**IN00********************* INTRO ***************************
-------------------------------------------------------------
Hello! Just to let you know, this is my first attempt at an FAQ, and I am
putting forth the best effort to make it as informative as anyone would need. I
donít claim to be perfect, just accurate. I am making every attempt to avoid
mistakes, but I will happily change any that I make. Please note that I have
made this guide purely for the Battling portion of Kingdom Hearts, and have no
intentions on explaining battle mechanics, storyline, etc., nor any information
on Map Cards, or anything that does not pertain to battling. Please use the
guide to the best of your advantage, and DO NOT copy any information, under any
circumstances. Thank you, and feel free to give feedback.

**DC00******************* DECK CARDS ************************
-------------------------------------------------------------
Your deck is composed of cards with values 0-9. The basis of playing this game
lies mostly in Card Breaks, which in essence is using a card with a greater
value than the enemy. You can edit your deck, as long as you stay within the
limits of your ďDeck CostĒ, and you can make up to three decks at one time. The
following section will detail every card that can be placed in your deck.

Location: Tells where to obtain the card for the first time.
Strength: Tells the cardís power (Keyblades only)
Element: Tells the special attribute of the card.
Recovery: Tells how quickly the card resolves.
Description: In-game description of the card.
Special Notes: Various information concerning the card.

-------------------------------------------------------------
**DC01************ KEYBLADES (ATTACK CARDS) *****************
-------------------------------------------------------------
Keyblades represent the physical strength of you deck. Itís recommended that at
least half of you deck is composed of these cards, as the are generally the
quickest way to break an enemy card, and they are used in the majority of
powerful sleights. Be careful when using Elemental-based keyblades, as they can
end up healing certain enemies if you target them with the wrong card.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________KINDGDOM KEY_______________________/
Location: Standard Attack Card; youíll begin the game with these.
Strength: D+
Element: Physical
Recovery: B

Special Notes: Youíll be stuck with these for a good portion of the game, but I
advise replacing most of them once you obtain better cards.
-------------------------------------------------------------

Glide/Superglide to obtain it.
Strength: C
Element: Lightning
Recovery: A
Description: A special attack card with lightning-based attacks.
Special Notes: The card isnít that great, but itís worth noting that it is
practically the only ďhiddenĒ treasure in the game.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________METAL CHOCOBO______________________/

Location: Found in Traverse Town in the Key to Rewards room.
Strength: B

-------------------------------------------------------------

Special Notes: Similar to elemental weapons, in that the keyblade can damage
enemies with frontal defenses.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________ULTIMA WEAPON______________________/
Location: Found in chests in Castle Oblivion, only after clearing Rikuís
storyline.
Strength: (Star)
Element: Physical
Recovery: B
Description: The strongest attack card to be found.
Special Notes: This is the strongest keyblade, but the deck cost can hurt. Use
sparingly, but by all means, use.
-------------------------------------------------------------

Location: Found in Castle Oblivion (F13) in breakable objects, after clearing
Soraís storyline.
Strength: B+

after completing Soraís storyline.
Strength: B

Special Notes: Same that applies for other fire-based keyblades.
-------------------------------------------------------------
**DC02****************** MAGIC/SUMMONS **********************
-------------------------------------------------------------
To offset the Keyblade cards used in you deck, you should provide a diverse set
of Magic Cards in your deck as well. Keep in mind certain Heartless have
elemental weaknesses, and the best way to exploit them is through magic cards.
Also make sure you provide enough curative magics when taking on tough battles.
I personally recommend keeping the number of (0) valued magics to a minimum,
because most take a while to resolve, and set you open to a card break.
Summons work in much the same way as magic, but take much longer to resolve.
Use summons sparingly, because they are very easy to break during boss battles.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\____________________________FIRE___________________________/
Location: Obtained After the first fight with Axel (F1)
Description: Deals Fire Damage.
Special Notes: Aims at a single target; strong against Ice-Based Heartless.
Fire homes in on the enemy, so you do not need to be facing the target for it
to hit them.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\___________________________BLIZZARD________________________/
Location: You will begin the game with one of these.
Description: Deals Ice Damage.
Special Notes: Blizzard ďpiercesĒ through enemies, but does not home in on the
like Fire does. It is strong against Fire-Based enemies.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\___________________________THUNDER_________________________/
Location: Obtained after the first fight with Larxene (F6)
Description: Deals Lightning Damage.
Special Notes: Thunder will more than likely hit an enemy that youíre targeted
on, and hits fast. It can also hit multiple enemies surrounding the targeted
one.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\____________________________CURE___________________________/
Location: You will begin the game with one of these.
Description: Recovers HP.
Special Notes: Cure is probably the most important card in your deck. Youíll
most likely want to use 3+ of these, possibly more for harder bosses. It might
also be a good idea to place these at the beginning of your deck, so reloading
will automatically bring them up. Be careful using sleights with Cure, so you
donít completely use them up.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\___________________________GRAVITY_________________________/
Location: Obtained in Agrabah in Map-created Treasure rooms.
