 To navigate much easier through this guide, I added the search system, which
works just by following these simple steps:

- Highlight the "Section Code" of the section which you wish to go and copy it
  (CTRL+C).

- Press CTRL+F to bring up the search sub-menu.

 How's it going y'all??? vinheim here and I'm proud to present to you guys our
guide for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Since you might already know, I wrote
for the Demo of the game back when it came out. I've been itching to play and
write for the game, but sadly in the country I'm living in, it's either TOO
expensive or its out of stock when its cheap.

 Thankfully, my co-writer here, Mune... I mean Greg 'Bkstunt' bought me the
game over there in the US and sent it to me :D. We met a couple years back here
in GameFAQs and we're like brothers now ^_^ (isn't that right Greg? :). This is
my second complete co-written guide and it's once again written with Bkstunt.

 150 years in the future, war and destruction have left the world in ruins with
few humans remaining and nature having reclaimed the world. Mysterious slave
ships harvest the dwindling population and take them out west, never to return.

 Trip, a technologically savvy young woman has been imprisoned by a slave ship
but manages to escape using her mental prowess. Monkey, a strong, brutish loner
and fellow prisoner also gets free by virtue of his raw power and brawn. Trip
quickly realizes that Monkey is her ticket to freedom and is her only hope to
survive her perilous journey back home. She hacks a slave headband and fits it
on Monkey, linking them together. If she dies, he dies and her journey has now
become his.

 A list of the main characters in the game. They were all beautifully designed,
even Pigsy :P. Yeah, this is one of the highlights of the game, in my humble
opinion that is [vinheim].


   ~-~  MONKEY  ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

  A fierce loner, Monkey is not the kind of guy you want to get in a fight
with. He's spent his whole life surviving alone in the wilderness using his
bare hands. And while he avoids people and conflict, he can be brutal if pushed
into a corner. Monkey is also incredibly agile and resourceful. He's a martial
arts expert and a demon climber who knows how to ambush the biggest and the
baddest of robot enemies.

 As Monkey is forced into a reluctant partnership with Trip, their relationship
grows increasingly complex. He learns to rely on Trip, but he also teaches her
confidence and strategy. She, in turn, shows Monkey how to trust and be a team
player. Although they are constantly at each other's throats, together, Trip
and Monkey make a colorful pair.

   ~-~  TRIP  ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

 While Monkey is all street smarts and raw power, 19-year-old Trip hails from
more civilized roots. She comes from a wind farming community, a future-day
hippie commune of sorts. These people are also experts at reprogramming old
technology, and Trip is no exception. Still, she needs a bodyguard. She knows
Monkey's brute strength and combat skills are her ticket to freedom, so she
hacks into a slave headband and places it on Monkey's head, forcing him to
escort her back home or suffer a painful death.

 But this young beauty is far from dead weight. Trip uses her dragonfly camera
to scan for deadly mechs and weaknesses so Monkey can take them down. With her
intel and tech smarts, she can open doors, solve puzzles, distract enemies and
more.

   ~-~  PIGSY  ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

 Pigsy is half the size of Monkey and has a broad, flat upturned nose which
makes him look amazingly like... a pig. He loves the ladies, as is evident from
his various tattoos including hot pin-up girls and "sexy" written across his
knuckles.

 He may have a blustery, gruff exterior and packs a mean bazooka, but hes also
loyal and surprisingly resourceful. Pigsy has a strong connection to Trip's
past and will be an important ally in Monkey and Trip's journey west.

 This is how it works:

- Masks: We'll be writing down the number of masks obtained per Chapter, and
         a brief location (place AND time during the Chapter) so you can get
         'em all.

- Tech Orbs: You'll find out what these are in-game, but just so you know,
             there's a TON of 'em laying around. We'll write down the max
             amount you can get from each Chapter during the walkthrough, but
             note that these can vary wildly (mostly depending on how many
             enemies you get to.
             
             The game judges orbs by a % count and while we wrote this guide
             we obtained 100% on each chapter. We don't point out EVERY SINGLE
             ORB, but we do list where ALL the tricky ones are and, at times,
             go VERY in-depth on what YOU need to do to get them all (such as
             during chase sequences, where getting all the orbs is by far the
             most challenging part of the game). If you follow the guide and
             do some basic exploration on your own (for the obvious orbs) we
             have no doubt you can get 100% as well.

From the main menu, you'll have 4 options. Click options if you want and change

 We start in a ship, still confused at what's going on. We see a red haired
chick named Trip break out of her little cell and hijacking the system causing
overheating. This makes your cell break open. This is where we get the control
of Monkey. Don't stand on the fire or it'll burn you, causing damage of course.

 Proceed forward and you'll be told how to jump. Jump across and proceed to the
next room. Are you digging this game? Not yet? Well, in a little bit, you'll be
impressed. In here, watch how the Slave dies and now you're told how to jump
over obstacles. Jump over some more gaps and you'll fall down to the lower
floor.

 Jump up the crates next to you and proceed to the next room. In here, you see
how the cells start falling apart and Trip makes a run for her life. Jump over
the gap, jump over the next one and also get on the next room. In this next
room, you'll be told how to run over beams and pipes that are around. Run on
the pipe (don't worry, you can't fall), jump to the next one, climb over the
obstacle, jump over the other pipes to cross the gaps and proceed to the next
room.

 Another scene triggers here. Run forward and the path explodes right in front
of you. Drop down and run forward to trigger a little scene in which the ship
starts falling apart. From here, we start climbing our way out of here. Look
for shiny objects while climbing to climb on it. So from here, climb to the
beam to the right and up twice to get back on the floor.

 Now jump up on the next beam to your left twice and to the right twice to get
on the upper path. Jump across the gap, go forward and you'll hear that your
method of escaping is an escape pod. Go forward, jump on the pipe to the right,
press O to drop down and beware of a glitch here.

o---  G L I T C H   T R I G G E R S  -----------------------------------------o

|  A really funny glitch sometimes happens here, in which Monkey falls from   |
| the pipe on the left and start falling. You can actually see how you start  |
| getting closer to the ground, but you stay there in an endless loop,        |
| falling into nothingness. If this ever happens to you, press Start and      |
| select Restart from Last Checkpoint.                                        |

 Anyway, move on the pipe to the left, jump over to the next one and then jump
to the pipe on the wall. Climb it and enter the next room. In here, run towards
the Slaves in the distance and a little scene triggers. Now jump on the pipe on
the wall and speak to the Slave here to find out a little bit more about them.
Simply put, they're Huls (humans) and if they help any Hul, they die.

 Jump on the pipe to the left after the scene, go down and go to the end of the
hall to get back your weapon. Now climb back up the pipe, drop down the first
one and when in front of the Mech, you'll be told that your shield can repel
bullets for a short time. Use this to run towards it and beat the crap out of
it. Press [] to unleash a normal melee attack and press /\ to unleash a
powerful (heavy) attack.

 Enter the next room and you'll be in the Combat Mech Hangar. Thankfully,
they're not active... dammit. Destroy this first one and then you'll be taught
how to block. With the next Mech, you'll be taught how to evade. Afterwards,
you have to destroy 2 more Mechs. Now proceed to the next room, which is also a
Combat Mech Hangar.

 You'll be taught how to do a Wide Attack with the first 2 Mechs, so do it.
With the next Mech, you'll be taught how to perform a Stun Charge Attack. Now
proceed to the next room, which is a small outside corridor that leads to the
next part of the ship, but thanks to Trip, we can't go in. Just like Monkey
says: "You mother..." XD.

 Now, start to climb on the outside of the ship. Great. Jump over the pipe and
start using the red objects to continue on and make way to the wing of the
ship. Drop down from the red object and start running to the outside of the
wing, while jumping across the gaps, of course. Run across the pipe at the end
over to the next wing and as you move inwards, some friendly Mechs come out to
play.

 Use what you learnt to get rid of them. Now move inwards, move on the wing
after the one the Mechs came out from, jump on the red object on the wall and
jump across the red objects and the pipes until you reach the left side of the
ship (note that you'll have to drop down onto a red pipe a couple of times as
you go). You'll see that the engine is creating fire every now and then. Right
after it shuts down, quickly jump over the gaps to make is to "safety" (You DO
NOT die instantly from it, but it still damages you and WILL kill you if you
stay in it long enough).

 When you get to the other side, jump forward to the next wing to trigger a
little scene in which you crash with the Statue of Liberty. Jump on the next
wing, go inward and press O to open the door. Good job, you just made things
WAY worse... We now need to climb up the wing as fast as possible before
crashing with the huge building.

 Quickly look for the shiny climbable objects to get on top (Up, Left, Up, Up,
Up!). After it crashes and a part of the wing is left behind, keep on climbing
as fast as possible because the rest of the wing is still falling apart (Up,
Left, Up+Left, Up, Up, Up!). Once on top, climb up the pipe and head left to
get on another wing and now escape pod 2 is launched. Shit, only 1 left!
We better hurry!

 Climb on the pipe to the north and then on the next wing. From here, climb on
the objects on the wall and then on the next wing. The system tells us that you
have 30 seconds before the ship crashes. Quickly run forward, jump on the pipe,
jump over to the next one and climb up to get on the escape pod. Yes, ON it,
not IN it.

 This ends the first Chapter of the game :).

 After the amazing scene between Monkey and Trip, and after they explain the
main reason of the game, you'll start controlling Monkey, all dizzy because of
the Slave Headband. Walk along with Trip down the stairs and you'll have your
HUD appear on screen...

   <vin> One thing I liked about this game was that Monkey can actually see the 
   HUD. Not like other games where only you see it, Monkey can see it :).
   
   
 Once at the bottom, walk over the green Health Pack to heal yourself up. Once
you do so, Trip runs off to the left. Before following her, go right across
the gap and collect the red orb that's floating alone there...

   <vin> These are THE Tech Orbs. You can purchase abilities with these, so 
   keep an eye open for them.
   
 Jump across the gap and collect it [500]. Go up the non-working electric
stairs to find 2 more Tech Orbs [500 each]. Follow the path to find 2 more Tech
Orbs [500 each]. Go to the corner and climb up to find one more Tech Orb [500].
Continue jumping from from ledge to ledge and you'll be at a hidden place with
tons of Tech Orbs [3 of 500 and 1 of 4000].

 Now simply jump down the ledge to return to where Trip is. Down here, hug the
right wall and you'll get another Orb. Now head towards Trip but before getting
too close note the platform on the left is climbable, so climb it up there and
you'll find 3 more Orbs. Move to the other side of the pillar to find a large
ring of Orbs [worth 4000].

 Return to Trip to trigger a little scene. Now it's time to lower the other
half of the drawbridge, so start climbing the pole on the left of Trip.
Cross the pit and when you're on the other side, grab the Orb and lower
the drawbridge.

