Welcome to my guide for the Demo version of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time for the Sony PlayStation3.Thought that maybe I can break a trend in other types of guides that I do by trying to do one to cover a Demo version of a game. While new territory for me as I'll give it my best to cover this Demo to the best of my knowledge and will be good for my first attempt at a Demo guide.You may contact me at email@example.com, though be sure to have the subject of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time Demo.

Sly Cooper is the main protagonist of the game and has been in all the games prior. Sly was born in a lineage of the famed Cooper Clan and growing up learning the family traits so that one day Sly can take over the family heritage, the Thievius Raccoonus by the time he was 8 years old. The time that Sly was to inherit this book, a pack of criminals calling themselves "The Fiendish Five" had attacked the Cooper residence in search of the Thievius Racoonus. They had torn the pages out of the book, each taking a section of the book for themselves. As Sly's father had tried defending their home and failed to defend himself, his wife and his son Sly, resulting in their deaths forcing Sly to go to a orphanage.
It was there where he had met his lifelong friends, Bentely and Murray and also the place where the gang had went about pulling of their first heist together. While almost getting caught to some degree but were able to pull it off which was possibly a little too close for comfort.

Abilities: Expert Hacker
First member of the "Cooper Clan" under the guidance of Sly. He was delivered to the orphanage as an egg and Bentley does not know who his parets are nor does have any idea who they are. Often bullied and done what he could to hide from them. Bentley is fond of reading in his free time. Upon the arrival of Sly and Murray, he quicky became friends with them. Along with each of their skills; Bentley's knowledge, Sly's athleticism, and Murray's enthusiasm. With this combination they had then created a lifelong bond. Their very first heist was to steal the orphanage's cookies from Ms. Puffin due to Murray unable to sleep thinking about the cookies and thought about go about doing something about it. At first they were known as the "Cooper's 3" and then the heist was later dubbed "Cooky-Stealin'" Plan.
While the heist had taken longer than the 3 min. 42 sec. that was calculated by Bentley due to the janitor Scary-John came by to clean out the room. With Sly quickly thinking on his feet, used the funiture to grab the cookie jar, before Scary-John made his way into the room. After had grabbing the cookie jar, Bentley thought that Sly had failed as Sly then revealed that he had the cookies in his cap. The cooper gang was born.

Abilities: The Brawn
Murray is the strong, muscular hippopotamus and also the getaway driver for the gang. Also meeting Sly, and Bentley at the orphanage, becoming part of the gang. Murray's driving skill was due to him being a pizza delivery boy and in that time he had learned how to hot-wire other vehicles, but was fired with him dropping too many pizzas. He is known for having an enormous appetite, as well as the strongest of the group and is always ready for battle. Often referring to himself as "The Murray" persona during battling cause of the outfit he wears. While a nice guy, but seems to have a bit of repressed ager inside of him. Unknown if this was due to being in the orphanage or something else, which is never really explained in the series. It has been shown if his friend are harmed this is when he shows any kind of anger and/or violence.

Carmelina Fox, where do I begin on this? The love-hate interest of Sly Cooper. She has been after Sly trying to arrest him for quite some time, at least until after the events of Sly 3, where it seemed that they were putting their differences aside for the first time in the series. Although Sly was only going for the whole "fake out" routine with Carmalina, and as Sly slowly started back to his thieving ways, then it starts all over again.
Carmelina is a fourth generation Interpol agent. While black and white on the whole crime scene as she believes that any criminal should be brought to justice to pay for their crimes. It is unknown as to why Carmelina took up wanting to be in the law enforcement, though it had been rumored that she had witnessed a crime.

Dimitri, the rejected painter.While having what seems to be a promising future, while having a new take on painting by wrapping a rope arond his waist as he swung back and forth doing his painting.It was upon that method that he was not recognized by anyone and labeled as an "outcast".Joining the Klaww Gang in Sly 2: Band of Thieves, setting up a place in Paris, France; while importing illegal spice from Rajan.While using Clockwork's Tail Feathers for "painting plates" and after being defeated by Sly then arrested by Carmalina Fox.Though it was later shown that Dimitri as a "Dance" instructor on a cruise. After Dimitri's help in Sly 3, he returns to help Sly and the gang out by keeping in contact with them as they travel back in time to keep them up to date on the status of the Thievius Racoonus.
Although at a young age, Dimitri was sent to live with his granparents and grown up listening to stories about his grandfather, Reme Lousteau, going after treasure. His grandfather's life was cut short due to his diving gear being stolen. Dimitri had learned English by watching music videos and mimicing the movement of the mouths, and is often misunderstood.

