         Hello Everyone! I'm Das_Shnyker, and this is my first FAQ so bear with
    me. 
         This guide is for Mercenaries 2: World In Flames for the Xbox 360. I plan
    on covering quite a bit so thanks for scrolling down that huge table of 
    Contents. Well, let's get started then!
    ANYONE NEEDING HELP WITH ANY MISSIONS CAN FRIEND REQUEST AND INVITE ME

         These are the contols for the Xbox 360 version, I'll add the others if I 
    can find them.
    
    Left Stick: Move
    Left Stick Button: Sprint
    Right Stick: Aim

    0.0.3  General Strategy
    
    Okay, these are basic tips for staying alive out there, but everyone's
    playstyle
    is different and these aren't the only ways to survive.
    
    1. Stay in a Vehicle, even a junker has more armor than you do, hiding 
    behind vehicles also works but be careful of them exploding.
    2. Carry explosive A ALL TIMES, if you are stuck between a tank and a 
    wall, c4 or and RPG can make either or both go away.
    3. Kill the Gunner! Tis is huge, when taking down a tank or even a jeep, 
    kill the soldier on the .50 cal. Those guns can eat through your health
    like a pirahna to your cow.
    4. Use your rescources, calling in an air strike or tank can turn a battle
    from a hiding game to an owning game. Remember, what you dont have can be
    stolen.
    5. Be clever, make things near targets explode, shoot an un-uneeded fuel tank 
    or airstrike to take out soldiers, vehicles, and buildings.

    0.1.1  Rescue Carmona
    
    Summary:
         Here's the first mission, basically its the first half of the tutorial
    pretty simple, follow Fiona's Dirctions to save the General, you're practically
    led through this.
    
    In-Depth:
         Alright, take that boat through the rocks, go slow if you need to. 
    Land on the beach and get out. A helicopter will bring you a box, 
    break it and grab the grenade launcher. Soldiers then run down the hill
    at you. They have yellow targets on their heads, just blow them to bits
    and follow the road. Alright, open your PDA when Fiona asks and then close it.
    press up on the D-Pad and press a To select the Satellite bomb. Move the camera
    over the gray box with a yellow target symbol and press A. Minigame time!!No
    really just press A as the radar asks you and then run back to safety.
    Now run trhough killing soldiers as you see them, blow up the gun turret and 
    continue on to the huts.	
         Kill the three soldiers and wait for your jeep. Hop in and follow the dirt
    road, no need to stop and engage the enemy just go fast and make it to the
    waypoint. Hop out at the corcer and call in another bomb on this gate too. Now
    a tank (woohoo!) will be airlifted to you, hop in and let loose. Follow the
    road, using your main cannon or switch (right bumper) to you machine gun. 
    The small village holds no threats, just plow downward through the buildings, 
    stop at the river, shell the trucks and soldiers if you want, but don't destroy
    the building. Get out of the tank and run up to Carmona to end the mission.

    0.1.2  Moving In
    
    Summary: 
         Follow the road, get to the base, kill the special soldiers, take the tank
    kill more soldiers.
    
    In-Depth:
         Okay, you start in a junkyard, grap a vehicle from hear or the street. I 
    prefer the Chopper (as in motorcycle) from the junkyard. Now hears a trick: 
    Open your PDA and hit X when the objective triangle is highlighted and the game
    will select the fastest route there via the road system. This can be ignored of
    course because sometimes its not the BEST path to the objective. Now follow the
    roads in any way to the villa, killing the soldiers as you go. drive in through
    the entrance and maybe run down some poor soldiers. Now you should be told to
    eliminate the special troops Solano left behind, they have white pants and 
    jackets on, some have machine pistols and some have shotguns. Go around killing
    them and collecting the money stockpiles near some.
          When they are all dead go the the front of the house where the door is
    open, a tank will burst through the wall on your left. Hijack it, first killing
    the gunner if he is there, then walk up to the cannon and press Y, when
    prompted press B, and then mash A to take the grenade and the tank. now you
    just have to kill the soldiers inside, this completes the mission.

    0.2.1  Universal Petroleum
    
    Reward:0
    And Bonus: .5K for each gun, one gun recquired to complete.
    
    Summary:
         Grab the truck, and drive carefully to the destination. 
    