 Two mechs appear. These are hard, no kidding. I almost die from them haha.
Take care of them using [] attacks and blocking all their attacks [BK: Really,
Vin!? You must be joking! :P]. Once you've killed them, Trip continues along
the path. Lift the block blocking the path and on the other side, you'll find
a Tech Orb and a Health Pack.


 Follow the path and when you jump down the ledges, there'll be an opening
to the left. Before going out, continue forward to find some more Orbs...
well, go get the Orbs after the scene :). Now, from the opening in the wall,
check your left to find some more orbs. Behind the cars on the right side
are more Orbs, so go nab them. Proceed to trigger a little scene. Now,
there are 2 things for you to take note:

1] Remember you have your shield that protects you from some bullets.
   Take advantage of that.

2] Learn the pattern of the mech's shooting. This will come in handy.

 Ok so just as it stops shooting, move forward to a barricade that's nearby.
Ignore the Orbs for now and run from barricade to barricade until you get
to the mech. Destroy it (should be pretty easy) and then 2 waves of 2 mechs
come out and play. Destroy them (use charged attacks to break their defense)
and the scene with Trip continues.

 You now can use Trip's commands. Nice. Now its time to go get the Orbs.
There's one in each hollow container (3 containers), some north by a tree,
and several under the path you used to get here. At this point, you should
have around 35,750 Orbs [BK: I had 35,750, that IS the MAX, be sure to check
behind the barricades under and around the bridge!]. Now proceed to where
the objective marker is and look behind you to find another Orb. Climb up,
nab the Orb and before going to where Trip is, note the rubble nearby. You
can climb up the ledges here and nab several orbs.

 Go to where Trip is, lift the block and proceed. A couple of Mechs attack
Trip and she introduces the EMP. Nice. She can stun mechs. Destroy these,
grab the Orb under the stairs (Be sure you get all orbs on the lower area)
and head up with Trip. She opens the door and triggers a little scene. From
where Monkey is, go directly right to get the Orb. Now go to where the marker
is.

 Here, start creating a distraction and when you do, ask Trip to move to where
you are (L1+ analog up). Once she crosses, grab the Orb under the stairs and
follow her to trigger another little scene. Now it's time for her to be the
decoy, without risking herself of course. Ask her to do so and when she starts,
stand on the bridge but before jumping across it, look right and jump on the
pole.

 Climb it to find a lot of Orbs :). From here, wait for the Decoy bar (on the
lower left corner) fills up and use it again. Jump down and across the bridge.
Once here, YOU create a distraction and ask Trip to go to you. Now its time
to take them out. Go down the stairs and go left from this fork. There are
several Orbs here, so be quick and nab them and return to cover.

 Return to the top of the platform and go right this time nabbing the orb.
Get behind the barricade and locate the climbable pole near it. Have Trip use
her decoy, climb the pole and cross the gap. Down here, wait for the decoy
gauge to fill back up and use it again. Cross the pole, grab the Orb and
climb up and cross the gap. On the other side, you'll be near a broken wall
with a door hole. Wait for the mech to get close and destroy it.

 Now use the decoy and destroy the second mech. Grab the 2 nearby orbs
and return to Trip. Go inside the door, and follow the path while you grab
the orbs that you see (only 2 of them). Go forward a little bit to trigger a
scene. Return from whence you came and on the left side you'll find some Orbs.
Grab all the orbs in the area and you should have around 63,750 [BK: I had
64,250 at this point, for comparison]. Nice. Proceed onwards and a scene
triggers.

 Follow Trip now and it's time to catch a dragonfly. Lift Trip up so she can
drop down the ladder. Start following the dragonfly across the whole area (it
is a linear path), grabbing orbs as you go. When you're standing on the tree
branches, make sure you jump in the room on the right to grab some Orbs.
Continue and when you drop down, go under the platform to grab an Orb. Now go
to the dragonfly and catch it.

 After the scene, head back down to Trip using the nearby ledge jutting out
of the building and watch the scene :). Now pick her up and start going through
the mine field. Follow the rather simple mined path while getting all the
Orbs...

   <vin> I was writing this part around 2-3 am and fell asleep around 5 times, 
   waking up when Monkey and Trip were dying, lol XD.
   
   [BK] O_O ... you're crazy man! :) Don't you guys just love vin!?

 When you drop down a ledge, after the first mines, watch the left side of the
screen to find 2 mines that are rather close, but there's an opening in
between them with a large Tech Orb [4000]. Continue onwards and a little scene
triggers in the large open area. It's covered in mines. Oh my. Anywho, pick
Trip up again and look behind you to find a couple Tech Orbs. 

 Start going left across the plank and across the destroyed bus as well.
Grab the Tech Orbs on the left and move across this little path to find 2
more Tech Orbs waiting for you :). From this place, follow the pole so you
standing on the bus. Jump on the road and start collecting all the Tech Orbs,
all the way to the end of the road...

   <vin> Right now you should have around 88250 Orbs :).
   
   [BK] That's exactly what I had! :)

 Now return to where the bus is (after you crossed it) and continue, grab the
Tech Orb to the right. Continue onto the concrete and Trip tells you to throw
her up to the ledge on the other side. Jump across using the cars. After you
drop down from the second car, grab the orbs (2 in total) and throw Trip up
the ledge.

 We're alone now. Go up the car that looks like a ramp. Go across, grab the
orb as you're on safe ground and soon enough you'll be attacked by a mech.

|  This is the perfect opportunity to get this trophy. As you approach this   |
| mech, start attacking it and it'll block your attacks. Attack it a couple   |
| of times and use a charged attack to knock it back into the mine. Tada!     |
| Alternately, you can use your wide area attack ( [] + X ) to PUSH him into  |
| any nearby mine!                                                            |

 Kill it and grab the adjacent orbs (4 on the ground nearby). Before going up
the rubble, go to the left and climb the boxes on to the truck. Go to the end
of the path to find some more Tech Orbs. Return and go up the rubble now. Go
towards Trip and help her over following the instructions onscreen...

   <vin> From the platform she's standing on, grab the Tech Orbs behind her. 

 Follow her afterwards and she'll scan the area and now you know what to do.
Jump across using the car and get cover. Have Trip use her Decoy and quickly
grab the Tech Orb on the right side. Climb up the pole and quickly cross to
the other side while the decoy is still on. You'll take a couple of shots,
but the shield should protect you from them. 

 Proceed and then Trip scans the area again. Once she does, drop down the
ledge and destroy the mech (I recommend destroying them so you can get more
orbs)...

   <vin> Or don't destroy them to get a trophy :).

 Grab the orbs on the right side and use the pipes to cross to the other side
of the area, where some more Orbs are waiting. Cross the pipes and you'll be
at the end of the area, but don't leave just yet.

 Let's get all the orbs, shall we? Go left from the exit and you see several
orbs under the platform. Grab them and destroy the mechs. Not hard at all.
Use charged attacks and wide attacks to destroy them. Grab the Health Pack
as well and NOW you can leave the area.

|  First opportunity to nab this trophy. You need to sneak past by them       |
| without waking them up. From the start, after the scan, drop down in front  |
| of you twice until you're at the same level as the 3 mechs. From here,      |
| go right, up the little ramp to be on the second level. Use the poles on    |
| the right to cross and find your way to the exit.                           |

 Whichever way you did it, once you've passed, grab the orbs in front of you
and from the left, as well as the Health Pack. Note that there are 3 Orbs in
between 2 mines, so have Decoy on and grab them carefully. Now, from directly
in front of the exit of the previous area is a fallen trailer. Climb up it and
jump into the building to get 3 Orbs.

 Now climb the pipe that's outside and grab the Plasma Blast ammo from the
top. You're told to aim with L2, and shoot with R2. Nice. Now shoot at the
sign markers and some mechs start chasing Trip. Go down ASAP to the bottom
and kill all 3 of them. A little scene triggers.

 Climb up the trailer again and enter the building. Proceed through the
blocked path and you'll exchange names with her. Nice ^_^. Drop down and nab
the orbs. Follow the path while grabing the orbs and following Trip until
another small scene triggers.

 [BK] Tech Check! I'm at 121,250 Orbs at this point.

 Now we need to get to that turret to destroy the gas container. Use Decoy
as you get control and run towards the truck. Take cover behind a car until
Trip's Decoy refills. Use it again and from the truck, run towards the
turret, grabbing the orbs as you proceed. You'll soon have to start climbing.
Do so and when you get to the turret, attack it and press O to climb it and
take control.

 Shoot the container and many mechs will start heading towards Trip. Dammit!
Use the turret to take care of 'em. 2 will come from the building that is
behind the gas container. More will come from the building on the left and
some waves between these 2 buildings. Last but not least a Broadcaster mech
appears...

   <vin> These enemies call for reinforcements when the counter reaches 0, so
   make sure to take 'em out ASAP.
   
 Once you're done, continue along the wall and the pipes (not from where you
came from). You'll get together with Trip. She tells you she can upgrade your
equipment, but before doing so, run around all the area collecting the orbs,
even from the building from where the second wave of mechs emerged. Now press
L1 and pick the upgrade sub-menu...

   <vin> You should have around 140,750 orbs at this point, or at least that's 
   what I have. Buy whatever suits your play style. Here's a little list of 
   what I bought:
   
   [BK] I actually had 138,250. Perhaps I killed less mechs? With the chance
   of more mechs coming in that is a possibility. There are 15 orbs lying
   around (naturally) from the time you start your run to the turret to the
   time you throw Trip across the gap, so as long as you grabbed them you
   should be good!
   
   o Health Extension 1
   o Health Extension 2
   o Shield Strength 1
   o Block Strength 1
   o Stun Charge Upgrade
   o Combat Awareness
   
 Now follow Trip, toss her into the building, nab the Orbs and the Health
Pack and keep following her. When you reach the outside of the building,
drop down and you'll be greeted by another new enemy, the Demolition mech.
Before anything, run around and grab all the orbs in the area. Now let's
focus on destroying it!

(-NOTE-) To make a later trophy easier, headshot this thing as much as you
         can!

 Try headshotting it with all the ammo you have. Our goal here is to "enrage"
the beast. Headshots are great for this (there's some Plasma Blast Ammo in
the area), but you can always run around it and bait it into attacking, then
get in a few hits of your own before running away.

 With enough hits it will start to glow red (the sign that it is indeed
enraged). Once you see this put the statue between it and yourself, then
taunt it so that it hits the atlas statue in the center of the area.

 Keep doing this over and over until you finally destroy it. Overall it's
a fairly easy fight once you know what you need to do. This triggers a
scene and the end of the chapter :).

 Ok, so as we start the Chapter, before following Trip, look behind you for
some orbs. There are 7 orbs, so yeah, nab them. Start going forward now, but
hug the right side. You'll find a destroyed car and some rubble. There are
Tech Orbs behind it, so grab them and go inside the building in front of you
for a lot of orbs. Go all the way to the back to get many of them.

