    Introduction [2000]

Welcome to the Okami Enemy FAQ. This document contains a strategy for each
enemy and boss. The locations of the bosses will be listed as well, as will
the first encounter point of each enemy. If people want me to, I will also
list which Floral Finishers yield Demon Fangs from which enemies, and how many.

    Enemies

    Green Imp

These monkey-like enemies attack you with an extending pole. They have nothing
to protect them, however, so just pummel them to death.

    First appearance: Cave of Nagi

    Red Imp

These imps have a lute that they can throw like a boomerang. After attacking
them a few times, they will use their lute to defend. Power Slash the lute,
    then kill them.

    First Appearance: Kamiki Village

    Yellow Imp

These imps can burrow underground to avoid damage. They also have a drum that
they play a bit after surfacing. The playing of the drum is a warning that
they are about to submerge. When they surface, get behind them and attack to
get them out of the ground. Then keep attacking them. If they are left alone
for too long after they come fully out of the ground, they will hold their drum
like a rocket launcher, and use it like one too.

    First Appearance: Hana Valley

    Blue Imp

These imps seem to have an obsession with kite flying. In other words, they
fly using a kite. Power Slash them to ground them, then finish them off.

    First Appearance: Kusa Village

    Black Imp

These imps have skulls floating around them that shoot lasers at you. Power
Slash the skulls to break them, then finish off the imp. It can kick you if
you destroy the skulls, but it should be too busy getting pounded to actually
    do it.

    First Appearance: Calcified Cavern

    Headless Guardian

These are basically a stronger version of the Red Imp. Fight them the same way.

    First Appearance: Ryoshima Coast

    Bell Guardian

These are basically a stronger version of the Yellow Imp. Fight them in the
    same way.

    First Appearance: Ryoshima Coast

    Halo Guardian

These are basically a stronger version of the Blue Imp. Fight them in the same
    way.

    First Appearance: Ryoshima Coast

    Executioner Guardian

These are basically a stronger version of the Black Imp. Fight it in the same
    way.

    First Appearance: Oni Island

    Namahage

These are basically a stronger version of the Green Imp. Fight it in the same
    way.

    First Appearance: Kamui

    Blade Namahage

These are basically stronger version of the Headless Guardian. Fight it in
    the same way.

    First Appearance: Kamui

    Bucket Namahage

These are basically a stronger version of the Bell Guardian. Fight it in the
    same way.

    First Appearance: Kamui

    Umbrella Namahage

These are basically a stronger version of the Halo Guardian. Fight it in the
    same way.

    First Appearance: Kamui

    Cannon Namahage

This is basically a stronger version of the Executioner Guardian. Fight it in
    the same way.

    First Appearance: Kamui

    Clay Soldier

This is basically a stronger version of the Namahage. Fight it in the same way.

First Appearance: Shinshu Field (Through Spirit Gate)

    Clay Samurai

This is basically a stronger version of the Blade Namahage. Fight it in the
    same way.

First Appearance: Shinshu Field (Through Spirit Gate)

    Clay Drummer

This is basically a stronger version of the Bucket Namahage. Fight it in the
    same way.

First Appearance: Shinshu Field (Through Spirit Gate)

    Clay Flyer

This is basically a stronger version of the Umbrella Namahage. Fight it in the
    same way.

First Appearance: Shinshu Field (Through Spirit Gate)

    Clay Shogun

This is basically a stronger version of the Cannon Namahage. Fight it in the
    same way.

First Appearance: Shinshu Field (Through Spirit Gate)

    Bud Ogre

You canít hurt them at first. Instead, attack them until they become stunned,
then use Bloom on the bud when prompted to do so. This will expose their weak
points, which you must attack. If they get up, repeat the process.

    First Appearance: Tsuta Ruins

    Chimera

This is basically a stronger version of the Bud Ogre. However, once itís
stunned, just attack it. Long-range attacks are suggests, because when itís
damaged, it shoots boiling water out of the kettle that is itís main body.

    First Appearance: Gale Shrine

    Igloo Turtle

This is basically a stronger version of the Chimera. However, when itís
stunned, a flame is ignited on itís tail, which you must use Inferno with to
melt itís shell. Then attack the weak spot, which looks like a bundle of dried
    straw.

