This guide is designed to help you get 1000 gamerscore/ all the trophies in
Need for Speed: Shift. This is my first attempt at a guide of any kind so

Name: Trial by fire (10)
Description: Complete the NFS Live Pre-race event.
Guide: This one is as easy as they come. When you start up the game you will be
forced to compete in a race. All you have to do is finish this race and you will
get the achievement.

Name: One Small Step (25)
Description: Win your first event.
Guide: Very self-explanatory, just place first in any event in the game.

Name: Road to Success (100)
Description: Reach Tier 2
Guide: At the top of the screen in career mode there is a star with the number
of stars required to reach the next tier of race events. In order to reach the
second tier you will need 30 stars. Stars can be achieved in three ways. First
of all you get one star for finishing third, two stars for finishing second,
or three stars for finishing first in a race. Secondly, each race has two
different point thresholds that must be reached by doing aggressive or precise
moves. You et one star for reaching each threshold and the thresholds vary by
race. Thirdly, there is always one star given for a bonus objective. If you go
to the event you want to race you can press LB for an event preview that will
list the bonus star for that race.

Name: Chance of a Lifetime (100)
Description: Reach Tier 3
Guide: To reach tier 3 you will need to get 80 stars doing the same things as
you did to reach tier 2.

Name: The Final Countdown (100)
Description: Reach Tier 4
Guide: You will need to obtain 180 stars to reach tier 4 using the same
strategies as you used to reach the last two tiers.

Name: NFS Live World Champion (150)
Description: Win the NFS Live World Championship
Guide: After getting 280 stars you will unlock a fifth tier which consists of
two series and one race called the NFS Live World Championship. All you have to
do is win all the three events and you will get the achievement. This is the
most competitive race in the game so I recommend using a super car (a car with
no upgrades available from the start) or a works converted car (a car that has
been given all the upgrades including the works conversion). I used either the
Pagani Zonda F or the Lamborghini Murcielago works convert. You should have no
problem beating this race especially if you set AI and driving level to easy.

Guide During races you will be given points for doing actions that fall into one
of two categories. The first type of move is an aggressive move and it includes:
-Drafting opponent (Driving closely behind an opponent)
-Blocking opponent (Prevent an opponent from passing you by blocking
them with your car)
-Trading paint (make contact with an opponent)
-Spin opponent (uuuuuhhhh spin opponent)
-Dirty overtake (make contact and pass the opponent)
The other types of moves are precision moves and they include:
-Perfect launch (Having the correct RPM at the start of the race)
-Racing line (Follow the racing line)
-Corner master (master any corner)
-Clean overtake (pass an opponent without touching them)
-Clean sector (Drive cleanly through a sector of the track)
Doing these action will earn you more an more experience points and get you
closer to the 500,000 points that are required to reach level 50. There are
also some strategies that can help you reach level 50 faster. If you are good
at drifting you can go to the quick race section and do a short drift track
which will allow you to get a lot of points quickly. If you aren't good at
drifting then you can race at one of the short oval tracks. Do 20 laps with
15 opponents and drive aggressively and you will get over 10,000 a race.