   <vin> In the larger room, check the upper left side for a grabbing stone,
   so you can climb up to get a lot of Orbs and some Plasma Ammo. 

 Now go outside and grab these as well, while you follow Trip. She'll tell you
to slow down, and a scene triggers. Return a little bit and climb up the crates
on the left and follow this upper path, while you collect Plasma Ammo at the
end.

   <vin> Note that in order to get all the Tech Orbs, you need to fight these 
   mechs.
   
   [BK] This is a great place for the "Lover, not a Fighter" trophy as well,
   but you likely already have that if you are following the guide.
   
 After the mechs, there's a trailer container with orbs inside and outside,
so grab them all. Trip tells you you've reached a dead end. Press O on the
destroyed car to pass to the other side, in which now you'll start going
upwards.

 Grab the Orb and then throw Trip to the ledge above. Go up the platforms,
grab two more Orbs and continue upwards, finding 2 more Orbs. As you move in
the next area, continue forward and jump across the rubble to find 6 more
Orbs, nice :). Return to the open area and grab the other 2 Orbs. Now grab
the Energy Serum from the ground and Trip tells you how to use it...

   <vin> With Trip's commands, press L1 and right on the analog stick to have 
   her heal you completely ^_^.
   
 Go behind the pillar in from of the serum to find another orb. There are 2
more really easy to spot, so nab them, grab Trip and jump across. A little
scene triggers and you'll get your very first [_MASK 01/26_].

   <vin> Can't tell you much about the masks, only that they are collectibles. 
   You get a Bronze Trophy for finding half of 'em and a Silver one if you find 
   them all. They'll make sense later in the game.

 Follow the path after the scene, grab the Tech Orb when you get to it and
climb the ladder once outside. Grab the Orbs here, go through the opening on
the wall to find a couple more Orbs (be sure to check on the metal grating
outside as well!). Return to the previous area and cross the wooden path to
trigger a little scene. Man oh man, there are now mechs with shields.
Don't like this.

 Run to the right and take cover. This activates the mechs. Have Trip use
Decoy and nab the Orbs from the left, in front of your first cover. Return
to the right and take cover while the Decoy recharges. Use it again and run
forward, jump across the gap and grab the Orb to the left. Return to take
cover on the right side and wait for the Decoy to recharge.

 Run across the pipe and follow the climbable path until you reach a
platform with a Health Pack. Wait here for the Decoy to recharge, just make
sure the shielded mech is shooting the pillar. Decoy the enemies again and
continue along the path, and when you get to it, instead of going up the
stairs and against the mech, go inside the little room to have Decoy recharge
again. 

 Go outside to find an orb and an Energy Serum. Nice. Now locate the small
climbable wall and climb it to find some Plasma Ammo. Use the metal beams
to jump across to the other side. Run across the path and drop down the
ladder. Return a little bit and go up the stairs from where the shielded
mech was underneath.

 When you get to the top Trip follows a crawling space. Jump from the metal
beam, grab the Orbs and jump down to find Trip and an orb.

 As you go through the door, go right and down to find some orbs. There are
some Orbs directly right from the door, as well as a couple hidden ones behind
the container. Grab them all and follow Trip and she does a scan on the area.

 All the mechs are inactive, but there's a turret though. From where you're
taking cover, go right, grab both Orbs and then go left. Climb up the boxes
and grab the Orbs. Climb upwards again, cross the pipes and grab the Orbs
and the Plasma Ammo. Return across the pipes, jump down and here, locate the
path on the left side. Use Decoy and climb your way through this path. At the
end, you'll find Plasma Ammo and an Orb. 

 Use Decoy again, drop down and beat the metal scrap out of the mech. When
you grab its arm, kill all 3 other mechs (one of them is a Broadcaster) and
let go of the arm...

|  This is a good opportunity to get this trophy. The last mech is the        |
| Broadcaster. While having the mech's machine gun hand, shoot a little bit   |
| at the Broadcaster. Since its running towards you, when it gets to you,     |
| its counter will most likely be at one. Shoot it with all you've got and    |
| you'll get the trophy.                                                      |

 Grab the Orbs in this small area and go to where Trip now is. We now need to
throw Trip upwards so she can lower the ladder for us. The catch is that the
turret is active and will attack the moment you go outside. Oh man. Grab Trip
and hide behind the rubble. When it stops shooting, run to the next piece of
rubble. When it stops once again, quickly run towards the ladder. 

 Once she lowers it for you, go up, Grab the Energy Serum and instead of
following her, use the metal beam to jump across and quickly jump up and
follow the path because they fall down. Once on top, take cover from the
turret and jump across to find your [_MASK 02/26_]. Return to the previous
catwalk and continue along this way and Monkey will get his ass beaten.

 When you regain control, go right and take cover behind the rubble. Cross
the metal beam right next to the rubble and jump to a second beam to find
some Orbs. Return to the first beam and jump on the water container to the
right. When you get to the top of the building, have Trip use Decoy and
take out the turret.

 Leave it, grab the Orbs near the turret and drop down. Grab the 3 Orbs in
the area, return to where Monkey fell and follow the wooden path. Lower the
path for Trip and return to where you destroyed the turret. Climb it and
Trip will "trip" the alarm and many mechs will come out. Use the turret to
take them all out, which is easy :). Once done, drop down, collect all the
Orbs and go in the door.

 Grab the Orb in here and go down the stairs and drop down. Grab the Orb
and go forward to find your [_MASK 03/26_]. Grab the Orb in here as well
and approach Trip. Drop down in the next room, grab 3 Orbs from the right
and nab one last Orb after the door to the exit. A little scene triggers
where the metal tower is shown. We're so close now :).

 Go left to find some Orbs and drop down on the right side. Nab all the
Orbs on this level and drop down on the right side (where Trip is waiting).
Grab the Stun Ammo and the 2 Orbs on this side. Return to the previous level
and now drop down the left side. Collect the Stun Ammo and 2 Orbs as well.
Drop down and its time to destroy some mechs. There's a Broadcaster with
them, so give it priority.

(-NOTE-) As we mentioned earlier, try to Headshot the Demo mech as much as
         you can to make a trophy for headshotting them easier to obtain
         later!

 Nab the ammos and Health Packs and a Demolition mech appears. Dammit, I
don't like these XD. Either way this one is easy. Shoot its head a couple
times with your Plasma Shots until it enrages. Taunt it (Press R1) to have
it bump against a wall. Use this time to jump on its back to perform a
Takedown. Its that easy this time around :).

 When Trip jumps down and exits to the streets, follow her and grab all 6
Orbs, the Ammo and Health. Now just grab Trip and climb up on top of the
trailer crate. Up on the Roof.

 As you regain control of Monkey, go left from your position and you'll find
Orbs here. Grab the rest of the Orbs around the area (there should be 11 in
total) and go to the upper right side of the area to find a climbable wall.
Climb up to the catwalk on top and from here, jump on the branch on the left
and start making your way to the left. You'll find a large Orb here as well
as [_MASK 04/26_].

 Return to the catwalk and go right from here. Jump across the wooden beams
and upwards. A mech attacks you, so destroy it and take its Orbs. Jump across
the iron beams and a new mech appears, the Electro Mech. These fire Stun Shots
that F you up and should be avoided. Wait for it to shoot it, jump to the next
beam and make your way across to where it is.

 Once destroyed, go outside and from the fork, jump upwards and to right.
Out in this area are orbs. There is a total of three sets of three orbs, so
explore the right area (with the vine) thoroughly for them and then go ahead
and return to the catwalk just outside the building and go left onto the
branch. When you reach another yellow catwalk, jump towards the right and
when you get to a giant neon sign, quickly jump upwards before it falls.

 Grab the Orbs in here and you'll see 3 shielded mechs. Dammit, and now we
don't have Trip with us. You'll have to be quick on your feet. First of all,
drop down and look behind you to find some Orbs. Nab them, take cover and
wait for your shield to recharge. Start making your way towards the left side
while taking cover and grabbing the Orbs you see.

 You'll have to go right, so do so and jump across the gap and hang on to
the pipe. Jump up and over and grab the Stun Ammo. If you can, stun one
enemy and shoot a Plasma Shot twice to destroy it. If you have the ammo, do
so. From where you dropped, stun the mech(s) and make your way left grabbing
the Orbs and under the ceiling.

 Grab the Health, the Plasma Ammo and the Orbs and go up the stairs. You're
now on the same level as the mechs, so stun and destroy them really quickly.
Grab the Orbs. Go into the opening on the wall, grab the Orbs and drop down.
Grab the Orbs behind you and the [_MASK 05/26_] in front of you. After the
little scene, look left to find some Orbs (easy to miss out on).

 Go forward from here, jump on the beam and on to the next level. Before
going up the stairs, go right into the adjacent room and grab the Stun Ammo
and Orbs. Go up the stairs and once outside, there will be inactive mechs on
the left and right sides (a Broadcaster and an Electro mech). Destroy them,
grab the Orbs and Health, go up the large metal beam and jump to the marker.

 When you're hanging for your life, QUICKLY jump upwards before everything
falls down. Run across the metal scraps and use the lever to drop down the
large pieces of metal. After the scene, jump down where the ladder is, and
jump on the broken ladder to the left. Start jumping down the large machine
until you get inside a building. Get the Energy Serum and all the Orbs
before you drop down.

 Nab the Orbs from behind the wall from where you dropped down and drop down
once more. Climb up on the other side and turn around to see some more Orbs.
Nab them and drop down on the other side. Turn around once you've dropped,
jump over the debris to find a Large Orb, along with many smaller ones. Nice.
Follow the path and once outside, before going forward, go towards the screen
to find an Orb, another easy one to miss.

 Follow the path to trigger a scene with Trip. Now this thing is chasing you.
Run away from it, but hug the right side of the screen until you get some Orbs.
Once you do, start hugging the left side of the screen until a scene triggers
and the thing is trapped outside. That was close. Grab all the Orbs in this
level and throw Trip upstairs.

 Once you do, quickly step on the steps (duh! haha) and jump upwards using the
pipe. Follow the hall and jump on the chandelier on the left to nab some Orbs.
Now use the second chandelier to get to the next floor. Follow the rather
simple path until you get to Trip. Drop down in the next room and turn around
for some Orbs. Then just press O to lift the block when you get to it.

 A little scene triggers as you proceed. Time to get that Power Cell for
Trip...

   <vin> Just how can you say no to her??? :3
   
 You'll see some Orbs in front of you, unreachable for now. Drop down once
and look behind you to see an Orb behind the chairs. Grab it, grab the 2
Orbs on the other side of the chairs and 3 more behind the rubble you used
to drop down. Run towards the stage and drop down to find many Orbs.

 Climb up and its time to deal with the mechs. Remember the one that has a
malfunction?? The one with the ! over its head. Attack this one first, which
is an Electro mech. You can perform a Takedown to receive more Orbs. Take
care of them and Trip will come down. Use the Health Pack if needed (there's
an Orb behind the chairs next to the Pack).