Description: Deals Damage Relative to the enemyís remaining HP.
Special Notes: Gravity is a fairly poor magic, and takes a while to completely
resolve. However, it is used in many sleights, so it can be considered.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_____________________________STOP__________________________/
Location: Obtained in Wonderland in Map-created Treasure rooms.
Description: Halts enemy movement for a set time period.
Special Notes: Enemies inflicted with stop will not move or attack. You can
still attack while they are stopped, but the damage will not be immediately
taken, only after stop has completely resolved. Note that Stop is also used in
many powerful sleights.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_____________________________AERO__________________________/
Location: Received after the first fight with Riku (F7)
Description: Blows away nearby enemies and inflicts damage.
Special Notes: Aero is very weak unless used in a sleight, so I only suggest
using it to make Aeroga, Judgment, etc.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\____________________________SIMBA__________________________/
Location: Received in the Key to Beginnings room in Traverse Town from Leon.
Description: Simba lets out a mighty roar that deals damage to enemies in front
of him.
Special Notes: Simba deals a decent amount of damage, but only hits in a
straight line in front of him. He also takes a fair bit of time to actually
attack, so use him sparingly.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\____________________________GENIE__________________________/
Location: Received after the events at Agrabah.
Description: Genie casts Thundara, Gravira, or Stopra
Special Notes: I wouldnít advise this one much.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\____________________________BAMBI__________________________/
Location: Received after the events of the 100-Acre Woods.
Description: Bambi bounds around and drops HP orbs.
Special Notes: This is a faster way to heal than Tinker Bell, but still not
good for Boss Battles. Also note that Paradise Lv. 3 (3X Bambi) will stun
enemies that Bambi stomps on.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\____________________________DUMBO__________________________/
Location: Received after the events of Monstro.
Description: Dumbo douses enemies with water over a set time period.
Special Notes: Not only does Dumbo take forever to resolve (asking for a card
break), but he can only hit in front of him, and turns extremely slowly.
Consider something else.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________TINKER BELL________________________/
Location: Received after the events of Neverland.
Description: Tinker Bell restores a great amount of HP over time.
Special Notes: Tinker Bell is not an efficient replacement for Cure during Boss
Fights because it lasts too long, making it very easy for an enemy to break. I
only suggest using it if youíre going to put it at the end of a sleight or
combine more than one Tinker Bell together.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\____________________________MUSHU__________________________/
Location: Obtained in Hollow Bastion in the Key to Rewards room.
Description: Mushu breathes fire at the enemy, dealing fire damage.
Special Notes: You will go into a first-person style mode for Mushuís attack.
Tap X to fire as much as possible before he disappears.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\____________________________CLOUD__________________________/
Location: Received after the events of Olympus Coliseum.
Description: Cloud unleashes two successive sword attacks.
Special Notes: Cloud does on vertical slash and one horizontal slash. He is
definitely the best summon, and worth using, especially for the Omnislash
sleight (3X Cloud).
-------------------------------------------------------------
**DC03******************* ITEM CARDS ************************
-------------------------------------------------------------
Item cards can quite possibly be the vital spot of your deck. They all reload
cards back to your deck instantly, but will not reload under normal
circumstances. Their deck costs are very high, even for lower-numbered cards,
so you canít use many. Keep in mind a couple things when using them:
(1) If you use an Item Card that is broken before it resolves, it will reload
back into your deck.
(2) Item cards DO count as a reload. Take note of this when using enemy cards
that fade after a certain number or reloads.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________POTION____________________________/
Location: Youíll start the game with one of these.
Description:
Special Notes: This is probably the only good item card youíll have for quite a
while. Even when you receive the first Hi-Potion, its value wont be of any use.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________HI-POTION__________________________/
Location: Received in Olympus Coliseum in the Key of Guidance Room.
Description:
Special Notes: Hi-Potion will reload cards lost in sleights as well as premium-
value cards.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_______________________MEGA-POTION_________________________/
Location: Received after the Third Boss Fight with Riku (F11)
Description:
Special Notes: Again, its value will restrict you to using maybe one or two in
your deck.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________ETHER____________________________/
Location: Received in Agrabah, in the Key of Guidance Room.
Description:
Special Notes: This works the same way as a Potion, but for magic card and
summon cards.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_______________________MEGA-ETHER__________________________/
Location: Received after the First Boss Fight with Vexen (F11).
Description:
Special Notes: This works the same way as a Mega-Potion, but for magic and
summon cards.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________ELIXIR____________________________/
Location: Received in The 100-Acre Wood from Winnie the Pooh.
Description:
Special Notes: I suggest using at least one Elixir with a value of 8 or 9, at
least until you get a reasonable Megalixir to replace it.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________MEGALIXIR__________________________/
Location: Found on Destiny Islands in the Key to Rewards Room.