    In-Depth:
         Finally work that pays! Grab Fiona's Car or run to the road for one 
    (blowing up her racing Inferno will cost you 10k) and set up a PDA path to the
    truck. Hear you can either grab the guns and run or clear the area. Clearing it
    up is easy but the truck might be hit in the fight. Now set up a PDA path to
    the UP Headquarters and drive. the machine guns shouldn't cause you too much
    trouble but don't take too many hits. On the way into the city some trucks will
    pull out in front of you trying to crash you, just brake slowly and go around.
         The black pickups with gunners are on your side, but be careful, they have
    trouble dodging other cars. Drive through the city streets, its somewhat safer
    here but you aren't clear until you pull into the ringof yellow representing
    the drop zone. Hop out and collect your money.

    0.2.2  The Devestator
    
    Reward: 25k
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         Go get the Devestator, drive it to the drop zone. Simple.
    
    In-Depth: 
         This mission is Insultingly easy, but its also insulting. Get it from the
    talking security camera outside the gate. Then go they miniscule distance to
    the 'satellite facility'a.k.a. the hot zone between VZ and UP. Here talk to the
    marked UP soldier and the grab a ride in the big black tank known as- nah I'm 
    kidding you its actually the small pink scooter behing the fence behind the 
    tank. Drive it to the same drop zone you had last time and get out.Easy money,
    sad way to earn it though.

    0.2.3  Phone Tag
    
    Reward: 500k and 250FUEL
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         Place the listening posts after killing the enemies, then rescue the
    hostage from the designated armored car. Be fast and efficient.
    
    In-Depth:
         Your first long mission, giving out half a million dollars and some fuel.
    Lets start with the Northwest listening post position. Its off the road but not
    too far. Its by he docks and if you hop on the crocodile gunboat just sitting 
    there you can use the rockets (the gunner seat for the rockets is the door
    under the stairs) you can open an exit and blow up the concrte building with 
    windows that shoots rockets at you when the alarm is activated. Alternatively
    hijack the tank thats there and do the same. Now use the support menu to call
    down a listening post within the ring. 
         Next there is the Southwest post placement, its within a small VZ base,
    but no major threats lurk within. Just kill the soldiers and try to keep them
    away from the alarm tower in the back (its a small radio tower with a button
    underneath, you can also blow it up). Call in the post and run away, or wait
    for it to land if you didn't clear the entire area.
         Now the far away Northeast location, I grabbed a motorcycle, waited for my
    disguise to activate, and snuck in the front door. Now drive up the ramps
    inside the parking garage to the top, blow up the AA gun on the adjacent
    parking garage with and rpg or grenades or shoot the gunner and his friend. Now
    call for the final post and skedaddle. By this time the deadline should
    activate and the time is ticking away. The kidnappers' van should show up on
    the map, drive up to it and attempt to hijack it from the back, the button
    sequence is X then A.
         Now drive the hostage to the UP HQ and hop out of the van. Now Ewan will
    land his helicopter, get in a passenger seat and select the PMC from the map.
    Congrats you just got a Copter Pilot.
    
    Notes:Throughout the mission you have some free support courtesy of UP, use
    these as you see fit.

    0.2.4  Altagracia Outpost
    
    Reward: 300k, Up Tank Attack(shop), Raven(shop), c4 supply drop(shop), PMC fuel
    storage upgrade (shop)
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         Another first, the first Outpost mission. Get the job from the UP depot
    west of the HQ drive to the VZ outpost, call in troops, ta-da!
    
    In-Depth:
         Ok, so its a good idea to grab a raven from nearby and fill it with UP
    troops. Drive it to the VZ base and hop out so the UP mercs will assist you in
    the rampage. To capture the outpost merely call in the UP reinforcements from
    your support menu (dont worry they're free) and let them enter the outpost
    building. DO NOT DESTROY THE OUTPOST BUILDING! If you do its mission over.
    VZ occasionally try to re-occupy the building but its shouldn't cause much
    disruption.
         Capturing this outpost will allow you to access the shop, helipad, and
    contact here. Every faction has outposts to capture, always from the VZ and
    they are all based on the same formula. These outposts in turn offer some new
    missions but never ones major to the story. Some do involve going against other
    factions and making them angry. Therefore, I suggest doing all of the work for
    one faction before moving to the next.
    
    Notes: If you want to take rescources from here, do it before the UP own it so
    you don't make them angry.

    0.2.5  Maracaibo Airport Outpost
    
    Rewards: 300k, Mantis Light Tank(shop), Up Ground Attack(shop), PMC Fuel
    Storage Upgrade(shop)
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         This outpost is tougher to take down, it has two lines of defense and only
    one true entrance. Otherwise its the same, some more fuel and airstrikes to
    steal if you want (trust me you do).
    