 Now get on stage and behind the stage, there are Orbs behind the rubble on
the left side. Nicely hidden. Now go to where Trip is, mount her on your back
(BK: Heh, Vin typed "Mount her") and start climbing. At the top, go right and
at the end, grab the Orb and throw her up. A scene triggers and you'll see
[_MASK 6/26_] appear out of thin air. Go to it and a scene triggers. Just what
the hell is Trip doing??? :O.

 Follow the path here until you're told by Trip to use the scaffold. Follow
the path of shiny jumpable things and when you get to the marker, Trip scans
the area. Now you need to move the lightning rigs with the help of the levers.
Go all the way to the right (where you threw Trip to the Power Cell) and
jump across to use the first lever. 

 Return to the first marker where Trip scanned the area and jump on the green
lightning rig. Follow the path to the right and use the second lever to move
the blue lightning rig. Drop down, cross the red lightning rig, jump to the
blue one and jump to the lever to raise the red lightning rig. Jump over to
the right and climb up the beam holding the lights.

 Use the lever here to lower the green lights again, jump across the gap
and cross to the other side. Jump on the beams, go down the catwalk and jump
on the blue lightning rig. Jump across it onto the green one and then grab
the Large Orb at the end. Now return to the blue lightning rig, jump over to
where the lever for the red lightning rig is but don't use it. Just over to
where the green lightning rig lever is and use it to raise the green lightning
rig.

 Jump across the gap and onto the green lightning rig. Go over and use the
blue lightning rig to raise it up. Drop down, cross the beams and cross the
rigs. Jump on the angel at the end to trigger a scene and end the Chapter.

 From the start, look behind you to find some Orbs. Follow Trip, grab the Orb
and a little scene triggers. We now have control of the Cloud. Awesome!!!
^_^...

   <vin> Ok, here comes the hard part, locating all the Orbs in the area :(. 
   We'll use Trip's line of sight to locate ourselves. When I say left, it's to
   Trip's left.
   
   [BK} Man oh man. This area. SO MANY orbs. Under bridges, hidden behind
   random objects... SEARCH EVERYWHERE. If you miss any orbs in this chapter
   this area is the likely culprit.
   
 First off, there are 3 Orbs to the left of Trip, so grab them. Now go on top
of the debris-like bridge in front of Trip to find many Orbs (go all the way
to the end and look thoroughly). Now return to Trip. Now follow the bridge you
used to get to where Trip is and in the broken part there's an Orb. Near this
opening in the bridge, there's another Orb on top of some debris.

 If you look left from Trip, you can see one of those blue thingies on the
ocean. Behind one of the pillars near it is another Orb. There's another one
on the debris right next to it. At the upper left part, there's a semi sunken
ship. Go behind it to find an Orb. Check the debris near the ship to find 2
more Orbs.

 Directly in front of the ship's front, there's a pile of rubble that has a
[_MASK 7/26_], an Orb and some Plasma Ammo. Now, if you go directly down from
the ship's back side, you'll find 3 more Orbs on another sunken ship. Now go
towards the big structure to find 2 more Orbs along its side, and 2 more on
its other side.

 Return now to the first semi-sunken ship and press R3 on its side where the
Orb was and shoot the yellow container on the ship to make it explode and sink
completely, leaving behind 3 Large Orbs. Now its time to tackle the right side
of the area, lol. The structure that looks like a ramp to the upper right side
of Trip has 2 Orbs on its sides. Nab them and use the ramp and the speed
booster on it to make it on top of the bridge.

 There are 4 Orbs on top, and 3 more on the other side. There's a truck that's
about to fall down. Remember how to get up here since we'll need to return up
here in a little bit. Drop down and on the upper right edge of the area there's
a smaller ramp with a speed booster. Use it to land on the platform with some
more Orbs. Now go directly right from Trip to find an island-look alike that
has a ton of Orbs and an Energy Serum. Now, we need to knock down the crate on
top of the broken bridge to create a path for Trip. 

 Directly left from Trip is a ramp. Go up this ramp and grab the Orb. Jump to
the other side, grab the Orb and knock down the crate. Now we need go to where
the truck is. Remember how to get there? Well, knock it down as well and now
follow Trip all the way to the end of the path...

   <vin> There's an Orb inside the trailer crate next to the exit. I forgot 
   about this one the first time I wrote, so make sure you get it. 

 Lift the block to pass to the next area. Grab the Orb in this room and proceed
to the next room (You gotta like the 3D TV's being referred to as ancient and
redundant technology!). A little scene triggers and Monkey says you'll have to
start climbing. Man oh man. Toss Trip upwards and now locate the metal beams on
the right of the entrance. Use these to start climbing. When you get to Trip,
toss her upwards again and start following the pipe.

 Move along the pipe, jump on both stones and when you get to the metal beam,
go right from it, jump on the catwalk and jump upwards towards the second
catwalk to find 3 more Orbs. Drop down, jump across the metal beams and start
climbing upwards. This little space has a beach chair, an umbrella and a
hammock, nice touch :). Anyway, from here, you're supposed to jump across to
the metal beam.

 Instead of doing so, go around the space, jump on the pipe and go downwards
to find [_MASK 08/26_], and an Orb. Return upwards and jump across the metal
beams. Jump your way through the pipes and you'll get to Trip once again.
Toss her across the gap and haul her up. Carry her and start running before
the bridge collapses. Run across the area while grabbing the 2 Orbs that are
here.

 Jump up and down the crate. Grab the Orbs around the area and move along
until you come to an area with some cars. A little scene triggers and Trip
scans the area. First off, grab the Orbs here and go left, where the Electro
mech is. Destroy both mechs and grab the Orbs. Return and we'll have to start
going forward. Notice the mech that has the malfunction.

 Focus on this one first. Attack it with [] only until you can perform a
Takedown...

|  Another area with a good opportunity to get a trophy. Once you perform the |
| Takedown on the malfunctioning mech, have the other 2 mechs align in front  |

 Follow Trip up the crates, grab the Orbs here and the Energy Serum. Drop down
and toss Trip across the gap. Grab the Orb from behind the rubble on the left
and move forward. Some mechs appear and start shooting at you. Quickly grab the
Orb here. Return to where the train is and move to right side of the bridge to
find another Orb. Start going forward while using Trip's Decoy.

 When you find some hollow pipes, go inside on of them to find some Orbs. Now
go to the left side of the bridge and take both mechs out. Take the Orbs from
these platforms and follow Trip again. Grab the Health Pack if needed, grab
the Plasma Ammo and Orb on the left side past the Health Pack. Move to where
Trip is and now another dog is near. Dammit. Return a little bit and go down
the crate. 

 Follow the rather linear path until you get up to a crate. Press L1 and Trip
tells you that you guys will have to meet up further down the bridge. Drop
down, grab the 3 Orbs and move along the metal beam. Grab the Orbs from behind
the car and move forward to have Trip scan the area. There's a turret here,
dammit.

 Start going forward while grabbing the Orbs from left and right sides and
while Trip uses her Decoy. When you get under the turret, grab the Orb from
the right side and climb up the crates on the left side. Up here, grab the
Health Pack and perform a Takeover on the Turret. Drop down twice on the left
side and before anything, move inside the wrecked bus to find 3 hidden Orbs.
Now proceed backwards, to where Trip was hiding. You'll find many Orbs along
the path, so make sure to go all the way to the end. 

 Go forward to where Trip is going to trigger a little scene and you'll get
[_MASK 09/26_]. Look behind the car next to you for some Orbs. Lift the blocks
to pass to the next area. In here, you'll go around many corners in the
following order: right, left and right. When you go around the third corner,
the marker's distance should be around 445m. From here, check the trailer crate
on the right to find a Large Orb inside.

 After scanning the area, you'll find a ton of turrets. Go behind the crate
to find 3 more Orbs. Grab them and quickly hide where Trip is. Use Decoy and
move to where the car is. Once you reach it, open the hatch and let Trip in.
You won't be riding, but you need to use the car as cover while it moves.
Move closer to the camera (away from the car) to grab the Orbs while you move
forward and jump over the gaps. You'll then have to cross to the right side
of the screen, so do so until you're free and a scene triggers. Uh oh,
here comes the doggy :O.

 Your Cloud is active again, so you can use it, which is freaking sweet.
The area is not that big, so make sure you grab all the Orbs. From the start,
go in front of you and go up the ramp. Follow this path while collecting ALL
the Orbs. This upper path takes you all the way to the other side, where a
second ramp is located, having some more Orbs on top.

 Make sure to keep the doggy stunned so it doesn't destroy the car where Trip
is. There's also an Orb on the floor on the left side of the car, under the
upper ledge and behind a pillar. Now that the Orbs are taken care of, simply
stun it and start attacking it. When it starts recovering, stun it again and
keep attacking it nonstop.

 When you deplete its health, it tells you to use Cloud to catch up to the
doggy and perform a Takedown. Take out your Cloud and use the blue speed
boosters to catch up to it and rip off their legs. When you do so, stun it
and keep attacking it, depleting its red health bar now. Once you do, you'll
have to catch up to it once again and perform a Takedown. Do so and you'll end
the Chapter.

 Ok, so after the few neat scenes between Monkey and Trip, we'll be at the
entrance to the village, only to find it has its defense system active. Man oh
man, well, let's find another way. So, when you get control, look directly
behind you to find 4 Orbs and look towards the gate we used to get in here in
the scene to find another Orb and an Energy Serum.

 Return and grab both Orbs, one on each side of the bridge and the Large Orb
ON the bridge. Follow Trip across the catwalk and keep an eye on the left side
to find an Orb. Now jump to the branch and make your way to the other side,
where Mark was supposed to be. Grab the Orbs here and follow the path to the
right, where the bridge and its mechanism are.

 Before lowering the bridge, go on top of it and jump across to the branch.
On top, on a platform, there's an Orb and another [_MASK 10/26_]. Drop down
and make your way to the other side and lower the bridge this time. Follow
Trip and when you get to a pair of bridges, operate them so they raise. Cross
the lower one, grab both Orbs and tell Trip to move the bridges. Cross to the
left side, grab another Orb and have Monkey activate the bridges.

 Tell Trip to move other to the right side, lower the bridges again and tell
her to meet up with you. Use it once again and you can now proceed. Throw Trip
upwards and have her lower the bridge. Jump to it and... nope, Monkey falls
haha, dammit. No biggie. Start climbing upwards	until you meet up with Trip.
Follow her, grab the lonely Orb behind the bridge mechanism and use the lever.

 Cross to the other side, grab the Orb and use the lever. Once you've used it,
ask Trip to use it as well. Cross to the left side, grab the 3 Orbs here and
use the lever. Cross over to the right and use the lever. Tell Trip to run
across to the right and tell her to use the lever. Now cross Monkey to the
left, use the lever and ask Trip to rendevous with you.