Description:
Special Notes: Unfortunately, the first Megalixir you get will be a (1) value,
so youíll need to do more searching for one of use. It is the best Item choice,
and although itís cost will be very high, a (8) or (9) valued Megalixir is more
than worth the cost.
-------------------------------------------------------------
**DC04******************* ENEMY CARDS ***********************
-------------------------------------------------------------
Enemy cards add unique abilities to your deck, but come with limitations. They
are obtained at the end of a battle in place of a normal map card, but only
appear with given percentages. An enemy card will always match the last
heartless killed as well. Bosses will also give you Enemy Cards, but only when
defeating them for the final time. Although Enemy cards will not account for
the total power of your deck, you should use ones that will benefit you in
different cases. Their deck costs vary with card effects, ranging anywhere up
to 99 DP, but each has its uses at times. They are separated from your deck
(press SELECT to flip through your Enemy Cards in Battle), and can only be used
once per battle. You can have multiples of the same card, of course, but you
will only have one copy of each boss card.
The following Map Cards will increase your chances of receiving an Enemy Card
from a battle:
~Almighty Darkness
~Teeming Darkness
~Looming Darkness
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________SHADOW___________________________/
Heartless Found: Found in every world (Using the Bottomless Darkness Map card
will generate a room with only Shadows).
Card Effect: (Incrementor) Increases the value of all cards by 1
Card Cost: 25
Limit: 2 Reloads
Special Notes: For such an easy card to get, Shadow is one of the greatest
enemy cards to use (Even Riku uses it in one of his Boss Fights). Donít get
confused, it only increases your cards.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________SOLDIER__________________________/
Heartless Found: Traverse Town, Wonderland, Twilight Town
Card Effect: (Combo Plus) Adds an extra hit to normal combos.
Card Cost: 15
Limit: 3 Reloads
Special Notes: Your combos will have 4 hits, the last one being the strongest.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________POWERWILD_________________________/
Heartless Found: Olympus Coliseum
Card Effect: (Retrograde) Reverses the values of all cards. 1 becomes 9, 2
becomes 8, etc. Cards with a value of 0 are not affected.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: This card is very good, especially if you get your hands on more
than one. If youíre suing it, you can place many low-valued cards in your deck,
keep your deck cost low, and still break nearly every enemy card.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________BOUNCYWILD_________________________/
Heartless Found: Olympus Coliseum
Card Effect: (Draw) Attracts fallen cards and items for easy retrieval.
Card Cost: 10
Limit: 5 Reloads
Special Notes: There is no practical use for this card other than ensuring that
youíll pick up a friend card, exp, etc.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________LARGE BODY_________________________/
Heartless Found: Wonderland, Monstro, Olympus Coliseum
Card Effect: (Guard) Deflects frontal physical attacks and completely nullifies
damage. 40
Card Cost:
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: N/A
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________FAT BANDIT_________________________/
Heartless Found: Agrabah
Card Effect: (Back Attack) Deals more damage when striking enemies from behind.
Card Cost: 40
Limit: 2 Reloads
Special Notes: Not really worth considering if youíre asking me.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_______________________SEARCH GHOST________________________/
Heartless Found: Monstro, Halloween Town, Atlantica
Card Effect: (Drain) Absorbs enemy HP when striking with attack cards, but
enemies will drop fewer items.
Card Cost: 35
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: Another good card, if you donít mind losing out on a bit of Exp.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________BANDIT___________________________/
Heartless Found: Agrabah
Card Effect: (Combo Finish) Makes the first strike as powerful as a combo
finish.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: This is fairly useful. In boss battles, when you expect to be
Card Break-ed often, it will make more of those unfinished combos you use.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________SEA NEON__________________________/
Heartless Found: Atlantica
Card Effect: (Random Values) Randomizes the values of cards you use.
Card Cost: 20
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: Your cards will spin with roulettes and choose a random number
when you use it. This is unreliable and fairly pointless.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_______________________RED NOCTURNE________________________/
Heartless Found: Traverse Town, Wonderland, Castle Oblivion, Olympus Coliseum
Card Effect: (Fire Boost) Increases the strength of fire-based abilities.
Card Cost: 20
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: Since most of the powerful elemental sleights are Fire-based,
this should be considered when relying on a fire-based deck. More than one may
be suitable to, since the deck cost is low.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\______________________BLUE RHAPSODY________________________/
Heartless Found: Traverse Town, Olympus Coliseum, Castle Oblivion
Card Effect: {Blizzard Boost) Increases the strength of ice-based abilities.
Card Cost: 20
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: Only consider if youíre a fan of Blizzaga, like me.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\______________________YELLOW OPERA_________________________/
Heartless Found: Monstro, Agrabah, Castle Oblivion
Card Effect: (Thunder Boost) Increases the strength of lightning-based
abilities.
