my ps3 is broken and i toke the hard drive out if i put the HDD in another ps3 my users well be there ?

    i have a 300 GB HDD wen i toke out the old one and put the 300 GB one i restore the data thene wen i put the old one all the user and the data was there so all my data is in the HDD so i well buy a new one if i put my HDD my user well be there

  1. No, all data is lost when you take out a hard drive, even if you put the old one back in. The PS3 reformats the hard drive so if you do anything with one, you should back up all your data.

  2. Thats because the users were not saved on the hard drive they were saved on the ps3 itself