 Use the lever one last time and cross. Follow Trip, grab the Orbs as you
see them and a little scene triggers as you reach the tower. Oh my, this is
bad, really bad :'(. As you gain control, quickly nab all the Orbs and the
ammo that's scattered around and prepare to fight some Pyramid techs. These
are like the normal bladed enemies, only with a shield. To take care of them
really quick, stun them and then shoot them with a Plasma shot. That's all :).

 As you run along the path, 3 more Mechs try to take you down. The Electro
Mech has a malfunction, so you know what to do :). Take these out ASAP and
follow along the path, nabbing all Orbs. Use the Health Pack, jump over the
gap and grab the 3 Orbs on the right. Two waves of 3 mechs attack you, which
shouldn't be difficult. Now jump over the gap on the other side and grab the
Orbs, the Plasma Ammo and the Health Pack if needed. 

 Jump down to where the camera points you, then jump across to the tree root
and make your way to safe ground. Grab the Orb here and cross the stone
bridge. A couple Pyramid mechs attack you, so take them out. More come, from
both in front and from behind you so be careful. After taking them out, grab
the Orbs in the area, the Health Pack and Ammo. Go to the marker, cross the
metal gate and grab the Orbs here. Start climbing and on the top, destroy some
Pyramid mechs and an Electro Mech. 

 Grab the Orbs here, and before jumping over the gap, drop down on the left
side of the (first) area you're on to find [_MASK 11/26_]. Return (drop down
and climb back up) and now jump over the gap and grab 3 more Orbs. Climb to
the second level of the tower, grab the Orbs on the corners and climb again
to end the Chapter.

 After the rather sad scene (man I love the music of the game ^_^), grab the
Orbs from the left, next to the swing. Go down the path and in the next area,
grab the Orbs from behind the couch. There's a climbable pole here as well,
so climb it, cross to where the building is (use the poles and the rocks), and
grab the Orbs and the [_MASK 12/26_]...

 Jump on the metal beam behind the Mask and drop down to the floor. Look right
as you drop down to find 2 Orbs, and some more next to the swings. Grab one
more Orb next to the slide and now climb up the pole on the far wall. Grab both
Orbs and take cover. Look at Trip and then she'll run away. Wait for the mech
to stop shooting, jump over to the catwalk and take cover.

 Move forward and climb up the roots. Jump across and grab the Orbs and Ammo.
Stun the mech, attack it a couple times and perform a Takeover. Destroy the
Electro/Broadcaster mech on the ground and drop down. Grab all the Orbs in
the area and start climbing a metal beam on the side of the building. On the
roof, there's a ton of ammo and a couple of mechs. Shoot them down and cross
to the other side.

 Grab the Orbs on the side and soon the L1 button pops out. Drop down, grab
the Orbs and Ammo and take cover. Shoot the mechs down and grab the Orbs in
the area (there are some Orbs behind you as well). Grab the Health Pack if
you need to and jump on the metal beams. Make your way across the climbable
objects, grab the Orbs and Health Pack if needed on top and continue.

 When you get to the next area, press L1 to watch Trip run away. Ok. Now
shoot down both mechs on top and jump across to the other side to grab 2
Orbs and some Plasma Ammo. Drop down, destroy both mechs here and the camera
will show you the doors. Before going here, grab the 5 Orbs scattered on the
ground, climb up to where the mechs were and grab the Orbs here as well. Jump
across the metal beams to find some more Orbs and some Plasma Ammo.

 Before even moving, look behind the gates you were shown and its barricaded.
Shoot the pillar down and now go through the gates. Grab the Orbs here and at
the end, start jumping and climbing your way to the top. Once you're at the
top, some mechs come out and play, but the first one has a malfunction and if
you perform a Takeover, you can make it explode along with the ones in front
of it.

 Once you're done with them, grab the Orbs in the area (they're all visible)
and climb up the pipe at the end of the area. Jump across the gap, grab the
Orbs and jump to the next one to have Monkey fall. After he does, shoot down
both mechs shooting at you and some mechs come running down. Take care of them
and a shooting Pyramid Mech comes out, as well as some more mechs. Dammit.
Take the mechs on the floor first and shoot the Pyramid mech down at the end.

 Grab the Orbs in the area and start following the street, looking left and
right in between the buildings for Orbs and Ammo...

 On the street, there are still some shielded mechs on the rooftops, so stun
them and shoot them down. Continue down the street collecting the Orbs from
left and right until you get to the marker. Don't go through it yet, instead,
climb up the pole next to the marker to get to the rooftops where the mechs
were.

 Go left first to find several Orbs and a lot of Stun Ammo. As you return,
before the path starts rising, there are some jumping metal beams on the
right. Jump across them to find some Orbs and some Plasma Ammo. Now return
to the start and take a left to jump across more metal beams. Grab the Orbs
and Health Pack. Jump across a second set of metal beams and grab the Large
Orb hidden behind the building.

 Go to the marker now and cross it. Grab the Orbs in this new area and some
enemies come out. Nice >:). Take them out and cross through the marked gates.
Grab the Health Pack and Orb and make your way to the next area. Many, and I
mean MANY shooting mechs start shooting at you, so take your time to shoot
them down, and stun those who needed to.

 Soon enough, a little scene triggers showing you a new mech. It's just a
stronger version of the normal bladed mechs. Keep on destroying the mechs
until a little scene with Trip triggers. Now follow the outline of the whole
area and grab all the Orbs. There are 2 Orbs in the center of the area, so
nab them and head to the marker.

 (-NOTE-) Bkstunt is now taking over writing duties! How exciting!
 
 
 OK, we're back in the wide-open plaza from the last chapter. Except that it
has been re-filled with tech orbs. BEFORE you go with trip spend some time
combing the walls of this big area picking up tech orbs. Note that there is
one orb in the middle as well.

 Also, BEFORE following Trip head into the area where we found her at the
end of the last chapter to find 6 orbs and [_MASK 14/26_]. After grabbing this
and all the orbs go ahead and follow Trip.

 After the cutscene, gather up the orbs in this area (four) and follow Trip.
Head down to the lower walkways gathering orbs until you see the scene showing
the console in the distance. After that look to your LEFT (you may have to do
some backtracking) to find a small cubby with an orb and some Plasma Ammo.

 After grabbing that, head to the end and jump to the bar to the right. We
have to do a little climbing here but the path is linear. You'll head up,
across and then down a couple of buildings. Use the lever to lower the
catwalk for Trip. Continue on (grab the orb) and head up the ladder. Up here
grab Trip and throw her up to the rung nearby. She'll tell you to find your
own way up as she opens a door in the distance. I really do think Monkey
could, y'know... stand on the boxes and follow Trip but Nooooo....


 Head to the left and (Quickly!) use the handholds to get to the next walkway.
Gather the orbs and follow the path. You'll have to use the pipes here and
more handhelds to get up.  You'll be on the other side of the electric fence
now. Before following Trip take the time to gather up all the orbs against both
sides of this narrow area. The mechs can't get through the fence but since we
are planning to overload the power we'll have to deal with them later...

 Follow Trip and watch the scene. We have to open the sails on the windmill.
Fun. This is actually one of the more memorable parts of the game (to me,
anyways). This area (and the narrow walkway behind you) is FULL of health.
Out by the windmill you can find Plasma Ammo x2, Shock Ammo x2, A Health Vial
and a Health Pack. You can of course find a ton of orbs as well. Once again,
searching the outline of the area well net you most of them. Behind the
windmill is a fence and to the right is a rock: search behind it for two
more orbs. There's one under the stairs behind the building as well.

 Once you've gathered everything up use the broken stairway to get up to
Trip. Gather the orbs (3) here and to Trip's left is a path to get up even
higher. Follow it up to a second level and look for a pipe against the
building to climb. This leads to a linear path upwards so follow it up to
the top. Once you're at the top BEFORE you jump on the windmill blade, head
to the other side of the building and look down for a lower platform for a
group of three orbs and a Health Vial.

 Head back up now and jump on the windmill. Follow the path up and release
the sail. You'll have the thing moving now but only barely. Trip will tell
you that you can't get the other two open from the top and shows you where
we need to go next (note the Mask that you see in this cutscene). Which of
course means we need to head down. It's the same path as the path up but
you do have to contend with the gears turning now. Just be sure to drop
down AFTER one of the gear spokes passes you!


 Once you get to the second floor, head right when the gear box lets you and
take this new path to the small building over here. Grab the orb and head in
to have Trip tell you she can STOP the windmill as you wish. This is important
to solving this puzzle: the windmill stops in one of THREE positions. Now, if
you are aiming for it to stop at your spot, use L1 and STOP it before the blade
get's near you but AFTER the previous blade has passed you.


 Now, let's get that mask. From here, stop the windmill on the blade with the
exposed fans. Jump on it and tell Trip to start the windmill, then once it
goes tell her to stop. Jump off on the red building. Now have Trip make it go
again and stop it as soon as it gets going. Jump down to the platform below
and jump on the next blade. Have Trip start it again and ride it past the
upward stop and stop it at the very next stop. Jump to the white roof and
[_MASK 15/26_] is yours!


 Now let's focus on getting the sails down. Jump back to the blade (if you
got the mask this is one without the sail down) and ride it to the TOP.
From there you can open the sail. Now we have to get back down through the
(now faster) gear-portion of the building and head back to the small building.
Jump onto the last windmill blade, ride it to the top, and open the last sail.
Once you do you'll have to descend once more back down the building. Beware as
the gears are REALLY going now. In fact, you can drop slightly BEFORE the
spoke passes you to drop safely.


 Head back down to Trip and then head down in front of the windmill to get
ready to take on the mechs (NOTE: If you want a shot at an easy trophy, buy
the "Plasma Penetration" skill from Trip). Once you get to the mark get ready,
as the mechs will soon be rushing your position. I would HIGHLY recommend
making liberal use of your shock and plasma ammo to take them out as they rush
you, given all the ammo in the area.

|  This is a good area to aim for this trophy, given the narrow area here     |

|  up though, so be ready with a shock first. You need to kill three mechs    |
|  with one shot to get this. There's more opportunities later for this if    |

 After the fight pickup whatever you can to refill your supplies and follow
Trip. Get ready to fight another Dog enemy. When we get back to the wide-open
plaza, a Dog will come out to play, but THIS one has a chain-gun on its head!

 It only really fires the gun if you are a ways away from it, and you should
have plenty of barriers to hide behind (beware of them being shot apart).
Taking down the Dog is essentially the same as before: Stun it and go beat
the crap out of it. Repeat this process until you take out its first life
bar, then use your Cloud again to get close and perform a takedown. Repeat
the process for the second life bar as well and then do one more Cloud ride
and takedown to take him out!


 Follow Trip to the marker to see a (very sad) scene and end the chapter. Oh
man, this one gets you right in the feels! :)

 So, we're here to meet someone...
 
