Can 2 players play in a split screen mode in burnout paradise?

I want to know if 2 players can play together in burnout paradise, like race in a split screen mode or have a drag race? i have been trying to find out in the game but could not figure out how.

Nope sorry.

I know it's not quite the same but next week the Party Pack DLC comes out for the game. This allows for some controller swapping multi-player games on the same screen =/