    First Appearance: Kamui

    Dead Fish

This strange flying goldfish attacks you with fin-shaped projectiles. Knock it
out of the sky with a Power Slash, then attack it until it runs at you. It
will try to latch onto you. When or before it does, Power Slash it to end it.
Otherwise, it will detonate on you.

    First Appearance: Shinshu Field

    Crow Tengu

These enemies are basically flying Red Imps. The main difference is that Power
Slash only forces their sword out of the way of your attack. The sword cannot
    be destroyed.

    First Appearance: Taka Pass

    Ubume

These are basically a stronger version of the Crow Tengu. The main difference
is that they have both a sword and an umbrella. Use Galestorm when they defend
with the umbrella to make it snap back and leave them vulnerable.

    First Appearance: Ryoshima Coast

    Fire Eye

These enemies shroud themselves in flame. Use Galestorm to dispel the fire,
then attack them. Repeat as necessary.

    First Appearance: Moon Cave

    Ice Mouth

These enemies can be a pain if you donít know what to do. They shroud
themselves in a shield of ice crystals. If you have Inferno and a source of
fire, great! Use the fire to your advantage as it does major damage and
dispels the ice shield. If not, fear not. You can use a Cherry Bomb to dispel
the ice shield as well, and damage it almost as much, if not as much. Attack
them at that point to finish them off.

    First Appearance: Moon Cave

    Thunder Ear

These enemies shroud themselves in electricity. Use wind to dispel the
electricity, then attack them to finish them off.

    First Appearance: Ryoshima Coast

    Earth Nose

These things are fast! Plant a Cherry Bomb in its path to dispel its shield
upon detonation and damage it as well, or use mist to slow it down and dispel
its shield. Then proceed by attacking to finish it off.

    First Appearance: North Ryoshima Coast

    Fire Doom Mirror

Exactly like the Fire Eye, at least, at the size you fight them as they are.
Fight it like you would a Fire Eye.

First Appearance: Emperorís Palace (Microscopic View)

    Ice Doom Mirror

Fight it like you would an Ice Mouth.

First Appearance: Emperorís Palace (Microscopic View)

    Thunder Doom Mirror

Fight it like you would a Thunder Ear.

First Appearance: Emperorís Palace (Microscopic View)

    Wind Doom Mirror

Fight it like you would an Earth Nose.

First Appearance: Emperorís Palace (Microscopic View)

    Poltergeist

This is the final enemy in the wheel group. It can call on all 4 of the wheel
class elements. I suggest against using Cherry Bombs, however, as that will
separate itís three parts. When that happens, the parts will create a
whirlwind. Avoid this whirlwind, as well as the wind coming from each part to
make the whirlwind. Getting caught in the wind will cause you to get thrown
toward one of the parts. It will then bat you to another of the parts, which
will bat you to the last, which will bat you to the ground. This is a three
hit combo, so max godhood would be completely eliminated, and any hits after
the elimination of an incomplete godhood would take off 1 piece of health.
That makes for a possible total of 3 health pieces taken off. Ouch! Anyway,
fight it like you would a wheel, but try not to use Cherry Bombs.

    First Appearance: Catcall Tower

    Ichiro

This is an armored shark that is created by the combination of Jiro and Saburo.
Power Slash off itís armor, then finish it with ranged attacks. Rosaries seem
    to work well.

    First Appearance: Sunken Ship

    Jiro

This is a hermit crab that launches mines at you. Break his shell while
avoiding his projectiles, and then finish him off. Heíll be pushing up
    daisies before long.

    First Appearance: Sunken Ship

    Saburo

This is a hermit crab that digs holes. This is bad, because heís looking for
water. If you let him dig deep enough, the arena will flood. Fight him like
    you would Jiro.

    First Appearance: Sunken Ship

    Blue Cyclops

This enemy has an attack that I will refer to as Fury Mode. Simply attack him,
while watching out for his attacks. If the fire in his pipe goes out, quickly
ignite it or he will start his Fury Mode. He will be temporarily invincible at
that point, and will be trying to give you an extreme dose of pain. After his
little fit, continue fighting him. He will eventually bite the dust.

    First Appearance: North Ryoshima Coast

    Great Tengu

GreatÖA flying version of the Blue Cyclops, Fury Mode included. Stronger too.
Attack him until he starts getting steamed, quite literally. At that point,
you have to cool him off with water or ice. If you wait too long, he will
enter Fury Mode. If it comes to that, you must endure until he calms down.
After that, continue fighting him until he falls.