If you're not familiar with the story up to this point you may want to watch the full story video.It'll help out to catch you up to that point of the series.I will not spoil much about about what goes on in it, and what happened to everyone after Sly 3: Honor Amongst Thieves.
At the start of the level, go straight and you can bust open a box for some coins, but be careful. After you get the coins it'll trigger a quick cutscene of a security helicopter and Sly will immediately take cover. Once the helicopter has flown over you can then destroy that box for some more coins and then take a left hand turn go straight jumping over a couple of pillars that come up. After you get to the end you'll have to take the only left turn jumping over the hump. Then drop down and bust any breakable objects [optional] then take the right to the edge but with having to do some jumping on the way over. When you make it to the edge this is when you can go about using the Right Analog stick to get a layout on what's going on including on where the helicopter takes its course. Take a moment to see the pattern that the helicopter takes.
Once you drop down be sure not to get spotted, due to some of the search lights that if you get spotted at least once, it's over. After you drop down, when you see the spot light go to the left wait for it to head back in the other direction before you go about making your move. When it starts heading back, perform a double jump followed by circle to get on the antenna. Once that you do that do another double jump followed by circle to get on the pipe and finally do the same to get onto the cable.The moment that you're on the cable change the camera to the right then head down to where you see the cable come to like a 90 degree angle. Before you get there the game will take over and that's when you'll notice Murray doing what Sly tags as "Truck Surfing".
Make the jump onto the other rope then take that way 'til you come to a little area that you can safely jump down without alerting any guards that are near. Once down there jump onto the pipe that leads up to a balcony. If you have problems getting onto the pipe jump onto the rotating air vent then make a jump to a double jump if necessary to cling onto the pipe. As you climb on the pipe it'll start leaning towards the right. Let it do this before jumping onto the balcony. After getting onto the balcony you'll need to get onto the ledge by the window. In order to do that do a jump followed by the circle button. Stay on the ledge 'til you come to another balcony type area, then jump down. Be careful of the spotlight in that area. This area is like that one area before jump onto the antenna. Once on the antenna, jump onto the pipe then onto the gutter and climb up it. When you're as far as you can then jump off then quickly press circle to get onto the roof. Run towards the glass ceiling then double jump quickly followed by circle [button].Make a jump followed by the circle to get onto the cable. Do a jump and a cutscene will trigger about security seems to have been beefed up for the heist.
After the drop there'll be two search lights. This is where you definitely have to be careful. Study the light movements before you make your move. Once you have the pattern down go to the air vent then jump onto the pole and climb it. After you climb you want to jump quickly by circle to go about zip lining down to a balcony. When you had got on it to slide down, and after a bit it'll trigger another cutscene which you'll need to need to get on another ledge. Just like the last ledge you had to get onto but this time it'll be a little more difficult due to having a light to avoid. Wait for it to move up so you can move across. When you make it over, make your way to the balcony. Make your way across the balcony jump on the edge then onto the pipe to climb up it. Jump onto the next sparkled blue light then do it again to climb up another pipe. When you're up on the roof there'll be a building like a green house on there but there's also a search light. If you get on top of the building to the other side of it, you'll find a Sly Mask.
In order to go get it, go to the left side of the building, jump onto the cargo by double jumping. Jump onto the roof then go to the end, but be sure to watch the pattern of the helicopter before you drop down. Drop down and get the Sly Mask. Head back to where you were, do the same thing as you went over by going to the left as you're facing the building get on some cargo, do a double jump to get back to where you were. Once back there drop down then get on a rotating air vent then jump onto the antenna, and then jump onto the balcony. Watch out for the search light as you work around that, past the window to see another rotating air vent. Jump onto it then do a double jump, and once you do that you'll then need to sneak up to a guard to pickpocket the key. This is one of those times you'll have to sneak up slowly behind to pickpocket his bag until you get the key. After you have obtained the key perform a stealth attack [Triangle, Square] to finish him off. Once you do that walk up to the lock and press circle to trigger a cutscene. That is it for Sly in this stage.