 From the start, grab the two orbs behind you and follow Trip. BE SURE to check
the left wall of this area as there is a path leading left that has some orbs
in it as well as [_MASK 16/26_]. Very nice!

 Keep following Trip as she explains the water is toxic (lovely) and that the
man we're going to see has a ship she hopes to borrow. Fun. On the way note
the path branching off to the left (for two orbs) and gather all the orbs in
your path. You'll soon get a short cutscene showing two mechs. Our cloud will
also now be active!


 Very cool. For now stay on the ground and follow the path down to the mechs
(grab the two orbs along the way) and destroy them. One is a stunning mech so
be careful! Grab the orb here and get ready for Cloud mode.

 Jump on the cloud and search behind you in the water for a single orb. Now
it's time to search this entire area for orbs. Of course following the outline
of the area will net you most of them. Search in every crack and crevice and
around the base of every landmass and obstacle to find most of the orbs. This
area is entirely self-contained so it's easier than the previous cloud area.

 Of special note on your cloud journey is in the back of this open area are
some landmasses you can get off your Cloud on. There are some mechs to destroy
here. In the far corner of this open area you can walk up a slope to a metal
catwalk. Be sure to do this as you can fight another mech and find a ton of
orbs, as well as a Health Vial.


 Once you've found all the orbs (do two sweeps just to be sure), head up the
BIG ramp near the back of the area and follow it to the switch (and two more
orbs). Use it to let Trip continue on and then follow her to a door. Open it
up to continue.


 In this next area grab the orb and head up to watch a cutscene. We have to
shoot some parts off of the giant arm to continue. Of course there are mechs
here as well as a turret mech. Grrr... Grab the orb to the left and shoot the
first part off. Time to head to the right. Drop down and collect the orbs,
then get out of the turrets line of sight. Note that your cloud is actived
here!


 Time to take out the turret mech. Get on your cloud and have Trip use her
decoy ability. Now make a beeline for the turret mech and get up to where
he is standing. Charge up your staff to get past his shield and destroy him,
then perform a takedown to rip his gun off. You can now use it to destroy
the three mechs below! Oh yeah!


 Once the mechs are dead and the gun is dropped its time to go orb collecting.
There's five on our current platform (you have to drop down a level to get
two of them). Grab them and head to the boat landmass. Grab the six orbs here
and the two Plasma Ammo containers. Now climb up the nearby set of ledges for
several more obvious orbs. This path leads back around to Trip. After those,
get on your cloud and search the waters below for a total of eight more orbs.
Don't go too far down the tunnel onward unless you want a headache!


 Head back to the boat and shoot the final mark on the arm. Trip will need
help across so go back and throw her, then QUICKLY jump over and haul her up!
Now just simply follow her to the boat to continue.


 Now that we're on the boat (I'm on a boat!), Trip will take over driving
duties while we get to handle the gun. Nice. This section is on-rails, meaning
we have to shoot our way through here as mechs are going to show up. Plus the
boat has a life bar, so we need to protect it (aka: kill the mechs as fast as
possible).

 As the boat continues, the mechs will show up from the right, then from the
left. After that be ready to check above you for the next mechs followed by
more to the right. The boat will continue on but soon it is going to have
an engine failure, killing the light and stopping us in our tracks! We're
going to have to hold off some mechs here as Trip fixes it! They start to
come in from the right (ground level) then from the arch above. Zooming in
(L2) while firing at the arch enemies helps a ton. After you destroy those,
look to your left (ground level) to kill some more. Keep following this
pattern (Right / Arch / Left) to keep yourself safe and kill them as fast as
possible. Soon the boat will be fixed. Trip will steer us towards a giant
floodgate with mechs showing up and firing at us. Focus on the right-side of
the screen and take out as many as you can until we are safe.


 In the water lock we'll be forced to get off the boat and use a lever. Grab
the two orbs and use it to open the gate, then get back on the boat. Note the
orbs as we continue. We'll soon pass a scanning device that sets off the
defence turrets because of our headband. Great.


 Our cloud will be active again and we need to destroy the two turrets. First
thing's first though: orb collecting! Head back to the water gate where we
came in at and grab all the orbs over there (check both sides of the water).
You'll also note that there's a path that leads inland here as well. Go ahead
and take it and hop off the Cloud.

 This area has three mechs to take out as well as a lower path to a fourth
mech. Take them out however you wish (note that one has a defect and can
explode) and gather up the orbs on the landmass sections (there's one to the
right of the metal ramp going up). Now take the metal ramp up and follow the
path. This path leads behind one of the two turrets (and an orb!), letting
you take it out easily.

 Now let's head back and explore the water area down below on our Cloud. This
is of course dangerous since there are mines in the area, so BE VERY CAREFUL!
There is a total of five single orbs out here (pretty easy to get) and then
there's a LARGE group of orbs on one of the struts out here. You can get to it
easiest by following the left wall (the wall below the walkway closest to the
turret) and finding the strut sticking out over here. Jump to it on the cloud
and turn the cloud off. This lets you get to it easily.


 Now that that side of this area is done head back to where the boat is and
let's explore some more. Behind the boat is a minefield leading to a strip of
land with a slope. Explore around the minefield to find several orbs (7) in
the water area alone. These are all hanging near walls or land masses and can
be nabbed without getting too close to the turret.

 Once you have them head to the ramp (grab the orbs) and head up. There's a
split here. Take the left path first (orbs) and follow it to the landmass that
the turret is on. Have Trip use Decoy to easily get to the turret and take it
out. You can grab all the orbs up here after its dead.

 Now head back to the split on the ramp and take the right side now. This leads
to four orbs and a jump, followed by another platform with another jump and
some more orbs. Grab them all and then search the waters down below for SIX
more orbs: two near the "Pigs Land" sign, two by landmasses to the left of
the turret and two to the right of the boat on some land near a mechanical arm
leading to the right-side of this area. Once you've grabbed all the orbs go
ahead and return to the boat.


 Once the boat stops Monkey will jump out and [_MASK 17/26_] will be staring
you in the face! Heh. You CAN'T MISS this one. Grab it and jump over to the
marker and use it to see a scene. This scene starts a chase sequence with yet
another DOG!


 Now let's talk about this chase really quick: we are pursuing the Dog as he
pursues the boat and Trip. As we go along we will have the chance to gather up
ORBS, but we must still keep on the Dog's tail (these things have tails,
right?).

 If you don't care about the orbs this section is pretty easy: catch up to
the Dog and do a takedown. If you do it gets a TON harder. And since it does
I'm going to make a checklist of orbs for you to focus on.

 If you MISS any orbs you may as well just suicide and try again.
 
 [BK:] I played this section easily 20 times, just to make sure this checklist
       of orbs is perfect for you. Still, even if you had this list, getting
       every orb and keeping your speed up is tricky, so if you are going for
       perfection here be ready to try a few times (hopefully not 20!).


 Step 1: Hit the first three speed boosts. After the third boost are two orbs.
 
 Step 2: Head to the left bridge. Get three orbs on the first part, hit all
         the boosts, jump the gap, and nab three orbs on the second part. DO
         NOT hit the last speed boost and drop off the right side.
         
 Step 3: After dropping off get the three orbs in the middle and continue,
         heading left and nabbing three more orbs. The path will split coming
         up!
         
 Step 4: At the SPLIT, head right and nab three orbs. Keep your speed up.
         After you get the orbs take the left gap and get into the left lane.
         
 Step 5: Ride up the bridge and nab the orbs and speed boosts. Jump the gap
         and grab two more orbs on the second part (four orbs total).
         
 Step 6: Quickly get to the right-hand wall and nab three orbs. From here
         hit the rest of the speed boosts and do a takedown when you can.

         
 Whew, that part is rough. But once you do it you have complete this chapter!
Congrats are in order! Hurrah!

 Well, Pigsy is an interesting fellow! He shares what he knows, including the
Leviathan. Holy Crap! After all that we gotta collect a bunch of items. It
can't be easy, huh?


 Once you gain control grab the orb and follow Pigsy over the bridge. At
the end BEFORE following him up the ramp check out the left and right sides
of this area for a ton of orbs (just follow the walls). Now, we are about to
get into a RACE with Pigsy to the top of the structure. Beating him to the
top results in a trophy:

 Now, while there are orbs on the tower let's focus on BEATING Pigsy first. We
can come back afterward. Head forward until he challenges you and then...

 1. Jump up and veer left. Take the left box-y area and start heading up (you
    will get the scene with Pigsy using his grappling hook). Continue up and
    right to the walkway.
    
 2. Head down the walkway, cut left and jump over to the vertical board. Head
    up and follow the walkway to the left until you get the scene with the
    walkway falling.
    
 3. Jump the gap and head up (BE SURE TO GRAB THE ORB HERE - You can't get it
    later without replaying the chapter). Keep following the walkway as it
    bends and jump over the girters to the pipe. Climb up to another walkway.
    
 4. Head up the ramps! This part is very straight forward, just keep on
    plowing ahead (ignoring orbs) until you can jump up to a higher platform
    on the left. Head right and jump up to a pipe.
    
 5. Climb up and start heading LEFT. You'll snake around the structure on
    handhelds (linear path) until you can head up to a higher walkway. Do
    so and run forward.
    
 Follow these steps and you should have that trophy easily!
 
 
 As for orbs, after the cut-scene and being grappled down by Pigsy we can now
focus on orbs. You can head over to the right side where your race track was
and grab an orb to the right of the higher platform. There's also THREE orbs
up higher if you didn't grab them earlier. You can head down the path you
came up on to find several more orbs (I found four).

 We can't go down this way though so go back and follow Pigsy picking up
another orb. You'll have to ride his grappling hook soon, after that grab
two more orbs and keep following him (those orbs may not be there if you
grabbed them earlier). We're near the start of the area. Follow the walkway
and head down to the starting area. There's an orb down here too if you didn't
get it earlier. Follow Pigsy as watch as he tries to say he won the race. He
will soon lead you and trip to the door down here and then you can open it up
to continue.


 Inside grab the Health Vial and orb and let Trip open the way forward. Grab
the three orbs to the left and watch the scene. We'll be playing with walkways
here. Drop down to Trip and gather the orbs (3) then use the wheel. She'll
ask you to throw her across after that. Find the pipe in the area on the outer
wall and climb up it to find a path over to Trip. Follow it and once you get on
the same platform go grab the orb to the left and then throw Trip across.

