Final Fantasy XIII-2
Question from Foul_Dawn
Asked: 1 year agoIn FFXIII you could ATB-Cancel which is a skill to basically allow faster combat and advantages over enemies. I'm not going to explain what ATB-Canceling is so find it out on your own. Now onto my question.
When I've tried transferring this skill onto FFXIII-2 it seems a little lazy and doesn't like to give me a full charge once I swap the paradigms.
Note: I am following the rules of ATB-Canceling
Step 1 - Wait until full gauge and use all
Step 2 - Paradigm Switch for Full Gauge
Step 3 - Wait until full gauge and use all but DO NOT switch paradigms
Step 4 - Wait until full gauge and use all THEN paradigm switch.
What I've noticed in FFXIII-2 is that it works randomly at some points in time, for example one I find that works the most.
Step 1 - Wait for full charge and use then switch paradigms
Step 2 - Wait for Half Charge (2/3 for example) and use then switch paradigms
Step 3 - Repeat untill a full ATB-Charge occurs
Step 4 - Use up all the charge and DO NOT swap paradigms
Step 5 - Repeat
I would really like some help, It's difficult playing NCU (No Crystarium Usage) without properly knowing how to use this.

Note: This is not hacking or glitching the system. It is a legal and legit way to fight in the game and has been proving effective somewhat so far.
You mean ATB Refresh? In the strategy guide it says...
"The first ATB Refresh in any battle will always occur after the first Paradigm Shift. Afterwards, you can continue to obtain refreshes if you fulfill two conditions:
-You previously fully recharged the ATB Gauge.
-12 seconds have elapsed since the last ATB Refresh."