Due to the security beams, it is up to Bentley to go about hacking into the security system. At the start of the level for Bentley, you'll need to head straight but be sure to jump over or you'll fall down into the water. Once you get in the sewers, follow until you come to a blockage and there looks to be no way around it. This is when the bombs that Bentley has come into use. To throw one you have to press Triangle near the blocked area. After it is taken out you'll need to double jump to the next area, then perform another double jump to get into another tunnel. There are a few crates there you can throw a bomb onto to get some coins. Then you want to go in the tunnel to another blocked way, and like the last time throw a bomb to dispose of the blocked off area. This is when the booster pack comes in handy cause after the first double jump, you'll need to hold down on the "X" button to hover to the next tunnel. Follow the tunnel 'til you come to the end where you'll need to use a bomb to take out a couple gears. Throw a bomb onto the gears. After the gears have been taken care of you'll need to double jump twice with the use of the booster pack to get to the next tunnel. Once past that you'll come to another area that represents another subway. Before you go about getting across go to the left and then into like a area to find another Sly Mask. After getting it then go about double jumping at least three times to get past this area with help of the booster pack.
Follow the tunnel 'til you come across what looks to be a manhole cover. Aim and throw a bomb onto it once disposed of drop down it. It'll trigger a cutscene with security beams. Once you get control of Bentley head straight through the tunnel while jumping over any security beams that are on the floor. The moment you get to the end of the tunnel there'll be two guards and there's a chance you can pickpocket their bags if you are able too. To dispose of them, aim and throw a bomb onto the closest one to you. When he's taken out the other will go into alert for a bit but not too long of one. After he's not in alert dispose of him the same way as you did the other. Once they're both taken out head to the computer to hack into it.
Now comes to hacking the computer. Go up, then to the right and head down 'til you have to make a left, then finally a quick turn upward. When getting into the next section head up and then to the right. As you head right use the Right Analog stick to shoot at the Fire Wall. Once you get past that get on the teleporter to get to the next section. When in the next area take care of the Fire Wall to the left to get a key. Take the key and put it in the lock to unlock a barrier to get to the teleporter to the next area. Once in the next area go down, and to the left to take out the Fire Wall so you can get an upgrade to deal with a tougher security system. There'll be two tanks that will come out to try to take care of your tank as you attack the purple barrier to get through only to take care of another purple barrier. Once you have got past the second there'll be a couple more tanks coming out to try to dispose of you. Once that you have taken care of the tanks as well as the Fire Wall to the left protecting the key as well as where you can downgrade to what Bentley had use of before. The downgrade is up at the top in the middle, and once you have downgraded head down to the left to get the key. Take the key to the upper left to unlock to get to the teleporter for the first step of lowering the security beams.
Now it's Murray's turn to do some damage. As you start at Murray's point at the level, you'll want to head straight and take out the guard in front of you. Be careful cause once you do that there'll be others on the way to see if there's something wrong. You'll have to face around about a half dozen or so guards as you head straight and before you have to make a right hand turn. Before getting to that turn there'll be a couple guards to dispose of once you get there. Take them out in any way you would feel the need to get by them. After taking the right turn not long afterwards there'll be a couple more guards that you have to worry about. Take care of them as quickly as possible. Once you get near the gate there'll be three more to deal with before Bentley can open the door for you. As the gate opens you'll get ambushed by a few guards and quickly have to press circle when it calls for it to take care of these pesky guards. Once they're taken care of head straight to the lift and let it help you up. After you're on the loading dock, stomp by pressing circle to pick up an object and throw it to the right to the security panel. Throw by using Square. After that go to the other crate, stomp to pick it up take it straight and to where the other security panel is and throw it when you see an arrow.
Once you have done that the security beams will be released allowing Sly to take the Sword. Now that the Security Beams are down, Sly will glide down and once you're near it, press circle to steal it, triggering another cutscene involving Carmelina Fox. After the cutscene you'll get into the van, and you'll be able to control the van in terms of moving it left or right, but you won't have to worry about crashing to do it over anyways. Once they are out of the garden part of the museum, a cutscene will trigger for a few seconds and then you'll have to press circle to punch it. Once you do that then you'll have another cutscene explaining on what's going to go on as Sly and the Gang travel back in time by keeping in contact with Dimitri.
