"Tekken Tag extends it's lifespan for another decade"

Gameplay: 9/10
The game mechanics is same as Tekken 6. You have the option to choose 1 or 2 characters against your opponent. Your juggles and tag combos are extended by bounds. The good thing is, you can execute an emergency tag while your character is in ground state or bound state at the cost of your character's health bar not able to recover and your tag partner's rage is cancelled automatically. There is also Offline Ranking system in this game similar to Tekken 5 if you don't like ranking up Online. Money isn't scarce in this game. Most of the customizable items you collect are random rewards from Ghost Battle. There is also a decent tutorial for those who are new to Tekken series which is called Fight Lab. It teaches most of the basic, advanced and intermediate things about Tekken such as launcher, bounds, knockdown, etc.

Graphics: 9/10
The character renders are a downgrade from Tekken 6. The loading times are to slow compared to it's arcade version. Customization is still a whore because of the loading times. The characters also gets dirty a the match progress whenever they fall on the ground. Most characters in-game have bulky arms and legs. There are more stages that have interaction with the players such as breakable walls, floors, etc.

Sounds: 9/10
Every hit differs from a human, robot, animal or wooden character. Robot gives metal sound effects when juggled whereas Mokujin gives the impression of a wood getting pummeled. The damage of the move is directly proportional to the loud effects of the move. Particularly unblockable moves that give the loudest sounds in the game.

Replay Value: 10/10
This vast number of characters in this game and the vast number of combo possibilities that you can try makes you come back for more. This sequel will last another decade like the first Tag Tournament. You can either rank in Offline modes or Online modes.

Overall: 9/10
I gave it a 9/10 simply because of the flaws of the game, particularly the customization which lacks freedom to choose a different gloves and shoes/socks. Gloves are dependent on the upper clothes you equipped while shoes/socks are dependent on the lower clothes you equipped. Furthermore, the costumes from the previous Tekken series are not included nor available to purchase as customizable items.

This game needs more improvement on the customization part which was the best selling point of BandaiNamco games like Idolm@ster and Soul Calibur series.