    First Appearance: Wawku Shrine

    Red Oni

These things have a protective face mask. Attack them from the side or back,
and if you stun them, you can Power Slash the mask to cut it in half. Proceed
with the fight however you choose to. It breathes fire.

    First Appearance: Oni Island

    Blue Oni

Same as Red Oni, except they breathe ice.

    First Appearance: Oni Island

    Bull Charger

This is basically a stronger version of a Blue Oni. Fight it the same way.

    First Appearance: Kamui

    Dogu

Dogus are stone warriors. They are as fast as Blight when attacking, but they
are always vulnerable. They also have an advanced sword throw where swords
come at you several times. Watch for a purple glow around the Dogu similar to
the green glow Blight gets for his sword throw. Tons of Health, so you could
be in for a long battle.

First Appearance: Moon Cave Entrance (Through Spirit Gate)

    Tube Fox

These things are annoying! They throw foxfire at you quite a bit, so watch out
for that. The worst part, however, is that they can steal your ink! If you
see a trail of ink coming from you, follow it to the fox thatís responsible for
it and whack it to make it stop.

    First Appearance: Inside the Dragon

    Bosses [4000]

    Waka

    Difficulty: 1/5

This guy is the first boss, so what can you expect him to be other than easy.
Attack him however you prefer. If you keep your distance, wait until he throws
a sword, then Power Slash it to knock it back, which will stun him. You can
then attack him. If you attack him at close range, watch out for his sword
attacks. Continue until his health runs out.

    Attacks: Sword Combo, Sword Throw

    Location: Agata Forest

    Spider Queen

    Difficulty: 1/5

This oneís a pushover. Use Vine to hook two of the hooks on its thorax to
Konohana Blossoms. This will cause its thorax to open up like a blossoming
bud. Its weakness, the six eyes, will be revealed. Attack them, preferably
with Power Slash, as much as possible, then repeat until it falls. It
sometimes throws balls of demonic energy, trying to hit you. It will also spit
silk at you. Finally, if it spits silk at the ceiling, cut it down or it will
jump from the maximum height, which if I recall causes a shockwave.

Attacks: Demonic Energy Shot, Web, Shockwave

    Location: Tsuta Ruins

    Waka

    Difficulty: 2/5

You fight Waka again now. The only real difference is that he has more HP now
then before. Use the same basic methods as before.

    Attacks: Sword Combo, Sword Throw

    Location: Taka Pass

    Canine Warrior Tei

    Difficulty: 2/5

His attacks are easy to avoid, because he glows before he attacks. If he jumps
when he glows, heíll dash. If he howls, heíll use a 5 hit combo similar to the
Reflector combo that Amaterasu has. If he howls, then backs up a bit, heíll
use a more forceful 3 hit combo. Heís invincible when heís glowing or
attacking. Just pummel him with your strongest attacks. If you attack him
enough, heíll become fatigued and lose his color while heís recovering from
fatigue. Power Slash him then for major damage considering what you normally
do to him. Thatís basically all there is to tell.

    Attacks: Combo, Dash

    Location: Kusa Village

    Canine Warrior Gi

    Difficulty: 2/5

Heís the same as Tei, except he has two new attacks. He doesnít howl for these
new ones. Periodically heíll lay down a yellow bomb, or dig a hole. Donít
fall in those holes or heíll pee on you! Not good considering it empties your
ink supply. Anyway, fight him like you did Tei, but keep in mind those new
    attacks.

Attacks: Combo, Dash, Hole Dig, Bomb

    Location: Sasa Sanctuary

    Canine Warrior Jin

    Difficulty: 2/5

He fights the same as Gi, so refer to his strategy.

Attacks: Combo, Dash, Hole Dig, Bomb

    Location: Agata Forest

    Canine Warrior Chu

    Difficulty: 2/5

He fights the same as Gi, so refer to his strategy.

Attacks: Combo, Dash, Hole Dig, Bomb

    Location: Kamiki Village

    Crimson Helm

    Difficulty: 1/5

The Power Orbs come to protect you, and each hit you take destroys one.
Anyway, attack the armor until it comes off, then use your new wind power to
extinguish the flames. Attack it for a bit, and heíll put his armor back on
when he regains consciousness. Repeat this process.

