Review by Man0nFire_

"aversge fighting game,a little disappointing."

This is a bit of a weird review because obviously, there's so much characters to choose from and so much of the game to analyses, so in that respect it's a really well-designed game and it's obviously had a lot of time spent on it. However, and this is true for more games than one, when you introduce online elements such as lag, the game becomes much more stressful and humiliating if you don't have that much experience in moves and combos, or simply playing under the conditions of lag and delay; in which case you -might- find yourself rage-quitting because it -is- stressful.

The game's juggling system became awkward ever since they introduced the bounding system in Tekken 6, it not only added to the wide range of annoying strategies people use online, but made players that more cautious of getting launched in whatever mode they're on. This is only made even more annoying in the new Tekken Tag Tournament with the Tag Assault where your bounds are turned into bounces and your tag partner finishes the juggle. I'd like to say on that note people love King's throw from the air.

The stages and soundtracks however are fantastic, I can listen to most of the extended versions people have put together on YouTube endlessly before I get bored, and dub-step isn't usually that attractive to me. The only things that annoy me about them is the amount of people and objects they put in the stage that slows the game down enough to distract you, and the multiple types of breaks; floor/balcony/wall.

Some of the games endings such as Wang's, Kuma's and Panda's raised a laugh and seeing an increase of the ending video time was quite shocking considering how big the game is. I can't really say much about the new customization mode because I preferred the one in Tekken 6, although it's quite the same with the different categories of clothing and accessories.

The new mode they have introduced is something to do with Combot, I've played through it but I've already forgot what it's called and it wasn't that fun. Some of the laughs they put in on purpose were funny but I couldn't help but feel a little bored going through the very basics, it was interesting being introduced to using tag assaults however as I said, they've made the game a little more annoying in terms of juggling.

That's all I have to say about the game really. It's a good and well-designed game, however when you go online people just abuse the online mechanics and, as it is trainable to rise over, I'm not personally motivated enough to train for that long.
