    2. About this FAQ
    ==============================================================================
    After months of training (and dying) to finally beat Team Mission Mode,
    I found out that nobody made a faq for this crazy mode and decided
    to make one myself.
    
    I'm going to assume you're reading this to get information about how to become
    more effective at the missions and therefore already know the basics that
    Story Mode teaches you. So I won't be covering stuff like controls or general
    tips and will be using a lot of terms like OLUT (On Landing UT) or OLR (On
    Landing Revive).
    
    All missions will come with video links at the bottom.
    
    I hope this faq will help you guys beat this mode.

    My name is Jan Doek. I live in the Netherlands, Limburg and have been a gamer
    for the past 18 years. I play hack & slash and RPG games mostly but I'm in
    for anything good.

    4. The characters
    ==============================================================================
    Here follows a brief description of the characters. This includes the pro's
    and con's of each character and recommended combo's.

    Ryu Hayabusa
    ----------------------------------------------
    The well known Dragon Ninja returns for another game. Boasting the most
    diverse weapon- and combo set, plus 4 Ninpo's and a good balance between speed
    and power, he's the preferred choice for pretty much any mission.
    
    For more detail on his weapons, their pro's and con's and the recommended
    combo's to use, check the "Weapons" section below.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - Great diversity and balance
    - You spend most of the time in Story Mode using him
    
    Con's:
    
    - None
    
    ----------------------------------------------
    Momiji
    ----------------------------------------------
    Momiji first appeared in the Ninja Gaiden game for the DS, but she left her
    katana behind for a naginata in this game.
    
    She's the best dodger in the game, not counting Rachel's Twirl exploit, and
    controls the air like no other with her aerial ET/UT and double jump. Of the 3
    girls she's in the middle when it comes to speed and power.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - Double jump
    - Aerial ET/UT
    - Can double jump and charge ET/UT AFTER aerial attacks as well
    - Longer I-frames with dashing (unconfirmed)
    - Can chain her Aerial ET/UT into OT ad infinitum
    - Great counters
    - Better Guillotine Throw than Ryu's
    - Well balanced character
    - Has I-frames when shooting arrows on the ground
    
    Con's:
    
    - Lacks the power of Ryu and Rachel
    - Izuna Drop has a bad habit of not connecting

    Rachel
    ----------------------------------------------
    Rachel is a popular character that appeared in Ninja Gaiden 1 and was made
    playable for the Sigma version. However, she infuriated the majority of the
    community because she wasn't as strong as advertised and her slow and clumsy
    fighting style forced gamers to abuse counters above all else.
    
    Now she returns, but with an incredible amount of upgrades.
    
    First off, her stupid projectile from the first game has been replaced for a
    machine gun that obliterates all enemies and even one of the bosses.
    Secondly, her power has been increased a lot and she even rivals Ryu's
    strongest weapon (BotA) in sheer killing power and that's without counting in
    that absurdly powerful machine gun.
    Thirdly, her combo's have been changed to be shorter and more effective.
    And finally, her UT has been replaced by an imitation of the Eclipse Scythe's
    UT, but with more power and the ability to use I-frames even at a level 0
    charge.
    
    Oh, and be sure to check out #26 in the Secret Arts section. It's a vital
    Rachel technique for beating the missions.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - Immense power
    - Machine gun kills like crazy
    - Great UT
    - ET/UT provides I-frames even at a level 0 charge
    - Can act as a decoy for bosses by abusing the Twirl's invincibility
    - Dash can be used to leap over enemies (same effect as Ryu's head stomp)
    - Easy to use and master
    
    Con's:
    
    - Slower than the other characters
    - No Guillotine Throw
    - She's still got no fashion sense whatsoever...
    
    Best combo's:

    Ayane
    ----------------------------------------------
    Ayane made cameo appearances in both Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2. She's made playable
    for the first time in Sigma 2, but it seems like Team Ninja is intent on
    having at least one character around to annoy people.
    
    She is weak in almost every aspect, from combo's to UT. This isn't helped by
    her being a character that focuses on multi-hit combo's and OT's so her use for
    most boss fights is practically zero.
    
    She does, however, possess the highest delimb rate in the game, is very fast
    and agile and her Flying Swallow is a OHKO beast!
    
    Pro's:
    
    - The best at delimbing and OT'ing enemies
    - Flying Swallow is a beast!
    - Can loop Rasetsu and Fiend Ryu
    - Very fast and agile
    
    
    Con's:
    
    - Sucks for most boss fights
    - Weak in pretty much anything she does, except delimbing
    
    Best combo's:

    5. Weapons
    ==============================================================================
    The following is a list of all the weapons for Ryu in the game and their uses
    for Team Mission Mode. I will list the pro's and con's of each weapon and
    provide info on the best combo's to use with them.

    Dragon Sword / True Dragon Sword
    ----------------------------------------------
    The Dragon Sword/True Dragon Sword is what it always has been: a well
    balanced, good but never great weapon for any situation.
    
    Because of that it isn't very effective for Team Missions as the missions are
    tailored to very specific weapon strategies.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - Very well balanced
    - High damage
    
    Con's:
    
    - Gets outclassed by other weapons
    - Very few uses thanks to the specific weapon strategies needed for the
      missions
    
    Best combo's:
    
    S, S, T, O, T
    S, T, S, S, S, T
    FS x3
    S, S, S, T
    S, T (hold), T, T, T x3

    Lunar Staff
    ----------------------------------------------
    This weapon didn't have many uses in Sigma 1 but for Sigma 2 it's received
    some very hefty upgrades, making it the 3rd best weapon in the game.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - The 360 ET/UT is a great killing tool
    - Izuna Drop is the best in the game and can loop Genshin and Fiend Ryu
    - Can do OHKO's on Fiend Ryu
    
    Con's:
    
    - Not as powerful against bosses as some of the other weapons
    - Being a multi-hit weapon, it's effectiveness against humanoid bosses is
      low
    
    Best combo's:

    Falcon's Talons
    ----------------------------------------------
    A very cool weapon but completely useless for this mode as it gets outclassed
    by every other weapon in every field.
    
    At least you can easily recognize noobs thanks to it. If somebody uses this
    weapon for a Master Ninja/Ultimate Ninja mission, he/she is a noob 98% of the
    time.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - It looks cool...
    - Has the ability to lift Ryu and the enemy in the air with a Flying Swallow
      and can then follow it up with an Izuna Drop
    - Great for dealing with groups of humanoid enemies
    
    Con's:
    
    - Gets outclassed in a lot of fields by the other weapons
    
    Best combo's:
    
    SSTT
    S, S, S, T (hold)
    S, T, S, S, S, T
    >S, S, S, T (hold)
    Wall Run T (hold), OLUT

    Vigoorian Flail
    ----------------------------------------------
    Another weapon that's useless for this mode and one that even noobs don't use.
    Its lack of power is astounding and the only good things it has going for it
    are Piercing Mountain, which is useless on the higher difficulties, and a high
    delimb rate.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - Great for delimbing and OT'ing humanoid enemies
    
    Con's:
    
    - Very weak damage
    - Sucks for bosses due to being a multi-hit weapon
    - Hard to use
    
    Best combo's:
    
    Most of them end in Piercing Mountain anyway...
    
    ----------------------------------------------
    Enma's Fang
    ----------------------------------------------
    The "new" weapon added to Sigma 2. It will look very familiar to Sigma 1 vets
    tough as it's just the Dabilahro with a new skin. It's also surprisingly fast
    for a heavy hitting weapon.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - Can launch heavy type enemies
    - High damage
    - Surprisingly fast
    - Good AoE UT
    
    Con's:
    
    - Hard to handle effectively
    - UT suffers from increased enemy health in Sigma 2
    - Gets outshined by the Blade of the Archfiend in the damage department,
      which is also an easier weapon to use than the Enma's Fang
    
    Best combo's:

    DCTF / Blade of the Archfiend
    ----------------------------------------------
    The most used weapon in Team Missions and for a good reason. It boasts the
    highest damage of any weapon, can abuse I-frames at will and is a downright
    killer for almost every boss.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - Amazing damage
    - Great combo potential
    - Boss killer
    - Can abuse I-frames with 360T
    
    Con's:
    
    - Easy to use but hard to master
    
    Best combo's:
    
    T, T, T, T
    S, S, T, T

    S, T (hold), TTTT

    Kusari-gama
    ----------------------------------------------
    I highly recommend watching the Ninja Assassin movie to see the awesomesauce
    this weapon is!
    
    The weapon is, unfortunately, very underrated by the general community because
    of its very steep learning curve and low damage output (some combo's are
    surprisingly powerful tough).
    
    However, in the hands of a master this weapon can destroy normal enemies with
    its excellent throw- and crowd control game. It's also one of the only 2
    weapons in the game that can be effectively used against Fiend Genshin and
    Obaba.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - Freakin' awesome weapon!
    - Excellent grab game
    - Great for crowd control
    - Great for Fiend Genshin and Obaba
    - Surprisingly powerful with the right moves
    
    Con's:
    
    - Very steep learning curve
    - Low damage if you don't know which combo's to use
    - Only useful for 1 high difficulty mission
    - Being mostly a multi-hit weapon, it loses effectiveness against humanoid
      bosses
    
    Best combo's:
    
    360T, T, T
    Air T, S, S
    T, T, T, T, T, T
    Anything that ends in a grab
    
    ----------------------------------------------
    Tonfa
    ----------------------------------------------
    Say hello to the 2nd best weapon for Team Missions: the Tonfa.
    
    With the best ET/UT in the game, high power with certain combo's, the ability
    to dash mid-combo and being able to create your own combo's it's easily the
    best weapon in the game!
    
    Oh, and it's the best weapon to use against Fiend Genshin too.
    
