What does the color on the arrow mean during a hide and seek mission?

The arrow displayed on the map after you speak to a civilian ( the first hide and seek mission, I just got just got the game)

It points to a direction where the correct box is. The first arrow isn't instantly the answer though. You must keep gathering the arrows until you think you've got a good idea on which box is the one.

The color corresponds to the different children. If I recall correctly they are: Red for Moegi, Blue for Udon, Green for Konohamaru, and a brownish color for an unspecified child. As lilnst pointed out, the arrows point towards the box the child is hiding under.

The arrows r the directions in which the children r hiding. Red is 4 Moegi, Blue is Udon, and Green is Konohamaru. Dont waste your time just randomly opening boxes cuz the timer still runs when Naruto says "wat a bummer" after lifting an empty box. Just talk 2 ppl until the arrows give u a good idea of where 1 of the kids r and then search that specific area. Trust me. I learned the hard way. This way is much easier ;-)