Card Cost: 20
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: Same as the other elemental enemy cards, but for lightning-based
cards, although the only ones are Photon Debugger and Thunder.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\______________________GREEN REQUIEM________________________/
Heartless Found: Monstro, Agrabah, Castle Oblivion
Card Effect: (Cure Boost) Increases the potency of healing abilities.
Card Cost: 20
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: This is definitely worth your time in almost any deck, although
putting more than one in may be superfluous.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________AQUA TANK__________________________/
Heartless Found: Atlantica
Card Effect: (Auto-Reload) Automatically reloads cards when they run out.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: N/A
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_______________________AIR SOLDIER_________________________/
Heartless Found: Monstro, Twilight Town, Agrabah
Card Effect: (Reload Kinesis) Allows reloads while in motion.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 3 Reloads
Special Notes: This card can come in handy, allowing you to properly avoid
attacks and still reload normally.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\______________________BARREL SPIDER________________________/
Heartless Found: Percentage to appear when smashing barrels (Agrabah, Monstro,
Olympus Coliseum, Twilight Town, Neverland, Destiny Islands.)
Card Effect: (Quickload) Reloads cards instantly.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 3 Reloads
Special Notes: You simply have to click the reload card and your cards will
restock, just like it does in Rikuís storyline.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\______________________WIGHT KNIGHT_________________________/
Heartless Found: Halloween Town
Card Effect: (Float) Alters gravity to boost jumping abilities.
Card Cost: 15
Limit: 3 Reloads
Special Notes: The only practical use I could find for this is avoiding multi-
hit boss moves, such as Dark Aura.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________GARGOYLE___________________________/
Heartless Found: Halloween Town
Card Effect: (Vanish) Makes you invisible and reduces your chances of being
hit.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: Yes, youíll be see-through, and enemies will target you less
often, but I urge that you find something more useful.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________PIRATE_____________________________/
Heartless Found: Neverland
Card Effect: (All Zeros) Changes the values of all card to 0.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: This is more useful against slower enemies. I donít recommend it
in boss battles (Except maybe the last battle with Marluxia), because youíll be
constantly card broken.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\______________________AIR PIRATE___________________________/
Heartless Found: Neverland
Card Effect: (Item Bracer) Stops enemies from breaking item cards you use.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 3 Reloads
Special Notes: Item cards will reload if they are broken, but this can help if
youíre in a desperate spot and you absolutely need an item card.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________SCREWDIVER_________________________/
Heartless Found: Atlantica
Card Effect: (Decrementor) Decreases the values of all cards by 1.
Card Cost: 15
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: This is the reverse of Shadow, and can be used strategically
when pulling off sleights that require low card totals (Such as Ragnarok or Ars
Arcanum).
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________WYVERN___________________________/
Heartless Found: Hollow Bastion
Card Effect: (Reload Lock) Stops the reload counter from counting reloads.
Card Cost: 20
Limit: 3 Reloads
Special Notes: Basically, this is best at the start of a battle, preventing the
counter from increasing for 3 reloads. I donít suggest using it.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________DEFENDER__________________________/
Heartless Found: Hollow Bastion, Castle Oblivion
Card Effect: (Protect) Decreases the damage from physical attacks by the enemy.
Magical attacks do normal damage.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: This can be useful in some of the difficult boss battles,
especially the last fight with Riku.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________WIZARD____________________________/
Heartless Found: Hollow Bastion, Castle Oblivion
Card Effect: (Magic Boost) Disables use of Summon cards to power up magic
cards.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: This is the reverse effect of the Crescendo card, but Iím
unclear as to what it does exactly.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________BLACK FUNGUS_______________________/
Heartless Found: Found in any world when using a Black Room Map Card (3 will
always appear)
Card Effect: (Random Flush) Activates a random enemy card effect.
Card Cost: 40
Limit: 1 Reload (The limit will change to that of the random card)
Special Notes: This is interesting, although hard to get. Itís not exactly
reliable, but fun to play with. Donít expect to make much use out of it during
boss fights though.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\______________________WHITE MUSHROOM_______________________/
Heartless Found: Found in any world when using a White Room Map Card (3 will
always appear). You cannot receive the card by defeating them the normal way,
with magic cards. Instead, use either the Warp Sleight (Stop+Aero+Aero) or
Warpinator Sleight (Stop+Gravity+Aero)
Card Effect: (Hyper Healing) Restores some HP every time you use a friend card.
Card Cost: 40
Limit: 3 Reloads
Special Notes: This card takes a while to obtain, but it comes in very useful.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_____________________CREEPER PLANT_________________________/
Heartless Found: Wonderland, Halloween Town, Destiny Islands.
Card Effect: (Leaf Bracer) Stops enemies from breaking Cure abilities you use.
