What is the best strategy for growing in Become a Legend?

I have tried midfield positions and forward positions.
Playing on amature level to keep things easy to determine best growth.

However, even though every match I score at least 8 points and am selected as MVP, I stay below growth potential (red curve). 1 match I succeeded in getting 20 points up in almost all categories, but I have no idea why and have never been able to reproduce such a gain in points. Even in matches where I score 10 points, I often only get an increase of just 3 - 4 points per category.

I have figured out though that stamina influences the growth. A tired player will gain less than a fit player.

Still, I wonder if there's anyone out there who manages to get a good gain in skill points. Also, has anyone ever gotten an extra star?

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
What you say makes sense. that's for example why sometimes I have already leveled up in a skill and it doesn't show after the match yet. So I understand that now.

However, I've been googling a bit and I found there's apparently an option to choose between leveling up all skills with average stats, or to assign points to skills yourself. However, that's maybe for the wii version or pc or ps3 version?
Does anyone know?

Also, can you or someone else give tips on how to get big increases because I always stay below the growth curve potential.

Thanks

The 3-4% gain u have after the match is the extra growth on top of your original growth. that means before that gain, they have already added maybe about 6-10% of your normal growth, unlike in the ML where you can see the big growth gain after the match because they included both the normal growth and the extra gain from the match as a whole.

you can have a look at ur next match to find out. after ur last match, record the percentage growth of 1 of ur ability, maybe offense. say it was 50%. after your next match you will find that the percentage gain is only maybe 4%, but the total percentage is now 60% instead of 54%. that is because they have put in the normal growth of 6% before they show u the extra gain.

hope this makes sense.