    The only 2 reasons it gets 2nd place for Team Missions is because its single
    hit combo's (needed for the Greater Fiends and similar bosses) don't have the
    power that the BotA has so they will take longer to defeat and the 360T comes
    out slower than the BotA's.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - Best ET/UT in the game!
    - Delimbs enemies like a beast!
    - High power on certain combo's
    - Mid-combo dashing
    - "Create your own combo" ability
    - Mid-combo dash can chain into OLUT without having to jump
    - Fiend Genshin killer
    - Can abuse I-frames with 360T
    - ET/UT provides I-frames even at a level 0 charge
    - Invincibility during Flying Swallow (check Secret Art #9 & 10)
    - Can be used to fight Elizébeth fair and square!
    
    Con's:
    
    - Lower damage output than the BotA
    - Hard weapon to use and master
    - 360T has longer start up time than the BotA one
    - Suffers in effectiveness against the Greater Fiends
    
    Best combo's:

    Eclipse Scythe
    ----------------------------------------------
    A kickass weapon that unfortunately got nerfed for Sigma 2. It's UT with that
    large range and the Flying Swallow that chains into a grab are still as
    awesome as ever tough.
    
    Too bad the scythe ends up being overshadowed by the top 3 weapons in almost
    every field.
    
    Pro's:
    
    - Long distance UT
    - FS chains into grab
    - Good grab game
    - Good crowd control
    
    Con's:
    
    - Not very effective against most bosses
    - Damage output for certain moves has been nerfed for the Sigma 2 version
    - Loses in power to the BotA
    
    Best combo's:
    
    T, T ,T

    9. Boss fights
    ==============================================================================
    This section will give detailed descriptions on how to tackle the many bosses
    of this game in preparation for the Team Missions.
    
    The boss fights are done with the following rules:
    
    - Master Ninja
    - No damage
    - Story Mode weapon & combo limitations
    - No glitches
    - No loops
    
    Note: Zedonius Round 2 is an exception to the "No damage" rule as the strategy
    for that fight requires you to go through lava.
    
    ----------------------------------------------
    Buddha Statue Round 1
    ----------------------------------------------
    Being your first boss encounter of the game, Buddha is very easy to beat.
    
    Start by immediately going to the outside of one of his hands. He'll either
    do a horizontal swipe or raise his arm. If he does the swipe, dodge away from
    his arm pronto!
    This is a grab and the glitchy collision detection on this move can cause Ryu
    to be caught by it sometimes, even if you're on the outside of his hand. So
    always dodge it!
    
    When he raises his arm it's time to attack. Dodge the blow and retaliate with
    a quick SST, O combo. He'll either quickly raise for another blow or slowly
    retreat his arm. If he does that you can get in 2 more quick SST combo's.
    
    He also will use 2 different range attacks. One is charging a big laser,
    the second is him making some sort of hand gesture causing pillars of light to
    erupt from the floor.
    The laser can be easily dodged by taking some distance and positioning yourself
    diagonally to the boss. Just charge forward when he fires it.
    The pillars can be dodged by dash jumping in a wide 180 degrees arc to the
    other hand.
    
    Quickly move to the other hand once one is down and do a Flying Swallow for a
    free hit. Keep in mind the light pillar attack has changed now to be a quick 3
    pillar strike. Dodge in a small circle to stay close to the hand and resume
    fighting.
    
    Keep this up until the 2nd hand goes down too.
    
    Whack the head a few times and this easy fight is over!

    Rasetsu Round 1

    This guys looks intimidating but he's actually far simpler to beat than the
    last boss. This is also the first of the so-called "humanoid" bosses.
    
    They're different from the big bosses in that they follow set patterns and
    you can only hit them for a certain number of times after certain attacks.
    So you can't just mash attacks like it's a Devil May Cry boss or something.
    
    Rasetsu allows 3 hit combo´s but most other humanoid bosses allow 4 hits.
    
    I won´t explain his attacks as even the Spider Ninja have more difficult
    attacks in their repertoire.
    
    Block/dodge his combo or grab, hit him with SST, O. Repeat untill he's death.

    Buddha Statue Round 2

    Same as the last fight, but he'll use his ranged attacks a lot more and has a
    new swipe attack.
    
    The new swipe is dangerous in that it pushes you into the range of his grab if
    you don't dodge it properly. Re-position yourself quickly if this happens.
    
    For the rest it's the same fight, with a needless health regen near the end...

    Rasetsu Round 2
    ----------------------------------------------
    This is the last time in the game that Rasetsu has boss status, he'll be a
    normal enemy in later encounters.
    
    Now that you have the Lunar at level 2 you can keep your distance, charge
    360UT's and own him!
    If you don't have the Lunar at level 2 you can fight him the same way as in
    chapter 1.

    Genshin Round 1
    ----------------------------------------------
    This is basically your introduction to the technique called "block hoarding".
    Whenever you're not doing something...BLOCK!!!!!!
    
    Also learn when you can block during combo's. There are a lot of combo's in the
    game where you can start blocking even though Ryu is still in the recovery or
    attack animation.
    
    Genshin will usually start the fight with a Flying Swallow. Block it and dodge
    behind him (Izuna combo's have a slightly better chance to hit him from behind
    it seems).
    Quickly do a STSST (Izuna) combo with the Lunar. If it connects you'll score
    big damage, if not it will still do some damage but remember to block during the
    final T strike or Genshin will hit you when you land.
    
    Once near 50% health he will start charging a Ninpo. You really don't want to
    get hit by this as it rapes your health bar! If you're confident in your timing
    you can dodge through it and try another Izuna. If not, take some distance and
    dash jump a lot to dodge it.
    
    To help with dodging the Ninpo, listen closely to Genshin. He'll fire it in the
    middle of shouting "basara".
    
    Around 15% health he´ll throw another Ninpo. Finish the fight!

    Gigadeath
    ----------------------------------------------
    While not broken like his NG2 version, Gigadeath is still a tricky fight.
    
    Try to stay behind him as much as possible while firing arrows, his frontal
    attacks can DESTROY YOUR LIFE BAR IN SECONDS!!!!! A good trick for this fight
    is to strafe sideways to shoot faster.
    
    Keep an eye out for the little fish thingies. When they charge  you you can
    use Lunar´s TTT combo to protect yourself.
    Keep repositioning yourself and firing arrows until he falls down and finish
    him with an OT.
    
    Not much else to say about him except that it´s strongly recommended to watch
    the video for this boss.

    Blind Troll Round 1

    Looks intimidating but easy to beat.
    
    Get underneath him immediately. Now he can only do 3 things: swing his arms
    around, breath you to death or do the pound.
    
    His breath attack is the only danger in this fight. When he crouches down and
    his face is staring right at you he´ll do this attack. Quickly get out of the
    way because this attack cannot be blocked! It´s also a multi-hit attack if he
    catches you in the air, so don´t jump into it if you want to live.
    
    The pound is the main attack you´ll be seeing from him. He´ll raise his arms and
    slam them into the ground. You can either block or dodge this.
    
    Keep doing short combo´s in between his attacks and he´ll soon be ripe for an
    OT.

    Alexei Round 1

    The first of the 4 Greater Fiends and the first time you´ll have trouble
    beating a boss.
    
    Falcon´s Talons level 2 with the SSTT combo is the most damage efficient for
    this fight.
    
    Always try to stay close to him as it will reduce the chance of him going
    airborne where he can use his most dangerous attacks. Also, do a single strike
    each time after dodging one of his attacks that isn´t the 3-hit combo or the
    grab to further decrease the chance of him flying up.
    
    After hitting him with a 4 hit combo, quickly throw a shuriken. This also seems
    to decrease the chance of him taking to the skies.
    
    Speaking of attacks, he has a wide variety of them and they all require specific
    movements to dodge, so I´ll do a move-by-move explanation of this guy.
    
    3-hit combo: 3 part combo ending with the 3rd hit being an uppercut. Block the
    first hit and dodge the other 2 and then attack him. If the uppercut connects
    he´ll add a fourth strike which can be a powerful jab or a grab.
    
    Grab: jump in the air to dodge it and then attack.
    
    Electric Pound: he´ll jump up in the air and slam his fist into the ground.
    Jump just before he hits the ground. Later on in the game when you have the
    DCTF,
    you can abuse 360T instead.
    
    2-punch dash combo: uncommon attack. Just block/dodge it.
    
    Air dash/grab: his most notorious attack. He´ll fly up and dash at you with
    high speed. Always dodge this cause it can also be a grab.
    
    Vortex: he´ll spin around for a short while and come straight at you. Dodge
    this by listening to Alexei´s audio cues or use the DCTF´s 360T later in the
    game.
    
    Electric orbs: dangerous attack if you don´t know how to handle it. If he´s
    very far away you can just block it and the air dash that follows after can´t
    hit
    you. If he´s in dash range you want to dash jump to the side once and keep
    running.
    Once he does the dash you can dodge it.
    
    Super Saiyan 1: not an attack but he´ll do this when he´s near death. He´ll
    burst with lightning causing his attacks to be slightly faster and now he can do
    multiple air dashes in a row which is just sick!!!
    
    Super Saiyan 2: E-X-T-R-E-M-E-L-Y R-A-R-E move. Have only seen him do it twice
    in the 17 months that I own this game O.O
    
    It has the exact same effect as Super Saiyan 1 but now there´s lightning
    bursting from the ground all around him. It looks amazing and I really wish this
    was his regular powerup..
    
    Lightning bolts: very rare attack. He´ll start hovering in the air and will
    continuesly fire lightning at you until you hit him. Best way to dodge this is
    to dodge the first hit, wait a little bit and Wind Path through the 2nd hit.
    Later on you can abuse DCTF's 360T for this.
    
    Timing is very, very strict on this one...
    
    Lightning pits: same as Buddha´s pillars of light attack. You know the drill.

    Statue of Liberty

    Buddha fight without but then a lot harder. Yay for creativity! xd
    
    Her attacks are faster, her recovery animations are shorter so you can´t combo
    her as much as Buddha and when she slams the ground it will create an electric
    shockwave.
    