Card Cost: 35
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: This is one of the most useful cards in the game. If you can get
it early (Wonderland), it will benefit you very much. Of course, getting it
later in the game is still just as useful.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\______________________TORNADO STEP_________________________/
Heartless Found: Monstro, Destiny Islands
Card Effect: (Reload Haste) Subtracts 2 from the Reload Counter
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: N/A
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________CRESCENDO__________________________/
Heartless Found: Wonderland, Destiny Islands
Card Effect: (Summon Boost) Disables use of magic cards to power up summon
cards.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: I need clarification on exactly what this does.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________NEOSHADOW__________________________/
Heartless Found: Castle Oblivion
Card Effect: (Bio) Causes enemiesí HP to gradually drop.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 1 Reload
Special Notes: This is by far the best enemy card from normal Heartless. It
cannot kill an enemy, but will drop their HP to 1 if time permits. The drop is
significant enough to make the card worth using.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_______________________GUARD ARMOR_________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after the Boss Battle at Twilight Town.
Card Effect: (Wide Attack) Slightly extends the range of attack cards.
Card Cost: 30
Limit: 30 Attacks
Special Notes: I feel as though attack cards already have a decent reach, and
the cost for this card is way to high, so find a replacement.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________HADES____________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Hades in Olympus Coliseum.
Card Effect: (Berserk) Boosts the power of attack cards when low on HP (when
the gauge is flashing red).
Card Cost: 40
Limit: 30 Attacks
Special Notes: This can be used as a trump card, but make sure you time it
right.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\______________________TRICKMASTER__________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Trickmaster in Wonderland.
Card Effect: (Value Break) Decreases value of enemyís card when your card is
broken.
Card Cost: 25
Limit: 10 card breaks taken
Special Notes: Because of the deck cost and because it only works 10 times, I
suggest avoiding this card.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________JAFAR____________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Jafar in Agrabah.
Card Effect: (Attack Bracer) Stops enemies from breaking attack cards you use.
Card Cost: 65
Limit: 20 Attacks
Special Notes: If youíve got the space, try to fit this in. It helps protect
low-valued cards from card breaks.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________URSULA__________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Ursula in Atlantica
Card Effect: (Shell) Halves the damage from enemiesí magic attacks.
Card Cost: 50
Limit: 5 hits taken
Special Notes: Donít worry about this unless youíre fighting Vexen, Axel, or
Larxene. Itís virtually unhelpful anywhere else.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\______________________OOGIE BOOGIE_________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Oogie Boogie in Halloween Town.
Card Effect: (Regen) Gradually restores HP. HP returns more quickly when low.
Card Cost: 40
Limit: 10 Uses
Special Notes: This will activate automatically, you cannot control when the 10
Regens activate. It is very good to use, and the best time to use it would be
before reloading cards, giving you HP back as you wait for your deck to reload.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_____________________PARASITE CAGE ________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Parasite Cage in Monstro.
Card Effect: (Dispel) Nullifies an opponentís enemy card without fail. Nothing
happens if your opponent has no enemy cards in play.
Card Cost: 60
Limit: 1 Use
Special Notes: I find that the best place to use this is in the second Boss
Fight with Vexen, to nullify his Auto-Life.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________HOOK_____________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Hook in Neverland.
Card Effect: (Second Chance) Retains 1 Hp after a critical hit, provided you
have 2 or more HP left.
Card Cost: 35
Limit: 3 Uses (Resistant to lightning, stunned by fire)
Special Notes: The only uses for this are, again, in big Boss Battles,
especially when you take the blunt end of an enemyís sleight (especially Rikuís
Dark Aura).
-------------------------------------------------------------
\____________________DRAGON MALEFICENT______________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Maleficent in Hollow Bastion.
Card Effect: (Overdrive) Sacrifices reload speed to power up attack cards.
Card Cost: 70
Limit: 30 Attacks
Special Notes: If you use a lot of potions, consider using this card, since the
reload time wonít be a huge concern.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________DARKSIDE__________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Darkside on Destiny Islands.
Card Effect: (Mimic) Copies the enemy card your opponent is using. Nothing
happens if your opponent has no enemy card in play.
Card Cost: 99
Limit: 1 Use
Special Notes: Obviously, the 99 Deck Cost isnít very attractive, but Darkside
has a nice advantage against some bosses (especially copying Marluxiaís Double
Sleight).
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________RIKU_____________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Riku for the Fourth time.
Card Effect: (Sleight Lock) Keeps card used in sleights available for reloading
Card Cost: 80
Limit: 5 Sleights
Special Notes: You will be resistant to Fire, Lightning, and Ice when using
this card, and the ability to keep sleight sacrifices varies with use from deck
to deck.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\______________________CARD SOLDIER_________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating the Card Soldiers in Wonderland.
Card Effect: (Attack Haste) Increases the speed of attack cards.
Card Cost: 55
Limit: 30 Attacks
Special Notes: Obviously, this is a better choice than Guard Armor for those
using it, and may even be worth the cost during Boss Fights.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\___________________________ANSEM__________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained from a chest in Twilight Town after clearing Rikuís
Storyline.
Card Effect: (Sleightblind) Grants Sora Resistance to certain elements.