Attacks: Sword Sweep, Stomp, Flame Trail, Flame Ring

    Location: Gale Shrine

    Orochi

    Difficulty: 2/5

Orochi can be difficult if youíre not prepared, and it can be a long battle.
First attack him. After the cut-scene that follows, the real battle begins.
His fire head breathes fire, his earth head slams the ground to create a
shockwave, his poison head breathes poison gas, his light head creates orbs
that shoot lasers, his lightning head spits orbs of lightning and then
strangely and suddenly loses track of your location, even if youĎre right in
front of it, his wind head conjures up a twister, his water head floods the
arena and then decides to take a bath, and his dark head spits dark buds. Keep
    all this in mind.

    Phase 1

First we need to get rid of that shield. Avoid his attacks, and when one of
his heads roars, use Waterspout to pour some sake into the gaping mouth. This
will daze it a bit. Repeat that process to get the head drunk. Do that for
two other heads and the eight heads will all fall, drunk. Climb one of the
heads to get to the main body, and attack the bell that is the source of the
barrier. When Orochi becomes sober again, the barrier around the bell comes
back if the bell isnít destroyed by then. Repeat as necessary.

    Phase 2

Jump off the structure that had the bell on it. Then select a head to start
with. Avoid its attacks, and when it roars, pour some sake into its mouth with
Waterspout, and it will fall to the ground drunk. Attack it and repeat as
necessary to kill the head. Repeat for the other 7 heads. After all 8 are
down, youíll have to help Susano cut off the heads using Power Slash. That
    will end the battle.

Attacks: Lunge, Fire Breath, Shockwave, Poison Gas, Laser Orb, Lightning Orb,
    Twister, Flood, Dark Bud

    Location: Moon Cave

Canine Warriors Chi, Ko, Rei, and Shin (Optional)

    Difficulty: 4/5

They all fight the same way Tei did at Kusa Village. The thing is, they're all
coming at you at once! Fight them all like you did Tei, but watch out for all
    incoming attacks.

    Attacks: Dash, Combo

    Location: Gale Shrine

Canine Warriors Gi, Jin, and Chu (Optional)

    Difficulty: 4/5

These guys again, but all at once! You fight them right after you defeat the
first four. Keep this in mind if you plan to challenge them. Fight them like
you fought them the first time, but watch out for all incoming attacks.

Attacks: Dash, Combo, Hold Dig, Bomb

    Location: Gale Shrine

    Canine Warrior Tei (Optional)

    Difficulty: 5/5

Ok, I'll warn you now. This dog obviously got on a sugar high. It's a very
fast-paced battle, so keep on your toes. You don't have as much time to react
to his attacks as you normally do, so prepare to do a lot of jumping around.
If you've fought Oki by the time you fight the Canine Warriors, you'll
recognize the aerial attack. Anyway, he doesn't like to leave himself open for
very long, it seems. He jumps around and attacks a lot. If you find yourself
having trouble against him, use Vengeance Slips (if you have any) to help you.
For those who don't know, Vengeance Slips damage the Enemy whenever they attack
you. Very useful here. Anyway, give it all you've got.

    Attacks: Dash, Combo, Aerial Rush

    Bandit Spider (Optional)

    Difficulty: 1/5

This fight is basically the same as the one with the Spider Queen. The only
difference is that you have to connect 3 hooks to Konohana Blossoms. Other
    than that, same fight.

Attacks: Demonic Energy Shot, Web, Shockwave

    Blight

    Difficulty: 3/5

This boss can be annoying if you donít know what youíre doing. When he shakes
or reaches for his sword, heís about to dash. If he reaches for his sword to
dash, you canít dodge it by running away, so double jump to avoid it. If he
shakes, he doesnít follow your location, so itís easier to dodge. If you want,
you can use mist when heís about to dash, since he lowers his defenses at that
time. After attacking his for a while in that manner, his sword will be sent
flying. Use that time to go after the sword, since itís more vulnerable to
attack than Blight, and the sword, Goldnail, is your true enemy anyway. You
can do it that way, or you can wait for his other attack. If you see a sudden,
more intense surge of green color rise around Blightís body, heís about to
conjure up a ring or swords to chase you. Look for the sword colored blue, and
Power Slash it (or just Power Slash them all in one fell swoop), and the blue
sword will lose its blue color and be sent flying. Itís Goldnail, and Blight
will then be stunned. Go after the sword then, as usual, and attack it. No
matter what, because of the sheer amount of HP Blight has, attacking with a
Glaive is recommended. Still, do what suits you. Just keep hammering away
until Blight runs out of HP.