    In-Depth:
          Okay, you get this mission from Altagracia Outpost, so grab a raven from
    there and more comrades. Now drive to the airport outpost, its in the eastern
    hills outside Maracaibo. Fight your way inside the second wall, theres an alarm
    station in the back and two RPG buildings that will activate if the alarm gets
    turned on.
         The rescources here are happily placed next the the RPG bunkers just 
    waiting for you to blow them up and send concrete flying. Or perhaps you 
    actually want them, if so, call Ewan, but you shouldn't be able to reatin all
    the fuel as of yet so let loose on that. When you finish call in he strike team
    to take the place and extend UP's oil empire.

    0.2.6  Cabimas Outpost
    Reward: 300k, UP Air Attack(shop), PMC Fuel Storage Upgrade(shop)
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         Third and final UP outpost, possibly the hardest. Take outt AA and call in
    strike team.
    
    In-Depth:
         The last of UP's outpost capture missions is definently the hardest. Once
    you get inside there is a fortified RPG building that takes two blocks of c4 
    to demolish/ A second building with soldiers in it is near the back, but it is
    weaker and has a nifty fuel tank waiting to be used. A tank goes around the 
    outside of the base, but shouldn't cause trouble, in fact it makes everything
    easier. Take out the AA gun in the back to make it safe for Ewan to collect
    rescoures. When you've done what you want call in the strike team, but be sure
    no VZ are left or they could sneakily kill the UP soldiers.
    
    Notes: This being the last outpost you can either take the next mission I list
    or do all of the outpost missions first.

    0.2.7  Leave No Trace
    
    Rewards: 995k
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         This mission is long, but no singular part is terribly difficlt, just
    don't do anything stupid with the executive and it'll be all right. Find
    him, take him to warehouse 1, then warehouse 2, then UP HQ
    
    In-Depth:
         Okay, this is a story mission, so it pays big, nearly one million. Its 
    a conglamoration of escorting, defending, and running like hell. First drive
    to the Refinery near Cabimas Outpost and kill the VZ there. Talk to the exec.
    inside and grab a vehicle. If you don't get to the next warehouse in time then
    the VZ will start to destroy it and thats no good. Once you get there lead
    the exec. into the ringand then go up the ramp behind the warehouse to the 
    ship. Here you will find a recoilless rifle and a Heavy MG at the north end
    and just a recoilless at the south. Enemies come from the north, blow them up
    with the Rec. Rifle. Then run to the south end and do the same. Then BACK to
    the north to defeat the last wave, soldiers will try to use the pipe next to
    you so shoot it a few times with the Rec. Rifle to take that away from them.
    Now run down and grab the exec., and a car, and get to warehouse 2. 
         Again ring of light, then ramp, this time to a tower. Up here are multiple
    Grenade MGs, put them to good use. Enemies come down the north first, then
    east AND west next. Next those clever Venezualans Come from everywhere, but
    they should be no problem. You'll hear about a surprise on top of the tower
    so climb up there to find an anti-air rocket launcher. Guess what? You need
    it. Its easy to take down the VZ copters, just lock on and fire. When the exec.
    is done playing pyromaniac pick him up, get in a car, and go to UP HQ.
         The drive back should be mostly unevenful, but still be careful, that
    executive isn't nearly as tough as you, being NEAR an explosion can kill him.
    
    Notes:This mission can be frustrating if th executive gets himself killed or
    acts stupidly, but there are multiple checkpoints so don't Worry.

    0.2.8  Into The Green Zone (Levels 1,2, and 3)
    
    Rewards: 300k
    -Level 1: Light MG Drop (shop)
    -Level 2: CQB Kit (shop)
    -Level 3: Combat Rogue (shop)
    Bonus: Varies for Level And Speed.
    
    Summary:
         Missions from Maracaibo Airport Outpost. Pick up the executive at the
    airport, take him to one of three UP basesand the faster the more money.
    The higher the level, the more resistance, and the longer the driving distance.
    (do not know about bonus or time, can someone confirm please?)
    
    In-Depth:
         Level 1: this is easy, pick up the guy and take him to UP HQ, almost no
    VZ in the way and none with explosives.
         Level 2: Not so eas, grab the guy, and take him to UP Depot, tanks start
    appearing and there is a medium amount of VZ in the way.
         Level 3: Get a copter, really, just do it. You take them to Altagracia
    Outpost and there are so many tanks in the way doing this with a car is insane
    and takes alot of skill and speed. However, in the copter, careful for AA and 
    RPGs.
    
    Notes: Besides Level 3 these shouldn't prove too difficult. Great fun though.

