PvP Level?

How does the PvP matching system work? Im currently Lv. 25 and I keep getting invaded by people with full giants armor, smoughs hammer and the fastest dodge. Sometimes I get like 40.000 souls for a kill. How is that even possible? wouldn't make that my opponent significantly higher than me?

Depends on the sort of invading, if its forest invasions, or if its blue phantoms, then level doesnt matter either at all or as much....im not quite sure. as far as red phantom invading goes, i think its around 5-10 levels higher than you that can invade