    The shockwaves can be dodged by doing a single dash jump and then increasing
    your airtime with projectiles. She has no grabs, but for the rest this is the
    same fight until she´s near 50% health.
    
    Fom that moment on she will fire electric orbs everytime she attacks, meaning
    you now have to deal with phyical attacks, shockwaves AND projectiles.
    
    Once both arms have been freed from their shackles you have a few free shots at
    her collar before she resumes the assault. Keep dodging and shooting her
    whenever you have an opening until she falls down for the OT.

    Tengu Round 1
    ----------------------------------------------
    Probably THE most overused boss EVAR! You fight these guys a whopping 5 times
    in Story Mode and all fights are the same.
    
    It´s only one Tengu for this fight and he´s a humanoid boss. He´ll only allow a
    single hit though. Anything more then that and you risk getting countergrabbed.
    
    Hit him once with S after dodging one of his combo´s or the pound. Use the S
    counter against the first hit of his 3 or 4-hit combo and that´s it.
    He´ll die in a few seconds due to his craptastic health bar...
    
    Oh, almost forgot. If he jumps back to create some distance it´s best to chase
    him and hit him once or you´ll risk him using a grab. He also has an imitation
    of your Wind Blades Ninpo, so get some distance when he starts charging it.

    Tengu Round 2
    ----------------------------------------------
    Move to the left as soon as the fight starts and lure the Red Tengu with you to
    the corner. As long as the other one is far away and outside the screen he
    wont´t infere, making this fight as much as a joke as the last one was.
    
    When you´re done with him you can finish the Blue Tengu off. Oh, you can also
    start the fight with spamming Ninpo. Ninpo deals amazing damage against these
    guys.

    Water Dragon

    I wonder what Team Ninja was smoking when they changed the only real boss fight
    on water in the entire franchise to this boring spam fest...
    
    I recommend saving up on Ninpo and refills for this fight. The Talisman of
    Rebirth also refills your Ninpo when you die and you can find one just before
    this boss fight.
    
    Charge the Enma´s Fang UT and use the long I-frames to protect yourself while
    damaging the boss in the process. This strategy isn´t waterproof so use a Ninpo
    if you end up in a situation where you can´t charge the UT in time.
    Blast him with the cannon whenever you have an opening and can still charge UT´s
    afterwards.
    
    Not much more to say really. Best to watch the video.

    Bone Fiend
    ----------------------------------------------
    Skip this section if you have enough Ki for 2 Void Ninpo´s and go read the
    Alternative Strategy.
    
    A more diverse and powerful version of the Blind Troll.
    
    Get underneath him and use the DCTF´s TTTT combo whenever you have an opening.
    Dodge his attacks by dashing through them or by abusing 360T. After awhile he´ll
    fall down and be extra vulnerable to combo´s.
    
    Resume the fight when he gets up.
    
    2 attacks are worth noting seperately.
    
    First is him grabbing a bunch of skulls and eating them. This´ll make him
    drunk and you can hit his tail for free during this and even after, as he´ll
    move forward swinging around like the drunk he is.
    Lastly is him spinning around. This is his most dangerous attack as it
    guardbreakes. Dash repeatedly toward him while holding block the entire time
    until he finishes.

    Bone Fiend Alternative Strategy

    If you have 2 Void Ninpo´s ready you can really go to town with this guy!
    
    Get underneath him and use the DCTF´s TTTT combo whenever you have an opening.
    Dodge his attacks by dashing through them or by abusing 360T. After awhile
    he´ll fall down and be extra vulnerable to combo´s.
    
    This is when Void comes into play. Charge the Ninpo as soon as you see him
    falling and aim it at the glowing part of his chest. A well aimed blast can
    deal between 40% and 60% damage!
    Using this technique you can beat him in record time and you won´t have too
    worry about his attacks too much.

    Volf Round 1

    Volf is tough, but also very fun boss to fight, thanks to his diverse set of
    physical combo's.
    
    Key to beating him is to use the BotA 360T during specific parts of his combo's
    and attack with TTTT.
    
    He'll start the fight by charging you. Dodge and you have a free TTTT combo.
    After that the fight really starts.
    
    This is one case where I won't describe the attacks but I'll refer to the 2
    videos below as it's very hard to describe his attacks and when to use the
    360T.

    Marbus Round 1

    Remember this guy? Yup, it's the same pushover that you fought in Sigma 1...
    
    The timing to his attacks is a bit different and he has lost his ability to
    summon aid non-stop. This actually makes him easier then he already was.
    
    But he's the first boss that has enemy reinforcements in the game, Zedonius and
    Dagra Dai also have this later in the game, so you'll still have to be on your
    toes, as fighting against a boss AND his minions is an entirely different
    ballgame.
    
    Charge an UT right from the start, even if you can't get a level 1 or 2 charge,
    the UT still has I-frames at level 0 to protect you.
    Keep running and dodging until you get an opening and then use a quick attack
    like OLUT, STT, or machinegun fire to take the enemies out. Don't hesitate to
    use Ninpo if you're in trouble!
    Once they're gone you can fight Marbus.
    
    There are 2 attacks that leave him vulnerable.
    First is the most obvious one, his spinning dive. After dodging this he's wide
    open for a powerful SSTT (even if only the TT part hits, it still does major
    damage!).
    Second and last is when he hovers above and tries to punch you, he'll either
    chain it into a dash or just sit there. If he sits there you can hit him with
    a quick combo.
    
    On a seperate note, he's vulnerable to gunfire so shower him with bullets if
    he's far away.
    Keep this up and he'll die eventually.
    
    Note: Marbus is actually the only boss that can charge UT's! DO NOT leave
    essence floating around or he'll absorb it into his spinning dive. This
    changes the attack to a dash grab that does very high damage and offcourse
    OHKO's you on Master Ninja.

    Make sure you have 3 Void Ninpo and atleast 1 or 2 Void recharge items.
    
    Fighting him like other bosses will undoubtedly get you hurt a lot so it's time
    to spam UT's!
    
    Get to his side and charge the Scythe's UT. Keep firing UT blasts and
    repositioning yourself so that Armadillo keeps walking in a circle (check video
    to see the proper spacing).
    
    Get some distance if he attacks with the fire balls or the "bowling ball of
    death"
    and keep dash jumping until it's over and then get back into position.
    
    After you deplete around 35% of his health, he'll rear up. Quickly charge an UT!
    He'll now explode with fire and he'll fire those damn fire balls nonstop.
    
    Spam Void Ninpo against him (hitting the head does more damage) and only charge
    an UT if he stops the fire balls to breathe fire. 3-4 Void Ninpo and 2 UT blasts
    will take him down.
    
    Oh yeah... GUARD WHEN HE EXPLODES AFTER THE OT!!!!

    Zedonius has 2 nasty tricks up his sleeve, but for the rest he's quite easy so I
    won't go into much detail like with his brethren.
    
    Immediately start the Inferno Ninpo and get rid of those Gaja bastards. Here
    comes Zed's first nasty trick, the Fire Pound!
    He'll hover in the air and move upwards outside the screen, immediately do a
    360T with the BotA or you'll lose a ton of health. Normal dodging is not
    recommended as this move has extremely strict timing.
    
    Fight him on the ground by dodging his combo's and then hitting him once
    afterwards to make him stay on the ground. Wait for his grab and dodge it, this
    is your chance for a big TTTT combo!
    
    Soon enough his 2nd nasty trick appears, close-range fireballs that are
    impossible to dodge. This is actually an upgrade for his Sigma 2 version.
    Smart move Hayashi....
    This is where BotA comes in. Dodge the first fire ball and then do Wind Path
    followed by Flying Swallow. This will force Zed to stop throwing fire balls
    and you won't get hurt.
    
    Keep this up until he's down to 50% health, while keeping an eye out for his
    grab (he can cancel a combo into a grab, but since his grab is slow it's easy
    to see coming).
    He'll fire his laser at 50%. This is his biggest weakness as it allows a TTT
    followed by TTTT combo during it. However, this also summons Gajas so you
    can't abuse this weakness in this fight. Kill the Gajas again and keep
    fighting until Zed bites the dust.
    
    Makes me wonder why the Lord of Fire can die from being burned though...

    Obaba
    ----------------------------------------------
    Obaba is not a tough boss, but she has some tricks up her sleeve that you need
    to be aware of.
    
    She can grab you midcombo but she's not nearly as stupid as the Tengu so you can
    use 4 hit combo's against her safely. Be careful of her 2 grabs, one she does
    when she gets up after being knocked down (only if you're close enough) and
    also does quite a lot during the fight and for the other she'll stretch out her
    arm.
    
    That 2nd grab is one of the few boss grabs that doesn't OHKO you but losing 95%
    health still hurts! This grab is usually forshadowed by Obaba taking distance
    with a backwards somersault.
    
    Now then! Dodge her attacks as usual (block hording and dodging out of a guard
    break should be a habit for you by now...) and hit her with a quick SSTT combo.
    Hit her with a Flying Swallow after her spinning attack cause that has a good
    chance to knock her down.
    If she's knocked down you can use an UT or do SSTT if you want to take a risk.
    
    She'll bite the dust quickly if you follow this strategy.
    
    Note: fighting her with Ryu is best done by using the Kusari-gama's Air TSS. It
    does great damage against her and keeps you safe from midcombo grab shenanigans!

    Fire Dragon

    This dragon is quite the fun fight.
    
    Get to this side. Dodge his difficult attacks like the pound or the tailswipe
    with a well timed 360T. Each time you dodge the pound you can do TTTT. Keep this
    up and he'll be down for an OT.
    
    After you do it and he loses its tail he will create fire on his sides (the boss
    glitches in the vid so you won't get to see it there). Now you can just switch
    to attacking from behind until it's time for that last OT!

    Gold Dragon

    Elizébeth is one of the toughest and most complicated bosses you'll ever
    encounter in a hack&slash game (more on her later in this faq).
    