    0.2.9  Built For Speed (Levels 1,2, and 3)
    
    Reward: 300k
    -Level 1: Archer Guntruck (shop)
    -Level 2: Warhorse Patrol Boat (shop)
    -Level 3: Rogue Assasin (shop)
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         Drive The Volce Sports Car through the checkpoints (which add time)
    and make it to the final destination in-tact
    
    In-Depth:
         Level 1: Easy, if you can drive, be careful, use X for brakes to avoid
    walls and Left Trigger for tight turns. The timer is forgiving
         Level 2: See above but be careful, you have to go faster and less 
    mistakes are allowed.
         Level 3: See Above, but this time you must be near perfect, the timer is
    not going to allow stalls or snags in your driving.
    
    Notes: I found these easy and fun, the Veloce is a great car with impeccable
    turning and speed. But its fragile and breaks like a twig.

    0.2.10  UP Standing Bounties
    
    Rewards: 5k each
    -3 Kills: Raven GL (x1)
    -10 Kills: Archer Gntruck (x1)
    -25 Kills: Rogue Assassin (x1)
    -50 Kills: Raven GL (shop)
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         You get 5k for each PLAV soldier you kill and unlockables or supplies at
    increments until 50
    
    In-Depth:
         This is easy and fun, you get paid for each PLAV soldier dead and unlock
    stuff! You'll being killing enough of these guys doing UP HVT missions, so
    don't worry about needing to hunt.
    
    Notes: This marks PLAV as UP's rival faction, kill them to make UP happy.

    0.2.11  UP HVT
    
    Rewards:

    -7 HVT: Alive: 700k Dead: 350k

    Summary:
         Ten HVTs, or High Value Targets, floating around Venezuela for you to 
    pick off one by one. To take them alive simply run up and melee them, then 
    press Y to subdue. Then call in extraction from the desired faction (its 
    automatically added to your support menu) and load the HVT (carry with Y). 
    This is tricky sometimes because his own faction might shoot him in the 
    crossfire or shoot down the helicopter. I like to hide the HVT in a corner and
    clear the area before calling a copter. Take all 55 HVTs in the game alive and
    you get a different ending.
    
    In-Depth:
         Okay, theres ten, but some are VZ and some are PLAV, dont worry though,
    just kill anyone but the HVT, this helps with the UP Standing Bounties. Some
    HVTs are out of the way, or off the current map, its best to do just the first
    PLAV missionn to unlock more map. These are the easiest HVTs in the game and 
    are a good introduction. Kill them if you want, but its worth it to keep them
    alive.

    0.2.12  UP Targets
    
    Reward: 100k Each

    -5 Targets: Rogue Transport (shop)
    -8 Targets: Grenade Launcher Drop (shop)
    -13 Targets: Luxury Car (shop)
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         These are just plain fun, find the building it blow it up. If you went 
    ahead and got the mechanic and jet pilot you may use airstrikes, c4 (and lots
    of it) will also work, maybe some RPGs to. Blow them up, get paid.
    
    In-Depth:
         These are all VZ, these are also scattered randomly.

    0.3.1  Intoduction to the People's Liberation Army of Venezuala
    
    Rewards: 0k, PLAV Supply Drop (shop), Corales Scout (shop)
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         Welcome to the game's rebel faction! Just select this topic from Fiona at
    the PMC and the faction is added to your list.
    
    In-Depth:
         This unlocks the PLAV area of the map and the mission Orinoco River
    outpost. Get the mission from the Southeastern Amazon Outpost.

    0.3.2  Orinoco River Outpost
    
    Rewards: 300k, Martinez APC (shop), Supply Weapons Drop (shop), Artillery
    Strike (shop), PMC Fuel Storage Upgrade (shop)
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         Simple Outpost Mission, nothing special here.
    
    In-Depth:
         The base you're invading has one RPG building, an alarm tower, a few 
    rescources, and snipers. Take out the sniper on the water tower and climg up
    to take his weapon and finish off the others, or just blow everything up.
    
    Bonus Strategy: 
         Call in the PLAV when the base is clear and kill them for money, no one
    will be able to report you, so they stay friendly and you get rewards.
    
    Notes: This unlocks the Artillery Strike, a cheap and effective airstrike that
    yiu don't need a jet pilot fr. Low fuel cost and perfect anti building fare.
    For more fun, attach the beacon to your hopefully speedy vehicle and quickly
    drive up to your target, useful for quick, immediate destruction, but be
    careful you don't start from too far away.

    0.3.3  Eastern Merida Outpost
    
    Rewards: 300k, Cavalera Light Tank (shop), Chinese Sniper Kit (ahop), PMC Fuel
    Storage Upgradde (shop)
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         Another Day, Another Outpost Mission, get it from Orinoco R. Outpost.
    
