"Good game, very fun"
This game was surrounded by a lot of hype. So does it live up to its high expectations?
The controls are standard call of duty. For those of you who do not know, that is R1 to shoot, L1 to aim just like almost all First Person Shooters. A big part of this game is, of course, multiplayer. There is a new element in this COD that adds a lot more depth. They are called COD points. You use them to buy weapons, perks etc. You get them by winning matches and Wager Matches. In Wager Matches, you pay COD points to get in and you play one of four really interesting game modes. They are: one in the chamber, sticks and stones, gun game and sharpshooter. They all have their own unique rules. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place get more COD points, while the other three get nothing. This makes the game more intense and fun. However the campaign is great too. Double the length of Modern Warfare 2, you get to use many different vehicles and weapons. The last mode is zombie mode. This fun and bloody mode returns from World at War. It is 2-4 player co-op and it requires a lot of teamwork, which other Call Of Duty games failed to deliver.
Black Ops is a sequel to Treyarch's previous call of duty, World at War. At the beginning of the game, you will be wondering what is going on, but you will understand later. It is told in an interesting but unoriginal way. Basically, there is this faceless interrogator guy who asks you a bunch of stuff and you play through Mason's(the main character's) memories. But throughout the storyline, you occasionally play as other people, such as Viktor Reznov and Hudson.
Not much to say here. This game has some beautiful visuals. Most of the environments are very detailed and they frequently change. One level you will be in a jungle, the next in the snow. This game had good graphics but still not as good as uncharted 2.
Although the campaign was only ten hours, you could play multiplayer forever, because the COD points made it so addicting. You might also want to play the campaign again on a higher difficulty, adding another 10 hours or so.
This game is great and totally worth 60 bucks. It is very fun with addicting multiplayer and an intense campaign. It is undoubtedly one of the best games in the Call of Duty series so far.