 Follow her and drop down to the wide open area. Grab the orbs here (six) and
use the wheel to get Trip up high once more. THIS starts a fight with another
Demolition Mech, but he's not alone! He'll be joined by two regular mechs as
well. You of course have Pigsy helping out but still your goal is to enrage
the Demo Mech (shoot him in the face) and have him charge against the middle
hydraulic structure. You can then do an easy takedown on him. There's some
health in the area if you need it.

|  This is a good place to go for this trophy. You've likely already got      |
|  quite a few headshots in already with your previous encounters with the    |
|  demolition mechs (especially if you've been following the guide and        |
|  following our notes). Pump in as many headshots as you can here to have    |
|  a very good chance at getting this trophy right about now.                 |

 Once the fight is done Trip will knock down a pipe for you. Climb it and
throw Trip across the gap. Follow her to the supercharger and grab all the
orbs along the way and in the room. Follow her back down to the wide open
area and throw her over back to the first area. Go let her back down. You
will see a scene where Pigsy furnishes a bomb to continue on. Shoot it and
follow the path, grabbing the orbs and opening the door to continue on.


 In this new area grab the orbs and continue until you are asked to throw
Trip up. Do so and she'll open the way for you. Use the pipes and handhelds
to continue until you hit a gear. Trip will start up the gears and let you
get past them. Naturally you have to use a bit of basic timing here but this
is easy stuff as you make your way to the next walkway.

 Pigsy will throw a bomb for you to shoot and let Trip across. She'll start
up the hydraulics. Jump to the first one and get up, then use L1 and have
Trip move it. Jump to the next one and down and move it again. Jump to the
next one and move it again and you'll be able to meet up with Trip.

 Now from here BACKTRACK down the path they went down and once you jump
the gap look for a pillar near the walkway to jump onto. Jump up and gather
up the orbs from the upper walkway then head down. Keep backtracking to the
point where you threw Trip up for a big cluster of orbs and [_MASK 18/26_].

 Head back now and once you pass the console look to the right-hand wall
for a handheld to jump to. Jump to it and head up to find some more orbs
and a Health Vial. Jump back down and follow Pigsy to another door that you
have to open.


 Grab the obvious orbs as Pigsy explains the factory a bit. Head forward
until you see a scene where Trip scans the area. There's a bunch of mechs
here for us to fight with. Gather the orbs that you can and get ready. Once
Pigsy gives the OK snipe one of them and start the battle. Try to aim for
taking down the defect one so you can blow the others up.

 Once you're done gather the orbs (don't forget the one on the left), use
the nearby health if you need to and follow Trip. Throw her up when you can.
She'll move the bridge for you. Head down and and follow the path across
from you as it snakes its way across the struts to the left and up to the
walkway. You'll notice a lower platform with orbs on your way up: once you
get on the upper walkway you can drop down to this lower platform. Do so.
This does mean you have to retrace your steps back to the upper walkway but
its worth it.


 On the upper walkway you'll encounter a turret. Have Trip use her decoy and
follow the path across the steps. Stop behind the furthest safe area until the
turret loses you and then keep going. Follow the handhelds until you are
ready to flip up to the walkway and then have Trip use decoy again so you can
head up and take the turret out. Once you take it out check behind it to find
an easy to see [_MASK 19/26_]. Last mask of the chapter! Nice!


 Now have Trip move the bridge for you. Cross over and use the lever when you
can to help Trip out. She'll point out the next lever for you to use. Look
behind you for a shining pipe and follow it and the next handholds to make
your way to a new walkway (it's a linear path). Push the junk out of the way
and jump over, then go use the next lever. Wait for her to get on and hit it
again. Once she gets off hit it one more time!


 We have to get over there now. Drop down and follow the path across from
the area you threw here up to get to the walkway. Follow the bridge to the
right and use the handhelds to continue on (once again: linear path). Along
the way though Trip will mention she hears mechs! Hurry up and soon you'll
see a scene showing the mechs grab her and her using her EMP! Quickly get up
and over to her and start destroying the mechs while they are shocked!

 Once you've killed them DO NOT throw Trip up. Instead head back down twice
and search a platform covered in sunshine for a single orb. Once you grab
it feel free to throw Trip up again.


 Now just enjoy the rest of the chapter's cut-scenes. They are quite funny!

 The opening cutscene here is kind-of neat. Old Pigsy sees what he wants to
I suppose. Heh.

 Once you have control, turn around and look to the right for a pipe leading
out to a large group of orbs. Up ahead we're about to get into a big fight
with ranged mechs. There's going to be a ton of them, but they give you a TON
of Plasma and Stun ammo (as you can see). Head forward and start the fight.
Take cover behind all the cover here and pop up to take care of the mechs
one by one. Pigsy will help out and try to make a game out of it. This fight
(and the one after it) are a good area to focus on the trophy below:

 Take care of the first wave of mechs (being sure to stun and destroy the
shielded ones) and you'll kill them all off. Gather up the orbs and ammo below
and then follow Trip past a barricade to a second similar area. Ready for round
two? We are basically going to face the same thing here.

 This area is a tad different as there are multiple platforms you can climb up
to to the left. I like to hide behind cover for the first part and take out the
obvious foes, then when it lets up climb up the first platform on the right and
fight from there.

 Once the fighting is over head down to the ground and gather up the ammo and
orbs. Now head to the first platform on the left and gather up the ammo/orbs,
then jump over to the platform with the Health Vial. Follow this path around
as it curves to a large group of orbs and [_MASK 20/26_]. Nice. Drop down and
head onward, picking up the orb and heading into the door to start a scene.


 Once it is done pick up the orb and follow Trip as you pick up the obvious
orbs along the way. Did you notice the eye on the first destroyed mech will
follow you? Creepy! When you get to the spot where Trip jumps to the light
green arm, head TOWARDS the camera to find an area you can jump to that has
an orb. That's not all though: there should be a pipe here you can climb up
that leads to three more orbs and [_MASK 21/26_]. Cool!


 Head back down now and follow Trip. Be sure to grab all the orbs to the
right and then follow Pigsy as you drop down. More orbs of course, but there's
some mechs down here too. Get ready and shoot them when you want, then take
out whatever remains (or just shoot them all). Man, I love Pigsy's comments
in this section!

 Gather up the orbs and continue on. You'll see a quick scene with a mech
hand (kinda cool) and then you can walk out to the arm. Gather up all the
orbs out here, making sure to check the sides. As you go forward you will
see a scene.


 Time for a BOSS FIGHT!
 
 
 This big guy is the RHINO. His main (and only) attack is to charge at you,
over and over. In fact, if you can get through this fight without getting hit
by his charge attack you'll get a trophy:

|  You get this trophy by not getting hit in this fight. Easier said than     |
|  done. This comes with practice, to be honest. The biggest tip I can give   |
|  you is to "Restart Last Checkpoint" if you do get hit. Also, during the    |
|  fight you'll HAVE to watch some scenes. As soon as these scenes end, be    |
|  sure to jump on your cloud and evade right away!                           |

 OK, onto the fight. During the start of the fight jump on your Cloud and
zip around the walls of the area, noting how he attacks. We are combing the
walls of the area for the many orbs here as well as the Plasma Ammo.

 Soon you'll see a scene with Pigsy throwing out a bomb. IMMEDIATELY get
ready to shoot the bomb, but wait until the Rhino passes over it. This will
damage it. Get to the other side and wait for it to charge at you, then get
away and move to the other side of the arena. Another bomb should be ready.
Get off the Cloud and hit it again. Do this three times until you hear Pigsy
mention we aren't doing enough damage.


 This will spark a scene showing Pigsy pushing a gas tank into the field. As
soon as you have control IMMEDIATELY jump on your Cloud and evade the charge
(tricky!). Now we have to get the Rhino to charge the gas tank. Lure him to
the opposite side of the field and then get in front of the gas tank. I like
to get OFF the cloud here and manually roll away as he charges the tank. This
is naturally dangerous but I find he never hits me as the scene showing him
getting hurt seems to take over.

 After the first tank we'll have to shoot at a second one. We will have to
shoot at it THREE TIMES, so be wary of the Rhino, wait for it to charge, and
the quickly get off the Cloud and shoot. Do that three times to drop a tank
down, then get him to ram the second tank.

 The third tank is high up on a finger. Pigsy will throw a bomb on said
finger, so shoot it and then climb the pole you find. Climb it all the way
up and you'll soon see a scene. Watch the scenes that play as Monkey and
Pigsy go at it. Soon the Rhino will take off with Trip! Chase time!


 Ugh, another chase. Not fun for a guide-writer! Like the last Dog chase,
there are ORBS on this chase that we only have this on chance to get, meaning
that if you want perfection you should follow my orb list below and be ready
to restart. Let's do this.


 [BK:] Again I torture myself for you all to make sure you have a perfect
       checklist of tech orbs. Oh the humanity! Have I mentioned you can
       say thanks on Facebook yet!?


 Step 1: Hit the beginning speed boosts and watch out for the first four
         orbs. They are in the way so they are easy to grab.
 
 Step 2: Soon you'll see some debris forcing you to the right: there are
         five more orbs to get here. Again, they are in the way and are
         easy to nab. Stick to the right and aim to head up the slope on
         the right.
         
 Step 3: This sloped area is a bit tricky, mostly due to the jumps you
         have to make. There are two short jumps here and one jump at the
         end from high up. There are EIGHT orbs here: SIX on the ground
         from the start of the slope to the last jump and TWO in the air
         as you jump off the last jump!
         
 Step 4: As you land from the last jump you'll be forced to take a bridge
         in the center of the screen. This leads to another series of jumps
         and orbs. There is a total of NINE orbs in this stretch of the
         course but they are all pretty much in the main path. If anything
         I'd err to the right... slightly.
         
 Step 5: Once you fall down and enter the canyon area, there are FOUR more
         orbs in the main path. DO NOT take down the Rhino until you grab
         them (take him down right after!).


 Watch the scenes afterward. Time to fly!

|          them and then go explore the room they came from to find this one. |

 Some good cut-scenes here. I particularly like the "500 Miles Later" text
combined with Pigsy's comment. Heh.
 
 Grab the obvious orbs as we head forward. You'll get a scene soon. Yep,
we're going to steal that...

 Grab the five orbs in this room and Trip will open the nearby door. You
get another scene here. Pigsy will run off to the right. Head to the left
and nab five more orbs and then follow him. He'll lower your down a level
where you can grab two more orbs and head across the bridge.

 As you do so you'll see a scene of Pigsy messing up. Trip will tell you she
can power up the rail system so use L1 and tell her to power it up (you have
to do this the first time). This results in the sub being blocked by a cart.
She'll scan the area now and point out two consoles above you for flipping the
carts directions around.

 Head across the bridge and gather the orbs, then go right and gather two more
orbs. Take the nearby pipe up and follow the path to a walkway where two more
orbs and a console await. Have here REVERSE power to get the cart to the left
over to you, then jump aboard. Now have her use FORWARD power to ride the cart
back to the tunnel. Back here you can grab [_MASK 22/26_] and a mess of orbs!


 Jump back on the cart and ride it (REVERSE) to the walkway. Get off and use
the lever to change the cart direction, then jump back on and tell it to go
FORWARD. This lets you move up and also lets you jump to the next cart. Do
so and then tell her to REVERSE so you can travel to the other side. Jump off
and collect the orbs, then flip the cart here.

