"Nathan Drake is back for a bigger adventure"
You play as Nathan Drake. The treasure hunter that Searched for and found El Dorado and killed all of the enemies in his path. At the start of this game Nathan Drake is in a bad situation. He is all beat up and bleeding. But that's not the only problem. He is on a train hanging off a cliff. He uses his outstanding climbing abilities to start slowly scaling up the train.
Nathan Drake returns with new characters and some returning characters from the first game. This time Drakes after a stone that is worth hundreds of millions. He follows Marco Polo's trail to find the treasure. The trail leads him to multiple settings including, museums, jungles, Nepal, Tall icy mountains, small villages, and temples. The first half of the game is a flashback of the events prior to the first chapter. The characters are likable and believable.
Game Play: 10/10
Drake is an expert at climbing and using guns. The climbing and controls are simple. This time they added even more weapons. Like the first game the guns get better as you get farther into the game. They still have the medal system. To earn medals you get certain number of kills with certain guns, beat the game on certain difficulties, and getting combos. Each medal earns you money which you can use to buy weapons, character skins, bonus movies and tweaks. You can only use the weapons you buy on the difficulty you beat the game on. The good guns cost more than the cheap guns. Some of the tweaks include slow motion, fast motion, unlimited ammo, one shot one kill. There are five difficulty settings (very easy, easy, normal, hard, and crushing). The aiming system has improved and so has the camera angles. You can now use the Dragon Sniper and FAL rifle with or without the scope.
Multiplayer in this game is good and fun. There are different game modes you can play. There are two teams the heroes and the villains. You get to choose which hero or villain you play as. Weapons are spread out around the map and you try to kill players on the other team as much as you can. You can also play co-op with your friends. In multiplayer you can earn money to purchase more items in the bonus store.
The Graphics are some of the best graphics I have ever seen. All the environments are extremely detailed. The enemies look more realistic and the characters models are even better than the first games.
The audio is great. The voice acting, music and sounds are all great and fit together perfectly. The voice actors make it seem like every single character is a real person. The music fits in with the mood and environment of the game. The guns sound great and realistic.
Pros and Cons
*Good voice acting.
*Variety of weapons.
*Medal system works well.
*Good climbing system.
*gun fights are fun.
*Five difficulty settings.
*Has PlayStation Network Trophies.
*Drakes Journal is sometimes hard to read.
*puzzles are sometimes confusing.
The game has great replay value and is a blast to play. It should be the game of the year for 2009. It will have you play nonstop.
