What am I supposed to do in the generator room?

When you get to the generator room, you get to a platform where you have to shoot at a bubble wall which shoots lasers at you in the meantime. I tried blasting the wall down but there seems to be no ending. What am I missing?

Answer

I presume this is a Bob segment where he spits at a rotating wall of cubes. You're supposed to shoot the thing that's concealed behind the rotating wall. Create a hole in the wall and aim for the thing behind it (usually a glowing sphere). You'll see the boss health meter drop when it starts taking hits. Bob confronts these "power generator bosses" frequently throughout the remainder of the game.