    Attacks: Dash, Sword Throw

    Evil Rao

    Difficulty: 1/5

This boss is pretty easy. Sheís basically a remake of the Waka fights.
However, she conjures 5 swords for the sword throw, not just 1. Also, the
swords knocked back at her donít stun her. Finally, she has a down thrust
attack, and upon landing, she becomes stunned for a bit. Power Slash her then.
Thatís basically all there is to tell here.

Attacks: Sword Combo, Sword Throw, Down Thrust

    Location: Himikoís Palace

    Ninetails

    Difficulty: 4/5

To start off, I should warn you about something. Ninetails can use your brush
pad when you have it out for her own brush powers. The ones I have seen are
Cherry Bomb, Galestorm, and Blizzard. If anyone has seen her use any others,
please e-mail me explaining them. Galestorm is the strength of Shiranuiís
Galestorm, Cherry Bomb is the strength of your own Cherry Bomb, and her version
of Blizzard is something that seems to me to be her own design. Anyway, now
    for the strategy.

Take great care in dodging her attacks, especially her dash. It is very fast
and quite strong. If you get to close to her, she will do a stab combo with
her sword. Another attack she has is burrowing her tails into the ground and
having them emerge when theyíre under you. Keep running to avoid that one.
Iím not sure if Inferno does anything to her tails, but you can try it, since
thereís a lit furnace thing somewhere in the arena. Anyway, when a blood red
glow comes from her face, sheíll raise her sword into the air. The first time
it happens, the camera zooms in on it to indicate that itís important. Draw
lightning from the clouds above to her sword when itís raised, and it will zap
her. This will split her into 9 different entities, one for each tail. There
will be 4 entities running after you with swords, 3 floating around shooting
harmful purple energy at you, an old, crippled looking and acting one, and
Ninetailsí soul, which will be floating around. Go after the entities chasing
you with their swords, and whittle away at them one by one. If you can spare
the ink, like if you have the Golden Ink Pot or a good supply of Inkfinity
Stones, then use Power Slash on the entities to do some good damage. Every one
of the sword wielding entities you destroy will be replaced by one of the
floating entities other than Ninetails herself. Eventually, the remaining
entities will form together again, and youíll have to evade her attacks again.
You canít harm Ninetails herself yet, so donít try. Repeat the process of
dodging her attacks and zapping her when she raises her sword. When you
destroy all the entities, including the crippled one, Ninetails will lose her
invincibility and become just an overgrown brown fox. At this point, she will
be exhausted after she dashes, and she will sometimes lose her coloring. Power
Slash her then for decent damage. Attack her with your weapon when she isnít
attacking as well. Finally, when she raises her sword, zap it to damage her
quite a bit. Sheíll fall eventually.

Attacks: Sword Combo, Dash, Tail, Cherry Bomb, Galestorm, Blizzard

    Location: Oni Island

    Oki

    Difficulty: 2/5

Itís Evil Rao all over again, for the 1st Phase anyway. The second one is very
similar to Tei, but with stronger and more numerous attacks. His sword combo
also reaches farther. Anyway, strategy time.

    Phase 1

This part of the fight is very similar to the fight with Evil Rao. Attack
whenever you get the chance, and when he conjures up icicles, use Power Slash
on them to knock them back at him. If he gets stunned, use Power Slash. When
he runs out of health, he turns into his canine form, and the battle continues,
with him getting a new life bar.

    Attacks: Icicle Throw, Sword Combo

    Phase 2

This fight is very similar to the fight with Tei, but he has more attacks than
Tei did. He still has the dash and combo, but he also has an aerial slash
where he spins in the air and then zooms down at you. He can also conjure up a
load of icicles, which are all aimed at your location at the time he conjures
them. Easy to avoid. If he gets stunned, Power Slash him for massive damage.
This part of the fight shouldnít take too long.

