Battlefield: Bad Company 2

How do I register games on the Battlefield Veteran site?
I've played Battlefield Heroes and that has registered with the site, but I own Battlefield 1943 on PS3 and it doesn't recognise that, nor does it recognise my copy of BC2. I need my M1 Garand! Anyone know a manual way to register the games?

if you have an account linked to EA it will automatically add them or you have to go to the veteran website here veteran.battlefield.com/ and sign up and it will ask you for your username
Right now the veterans site is having problems, but there is a manual way to getting your Garand. Someone has posted the solution in the message boards, it involves you logging into the Bad Company 2 site.