Card Cost: 40
Limit: 10 Sleights
Special Notes: The effect here is different than when Ames uses it, seeing how
itís pointless for your sleights to be hidden from the enemies. This isnít
worth using, but itíll give you a resistance to Fire, Ice, and Lightning if
youíre interested.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________XEMNAS___________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained in Castle Oblivion in the Key to Rewards Room, after
beating Soraís storyline.
Card Effect: When receiving consecutive attacks, guards beyond the second
strike.
Card Cost: 65
Limit: 3 Reloads
Special Notes: You are resistant to Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Special Attacks
when this is active. Unfortunately, it doesnít have much use by the time you
get it, since no normal Heartless uses combo hits.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________XIGBAR___________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained in Hollow Bastion in the Key to Rewards Room, after
beating Soraís storyline.
Card Effect: (Shot Charge) Powers up missile attacks such as Strike Raid and
Fire
Card Cost: 80
Limit: 2 Reloads
Special Notes: You are resistant to Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Special Attacks
when this is active. Use this if you use Raid sleights or Fire/Blizzard spells
often.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________XALDIN___________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained in the Key to Rewards Room in Monstro, after beating
Soraís storyline.
Card Effect: (Aero Guard) Activates Aero for a set time, inflicting damage to
enemies who touch it.
Card Cost: 65
Limit: 3 hits taken
Special Notes: You are resistant to Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Special Attacks
when this is active. This isnít that great, which is odd, considering how hard
Xaldin is in Kingdom Hearts II.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\___________________________VEXEN___________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Vexen for the second time in Traverse
Town
Card Effect: (Auto-Life) Revives you automatically when your HP reaches 0. Only
a small amount of HP is restored.
Card Cost: 60
Limit: 1 Use
Special Notes: You will be immune to ice with this card, but fire will stun
you. Make use of this card when youíre stuck in a tight spot and dying is more
than likely.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________LEXAEUS__________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained from a chest in Castle Oblivion, after clearing
Rikuís storyline.
Deck Cost: 99
*For details, see Rikuís Cards (DC06).
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________ZEXION__________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained from a chest on Destiny Islands, after clearing
Rikuís storyline.
Deck Cost: 65
*For details, see Rikuís Cards (DC06).
-------------------------------------------------------------
\____________________________SAIX___________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained in Traverse Town in the Key to Rewards Room, after
beating Soraís storyline.
Card Effect: (Combo Boost) Boosts power with every strike with an attack card.
Returns to normal when a card is broken.
Card Cost: 80
Limit: 20 Attacks
Special Notes: You are resistant to Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Special Attacks
when this is active. If you use a combo, each consecutive attack will do more
damage than normal. It seems to reset at the end of a combo as well.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\____________________________AXEL___________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Axel for the second time.
Card Effect: (Quick Recovery) Allows use of cards even while staggering from
damage.
Card Cost: 75
Limit: 10 hits taken
Special Notes: You will be immune to fire, but ice will stun you. This isnít
useful by the time you get it, since thereís only one more major boss battle to
look forward to.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\___________________________DEMYX___________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained in Atlantica in the Key to Rewards Room, after
beating Soraís storyline.
Card Effect: (Water Charge) Dramatically boosts power of ice-based attacks,
such as Aqua Splash and Blizzard.
Card Cost: 80
Limit: 2 Reloads
Special Notes: You are resistant to Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Special Attacks
when this is active. Just like Blue Rhapsody, only use if you feel like
spamming Blizzaga. Of course, replace those with this if youíre already using
them.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________LUXORD___________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained in Agrabah in the Key to Rewards Room, after beating
Soraís storyline.
Card Effect: (Omni Break) Breaks Enemy Cards no matter what the value.
Card Cost: 99
Limit: 15 Uses
Special Notes: You are resistant to Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Special Attacks
when this is active. Very, very useful, but once again, there isnít much fun to
get out of it once youíre eligible to get it.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________MARLUXIA__________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Marluxia the first time, at the end
of Castle Oblivion.
Card Effect: (Double Sleight) Use stocked cards and sleights twice in a row.
Card Cost: 99
Limit: 3 Sleights
Special Notes: You are resistant to Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Special Attacks
when this is active. This is my favorite enemy card in the game. Thereís
nothing more satisfying than watching Trinity Limit wipe out a group of
enemies, and then wipe out their reinforcements as well. It works with any and
every sleight, so have fun.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________LARXENE___________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained after defeating Larxene for the second time.
Card Effect: (Dash) Increases running speed.
Card Cost: 65
Limit: 15 cards
Special Notes: You will be immune to lightning, but youíll be more vulnerable
to Ice attacks. Running speed doesnít change much, itís just fun to use.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________ROXAS____________________________/
Heartless Found: Obtained in Twilight Town in the Key to Rewards Room, after
beating Soraís storyline.
Card Effect: Double Strike (Doubles the damage dealt by an attack card.
