Which model has backwards compatibility?

I want to use ps2 games on my ps3. Which models are compatible with ps2 software and hardware?

Since I don't want to just regurgitate info, here's a very readable SKU chart from Wikipedia.

Hardware / Emotion Engine is preferred since that means that the PS3 unit has PS2 hardware inside it for 100% B/C.
Software gives you access to most PS2 games, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will run perfectly. If that makes any sense.

STATUS

The 60 and 20 gigabyte models support it. The OLD 80GB model has limited backwards compatibility.

BTW, no model currently on the market supports backwards compatibility.
