1. Introduction: (Int1)

Welcome to my Weapons/Gadgets/Items Guide for the original Ratchet & Clank.
This is my first in depth FAQ, and I'm writing it well after the game's
release, so I hope someone finds a use for it one day.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Weapons: (Wea2)

In this section, you will find all the details I could get on every weapon
in the game. Following is an example of the set up:

Name:
Cost:
Location: (If there is a cost, where it is first bought, if not then it's
where you can find it)
Max Ammo:
Ammo Cost: (The number in brackets is the Gadgetron PDA cost)
Ammo Restored Per Crate:
Description:

Weapons will be listed in order of the planet they are first available on.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.1 Weapon Details: (Wea2.1)

Name: Omniwrench
Cost: N/A
Location: Start with it
Max Ammo: Unlimited
Ammo Cost: N/A
Ammo Restored Per Crate: N/A
Description: The default melee weapon, attatched to the square button at all
times. You can do a three swing combo on the ground, throw it by holding
crouch and pressing square, or jump into the air and do a powerful downward
smash by pressing square.

Name: Bomb Glove
Cost: N/A
Location: Start with it
Max Ammo: 40
Ammo Cost: 5 Bolts (25)
Ammo Restored Per Crate: 3
Description: The default weapon which you start with. It throws bombs to
a location indicated on the ground by a circle. These bombs explode on
contact. It is suprisingly strong for an early game weapon, and can be used
to blow up several walls to reach golden bolts. It has a fairly short range.

Name: Pyrocitor
Cost: 2,500 Bolts
Location: Novalis
Max Ammo: 240
Ammo Cost: 1 Bolt (5)
Ammo Restored Per Crate: 20
Description: The first weapon which you have the opportunity to buy.
A basic flamethrower with a short range. Whilst it is initially great against
small enemies, it is easily bested in every way by the Tesla Coil when you
can afford it. Hold circle for best results.

Name: Blaster
Cost: 2,500 Bolts
Location: Kerwan
Max Ammo: 200
Ammo Cost: 1 Bolt (10)
Ammo Restored Per Crate: 25
Description: An early weapon, and yet one that you will keep using for a
majority of the game. Hold down circle to release a continuous stream of
bullets. The bullets also have a small degree of auto-aim, and can veer
towards the enemies that was locked on to via the green circle. It is fairly
weak however, and only has a medium range.

Name: Glove of Doom
Cost: 7,500
Location: Eudora
Max Ammo: 10
Ammo Cost: 40 Bolts (100)
Ammo Restored Per Crate: 1
Description: With an aiming system much like the bomb glove, this glove
allows you to throw out tiny little balls. Each ball releases 4 Agents of
Doom that follow you around and attack an enemy on sight. They are quite
useful, however they do die easily.

Name: Suck Cannon
Cost: Free
Location: At the end of one of the mission paths in Eudora.
Max Ammo: 5
Ammo Cost: Suck up enemies.
Ammo Restored Per Crate: 1 shot per enemy sucked.
Description: This gun allows you to suck up small enemies or crates, and then
fire them out at other enemies. Hold down circle to suck, and once at max
capacity, press circle to fire. Note that if you release circle before
reaching max capacity you will have to fire the contents before sucking in
any more.

Name: Taunter
Cost: 2,500 Bolts
Location: Nebula G34
Max Ammo: Infinite
Ammo Cost: N/A
Ammo Restored Per Crate: N/A
Description: Hold circle to make all enemies within hearing distance charge
towards you. It's more useful than it may sound however. For instance, it can
stop enemies shooting at you, and instead make them easy targets. It can also
lure enemies into lasers, which will kill them. It is also needed for one of
the final golden bolts.

Name: Mine Glove
Cost: 7,500 Bolts
Location: Rilgar
Max Ammo: 50
Ammo Cost: 5 Bolts (15)
Ammo Restored Per Crate: 5
Description: A glove with the same aiming system as the others. Pressing
circle will throw an inanimate mine down on the ground. When an enemie comes
close, the mine will jump into life and chase them down. Note that these
mines will blow up if they are dropped from too much of a height.