Card Cost: 99
Limit: 20 Attacks
Special Notes: The 20 attack limit is strict, but itís usually enough to
extinguish a whole group of heartless. This is one of the best cards in the
game, and definitely trumps cards like Saix and Hades.
-------------------------------------------------------------
**DC05************ FRIEND CARDS/GIMMIK CARDS ****************
-------------------------------------------------------------
Friend cards are different from others in that they are not directly added to
the deck, and do not cost any DP to use. Friend cards will appear randomly
during battle; most will only appear in certain worlds, but Donald and Goofy
will appear in almost every area. Individual friend cards each have their own
sleights, which will increase in power as more of their individual cards are
added to the sleight. They can come in handy, but youíll have to wait for one
to pop up on the field.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________DONALD___________________________/
Location/Appears at: Appears randomly in all worlds (Except your first run
through Destiny Islands)
Special Notes: Donald will always cast 2 in a row. It will be any combination
of Fire, Blizzard, Cure, and Thunder. Donald has a horrible habit of using the
wrong spell at the wrong time though (Cure at full health, thunder on thunder
enemies, and the such).
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________GOOFY____________________________/
Location/Appears at: Appears randomly in all worlds (Except Destiny Islands for
the first time).
Description: Goofy will spin around Sora and damage enemies he comes in contact
with.
Special Notes: Goofy alone isnít too great, since Goofy Tornado Lv. 1 doesnít
last very long. However, combined with other cards, Goofy can do a large amount
of damage, especially with Goofy Smash (Goofy + Attack Card).
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________ALADDIN___________________________/
Location/Appears at: Appears randomly in Agrabah.
Special Notes: Aladdin isnít too great damage-wise, but it might be worth
noting that you can get Moogle Points from his attack.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________ARIEL____________________________/
Location/Appears at: Appears randomly in Atlantica.
Special Notes: She will charge, and add an extra hit by pressing (Triangle).
The second part will damage surrounding enemies. She is fairly useful.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________JACK_____________________________/
Location/Appears at: Appears randomly in Halloween Town.
Special Notes: Jack will randomly cast one of the following: Thunder, Gravity,
or Blizzard. Stock more than one Jack will upgrade the spells, and he will cast
a number of spells equal to the number of Jackís stocked in the sleight.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________PETER PAN__________________________/
Location/Appears at: Randomly appears in Neverland.
Special Notes: Tapping (Triangle) will cause him to attack more, which causes
quite a bit of damage in the longrun, even with just one Peter Pan card. He is
especially useful in the Boss Fight against Captain Hook.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________THE BEAST__________________________/
Location/Appears at: Randomly appears in Hollow Bastion.
Special Notes: This is a 3-part attack, dealing a large amount of damage.
Definitely worth a go when you pick him up.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\__________________________PLUTO____________________________/
Location/Appears at: Appears randomly during certain boss fights.
Special Notes: Pluto will dig up random things, including Health Orbs, Cards
that were lost in sleights (which will be re-added to the deck), and sometimes
bones, which have no real effect.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_____________________*GIMMICK CARD*________________________/
Location/Appears at: Appears during certain boss battles (Only can be held at a
time).
Special Notes: Causes various effects during boss battles:
(1)	Guard Armor: Causes Guard Armor to completely collapse, and stuns him
for a while.
(2)	Parasite Cage: Causes the rotating platforms to disappear, which are
replaced by a larger platform.
(3)	Trickmaster: Causes the table to rise, damaging him if he is in the way.
(4)	Jafar: Levels out all moving floor panels for a short time.
(5)	Oogie Boogie: Obtained by smashing Oogieís presents. Removes the barrier
to Oogie and stuns him for a decent amount of time.
(6)	Ursula: Disposes of all of her tentacles at one time.
(7)	Dragon Maleficient: Creates a temporary hovering object for you to jump
on. It will move as you do, and will protect you from flames on the
ground.
(8)	Darkside: Temporarily raises columns from the ground leading to
Darksideís face.
-------------------------------------------------------------
**DC06******************* RIKUíS CARDS **********************
-------------------------------------------------------------
Unlike Sora, Rikuís Gameplay will not permit you to customize your deck. Each
world you enter will provide you with a new set of cards, usually including a
specific enemy card that can only be used in that world. Note that Riku has no
curing capabilities in his normal deck, so you will have to rely on certain
cards for healing. Riku will keep all Enemy cards obtained from Bosses for the
entirety of the game. His strength isnít determined by card type, since he only
has one attack card, but instead will increase should you decide to raise his
attack power upon level-ups. The following cards will appear in Rikuís Deck
throughout the game (Search the rest of the FAQ for more information; a *
indicates that it will be received after a boss battle):
~Potion
~Hi-Potion
~Gimmick Cards (these will have the same effects for bosses)
~Shadow (Traverse Town)
~Large Body (Wonderland)
~Powerwild (Olympus Coliseum)
~Fat Bandit (Agrabah)
~Search Ghost (Monstro)
~Sea Neon (Atlantica)
~Wight Knight (Halloween Town)
~Pirate (Neverland)
~Defender (Hollow Bastion)
~Guard Armor*
~Dragon Maleficient*
~Parasite Cage*
~Trickmaster*
~Darkside*
~Hades*
~Jafar*
~Oogie Boogie* (the only healing card that remains constant in your deck)
~Ursula*
~Hook*
The following cards are unique to Rikuís Deck. Note that after clearing Rikuís
storyline, Lexaeus and Zexion will become available in Soraís game:
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________SOUL EATER_________________________/
Location: Default attack card for Rikuís deck. This is his only attack card
throughout the story.