    She'll be back later in the game, so for this fight whip out your Eclipse
    Scythe! Spam UT's against her and get yourself aquainted with her vast array of
    attacks and combo's, you'll need this knowledge and experience for when you have
    to deal with her in the Team Missions mode...

    Tengu Round 3

    Same as before, but different because you now use Ryu.
    
    Pick Tonfa and do an OLUT against the Red Tengu. This will push him into the
    corner so the blue one won't bother you. Do S counter against the first hit of
    his 3-4 hit combo, hit him once with >T after dodging a pound and use >TT,
    dash T when he finishes an attack.
    
    I said never to do more then 1 hit, but the Tonfa's dash T can cancel the
    counter assault the Tengu use after the 2nd hit so it's safe to fight them
    this way.
    
    1 UT and a full >TT, dash T should be enough to get rid of the Red Tengu. Finish
    the blue one and enjoy the prospect of having to fight these guys again real
    soon!

    Yup here is that red one that got away last time.
    
    Get to the right so you have a clear shot and blast the Ninja dudes with the
    Inferno Ninpo. Spam some Void Ninpo against the Red Tengu and fight him like
    last time.

    Genshin Round 3

    The same as the last 2 fights, but with 2 new moves...
    
    His uppercut now chains into Underworld Drop, which is basically the OUCH!
    version of the Izuna Drop.
    
    His dash attack that he needs to charge now gets a 2nd dash right after it. This
    can launch you into the Underworld Drop so be careful!
    
    Genshin will usually start the fight with a Flying Swallow. Block it and dodge
    behind him (Izuna combo's have a slightly better chance to hit him from behind
    it seems).
    Quickly do a STSST (Izuna) combo with the Lunar. If it connects you'll score
    big damage, if not it will still do some damage but remember to block during the
    final T strike or Genshin will hit you when you land.
    
    Keep this up while paying extra care not to get hit by his 2 new moves.
    
    Once near 50% health he will start charging a Ninpo. You really don't want to
    get hit by this as it rapes your health bar. If you're confident in your timing
    you can dodge through it and try another Izuna. If not, take some distance and
    dash jump a lot to dodge it.
    
    To help with dodging the Ninpo, listen closely to Genshin. He'll fire it in the
    middle of shouting "basara".
    
    Around 15% health he´ll throw another Ninpo. Finish the fight!

    Marbus Round 2

    Him again...
    
    Charge an UT. You'll either get enough time to hit one of those crab fiend or
    you won't, doesn't matter much. Deal with the remaining crab fiends after that
    with more UT's, Izuna Drops or Ninpo blasts.
    
    Kill fiends the entire time and run around until he does his spinning dive.
    Dodge it! Hit him with Flying Swallow to get behind him and do SSST, STO, OL
    level 0 charge. The level 0 charge can be used to move straight through him
    when he
    tries to grab you.
    
    Use different parts of the combo based on how much time you think you have left
    before he gets up, the combo above is when you have maximum time.
    
    Keep this up and he'll be down fast thanks to the True Dragon Sword's excellent
    power!

    This is the same fight but actually easier because of a simple trick.
    
    Go the left when the fight starts and cross the lava. You'll take damage, but
    once you reach the left island you can fight Zed without his helpers and you can
    now abuse his laser (which he also does a lot more in this fight).

    Volf Round 2

    Volf is tough, but also a very fun boss to fight, thanks to his diverse set of
    physical combo's.
    
    Key to beating him is to use the BotA 360T during specific parts of his combo's
    and attack with TTTT.
    
    He'll start the fight by sending his horsemen at you. A couple of Enma UT's
    will kill them. Now Volf will appear on the other side of the arena. Switch to
    the BotA again and approach him in a wide arc while dodging his UT's.
    
    Once you get close it's the same fight as last time.
    
    This is one case where I won't describe the attacks but I'll refer to the 2
    videos below as it's very hard to describe his attacks and when to use the 360T.

    They also appear in the Warrior 10 and Ultimate Ninja 02 in Team Missions mode.
    
    That's a grand total of 7 fights against them in the entire game!
    
    Anyway, same as before with Ryu. This time you have a very small arena so it'll
    be a bit tougher this time. Spam Void Ninpo, fight with Tonfa.

    Alexei Round 2

    The same as before (only now you have the powerful BotA TTTT combo) so I'm
    copying this from earlier with a few adjustments.
    
    Always try to stay close to him as it will reduce the chance of him going
    airborne where he can use his most dangerous attacks.
    Also, do a single strike each time after dodging one of his attacks that isn´t
    the 3-hit combo or the grab to further decrease the chance of him flying up.
    
    After hitting him with the TTTT combo, quickly throw a shuriken or do >S. This
    also seems to decrease the chance of him taking to the skies.
    
    Speaking of attacks, he has a wide variety of them and they all require specific
    movements to dodge, so I´ll do a move-by-move explanation of this guy.
    
    3-hit combo: 3 part combo ending with the 3rd hit being an uppercut. Block the
    first hit and dodge the other 2 and then attack him. If the uppercut connects
    he´ll add a fourth strike which can be a powerful jab or a grab.
    
    Grab: jump in the air to dodge it and then attack.
    
    Electric Pound: he´ll jump up in the air and slam his fist into the ground.
    Jump just before he hits the ground or use 360T.
    
    2-punch dash combo: uncommon attack. Just block/dodge it.
    
    Air dash/grab: his most notorious attack. He´ll fly up and dash at you with
    high speed. Always dodge this cause it can also be a grab. 360T
    
    Vortex: he´ll spin around for a short while and come straight at you. Dodge
    this by using the DCTF´s 360T.
    
    Electric orbs: dangerous attack if you don´t know how to handle it. If he´s
    very far away you can just block it and the air dash that follows after can´t
    hit you. If he´s in dash range you want to dash jump to the side once and keep
    running. Once he does the dash you can dodge it.
    
    Super Saiyan 1: not an attack but he´ll do this when he´s near death. He´ll
    burst with lightning causing his attacks to be slightly faster and now he can
    do multiple air dashes in a row which is just sick!!!
    
    Super Saiyan 2: E-X-T-R-E-M-E-L-Y R-A-R-E move. Have only seen him do it twice
    in the 17 months that I own this game O.O
    
    It has the exact same effect as Super Saiyan 1 but now there´s lightning
    bursting from the ground all around him. It looks amazing and I really wish
    this was his regular powerup..
    
    Lightning bolts: very rare attack. He´ll start hovering in the air and will
    continuesly fire lightning at you until you hit him. Best way to dodge this
    is to dodge the first hit, wait a little bit and Wind Path through the 2nd hit.
    You can also try the 360T for this.
    
    Timing is very, very strict on this one...
    
    Lightning pits: same as Buddha´s pillars of light attack. You know the drill,
    but I doubt you'll ever get to see this move...

    A different weapon this time, the True Dragon Sword!
    
    Dodge/fight him like usual but now you must use this combo:
    
    >T (hold), shuriken, TT, SSST.
    
    This combo does more damage then BotA's TTTT and it's safe because SSST has
    I-frames during the T part to keep you safe from possible counterattacks.

    Fiend Genshin (Kusari-gama)
    ----------------------------------------------
    Finally! About time we got a different version of him to fight!
    
    He may have lost his ability to double dash into Underworld Drop but he gained a
    few new tricks to compensate.
    
    He's capable of teleporting now and has flaming kunai projectiles (chip damage
    on block, mostly used in the air after a teleport). He has also gained an
    unblockable fire pound and now has a grab (paragraphed by him standing still
    and twirling his sword, but he can also do a quick version which is rare but
    still a big threat) that leads into Underworld Drop.
    
    Oh, and he's immune to all known loops so you can't cheese him to death...
    
    He isn't all that bad actually, but it takes time to learn to anticipate his
    teleport projectiles and Flying Swallow and he's designed so that only the 2
    hardest weapons to use (Kusari-gama and Tonfa) are effective against him.
    
    With Kusari-gama the fight consists of waiting for a select few moves and then
    countering with Air TSS (always block on the way down!). These move are:
    
    - the grab
    - the dash attack
    - combo that ends in a flaming uppercut
    - combo that consists of a bunch of summersaults
    
    Only do it after these moves or he'll smack you with one of his many stupid
    cancels or teleports.
    
    Keep this up, but be careful once he gets to 50% health. At this moment his grab
    becomes wickedly fast, so it's best to take distance when he announces its
    coming.
    
    Not much more to say here. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to watch the videos for this
    guy!!!

    Fiend Genshin (Tonfa)

    Using the Tonfa means you'll be taking a different approach to this fight.
    
    The 2 combo's you'll be using are:
    
    >T, >T, >T, >T (100% safe if you're holding block after each T, lesser damage)
    >, >TT, dash T (chance of getting hit, greater damage)
    
    The different appraoch is that you'll be countering at the end of each single
    attack or combo he does!
    
    Hit him with >T and wait a tiny bit (hold block and dodge if needed!). If he's
    staggered you can choose 1 of the 2 ways to continue the combo. If he doesn't
    stagger, bait the next attack and try again.
    
    Not much more to say here. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to watch the videos for this

    There's a glitch in this stage that'll make the hardest boss in the game
    a piece of cake!
    
    Grab the Eclipse Scythe and get behind Genshin's corpse. Make sure that
    Liz is always on the other side of the corpse and blast her with UT's.
    The funny thing about this is that all of Liz's attacks will go through
    Genshin AND YOU AS WELL!
    
    The only exception is when she's in the air and she uses her air attacks.
    Dodge and wait for her to come down and then repeat the UT spam.

    Elizébeth Round 2 Alternative Strategy

    Now we're going to fight her head on without UT spam, glitches or whatever.
    Tonfa is once again your best friend!
    
    You'll quickly find out why she's considered the toughest boss of all...
    
    She has an extremely complicated attack pattern, because she's capable of
    cancelling EVERY move she has into something else. She can even cancel her
    cancel resulting in some terrifying attack combinations and impossible
    counters.
    Her combo attacks are also very fast and consist mostly of guardbreakers.
    