Attacks: Icicle Barrage, Dash, Sword Combo, Aerial Rush

    Location: Kamui

    Nagi

    Difficulty: 1/5

He can use a sword combo, and throw swords in groups of 5. Both of those
attacks youíve seen before, and this should remind you of the 1st Phase of the
battle with Oki. Attack him whenever you get the chance, and as usual, if he
gets stunned, use Power Slash. This battle shouldnít last long.

    Attacks: Sword Combo, Sword Throw

Location: Kamiki Village (Through Spirit Gate)

    True Orochi

    Difficulty: 2/5

This fight is basically the same as the fight with Orochi. The only
differences are that his attacks are faster and he and the bell have more HP.
The larger amount of HP shouldnĎt make much of a difference since you have
stronger weapons. Fight him like you did the first time. Yes, you also have
to help Nagi to finish him off.

Attacks: Lunge, Fire Breath, Shockwave, Poison Gas, Laser Orb, Lightning Orb,
    Whirlwind, Flood, Dark Bud

Location: Moon Cave (Through Spirit Gate)

    Nechku

    Difficulty: 1/5

This boss is possibly the easiest in the game, and thatís because youíre not
alone. Shiranui teams up with you to take him out. If he shoots cannonballs
at you, use a Power Slash to knock them back. Shiranui will probably use some
kind of brush technique as well, and boy are they powerful! Anyway, Iím not
sure, but I think he can also throw a bud or a bomb at you. If anyone has had
it happen here, please e-mail me with a confirmation. He may also try to grab
you in his talons. It shouldnít take too long to defeat him.

Attacks: Cannonball Barrage, Bud Throw (unconfirmed), Bomb Throw (unconfirmed)

    Location: Wawku Shrine

    Lechku and Nechku

    Difficulty: 3/5

This fight is decently harder because itís 2 against 2, and your partner this
time is Oki. Anyway, When Lechku shoots cannonballs at you, Power Slash them
back. When he makes a bud appear, Bloom it for some health. When he makes a
bomb appear, draw fire from a torch or the Solar Flare to the bomb to make it
explode in his face. When Nechku raises a sword, draw lightning from a cloud
or the Thunder Edge to zap him. When he makes an egg thing, Power Slash it to
make it break and splatter in his face. When he stops timeÖWell thereís not
much you can do there. If you thwart an attack soon enough, it will daze the
corresponding demon. Do that twice to stun them, and Oki will get on a bow
like an arrow. The first time, he tells you to pull him back and fire him at
the demon. Hold the Triangle button for a little while to pull the string
back, then fire Oki at the demon by releasing the button. Oki will be flung
onto the demon, and you can then Power Slash them to knock them out of the sky.
Use that time to attack the demon. Lightning also knocks them to the ground,
and it seems to do it for a longer time. I havenít confirmed this, however, so
if anyone has found out about this, please e-mail me to let me know. Both of
them will sometimes try to grab you in their talons. Anyway, repeat the
process of stunning, grounding, and attacking until the HP bar of both demons
are gone, and the battle will end.

Attacks: Cannonball Barrage, Bud Throw, Bomb Throw, Time Freeze, Egg Throw

    Location: Wawku Shrine

    Ninetails

You have to fight her again inside the Ark of Yamato. Same strategy, only
easier since you have better stuff. Donít hold back. Take her out and move on.

    Crimson Helm

    Difficulty: 1/5

You have to fight it again inside the Ark of Yamato. Same strategy, but you
donít have the power orbs. Still, you have better stuff, so itís very easy.
Donít hold back. Take it out and move on.

    Location: Ark of Yamato

    Spider Queen

    Difficulty: 1/5

You have to fight it again inside the Ark of Yamato. Same strategy, but you
have to hook 3 hooks to Konohana Blossoms instead of just 2. Still, you have
better stuff, so itís very easy. Donít hold back. Take it out and move on.

    True Orochi

    Difficulty: 3/5

You have to fight him again inside the Ark of Yamato. Itís about the same
difficulty as it was when you fought him in the past, since you donít have many
new weapons since you fought him then. Still, he shouldnít give you too much
of a problem. Donít hold back. Take him out and move on.

    Yami

    Difficulty: 5/5

Here he is, the Dark Lord himself. A force to be reckoned with. Great, you
start out without a weapon or your brush techniques. Thatís all we need. Oh
    well. Time to get serious!