    In-Depth:
         Starting to tire of these outpost missions? Yeah well this one has a
    twist, its incredibly easy. Break through the wall outside with an explosive
    then kill the limited VZ standing around and call in the commandos. Simple 
    right? Oh but watch the tank.
    
    Notes: Unlocks the Cavalera Light Tank, which is good, fast (for a tank)
    and cheap. I Like to buy about three at a time and use them for any mission,
    one of the best Gorilla shop items.

    0.3.4  Southwestern Amazon Outpost
    
    Rewards: 300k, Castro-V Attack Chopper (shop) PMC Fuel Stroage Upgrade (shop)
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         Simple outpost, great reward. Watch the RPG building though, it can sneak
    up on you and ruin your plans.
    
    In-Depth:
         Last oupost for the PLAV, very simple but be careful of both the RPG
    building and the one you are supposed to capture. Its easy to accidentally blow
    up, and then you have to restart the mission.
    
    Notes: Castro-V Attack Chopper, it has door guns, so grab allies that will use
    them! This is the best helicopter in the game as of yet, so put them to good
    use in the following missions.

    0.3.5  Corporate Headhunting
    
    Rewards: 300k, Castro Attack Copter (shop)
    Bonus: 0k
    
    Summary:
         Assassinate Four non-HVT targets, all UP executives.
    
    In-Depth:
         Our first actual mission against another faction has us killing off Oil
    Executives. Simple if you don't mind the UP Hating you. Two targets are just
    north of the Orinoco River Outpost, its easiest to use a copter to kill them
    and then get away fast. Another is near the UP Depot up in Maracaibo, and the
    last target is near the Maracaibo Airport. If you have the copter still this 
    should be easy, otherwise hijack the tank at the depot and the get a motorcycle
    to get to the airport fast, and then out fast. The airport can be incredibly 
    difficult to get out of on foot, so speed is of the essence. (whatever that 
    means)
    
    Notes: If you went and got the mechanic already thats great, it will make this
    mission easier to do on foot if you have the grappling hook.

    0.3.6  Paint the Town
    
    Rewards: 750k
    Bonus: 500k for no civillians killed
    
    Summary:
         Go to town, and then blow up some of it. Three buildings marked with
    yellow targets, take these out and defend the church until Mendez is located,
    kill or capture Mendez, done.
    
    In-Depth:
         Get this mission from PLAV HQ, then get to Merida. Three buildings are
    marked with yellow, not gray (those are facion targets), yellow. Blow these
    up. Now you must guard the church Fiona mentioned earlier. This is tricky, and
    you can go about it plenty of ways. I list three.
         1: Simply grab an RPG and use this and your c4 to deal with tanks,
    grenades and a firearm for the trucks and jeeps, not to mention any infantry
    they carry. This method is easiest with Chris Jacobs because you can take down
    more before finding an ammo drop. The others can handle it, but its more
    frenzied.
         2: Hijack tanks like crazy, kill the gunners (I find a close range sniper
    bullet or shotgun blast is best) and then hijack. You can either immediatly hop
    out and go for another moving steel shoot-em-blow-em-up-contraption or use the
    one you now have to kill them the good ol' fashiponed way. Careful not to
    develop a disguise or the PLAV will shoot you.
         3: Use the artillery GUN (not strike, gun) at the east end of the church
    to kill tanks, untiil you have to defend the other side, run out of ammo, or
    get blown to bits. After which switch  to the first or second strategy.

    Summary:
         Blow up the statues, and in one stage cars. Grenade launcher has six shots
    so reload between stages.
    
    In-Depth:
         Stage one has three statues, simply aim and fire, maybe practice your aim
    at level 1 before advancing. Stage two has three cars, peg the barrel in the
    center and make sure it catches fire, it'll explode in a few seconds and take
    out the cars. Next there are three statues oon a roof, easy shots because of
    extra surfaces to hit and rebound splash damage. Fourth stage is lots of
    statues on pillars, just aim at the middle of bunches, might take a reload,
    but not more than one. Last stage is statues hidden behind metal barriers,
    aim next to them and put a grenade on the ground, last bit and easy with good
    aim.
    
    Notes: My only advice for advanced levels is: go faster.

         Ewan is automatically recruited, simple as that.

    Summary:
         Use the winch to grab containers, tank shells, etc., to build a tower
    within the yellow ring and then grab the toolbox and raise that to the top,
    its easy yeah?
    
    In-Depth:
         Level 1: Raise it to five meters, or two shipping containers.
         Level 2: Raise it to six meters, or three shipping containers.
         Level 3: Raise it to seven meters or one tank shell and two shipping
    containers.