    But there's more!
    
    Several of her attacks are downright glitchy, she has a health drain and
    when you can attack her you'll find out she's the best dodger in the game
    and even has random I-frames that protect her from time to time....
    
    And yet there's more...
    
    She has 3 grabs, 2 of them are slow and very easy to dodge but the last
    one looks like she makes a grab towards your throat with her right hand.
    The speed of this grab is astounding and offcourse a OHKO.
    
    Now that I'm done making you scared let's move on to how to fight her shall we?
    
    Fighting her is done by playing very defensively, baiting an attack and then
    do >T (block!!!). If she staggers you can follow up with >TT. If she doesn't,
    holding
    block will enable you to dodge or guard whatever she throws at you.
    
    Now for her attacks:
    
    2-3 hit tail stab combo (guardbreaker): combo of 2 fast tail stabs. If the 2nd
    hit connect she'll automatically follow up with a 3rd one. Dash jump out of
    range as the strikes are weird in their timing in that they tend to hit you
    when you think you have block protection.
    
    After the 2nd hit she has a very small window of vulnerability for a quick hit.
    
    Slow tail stab (grab): easy to dodge, takes away 95% health if she gets you
    with it.
    
    2 hit punch combo: immediately dash out of range coz this one is nasty! If the
    2nd punch hits your guard, she will chain it into a grab which you can't dodge
    because you're still in guard stun!
    
    Claw combo (4th hit is unblockable): same property on the 2nd hit as the 2 hit
    punch combo. Quickly take some distance and dodge through the 4th hit and try
    >T.
    
    Grab #2: very quick grab performed with her right hand. Unblockable unless she
    does it as a counter after you attack. In that situation you can block it for
    some reason...
    
    Dash and Air Dash (guardbreaker, chip damage): her most prominent attack. Dodge
    it and try >T. This move is glitchy in that if you're backed against a wall and
    you block the air dash, the move actually becomes a double guardbreaker and
    you'll eat big damage.
    
    This glitch has killed me quite a lot on Ultimate Ninja 01...
    
    2 stab air combo: same as on the ground. Take distance!
    
    Dive Kick: rare move, is triggered if you're to close to her while she's in the
    air. Fast and hard to dodge!
    
    Bloody Daggers: her most dangerous move in that the daggers heal her if they
    hit you! Dodge it by dashing (hold block!) a couple of times. Near the end of
    the attack you can try a Flying Swallow. If she gets hit she will fall to ground
    opening her up to a quick >TT, dash away (safe), or a STSSS (more damage, risk
    of countergrabbing) after waiting a bit.
    
    Blood Portals: telegraphed by her raising her arm and shouting "HA!". 3 red
    portals will appear beneath you, which you can easily dodge by dash jumping
    around. If it hits, she'll teleport besides you and beat the living hell out
    of ya!
    
    This move also gives a chance for the Flying Swallow.
    
    Keep fighting her slow and steady like this, always playing defensive, and
    after quite some time she'll finally bite the dust!
    
    Pat yourself on the back if you did this without taking damage, not many people
    can do
    it!

    Tricky fella, thank god they didn't put him in Ultimate Ninja 01!
    
    Deal with the Van Gelfs first while dodging Dai's long range attacks. Void Ninpo
    is the most effective for this. Once that's done it's time to take Dai on.
    
    Charge an UT after he fires his laser in the air at the end of the laser pillar
    attack. Immediately release it if he does another attack and try again. Keep
    this up until he comes down.
    
    Release the UT when he tries to go for a close range attack for big free damage!
    Now he'll usually do a combo ending with him raising his sword in the air during
    your UT animation. This is the most annoying move in his repertoire as you'll be
    dodging lightning for quite some time.
    This is, however, his biggest weakness as well.
    
    Keep dash jumping in a wide circle until he's near the end of the attack (watch
    the video to see the precise timings for this, depending on how he attacks) and
    jump towards him! Do the BotA's Heavenly Sparrow combo followed by shurikens for
    a lot of safe damage.
    
    Deal with the Van Gelf reinforcements and continue fighting like this. Extra
    damage can be gained with 360T if he starts "floating" above you using his
    tentacles. 360T can also be used as an alternative defense if you don't have
    enough time to charge the UT.
    
    After not too long he will give up and sacrifice himself to resurrect the
    Archfiend.

    Archfiend

    Lame boss fight... Anyway!
    
    Shoot his head with arrows, this will cause the core to light up. Dash jump
    twice to dodge his blood spitting and hit the core with an arrow, dash jump
    twice etc.
    
    Shoot the head once more when the core dims to lit it up again. Use the BotA's
    360T to dodge his lasers.
    
    Repeat this on all floors until this time waster is death!

    True Archfiend

    Really cool design for this boss, definetly a more fitting final boss then Fiend
    Murai!
    
    He'll usually start with the laser attack. Dodge to the left side and get
    between the head and his right hand. Dodge when he moves the laser towards you
    (or don't, it usually misses you in that position...) and hit him with BotA's
    TTTT.
    
    Get in front of him! Now he'll do 2 things: he'll try to grab you multiple times
    or he'll start punching the ground with his fists, causing fire to erupt at your
    current position.
    
    Grabbing frenzy is the one you want as you can just dodge it and counter with
    TTTT each time. The punching madness is a bit trickier...
    
    Dodge in the opposite direction of him (not to the sides as his arms can limit
    your jumping, causing you to get hit by the flames) and move back towards him in
    a circle.
    For the rest he doesn't really do that much, unless he goes airborne!
    
    In the air he will try to hit you with fire balls or try to ram you, both of
    which can be easily dodged with dash jumping. Sometimes he will also charge the
    ground with electricity. Wait a little bit and then jump! Use S and shuriken to
    keep you suspended in mid-air to dodge the discharge.
    
    He has one weakness (he doesn't do it in the video unfortunately...) during this
    part where he'll just start walking on the battle field. Free combo's right
    there!
    
    Keep this up until he falls down. Hit T and enjoy that sexy Obliteration!

    appearing after beating an enemy wave.
    
    While you can still pick whatever you like and go nuts on the enemies, picking
    the right weapons and characters will make things go more smoothly.
    
    So starting from here there'll be character/weapon recommendations for each of
    the missions.

    The Buddha Statue is back for a rematch and he's brought some friends!
    
    First part is pretty much the same as Acolyte 01 but in a smaller arena and no
    archers, beat the ninja's and then he'll appear.
    
    Split up and take down the hands. Since the statue can only attack with one
    arm at the same time, whoever isn't being attacked can wail on the inactive
    arm for free. The other player can score some hits during attacks if he gets
    the chance, otherwise it's fine to just act as a decoy. The Buddha Statue
    doesn't have much health anyway.
    
    Once one hand is down, focus on the other one together and it should fall
    quickly as well. Take down the head and this easy mission is done.

    Kill the fiends with the usual UT and machine gun spam or whatever and the

    Split up and take down the hands. Since the statue can only attack with one
    arm at the same time, whoever isn't being attacked can wail on the inactive
    arm for free. Once one hand is down, focus on the other one together and it
    should fall quickly as well.
    
    Be careful when she's near 50% health because she'll add the lightning orbs to
    her attacks. Take the 2nd hand down quickly.
    
    Once the 2nd hand is down it's time for Rachel to retreat to the far right
    corner where she'll be safe from attacks to shoot the statue. In the meantime
    the other player will act as a decoy up close and can try to get some bullets
    or arrows in as well.
    
    Keep this up and she'll be down before you know it.

    once he falls down, you can hit him with a Void Ninpo for insane damage!
    You have to hit his glowing chest orb, or else it will be just normal Void
    damage.
    This is easiest when done from the front, so that nothing can get in the
    way of your shot.

    Here's where things are going to get a bit more interesting.
    
    Take the dragons out first with some arrows or a Team Ninpo and get started
    on the usual recipe for carnage. After awhile there'll be some more dragons
    so take 'em out with arrows or a Team Ninpo. Then it's time to take down
    that dragon!
    
    Attack the dragon from the side with the TTTT (BotA) and >TT, dash T/dash
    360T or SSTTT combo. Use the 360T moves to dodge his difficult attacks like
    the ground pound. Once he's at 40% health you can OT him to get rid of his
    tail. Now he'll enter his fire state and you'll need to shift to attacking
    him from behind.
    
    UT's are also a good method at this phase if he moves around too much to
    attack the backside.
    
    Keep it up till he's death.

    That's where Kusari-gama comes in. You see, the air TSS combo is actually
    one of the few combo's in the game capable of negating the mid-combo grab
    shenanigans displayed by her.
    
    Retaliate with it after dodging an attack or throw in some UT's if it's
    getting dangerous until she's dead.
    If she's knocked down, you can charge an UT and release it when she gets up.

    Dodge his attacks and wait for him to start spinning. Dodge this attack and
    he'll crash into the floor, giving you a chance for both of you to hit him
    with a quick SSTT followed by ST.
    
    You can also get in a quick S, S, T, T after dodging his pound.
    
    After around 20-25% damage the crab fiends will appear again, get rid of them
    first before they become an annoyance. Continue fighting Marbus like before
    and taking care of reinforcements as they appear until he dies.
    
    Oh, and be careful not to let essence float around. Marbus can absorb it and
    use it for an UT!
    
    Note: Marbus is vulnerable to gunfire, abuse this!

    Kill the regular and claw ninja's until it's boss time once more. This time
    it's the Tengu brothers looking for yet another rematch...
    
    The archers will keep respawning until the Tengu's are dead, so ignore them
    for now. Get the attention of one Tengu and lure him away while your partner
    does the same. Fight them while staying very close to the wall the archers are
    on so they can't hit you.
    
    The Tengu's have the same mid-combo shenanigans as Obaba, which they'll
    automatically do with any combo that's longer then 2 hits (it's very rare
    but they CAN grab you after a 2 hit combo...).
    This time you need to use the >TT, dash T combo for retaliation. The dash T
    part will help you dodge any incoming attacks or interrupt them. Use this
    alongside poking him once with >T after each ground pound and using S counter
    on the first hit of his combo's to take him down. If he uses The Art of the
    Wind Blades you must get some distance or use 360T until it's over.
    