    Phase 1

Attack him whenever you get the chance. When he brings out a hammer, he will
pound the arena. 2 strikes to certain parts of the arena take them out. He
will also jump sometimes, and if he lands forcefully enough, it will be the
same as the section of the arena being hit with the hammer. Anyway, after you
attack him enough, he will be forced to give up Rejuvenation, which you can use
to fill in the sections of the arena that are taken out by Yami. You also get
your weapon back. Attack him a bit more to make him give up Power Slash. He
will then be stunned. Power Slash him, then attack him until he gives up
Bloom. He will then be stunned again. Use Bloom to open his shell and expose
the core. Attack the core until the shell closes up, and then continue the
process until he runs out of HP. He will then transform.

    Attacks: Hammer, Stomp

    Phase 2

Again, attack him whenever you get the chance. Try not to get hit by him when
heís covered with fire. Attack him for a bit and you will eventually get
Cherry Bomb. He will then be stunned. Bomb him to split him into sections.
Climb the sections until you reach the core, and then attack it as much as you
can. He will come back together at some point. Anyway, continue attacking him
until you get Waterspout. He will then set himself on fire. Put his flame out
to stun him, then Cherry Bomb him. He will split apart again. Reach the core,
then attack it until he puts himself back together. Continue attacking him
until you get back Crescent. Then he will be stunned. Use Crescent on him to
slice him down the middle, exposing the core. Attack it until he puts himself
back together, then repeat the process until he runs out of HP. He then
    transforms again.

Attacks: Flame Rush, Smash, Flame Swoop

    Phase 3

When the slot machine starts up, Power Slash the slots to stop them. Each icon
has a nasty effect. Each one except the ink bottle and the one that looks like
Yamiís core. You want the latter. Get 3 Yami icons to get a power back.
First itís Galestorm, then Inferno, then Veil of Mist. After you get those
three back, getting 3 Yami cores will make the machine spit the core out.
Attack it, and when it goes back in, repeat. You can also go for the icon that
looks kind of like a face, which will make the machine spit cannonballs. Power
Slash them to knock them back, and they will inflict damage upon contact. You
can do the same to lightning Orbs. When he runs out of HP, he transforms again.

Attacks: Cannonball Barrage, Fireball Barrage, Ice Barrage, Lightning Orb

    Phase 4

This form is some kind of mech. Anyway, for the most part, avoid its attacks,
which include sweeping its appendages across the arena, firing missiles at you,
using some kind of exhaust (Gross! Youíll see what I mean), using a laser, and
shooting a trail of fire at you. Power Slash the core whenever you see it,
and it will eventually give up Catwalk. You donít need it, but there is
treasure to be gotten if you can scale the pillars at the arenas edges.
Continue Power Slashing the core whenever you see it, and youíll get
Thunderstorm back next. It will then raise its appendages, which will become
shaped like Ninetailsí sword. Zap it and the core will come out of the exhaust
hatch (Gross!). Attack it until it goes back in, then if youíre lucky youíll
have attacked it enough to get back Blizzard. If not, oh well. Anyway, keep
attacking it when it is vulnerable, and when it runs out of HP, the battle will
    endÖFor now.

Attacks: Sweep, Missile Barrage, Exhaust, Laser, Fireball, Wide Laser, Vertical
    Laser, Flame Trail

    Phase 5

For the final phase of the final battle, it isnít very hard, as long as you
know what youíre doing. First, use Sunrise to make Yami drop its core. Attack
it then, and when the hand grabs the core, you can attack it, but only at your
own risk. At this point, it will be randomly using attacks like hitting you
with a shower of Meteors and a Laser Sweep attack. He can also get rid of the
light caused by Sunrise. That will also drain you of all your ink. When you
recover your ink, Use Sunrise again, and attack the core when it comes out.
Yami will sometimes be stunned and lose his color, which is the indicator for
Power Slash. When he raises his hand and the core charges energy for a Laser
Sweep, Power Slash the core to interrupt it and make the hand fall over, dazed,
with the core still inside it. Attack the core then. Use it to inflict decent
damage on Yami. This battle is easy to get involved in, and will be over
    surprisingly quickly.

Attacks: Meteor Shower, Laser Sweep, Overwhelming Darkness