Name: Devastator
Cost: 10,000 Bolts
Location: Batalia
Max Ammo: 20
Ammo Cost: 50 Bolts (100)
Ammo Restored Per Crate: 2
Description: Possibly the most useful gun in the game (outside of the
R.Y.N.O.), this gun shoots rockets that home in on enemies. Without aiming
this gun will fire straight forward, and the rocket will curve towards an
enemy if it is within a small distance. However in look mode, this gun seems
to have almost infinite range. It can be very useful for shooting enemies
from a distance without engaging in combat.

Name: Walloper
Cost: 7,500 Bolts
Location: Gaspar
Max Ammo: Infinite
Ammo Cost: N/A
Ammo Restored Per Crate: N/A
Description: The only melee weapon outside of the wrench, the Walloper allows
you to smash through nearby enemies. It is extremely powerful, however it
takes a long time to use more than once. All in all I don't find it too useful
except against the explosive orbs that you find on Gaspar.

Name: Visibomb Gun
Cost: 15,000 Bolts
Location: Pokitaru
Max Ammo: 20
Ammo Cost: 100 Bolts (200)
Ammo Restored Per Crate: 1
Description: Upon firing a rocket from this gun, you can control it's path.
This makes it very useful for shooting enemies from a distance and is
required for some golden bolts. If you tilt the bomb too far up or to the side
however, your vision will grey out and the bomb will disappear doing nothing.
The high ammo cost however does mean that it should be used sparingly, or in
conjunction with the Devastator

Name: Decoy Glove
Cost: 7,500 Bolts
Location: Pokitaru
Max Ammo: 20
Ammo Cost: 10 Bolts (50)
Ammo Restored Per Crate: 2
Description: A glove that throws out life sized Ratchet dolls! These easily
fool the enemy into attacking them, allowing you to pick them off easily.
They are destroyed fairly quickly however, so you have to be fast.

Name: Drone Device
Cost: 7,500 Bolts
Location: Hoven
Max Ammo: 10
Ammo Cost: 40 Bolts (100)
Ammo Restored Per Crate: 1
Description: After equipping it from the menu/quickselect screen, a ring of
10 drones will appear around you. These will attempt to block bullets hitting
you or blow up on enemies charging you. Using it again will respawn your
ring of drones.

Name: Tesla Claw
Cost: 40,000 Bolts
Location: Olantis
Max Ammo: 240
Ammo Cost: 1 Bolt (10)
Ammo Restored Per Crate: 20
Description: The most expensive weapon in the game (minus the R.Y.N.O.), the
Tesla Coil shoots out a beam of midranged electricity that automatically
targets the nearest enemy. This makes it a great weapon to just run straight
through missions with, and can wipe out small groups of enemies in no time.

Name: Morph o Ray
Cost: Free
Location: At the end of one of the Olantis mission paths.
Max Ammo: Infinite
Ammo Cost: N/A
Ammo Restored Per Crate: N/A
Description: This amazing gun turns enemies into chickens! The bigger the
enemy, the longer it will take to transform. Once transformed, the chickens
can either be left alone or killed with a swing of your wrench. It has about
the same range as the flamethrowerm and lacks an auto lock on, meaning you
have to make sure the beam is hitting the enemy at all times, or else you
will have to start again. This gun is required for a certain skill point.

Name: R.Y.N.O.
Cost: 150,000 Bolts
Location: Rilgar (Shifty Salesman)
Max Ammo: 50
Ammo Cost: 20 Bolts (50)
Ammo Restored Per Crate: Never found in crates.
Description: The ultimate weapon. Bought from that shifty dealer on the
mission path on Rilgar that leads to the Hoverboard Race, this gun fires out
10 rockets every time you shoot. And each rocket homes in on an enemy. The
only drawback what so ever is that you can't get ammo from crates, and the
hefty price tag.