    As a final warning, if he suddenly jumps back you need to chase him and hit
    him once or there's a big chance he'll activate a grab.
    
    Once they're near death you can start spamming Team Ninpo to finish them and
    the archers

    Lure one Rasetsu away from the other.
    
    Spam 360T nonstop until the Rasetsu is ripe for an UT while your partner does
    the same with the other. The 360T will interrupt anything Rasetsu does and also
    provides good protection against ninja interference.
    
    Use Team Ninpo to thin out the enemies as you see fit.
    
    Charge an UT once both Rasetsu and the ninja's are dead and unleash it when
    the next batch of enemies appear.
    
    Repeat the process for the 2nd wave of Rasetsu/ninja's.

    From here on out the difficulty will pick up quite a bit. Good weapon choices
    and teamwork will be important factors for success. Information for individual

    You'll be fighting multiple groups of enemies that consist of mages, normal
    ninja's, claw ninja's, archers and their Fiend versions later on.
    
    Phase 1
    
    Time to split up! Move up the stairs and take out those pesky archers while
    the other player fights on the ground floor. After that's done, join up on the
    ground and fight them using OLUT's, OT's and Izuna Drops.
    
    Be sure to take out the mages first whenever they appear, they can really mess
    up your combat if left unchecked.
    
    After awhile of ass kicking the Fiend versions will take over.
    Resume the fight and throw in a Team Ninpo if someone is getting low on
    health.

    Phase 2
    
    Unleash the UT and then drain all your Team Ninpo. Finish the few remaining
    enemies with the recommended attacks.

    the lamp post is between you and the boss and gun him to death!

    Split up and start taking down the ninja's on both sides of the waterway with
    the usual UT and Izuna Drop barrage. Rocket launcher ninja's are top priority
    as usual. After not too much time there'll be a pause and Fiend Genshin
    appears.
    
    Phase 2
    
    The other player must get some distance and keep the rocket launcher ninja's
    busy. Meanwhile the Tonfa player takes on Fiend Genshin. Dodge and
    block until he finishes a combo and retaliate with >T, >TT, dash T.
    
    The pause after the first >T is to check if he has entered a stun animation.
    If he does, finish the combo, if not than defend and wait for the next chance.
    Keep this up and soon enough he will fall.
    
    Use Team Ninpo if the rocket dudes are getting too annoying.
    
    Since this is still Mentor difficulty you can also just team up and go
    ompletely nuts on him!

    Van Gelfs will be swarming you in this phase. Take the ones on the ground out
    with UT's or the machine gun. The machine gun isn't that great in getting
    flying Van Gelfs down so just get close to them and they'll try to land on
    you. Dodge it and hit him with a SSTT combo. It will either kill or set him up
    for an OT. Keep this up until the bosses appear.
    
    Phase 3
    
    2 Blind Trolls this time...
    
    The Rachels must each lure a troll to one end of the arena, while blasting him
    with bullets. Run underneath him and start the usual beatdown while the other
    Rachel does the same.
    
    Kill the ninja's quickly with STT or SSTT combo's and resume the fight. Keep
    this up and the troll should die after awhile. Team up with the other player
    and take the last troll down.
    
    Use a Team Ninpo if someone is low on health and there are ninja's on the
    field.

    The training is over. This is where things will get very tough real soon, real
    fast!
    
    As a final addition, individual strategies will be given for each phase (if
    necessary), plus information on boss A.I. changes.
    This format will also be used for the Ultimate Ninja missions.

    Right off the bat you'll get to see why the Ninja Gaiden series is considered
    tough as nails. At least one BotA is needed for taking down Genshin.
    
    In this one you'll be fighting multiple waves of high class enemies that have
    OHKO grabs and 2 bosses, of which the last one has around 8-10 times more
    health than any other boss in the game, ouch!
    
    Phase 1
    
    Take down the various ninja's, prioritizing long range enemies, until this
    phase is over and the health chest appears.
    
    Phase 2
    
    Genshin = Secret Art #1-3.
    
    Phase 3
    
    Charge UT's right after opening the chest and unleash when the enemies appear.
    All the enemies are fiends with high health so go nuts with UT's.
    
    Phase 4
    
    Charge UT's again and unleash when they appear. Go nuts with UT's on the
    fiends but try to take the mages down first with Izuna Drops if you can. After
    2 waves are dead it's boss time again!
    
    Phase 5
    
    The Bone Fiend will be your opponent along with Red Gaja reinforcements.
    Charge an UT before they appear and try to take the 2 Gajas down with it. Once
    the Gajas are dead you'll be fighting big ol' bones here with his x10 health
    bar...
    
    No matter how good you are, the boss will outlast you in direct combat!
    
    The Ryu with the Lunar/BotA must get underneath the boss and continually charge
    and release UT's, or fight him regularly while the other Ryu stands back and
    fires the cannon at him. Keep this up, while reviving Lunar/BotA Ryu when
    necessary, until he falls down.
    
    Have the long range fighter aim a Void Ninpo at the glowing orb in his chest
    when he´s down for insane damage, while the other attacks with combos. This is
    easier done if you position yourself in front of him.
    
    Check "Bone Fiend Alternative Strategy" in the boss section to see this in
    action.
    
    Eventually the Ryu with the Lunar/BotA will get his health bar red for around
    70%. Now it's time to switch roles!
    
    When both players have around 70% red health it's time for both to take
    distance and blast the boss with the cannon.
    
    After what feels like an eternity the boss will finally die...

    A very fun mission but also very tough. While the BotA is a great choice I
    prefer the Tonfa for this one as it'll make phase 2 a lot easier.
    
    Phase 1
    
    Do 2 Team Ninpo's right away to get rid of the pesky dragons. Separate the 2
    Rasetsu and fight them using >T, T (Ryu) and SSTT (Rachel). Taking them down
    should be easy for you at this point.
    
    Phase 2
    
    Ryu 1: after opening the chest, go left immediately and charge an ET/UT. Unleash
    it on the machine fiends when they appear and use the essence they drop to
    keep the ET/UT chain going.
    
    Ryu 2: after opening the chest, go right immediately and charge an ET/UT.
    Unleash it on the machine fiends and take 'em out with SSTT combo's and OT's.
    
    This chest will give you 6 red orbs. Try to split them between the 2 players
    to get 3 Team Ninpo's.
    
    Phase 3
    
    Oh look! A new enemy type that only appears in this part of the game! When
    you're done looking at them you can blast them with a Team Ninpo.
    
    Phase 4
    
    Ryu 1: after opening the chest, go to the right (dragon's left side) of where
    he'll appear and charge an UT. Unleash it. Soon enough the dragon will enter
    his fire state making it near impossible to attack from any side.
    
    Keep spamming UT's and using the 360T to dodge the difficult attacks until the
    dragon is ripe for an OT. After losing its tail you can use normal combo's
    from behind but it's best to stick with UT's for safety.
    
    Use a Team Ninpo if someone is low on health (make sure the bugs are on the
    field) or if you want to speed up the dragon slaying.
    
    Ryu 2: after opening the chest, go to the left (dragon's right side) of where
    he'll appear and charge an UT. Unleash it. Soon enough the dragon will enter
    his fire state making it near impossible to attack from any side.
    
    Try to keep the bugs of the other guy with UT's or combo's.
    
    You can also help with the dragon slaying by using UT's whenever there are no
    bugs on the field or when there's an opening.
    
    Charge the dragon when he loses his tail and hit him from behind with the
    combo's and UT's to quickly take down the dragon. The bugs can be
    ignored at this point.
    
    Use a Team Ninpo if someone is low on health (make sure the bugs are on the
    field) or if you want to speed up the dragon slaying.

    Boss A.I. changes: Volf abuses his counter move like there's no tomorrow!
    
    You might be thinking: "why the hell pick the Tonfa?! Ain't the BotA better
    for this?"
    
    Yes, the BotA is technically a better choice because of its power but it will
    make the final battle against Fiend Genshin a lot harder. The Tonfa is the
    best weapon for that fight and although it's not as powerful as the BotA it
    can also dispatch the Greater Fiends with relative ease.
    
    The Rachel player can't help during phases 1-3 and 5, except be on revive
    duty...
    
    Note: Rachel can actually be useful for phases 2 and 3. See the 2 phases
    below for more information.
    
    Phase 1
    
    Retaliate after dodging Alexei's 3-hit combo or grab with a >TT, dash T or
    >TT, dash S, T combo. The first one is preferred as it does a bit more damage.
    
    Always stay close to him and he'll usually just do his 3-hit combo over and
    over again. If he does his electric pound, dodge it and hit him with >T to
    make sure he stays on the ground.
    
    Once he's dead, take a little breather and then open the chest. Divide the
    health orbs. Prepare an UT.
    
    Phase 2
    
    Unleash the UT for some free damage if it connects. Then you must retaliate
    Volf's combo's with the >TT, dash 360T combo, it's the most effective combo
    against Volf. Also, use 360T at the start of his slow start-up combo's for
    free damage.
    
    He will very often break your attacks with his counter move. Dodge and block
    till he's finished and try again. Eventually he will fall...
    
    Take a little breather again and then open the chest. Divide the health orbs
    and have both players charge an UT.
    
    Alternative strategy for phase 2 contributed by DaftMANIA:
    
    Rachel must have a charged UT ready at all times! As soon as Volf does one of
    his 2 long combo's, unleash! If you do it too late, he'll target Rachel
    afterwards. Ryu must hit him once or twice if that happens.
    
    Since Volf spams his counter combo you can get in a lot of UT's and speed up
    the killing process significantly this way.
    
