"Without doubt the GREATEST GAME of ALL time !!!"
Hands down, this game is truly the best in the series - in fact THE greatest game ever made.
With such great innovation and evolution to the stealth genre, Metal Gear Solid 4 brings its own perceptions of personal choice and executions, along with the climactic end of one of the greatest video game sagas to be ever created. Everything from the godly graphics to the epicness of the gameplay to the beauty of the cinematics, this game has it all, and even more. Hideo Kojima proves that he is indeed a god himself, by setting the new bar to an impossible high point.
Hands down, these are the GODLIEST graphics I have ever seen. The visuals are absolutely stunning to look at, and the art direction is incredible to note. Looking at this game is like looking at a painting. Each scene has its own beauty, and you'll want to pause every so often just to marvel at its extravagant detail.. This attention to detail is incredibly meticulous. From each wrinkle on snake's skin, or even the individual hairs on Snake's moustache, it is just incredible to note the technical marvel and achievements of this game. The colour in this game is incredibly vibrant as well, bringing to life each individual scene and tone of the overall setting. The framerate is a technical achievement upon itself: It is as smooth as butter without any noticeable drops. This is worth noting especially considering that there is TONS and TONS of action on screen. A mix of incredulous action, smooth of butter framerate, and damn godly visuals makes for one happy gamer.
The gameplay is a huge evolution from the series, especially when you factor in the new and godly controls scheme and the amount of action. One thing, you can finally move while you aim and shoot now! Not to mention, controlling the camera is as easy as ever, and the over the shoulder camera transitions itself ever so seamlessly. This game, without a doubt, has the BEST camera for any third person game with the accurate and split-second integration upon the aiming reticule at the touch of a button.
One of the most noted features is the new Drebin system. You can take weapons from enemies now, but you can't use them right away. This is where Drebin, the gun launderer comes in. He will allow you to use the weapon and customise it any way you like. The customisation is incredibly deep, and there are about 77 total weapons in this game, thus bringing tons and tons of creativity and replayability on your part.
Also, Metal Gear Solid fans need not fret, even with the change in gameplay mechanics Metal Gear Solid 4 is still Metal Gear, and with the huge surprises later on, it will definitely satisfy ALL of you. The game brings back plenty of nostalgic moments within the gameplay. Although I won't ruin the many, many surprises in store for you, I guarantee that you will like what you see if you're a fan of any of the games in the series.
You begin as Solid Snake in the Middle East, hunting down your despised foe: Liquid Ocelot. As the hunt ensues, you'll meet up with old friends and reveal new secrets that kept you mind boggling in the past series. I don't want to spoil anything for you here, to ensure that each breathtaking moment will come as a surprise for you. Believe me, there are plenty in store that will leave your jaw on the floor.
Godly upon Godly. The sound is simply AMAZING. Guns sound like real live guns. Sound effects are really nice, with explosions and tanks bringing you closer and closer to the battlefield. The voice acting is incredibly well done here with the return of the old crew from the past Metal Gear Solid games. I'm slightly disappointed that Cam Clarke isn't in this game, but Pat Zimmerman sure does a great job though. The music is also something to note: It is godlike and perfectly executed.
Listen to your Overlord and BUY THIS GAME! Need I say more?
