"Persona 4 another hit for the series"
Persona 4 is the indirect sequel to Persona 3. Their stories are unrelated but they share many Gameplay elements such as personas and social links. This game has followed a very successful series of games with persona 3 getting the most hype. setting that aside this game was really good so if you lie Persona its worth checking out.
The story for persona 4 is very mysterious and kinda creepy. It starts out with your character moving to Inaba to live with your uncle and cousin. You move there because your parents are working overseas. I know it isn't the most unique setup but shortly after arriving a strange murder occurs. On top of that there is a strange rumor that on a rainy night if you stand in front of your TV at midnight you'll see your soul mate. The whole story is a mystery that involves both this rumor and murders that start happening. you find out that the people are being sucked into the TV and you and your friends are the only one who can save them. This story is pretty cool but not completely unique there are a few other games that involve being sucked into a TV.
The game is divided into two areas the TV world and the real world. In the TV world you try to save the people trapped there while fighting monsters called shadows. To fight these monsters your characters must utilize a special power called Persona. Personas are the true form of a person's personality and each character has their own persona with its own strengths and weaknesses. The main character is the only person capable of having more than one persona. The TV world is pretty much the main RPG part. You run around and fight monsters level up collect items that sort of thing. In the real world you play through the main character's life. you get to go to school, get called on by the teachers, join club and so on. the cool part is the social links. The social links are just like they sound, they are the connections you have with other people. they give extra strength to your persona when you create them through fusion. Also the way you interact with the characters can alter the story somewhat but nothing major.
Graphics and sound
Persona's graphics are okay they aren't phenomenal nor are they bad. The game features plenty of anime style cutscenes and when you talk to important characters an anime style image of the character shows up mostly to help you understand their mood. The music feature in the game is some kind of Japanese pop.
This game is definitely worth checking out at least once. This game is addicting and fun but after a while gets repetitive so if that's not really your thing then this game might not be for you.