    2nd alternative strategy for phase 2 contributed by bigmau89:
    
    If player 2 is also a Ryu with the Tonfa, you can lock Volf in a nonstop
    string of UT's. The Tonfa UT is long enough for the other player to quickly
    recharge his UT and hit Volf just before the other UT ends.
    
    Phase 3
    
    Zedonius will immediately take off into the air. You can try to stop this by
    hitting him with an UT. If this doesn't work, wait for a little bit and use
    360T to dodge his fire pound. If he's aiming for Rachel go after him, wait for
    him to finish a combo or attack and hit him with >TT, dash S, T. His attention
    will be on you again.
    
    You can hit him with the combo after his grab or the laser. If he does the
    laser, dodge to the side and hit him with a >TT first and then the full combo
    for extra damage when he's shutting down the laser. Hit him with >T after
    dodging a physical combo to ensure he stays on the ground, but be on your
    toes as he can cancel his combo's into a grab.
    
    You can't interrupt his fire balls with a Flying Swallow of the Tonfa so use a
    Ninpo to defend yourself.
    
    Once he's dead take a good breather and then open the chest. Divide the health
    orbs.
    
    Alternative strategy for phase 3 contributed by DaftMANIA:
    
    Have Rachel stay close behind Zedonius. When he does his laser, both can hit
    him with a full combo (SSTT for Rachel) before he stops the laser.
    
    Do NOT hit him once he stops the laser! If you've done more then 3 hits
    during the laser part and then try to hit him when he can be staggered, his
    A.I. will go completely nuts!
    
    2nd alternative strategy for phase 3 contributed by bigmau89:
    
    If player 2 is also a Ryu with the Tonfa, you can lock Zedonius in a nonstop
    string of UT's. The Tonfa UT is long enough for the other player to quickly
    recharge his UT and hit Zedonius just before the other UT ends.
    
    Phase 4
    
    Ryu: it's your job to sneak up on Elizébeth and hit her with the final hit of
    the >TT, dash T combo while she's walking towards Rachel. If you're close by
    and she does her 4-hit claw combo you can get some hits for free from behind.
    
    Once you get her attention you must keep some distance and dodge her attacks
    until your partner has gotten her attention again. Then repeat the above
    process until she's dead.
    
    Rachel: get some distance and charge an UT, release as soon as she attacks to
    protect yourself with I-frames and hurt her in the process. Throw in any Team
    Ninpo's you've got left to speed things up, but only if she's walking on the
    ground or it will miss.
    
    When your partner has gotten her attention, you can safely charge a full UT
    and release it to get her attention back. Repeat the process until she's dead.
    
    Alternative strategy for phase 4 contributed by Kuro-puppy:
    
    If you have practised it, it's possible to fight Elizébeth one-on-one by
    using >TT, dash.

    Phase 5
    
    Dodge and block until he finishes a combo and retaliate with >T, >TT, dash T.
    
    The pause after the first >T is to check if he has entered a stun animation.
    If he does, finish the combo, if not than defend and wait for the next chance.
    Keep this up and soon enough he will fall.
    
    Note: be wary of Fiend Genshin's grab once he gets to 50% health. The grab
    will become a lot faster from that point on.

    Ah! Here's one of the more fun missions in the game. So many fiends to kill,
    so little time!
    
    Charge an UT at the end of each phase for free damage! Also, use a Team Ninpo
    whenever someone is low on health! Try to save a Team Ninpo for phase 8.
    
    Phase 1
    
    Blast everything with UT's and gunfire.
    
    Phase 2
    
    Focus on the Van Gelfs and take 'em down quick! Clean up after that.
    
    Phase 3
    
    Take the rocket launchers out first with gunfire. UT's and gunfire will
    destroy the Gajas with ease.
    
    Phase 4
    
    Destroy the rocket launchers first again. The few Red Gajas are just cannon
    fodder.
    
    Phase 5
    
    Red Gajas and Werewolves. Go Call of Duty on them!
    
    Phase 6
    
    A LOT of rocket launchers and some big machine fiends. You won't be able to
    shoot everything fast enough so move around while taking shots when possible
    until only the machine fiends are left.
    Take those guys out with a good SSTT combo, OT's and gunfire.
    
    Using a Team Ninpo in this phase might be wise to prevent getting hit a lot.
    
    Phase 7
    
    Gold Van Gelfs, Werewolves and those machine gun fiends. Try to keep them at
    bay with gunfire and switch to SSTT combo's, OT's and UT's for close range
    combat.
    
    Keep moving around to avoid those fire balls and grabs!
    
    Quickly move away from the back if there's only a few enemies left. You do
    NOT want to be there when phase 8 starts!
    
    Phase 8
    
    A whole bunch of ninja dogs will charge at your position. Have one Rachel take
    centre who will blast them with UT's while the other will provide cover fire
    from the rear.
    
    Eventually you'll be overrun, use a Team Ninpo if you have one left or deal
    with them by jump firing the entire time.
    
    Phase 9
    
    The final phase is an easy one. Bring the rain!

    Get some distance and charge an UT, release as soon as she attacks to protect
    yourself with I-frames and hurt her in the process. Thrown in some Team
    Ninpo's to speed things up, but only if she's walking on the ground or it will
    miss.
    
    When your partner has gotten her attention, you can safely charge a full UT
    and release it to get her attention back. Repeat the process until she's dead.
    
    Ryu: run to the right and flank Genshin with the Lunar Loop (check Secret Art
    #1). Soon enough he will die.
    
    Now it's your job to sneak up on Elizebeth and hit her with the final hit of
    the SST combo while she's walking towards Rachel. If you're close by and she
    does her 4-hit claw combo you can get in a full SST combo for free from
    behind.
    
    Once you get her attention you must keep some distance and dodge her attacks
    until your partner has gotten her attention again. Then repeat the process
    until she's dead.

    Welcome to your worst nightmare!!!
    
    While the last 3 missions aren't that bad, the first 2 are so freakin' hard
    that you'll need many weeks/months of practise and tactical research to beat
    them.
    
    So that leaves the question: are you strong enough? Hero enough? MAN enough to
    take on the 2 fiercest missions in the galaxy?!
    
    Yes? Then let's go!

    Ultimate Ninja 01
    ----------------------------------------------
    Player 1 (host)
    Character: 	Ryu

    Boss A.I. changes: Volf can no longer counter your combo's, Elizebeth is a lot
    more aggressive and better at dodging and Alexei uses his vortex attack to
    frequently switch between players.
    
    In this one you'll be fighting Volf, Alexei and Elizebeth at the same time,
    followed by Zedonius once 2 of them die. Yeah, it's nuts...
    
    Phase 1
    
    Ryu: Volf will do 1 of 2 things: UT or jumping attack. If he does the UT you
    must run to him and use Secret Art #5. You can get his health down by 50% with
    this. Fight him using 360T and the TTTT combo after that.
    If he does the jumping attack, dodge to the right and hit him with the combo.
    
    Always try to push Volf to the left of the arena, away from the others. If you
    ever hear Alexei start his vortex, STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND USE 360T!!!
    
    Alexei just LOVES to interfere with your battle with this so listen well.
    Defend yourself with dodges and 360T's until Alexei leaves.
    
    Once Volf dies it's time to get to the exact opposite place of where Rachel is
    keeping the others busy. If you're far enough away your health bar will
    regenerate, use this trick when necessary.
    
    Alexei will soon enough come to you using the vortex or the dive grab. Use
    360T or a good dodge when you see him coming. Once he's in your face he'll do
    2 things: try to get you with close range dive grabs (use 360T) or he'll turn
    around and starts throwing lightning orbs. If he does the latter hit him with
    360T x2 to get his attention.
    
    Dodge his 3-hit combo and retaliate with a good TTTT combo. Hit him once after
    dodging his electric pound to keep him grounded. He won't take long to beat,
    but always turn the camera around while using TTTT to keep an eye on
    Elizebeth.
    She has a habit of doing a multi dash towards you and leaving again during
    this part of the mission, that's why.
    
    Note: if you die against Volf you must retreat after the revive and wait for
    Alexei. Kill him and wait for a good chance to hit and lure Volf away.
    
    Note: if Rachel dies, have her start a Team Ninpo to get the bosses focussed
    on her.
    
    With that done, retreat to the far back (near the starting point) and wait.
    
    Rachel: go to the right end of the arena immediately and start using Secret
    Art #20. The left/right twirl is the best one to use as you can stay very
    close to the wall like this and keep the interference for Ryu to a minimum.
    
    It's also recommended because you can move around while using this twirl,
    which you'll need for when Zedonius appears.
    
    Keep the twirl going until Volf and Alexei are dead. Move yourself to the
    front of the arena (near Sonia's cage) and keep the twirl going.
    
    Note: if you die, start a Team Ninpo to regain their attention.
    
    Note: if Ryu ever starts a Ninpo in this mission when there's more than one
    Greater Fiend around, DON'T DO A TEAM NINPO!!!
    
    Note: Rachel can control Alexei's vortex move by taking some distance during
    Alexei's start-up animation. This will make sure that Ryu isn't targeted by
    it.

    Phase 2
    
    Ryu: use the right analog stick to move the camera up and see what Zedonius is
    doing. He'll most likely target Rachel, if not use a 360T or Ninpo to protect
    yourself.
    If he targeted Rachel as was planned, it'll be time for you to wait for a good
    moment to strike him and lure him away from Elizebeth.
    
    Fight him with the regular TTTT combo. Only use the combo after dodging his
    grab or the laser. If he uses the laser you can dodge to the side and get in 3
    T hits first before doing a full TTTT combo for extra damage.
    Hit him once after one of his combos to keep him grounded and use Wind Path
    into Flying Swallow to negate his fire balls.
    
    Once he's dead it's time to spam Elizebeth to death once again.
    
    Sneak up on Elizebeth and hit her with the final 2 hits of the TTTT combo
    while she's walking towards Rachel. If you're close by and she does her 4-hit
    claw combo you can get in a full TTTT combo for free from behind.
    