Description: Reacts to Dark Power. Rikuís strength is greater when he wields
darkness in battle.
Special Notes: The power of these cards will increase as you increase Rikuís
strength with level-up bonuses. The power further increases while he is in dark
mode.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________THE KING___________________________/
Location/Appears at: Appears randomly in battles as a friend card.
Special Notes: Using The King will heal Riku as well as stun all enemies on the
map. Donít be too hasty to use these, as they are the only consistent way to
heal yourself. Note that combining The King with two Soul Eaters will result in
the Holy Burst sleight, which can be quite fun to use.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________LEXAEUS____________________________/
Found: After defeating Lexaeus.
Card Effect: (Warp Break) Obliterate enemies with the finishing blow of a combo
with a high success rate.
Limit: 50 Attacks
Special Notes: You will be immune to ice and resistant to physical attacks
while this is active, but you will be more vulnerable to special attacks.
Unfortunately, it sounds better than it is, since Riku can almost ďobliterateĒ
anything anyway.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_________________________ZEXION____________________________/
Found: After defeating Zexion on Destiny Islands.
Card Effect: (Confu-strike) Causes attacks to confuse the enemy at a certain
rate.
Limit: 50 Attacks
Special Notes: You are resistant to Ice, Fire, Lightning, and special attacks
while this is active. This works on almost every hit; confused enemies will not
attack you normally, and will instead run around the map.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________DARKBALL___________________________/
Found: Placed in Rikuís Deck in Atlantica (this may be subject to change, this
is just where I had use of it)
Card Effect: (Duel Trigger) Activates duels no matter what the value.
Limit: 1 Use
Special Notes: This is only worth using against the boss. Note that this card
DOES NOT appear in Soraís game at all, even after beating Rikuís storyline.
-------------------------------------------------------------
**DC07******************* SPECIAL CARDS *********************
-------------------------------------------------------------
The two ďspecialĒ cards act as normal enemy cards, but have extremely useful
effects. They both have maximum deck costs, but trust me, theyíre well worth
it. To get these two cards, youíll have to obtain every other card in the game,
including every enemy card, so it may take a while.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\________________________GOLD CARD__________________________/
Found: Found in the first treasure chest you open in Castle Oblivion, after
completing 100% of the card collection.
Card Effect: (Premium Guard) Allows Premium cards to be reloaded.
Limit: 5 Reloads
Special Notes: Since this card lasts for 5 reloads, you can practically make a
deck filled with Premium cards and not worry about running out of cards.
-------------------------------------------------------------
\_____________________PLATINUM CARD_________________________/
Found: Found in the second treasure chest you open in Castle Oblivion, after
completing 100% of the card collection.
Card Effect: (Invincible) You will receive no damage.
Limit: 20 Attacks
Special Notes: Just as the effect says; go crazy, you earned it.
-------------------------------------------------------------
**VC00******************* VALUE CHARTS **********************
-------------------------------------------------------------
Every card has a specific value, ranging from 0-9. A specific card will cause a
card break if itís value is higher than the active one, with the exception of
0, which will be broken by anything if interrupted, or will break anything if
used after another card. Of course, higher valued cards will have higher deck
costs. To increase your Deck Cost, select it as a bonus when leveling up.
Premium (**) cards have lower Deck costs than normal (itíll be the same value
for all values of that premium card. Use the following charts to identify the
values of each card:

**SL00********************* SLEIGHTS ************************
-------------------------------------------------------------
Sleights are special attacks used by ďstockingĒ three cards with (Triangle) and
hitting (Triangle) again to release the attack. When you use a sleight, the
first card in the sleight will not reload. Also, Premium cards that are used in
sleights, but not as the leading card, will reload. They are very powerful, so
you should consider basing your cards around certain sleights. New sleights are
learned in different ways:
~Level Up
~Certain checkpoints in the game
~Received from various Treasure Chests
I will not be detailing the effects of any sleights, but the following is a
list of sleights and the cards needed to use them.

**SL02***************** RIKUíS SLEIGHTS *********************

ďCard DuelsĒ. This will occur when you use a card with the same value as the
enemyís active card. To win a card duel, you must break a certain number of
enemy cards in a given time limit. If you are successful, you will activate a
powerful sleight. Here is a list of Rikuís Sleights:
