"The epic saga ends in an epic way"
That's right another Metal Gear Solid, and yet again the series lives up to each and every bit of hype behind it.
With the right amount of features in this game you have full control over Snake. The "OctoCamo" system makes having to change camo no longer a chore. Simply get close to any object and Snake will blend in with any type of surface and watch as your enemies walk right past. The Solid Eye System is yet another great feature implemented in the game giving you the ability to switch from night vision to a built-in binocular you can use to zoom in on anything in the battlefield. With the Soild Eye you can tell who your true enemy is on the battlefield and will even know how much health your target has. Then there is Drebin whom if you have enough points you can purchase new weapons from and much much more.
I know your thinking what does music have to do in this game. Well you have none other than the great Henry Gregson-Williams behind the illustrious in-game music. As well as an iPod Snake can use during the game to add some music to each level. It really brings back the memories of your former missions due to the fact that this game includes tracks from each the the previous MGS games. Even the familiar voice overs you know and love return.
The controls in this game are very very simple. L2 and R2 are used the same way you remember from previous MGS games. R2 for weapons and L2 for your items. L1 readies your weapon while R1 is to fire. A new pause menu allows you to switch what items/weapons you carry with you and you can even pull up Drebin and buy weapons from him here as well.
The online mode is one of the best features about this game. You have the ability to go online against your friends and level up your skills like CQC and how well you use other weapons. There are numerous match settings and other things to keep oneself occupied.
This is what makes MGS4 the best Metal Gear Solid game of all-time. It feels like you are playing a movie. The cutscenes will take your breath away and even while you are playing you will be amazed on how much detail Konami put into this game. One of the most photo realistic games you will ever play by far.
Overall this game is a definite 10. Once you get your fun out of the single player mode the online will keep you busy for hours on end. This is truly Hideo Kojima's masterpiece and I am certain without a doubt you will be glad once you purchased this amazing game.