    Once you get her attention you must keep some distance and dodge her attacks
    until your partner has gotten her attention again. Then repeat the process.
    
    Rachel: keep on twirling till Zedonius appears. Once he's on the ground you
    need to move away from him and lure Elizebeth with you. Ryu can now take care
    of him. Once that's done it's UT spam time!
    
    Get some distance and charge an UT, release as soon as she attacks to protect
    yourself with I-frames and hurt her in the process. Thrown in some Team
    Ninpo's to speed things up, but only if she's walking on the ground or it will
    miss.
    
    When your partner has gotten her attention, you can safely charge a full UT
    and release it to get her attention back. Repeat.

    I freakin hate this mission! However, this also happens to be the mission I'm
    most skilled at...ironic eh?
    
    Note: at the end of the description is an alternative method that utilizes a
    glitch, making this mission a joke. If you don't feel like playing it fair,
    you can go ahead and use that strategy...
    
    This mission can be done with either the Tonfa or the Kusari-gama, both have
    pro's and con's in this missions so pick whatever works best for you. I prefer
    the Kusari-gama for this one tough, it gets the job done faster.
    
    The first 3 phases serve no other purpose than to wear the players down before
    the real fight against the 3 Fiend Genshins begins...
    
    Phase 1
    
    Ryu (Tonfa): move towards Rasetsu, hit him once if he's not going after you.
    Fight him using >TT and UT's and stay close to the left wall.
    
    Ryu (Kusari-gama): move towards Rasetsu, hit him once if he's not going after
    you. Fight him using 360TTT and UT's and stay close the left wall.
    
    Rachel: kill the archers with gunfire. Don't interfere with the Rasetsu fight
    unless you need to revive.
    
    Phase 2
    
    Ryu (Tonfa): do a Team Ninpo! S counter the first hit of the Tengu's combo,
    hit him with >TT, dash T (whiff the first hit) when he gets hit by Rachel's UT
    and poke him once with >T after a ground pound.
    
    Hit him once if he hops away from you. If he uses The Art of the Wind Blades
    you must get some distance until it's over.
    
    Ryu (Kusari-gama): do a Team Ninpo! T counter the first hit of the Tengu's
    combo, hit him with running T when he gets hit by Rachel's UT and poke him
    once with >S after a ground pound.
    
    Hit him once if he hops away from you. If he uses The Art of the Wind Blades
    you must get some distance until it's over.
    
    Note: don't fight the Tengu with Kusari-gama like I did in the video, stick to
    the above strategy. Got very lucky that he didn't grab me...
    
    Rachel: do a Team Ninpo! Charge UT's and try to hit the Tengu when he finishes
    a combo, grab or pound.
    
    Phase 3
    
    Ryu (Tonfa): do a Team Ninpo! Fight her using >TT. If she keels over, charge
    an UT to avoid her wake-up grab. Use an ET to dodge her Ninpo. Run to the big
    black door across the arena when she dies and prepare yourself for a long and
    tough fight.
    
    Ryu (Kusari-gama): do a Team Ninpo! Fight her using Air TSS or 360TT. They're
    the only 2 combo's that won't get you grabbed! If she keels over, charge an UT
    to avoid her wake-up grab. Use an ET to dodge her Ninpo. Run to the big blue
    door close to where you started the mission when she dies and prepare yourself
    for a long and tough fight.
    
    Rachel: support Ryu with UT's. Try to make sure you don't hit Obaba during one
    of Ryu's combo's but only when she is attacking Ryu. Get to the centre of the
    arena once she dies and start the twirl (left/right twirl preferred).
    
    Note: instead of starting the Obaba fight with a Team Ninpo, save it. Have
    Rachel take care of the ninja archers while Ryu takes on Obaba. When she's
    almost dead, use the Team Ninpo to finish her off.
    
    Most of the times, the 3 Fiend Genshins also lose a part of their health,
    giving you a small headstart on them.
    
    Phase 4
    
    Ryu (Tonfa): one of the 3 Fiend Genshins will drop near your position. Fight
    him like before but use >T, >T, >T, >T, 360T this time. The dash combo is too
    risky as he can counter you now if you don't perform it with frame precision.
    
    After a few minutes of fighting he'll be dead and it's time to get the 2nd
    ones attention.
    Get near the 2 Fiend Genshins and charge an UT. Release it when one comes in
    range, or when one uses the fire wave (the I-frames will protect you).
    Once you hit 1 one of them, you need to lure him away and fight him. Don't
    worry about it if you happen to get both their attention,. Rachel will help
    you out if that happens.
    
    Kill the 2nd Fiend Genshin, attack the 3rd one to get his attention and kill
    him!
    
    Note: be wary of Fiend Genshin's grab once he gets to 50% health. The grab
    will become a lot faster from that point on.
    
    Ryu (Kusari-gama):
    
    All 3 of them will be trying to hit Rachel. You're going to abuse this fact.
    
    Get yourself positioned with a good amount of distance from the fight. Run
    towards them and use the running T attack to hit them from far away.
    Make sure that you hit them with the attack while they're attacking Rachel or
    you might end up running straight into a fire pound...
    
    Take distance again and repeat this until you get the attention of one of
    them. Now fight him using Air TSS. You can only do this after certain attacks
    or you'll risk getting countered. These attacks are:
    
    - Combo that ends in a flame uppercut
    - Flaming sword charge
    - Both grabs
    - All aerial attacks
    - Fire wave attack
    
    Kill him and use the running T strategy again until you get the attention
    of the 2nd one. Lure him away and kill him. Then hit the last to get his
    attention and kill him!
    
    Note: be wary of Fiend Genshin's grab once he gets to 50% health. The grab
    will become a lot faster from that point on.
    
    Rachel: keep twirling in the centre of the arena, reposition yourself if you
    get to close to the walls or your twirl will break. Keep this up until all
    Fiend Genshins are dead.
    
    If Ryu is using the Tonfa you'll need to keep an eye out when he attacks the
    2nd Fiend Genshin. If he gets both of their attention you'll need to attack
    one to get the his attention back and start twirling again.
    
    Note: once Ryu is fighting the 2nd one, you can take care of the last one by
    twirling/dodging until he finishes an attack. Charge an UT and release as soon
    as he attacks, repeat this until he's death.
    
    If you're confident in your skills in taking Fiend Genshin out this way, then
    by all means go for it! It will only make things easier for Ryu.

    Alternative strategy contributed by YermomHoudini:
    
    - Ryu runs left, wait for rasetsu's 1st move, and kill him wit the 360T loop
    
    - Ryu and Rachel are interchangeable for the glitch as both have the shockwave
      UT
    
    - Rasetsu can also be fought differently:
    
    Rasetsu is really weak after 4 hit combo, shooting projectiles, or recovering
    health.
    For Rachel, you can do SSTT or SSST land T on him and for Momiji, you can do
    TTT or
    STSSSS on him, both of these are guaranteed to hit.
    
    However, after Rasetsu does dash or grab, the attack is not guaranteed to stun.
    In
    this case Rachel should only do a 3 combo like SSS or SST and Momiji should keep
    pushing with >S or SS>S. Countering Rasetsu's combo's is also an option.
    
    After this it's time to activate the glitch!
    
    - For the jump, it's same as in the video, double jump head-on towards the
    corner-most pillars and wall-run UP until she stops. As soon as she stops
    running
      up and is about to fall back down do SSXT
    
    - The locations for UT must be approximately same as in the video, or you will
      eat random projectiles or obaba will disappear or jump into your face
    
    - Always back off after every few UT's because if UT guy crosses the edge into
      inner stage, team ninpo is the only way to get him back in. Also, Rachel's
      UT moves her towards enemy closer than ryu's UT, so you have to move back
      more often.
    
    - Momiji's blocking in front of the UT player prevents the UT player from
      moving too far after each UT.
    
    - Be patient, Fiend Genshin teleports A LOT when you attack, and this part will
      most likely take you at least 20 minutes to finish, but this is still WAY
      EASIER than being a twirling rachel because your hands don't get tired. You
      can also move away from the Genshins to recover your health.

    This mission can only be won by using a glitch. Check the video to see it in

    Phase 1
    
    Ryu: do a Team Ninpo! Take down one of the Buddha Statues, should be easy for
    you at this point. Help the other player if he hasn't finished yet. Position
    yourself in the right corner of where the right statue (right statue from
    where you started the mission) was.
    
    Rachel: do a Team Ninpo! Take down one of the Buddha Statues, should be easy
    for you at this point. Help the other player if he hasn't finished yet. Once
    they're finished you need to go to the opposite side of the arena of where Ryu
    is and start twirling (any twirl is fine).
    
    Phase 2
    
    Ryu: your position will cause the Statue of Liberty to spawn focussed on your
    current position. Run underneath her arms to the other corner and start
    blasting Rachel's statue with the cannon.
    
    The statue near you won't be able to hit you, except with lightning pits. It
    doesn't matter if you die tough, because you'll get revived and both statues
    will be after the twirling Rachel instead (death is a good thing in this
    mission).
    
    Once Rachel's statue is dead you can start blasting your own statue. If you
    died before and take down one arm she'll probably target you again. Keep
    blasting until you get killed again. Now you can take some distance and keep
    shooting while Rachel twirls in front of the boss.
    
    Rachel: keep twirling until your statue is dead. Revive Ryu when he dies and
    then return to your position.
    
    Get in front of the 2nd statue after the 1st one dies and start twirling again
    until Ryu kills it.

    This is more like it! A tricky one if you don't know how to, but that's where
    this faq is for. Let's bring this final mission down!!!
    
    Phase 1
    
    Rachel (player 1): wait a bit for player 2 to get their attention. Get a good
    amount of distance and keep blasting them with UT's.
    
    Rachel (player 2): go towards them to get all 3 of them after you. Start
    twirling (any twirl is fine) and keep doing this until the Fiend Ryu's are
    dead.
    
    Phase 2
    
    Rachel (player 1): keep blasting!
    
    Rachel (player 2): keep twirling!
