Question from ProfEmit
Where can I find (an execessive amount of Nuka Cola Quantum)?
I'm trying to complete the Nuka Cola Challenge, but..
because of my ignorance of said quest, I drank most of the Quantum I had collected, which probably would have exceeded the required amount.
I was wondering if you guys know of any locations that contained lots of Quantum in a single general area?

All of the above answers are correct but remember this: The only important things that have anything to do with this quest are the schematic and the gun of Roland. And although you need 3 schematics to get best result, there are about 7 total to obtain. So you really lose nothing by simply killing them both and claiming The Kneecapper, Ronald's overpowered sawed-off shotgun. And if you want money bring Ronald the Sexy Sleepwear and get him to buy it for 200-300 caps, a little less than what the quantum drinks would have earned you, then take it back with force and get it and The Kneecapper. On top of that, there is a limited number of quantum drinks in the game to gain, about 71 total. So do not worry about it, just get The Kneecapper and be done with them. That is my opinion, so if you feel you must find them go ahead, but I'm just trying to help.

Go Eulogys pad under the stair case is alot of nuka cola.
And at the super market .
in every nuka cola mashine you got a 1 in 10 chance of geting a Quantum i think not sure
There's a truck not that far away from Old Olney that had a few but there is no huge stash of Quantum. You can do what BlueMoney5 said just for items sake but for game and trophy's sake, just collect Quantums from the game's onset and don't drink 'em like I did my first go 'round - 30 was easy! After you're finished, you can just loot the crazy chick's machine and take the Kneecapper from Ronald.
Ok, some bad advice all around.
1) Only certain Nuka cola machines have a chance to give a Quantum. Some machines give a fixed nuka cola amount. Other machines give random items. A machine that gives random items has the 10% to give a Quantum. Easy just save before you check a machine. If it gives the same loot over and over, its a regular machine and won't have the 10% chance.
2) There is about 94 static quantums in the game, not including what you might get from the random nuka cola machines, so there is a chance you can get over 100 during the game if you search alot.
3) The only reason to turn in the 30 quantums for the quest is to get the nuka grenade schematic. This increased the amount of nuka grenades you make when making one. With one schematic you make 1 nuka grenade with ingredients. With 2 schematics you make 2, with 3 you make 3. If you don't do alot of sidequests, no reason to turn in the Quantums. If you collect alot of quantums, you WANT to do the sidequest because turning in 30 quantums will get you MORE grenades than normal.
For instance. Lets say you have 70 quantums. With those and a schematic you can make 70 nuka grenades. If you turn in 30 and get a 2nd schematic, your left over 40 quantums can make 80 grenades (which is more). If you find a 3rd schematic, you can make 120 grenades with your 40 quantums.
Easy math. Super strong grenades. So if you have alot of quantums, then turn in the 30 for the schematic.