Guide: This is the toughest achievement in the game because a couple of the
European tracks are very tough to master all of the corners on. That being
said it is still doable with practice. Throughout the game you will earn minor
badges for doing specific things. For example, drafting 25 opponents will get
you a minor badge for drafting. Once you collect all of the minor badges in a
certain category you will be awarded with an epic badge. (presumably named
because "epic" became popular during the making of this game) In order to get
the achievement you must get 20 out of the 27 available epic badges. There are
21 badges that can be done offline and 6 badges that must be done online.
Therefor, you can get this achievement completely offline with one badge to
spare.
Epic Badge #1: Clean race at European tracks- For this badge you must perform
a clean race at all 16 of the European tracks. The easiest way to do this is
to go into quick play and race a 1 lap race with 0 opponents at each of the
tracks. Simply finish each race without going off the track and you will get
the badge.
Epic Badge #2: Clean race at Japanese tracks- For this badge you must perform
a clean race at all 7 Japanese tracks. Use the same strategy as discussed for
the European tracks to get this badge.
Epic Badge #3: Clean race at US tracks- For this badge you must perform a
clean race at each of the 14 US tracks. Use the same strategy as the first
two badges to get this one as well.
Epic Badge #4: Corner Master Europe- Master all of the corners at the 15
European tracks. It is best to use a slow AWD car to get the corner master
badges for the harder tracks. You must enter the corner at the correct speed
as well as follow the race line through the corner. Braking in the middle
of the corner will prevent you from mastering that corner. This is one of
the hardest badges to get Epic in because there is one corner at Nordschleife
that is very hard to get. Many people have made youtube videos of this corner
so if you are having trouble check those out. It is also beneficial to run a
quick race with 0 opponents if you are having trouble mastering certain
corners.
Epic Badge #5: Corner Master Japan- Master all of the corners at the 6
Japanese tracks using the same techniques as were discussed for the
European Corner Master badge.
Epic Badge #6: Corner Master US- Master all of the corners at the 11 US tracks
using the same strategies as the European corner master.
Epic Badge #7: Trading paint- To get the epic badge you must trade paint with
250 opponents.
Epic Badge #8: Clean overtake- To get this epic badge you must perform 500
clean overtakes. A clean overtake is when you pass an opponent without making
contact with them.
Epic Badge #9: Dirty overtake- To get this epic badge you must do 500 dirty
overtakes. A dirty overtake occurs when you make contact with an opponent
before passing them.
Epic Badge #10: Drafting- This epic badge is obtained by drafting 250
opponents. Drafting occurs when you drive closely behind an opponent.
Epic Badge #11: Perfect launch- Perform 250 perfect launches to get this
epic badge. To do a perfect launch you must get the gear indicator to turn
perfectly green before the race starts. It's easy to do this if you hold
the trigger down at a constant spot instead of trying to rev the engine the
whole time trying to get lucky.
Epic Badge #12: Difficulty- Win 15 races on hard difficulty. A very easy way
to do this is to turn the AI difficulty to hard and then go to quick race and
do a one lap race with zero opponents. Do 15 races like this and you will
have an epic badge.
Epic Badge #13: Iron man- To get this one you will have to get first place in
10 consecutive races. You should probably get this sometime in the first tier
because those races are pretty easy to win.
Epic Badge #14: Endurance- Finish first in every endurance event.
Epic Badge #15: Star collector- Collect every star in tier 1, 2, 3 and 4. This
one is probably the most consuming and might be even harder than getting
European Corner master so you might want to just skip this one.
Epic Badge #16: Series- Place first overall in all of the series events. You
do not have to win every race in every series just place first overall.
Epic Badge #17: Mixed track- Win all of the mixed track events.
Epic Badge #18: Defeat rivals- Beat all of the rival drivers in career. Rival
events are unlocked when you finish on the podium in all the races in a given
category. Not all events have a rival race.
Epic Badge #19: US manufacture loyalty- You must put 100 miles on three
different US manufactured cars. You can check how many miles are on each of
your cars by looking in the garage area.
Epic Badge #20: Japan manufacture loyalty- You must put 100 miles on three
different Japanese cars.
Epic Badge #21: European manufacture loyalty- You must put 100 miles on
three different European cars.
The rest of the badges can only be obtained by racing online.
Epic Badge #22: Online domination- Get a podium finish in 250 online events
to get this epic badge.
Epic Badge #23: Online European champion- Get a first place finish at all
16 of the European tracks. Must be an online race or time attack.
Epic Badge #24: Online US champion- Finish first at all 14 US tracks in an
online race or time attack.
Epic Badge #25: Online Japanese champion- Finish first at all 7 Japanese
tracks in an online race or time attack.
Epic Badge #26: Online drift champion- Finish first at all 12 drift courses
online.
Epic Badge # 27: Driver duel champion- For this one you must win 10 online
championship in driver duel as well as defend you r championship 10 times.

Guide: Finish an online race or time attack using each of the new Ferraris at
least on time.

Description: Achieve 200 Podium Finishes in a Ferrari
Guide: This can be done in exactly 200 races if you race with only 1 or 2
other drivers as you will be guaranteed to finish on the podium which is the
top three spots.

Name: Challenge Star (25)
Description: Achieve all Stars in the Ferrari Series Competition
Guide: Go to the Ferrari section in career which is located below the first
tier. Then select the Ferrari Series Competition. There are three five race
series that you will have to get all of the stars in to get this achievement.
Each series contains 30 stars with 6 stars for each race. These include three
stars for finishing first, two stars for reaching both of the points thresholds
and one star for a bonus objective that varies between the races. Each of the
series are restricted to one type of Ferrari so get as many upgrades as you can
for the cars and you shouldn't have too much trouble getting first place. If
you do not get the point thresholds on the same attempt when you win the race
you can replay it and purposely go slowly so you can draft opponents and hit/
spin them out in order to reach the point thresholds.

Description: Complete the Ferrari Nordschleife Endurance event in 1st place
Guide: Get in the Ferrari FXX and go to the Ferrari section of the career
section which is located below the first tier. Select the endurance category
and choose the race at Nordschleife. If you are in the FXX you should have no
trouble passing all the other cars and finishing first.