 Now we have to get back to the first console. Easy enough. Jump on the cart
and go FORWARD. This leads to a pipe you can climb to get on the upper catwalk
which has some orbs on it. Follow it to the end and jump down (more orbs!) all
the way to the first console. Now have it go REVERSE and then flip the cart so
you can tell it to go FORWARD and get to the sub.


 Very nice. You get a scene now. Once you can head to the lower walkway (its
the same way as you got up here) and then straight. You'll jump some gaps
and find a way to head further down. Pigsy will blow the door open. We'll
need to follow the sub on foot. Heh.

 Once you get past the first door you'll be in a large room with some mechs.
Stun them both and shoot them. Grab the two orbs from your left and then the
orbs and Stun Ammo on the right. Follow the right path and drop down for
some Plasma Ammo. Drop down again. We have to raise the bridge! Gather the
three orbs here, go past the bridge and grab the orbs and Stun Ammo over
there as well. BEFORE using the console look nearby for a pipe to climb. This
leads to where one of the mechs was but also has a single orb that would be
easy to miss. Grab it and then use the console.

 Jump to the nearby pipe and head down. Down here you'll see two shielded
mechs come out. Get a charge ready and greet them. Take them out and get
ready for two more mechs. These ones don't have shields so you can Plasma
them if you wish. Either way soon you'll see a "WEAKPOINT SCANNED"
notification which means we need to shoot out some fans for Pigsy (lest he
get chopped up). We have to do this twice and then we have to take out two
ranged mechs, the we are free to explore.


 Gather up the orbs on the first platform and jump over the gap to the next
big platform to gather up some more obvious orbs. Follow the path and head
down another level. Gather the orbs and two ammos down here. Soon two more
mechs will pop out. You can shoot them down if you wish but they'll likely
rush you (unless you are out of sight). Take them out and gather up the orbs
while heading down the ramp. Two more mechs will pop out at the bottom, so
be ready and take them out. Gather the orbs, cross the bridge and then use
the console.

 Now use the nearby pipe and head down to a lower walkway. Head to the end
of it for a group of three orbs and then head to the hull door. Watch the
(admittedly disgusting) scene here. Ewww...


 Once the doors open get ready for a fight. There will be two shielded mechs
and a blade mech rushing your position, so be ready to fight. After you take
them out aim for a ranged mech in the distance (straight ahead) and another
one below you and to the left. Take them both down. Check the left side here
for two orbs and some Plasma Ammo, then head right. Gather up the three orbs
here and watch a Stun Mech come out and rush you. Take him down as well.

 Head down the platform past the door he came out of and check the right wall
for a handheld! Take it up to an upper walkway. Up here there's a Health vial
to the left and some orbs and Plasma Ammo to the right. Gather it all up and
head back down.

 Keep following the path and once you jump the gap get ready for another
shielded mech to rush you. Take him out and then take out the ranged mech
up above. Jump another gap and watch a scene. The sub is lowering!

 OK, we have to be quick here. Two more mechs will come out from a lower
door. Take them out quickly with plasma shots. Now gather the orbs up here
(and health if you need it) then head down the ramp. Quickly grab the orbs
and Plasma Ammo down here and head for the door the mechs came out of. In
this small room you can jump over the box to find [_MASK 23/26_] in the
corner. Grab it and head back out to the mission marker.


 Enjoy the chapter's ending scene.

 Inside the beast! We have to unshackle this things legs before we can do
anything with it. Sounds like fun.

 Follow Trip through the door and head up the ramp. Trip will find a console
so of course she'll stay by it. She'll program the Dragonfly to lead the way
while Pigsy heads up without us. Gather the orbs here. You can get two of them
by jumping across a pipe and running to them. Once you have the orbs head to
Trip's right and at the large gear you'll need to time your jump to get past
it. Follow this path to a pipe and a flame vent. It will spit out two small
fires and one big one. Get past it after the big spit of fire and head up to
a walkway.

 Follow the path and you'll need to jump past the gear again (easier this
time) and then at the end to the right are some poles. More heat traps. Two
in a row this time. Let the first one stop and give it a slight second before
going and you'll be ok. At the end of the path is a wall of flame. After a
short cut-scene Trip will open the way forward. Follow it left and up to get
to Pigsy.

 Pigsy will throw out a bomb. Grab the ammo and blow it up. Blow up the
second one. Now you can jump onward, just watch out for the giant gear and
time it right. Past the gear check behind the box on the left for three orbs.
Grab the health if you want and take the right way upwards. Grab the orb here
and in the next room we'll find the first coupling.

 Grab the ammo here and Pigsy will show up to set up the bombs. He'll set up
a total of FOUR of them.  You have to shoot them out as the gear goes, so try
and shoot when the spokes pass. If you hit a spoke a second quick shot will
get the bomb. There will be two upper ones and two lower ones (left and right).
Get on each side of the gear and shoot all of them out.

 The alarm will sound and Pigsy will jump down. DO NOT follow him. Look to the
left of where the ammo was and climb up the pipe. Now jump down to the left
for a single orb. You can now jump down again towards the gear to find
[_MASK 24/26_]. Nice! There's a handheld nearby you can use to get up so you
can jump back down to the main area.


 Continue on now up the ramp with Pigsy. Head up when you can. Instead of
heading right go LEFT and drop down. This leads to [_MASK 25/26_]! Very easy.
Only one more left in the next chapter! Getting close to done! Head back up
and head onward and we'll need to jump over the barrier. You have to wait
for the blades to pass, but its easy to do it right after. Jump down when you
can and Pigsy will open the way forward with some bombs. Grab the ammo and
shoot them, then follow the path past the gear. We'll have to get past another
blade area but then you can make your way to the firefly.

 Grab the orbs and head up. Drop down and we'll be able to blow the second
coupler. Pretty much the same stuff but in a "+" pattern now. Also, some of
the spokes are MUCH wider. I think this makes it easy to shoot since you can
blast as soon as the wide spoke passes but that's me. Afterward follow the
firefly and grab the orbs before following Pigsy.

 You'll have to have Trip disable some fire again. Climb the pole and to
the right are three flame traps. Wait for the first to finish and head to
the right without stopping to make it past. This leads to an elevator that
Pigsy is on but BEFORE joining him check out each side for some orbs. EACH
side of this area has some struts you can jump to to gather up all the orbs
on top of them. Grab them all and take the elevator.


 Time to head to the other two couplings. Follow Trip as she opens doors and
activates elevators. Soon you'll be in a new room and can see where the last
two couplings are. Trip will send out the firefly again. Grab the Plasma
Ammo here and go up the pipe to a walkway. Check to the left for an orb and
follow the walkway for another. Pigsy will help out with a bomb so blow open
the grate and jump over.

 We now get to do some fun platforming. This place IS dangerous though. Cross
over to a walkway and jump on the rung. Here that are flame traps AND a gear.
When the gear's about to hit its open spot AND the flames stop go like there
is no tomorrow. Head up for more flame traps and another gear in the distance.
You can start earlier here but time it so you hit the open gear as you go.
Head up and you'll see a pillar with handhelds on it. WAIT until some metal
casing crashes down and then raises up. You can go once it is done crashing
down: head up twice and to the right to reach a platform with an orb on it.

 This next part is easier. Two more flame traps ahead, but we have struts
here so its easy to get by. Follow the path to another pillar. Wait for the
metal to crash down and use it to head right to the wall. Move right to the
next wall and now we need to head down. There's gears in the way but they
have holes so drop once the gap shows up. Keep heading down and then left to
reach a pipe leading to the walkway above.


 Grab the health and orbs here and continue on. You'll see a scene with
Pigsy. Grab the orbs and follow the firefly to a pipe. This path leads to a
walkway where Pigsy will start throwing bombs at the coupling. You can easily
shoot the upper two bombs from this walkway but to get the lower two easily
look for a pipe leading out to a center gear. Take it to get some ammo, an
orb, and a good vantage point for the lower two bombs. Take them out and
then check behind you for a drop leading to another orb.

 After that make your way back over to the walkway and jump to the pipe.
On the vertical pipe head all the way down and drop down to the walkway as
you can find three orbs down here. Climb back up the pipe and jump over to
the pipe on the right. Follow this path to the last coupling.

 Here pick up the ammo and get ready to shoot the bombs. One of the spokes
here is HUGE but this isn't that hard. From this first platform you can shoot
every bomb but the northwestern one easily. To shoot that one use the pipe to
the left to get to the other platform (make sure you do this anyway as there
is an orb over here).


 Once you free the last coupling you'll see a scene and then you'll magically
be transported back to the first room we entered in this half of the Leviathan.
Huh. Anyway, head back to the elevator and into the central power room to see
a scene. We now have to head upward (Note: If you haven't bought "Focus Attack"
yet, now would be a grand time to do so). Just as the camera showed you, use
the steel pipes to head left (or right I suppose) and head up to the upper
level.


 Up here we have to PROTECT power cores as Trip powers them up. This is a bit
tricky but fun. Some tips:

 o Mechs will often focus on hurting the power core, meaning you can get
   in the first strike and combo more often than not.
   
 o There will be some ranged mechs but Plasma Ammo and Stun Ammo will
   regenerate in the area.
   
 Mechs will soon burn their way in. Before they do so look around to your
left (or right) and find the two groups of three orbs near the wall. Grab
them. Now the first power core will come down. Mechs will come out near the
orbs, so get ready for them. You can shoot them down as they come or fight
it out, your call, but I would heavily advise saving some ammo for later as
it can come in handy.

 Once you defeat the first wave a second power core will come down and the
mechs will start coming out of the side now. Yikes! Note that the second one
coming down opens up more floor space and leads to a stand-alone orb, so be
sure to grab it and then defend the core from the mechs that come out. After
defending the core watch for mechs to attack the first one again and go kill
them (I'd still save my plasma ammo). Keep protecting the two cores and soon
a third one will come down!


 This third one opens up more space and leads to TWO new stand-alone orbs
and a new health pack. Up above you on the left hand side will be two ranged
mechs as well, so take them out. Now protect the third core. Once you kill
the attackers head to the first core. Use up some ammo here if you wish and
remember it regenerates. Head over there for the orbs and whatnot as well,
then protect the second core again until you kill everything off. The fourth
core will now lower.


 No more new goodies, just a battle. Two ranged units will show up: one on
each side, so take them both down. Follow that up by protecting the fourth
core right away. Now just simply circle the area protecting the cores until
you've defeated everything.

 Enjoy the cutscenes afterward. They are pretty cool.

 Once you regain control you'll get a message: THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO
UPGRADE. Naturally, the end of the game is coming up. You likely don't have
enough orbs for the below trophy, but you can always replay chapters and
acquire enough orbs to get it so I'm going to place it here anyways:

 Done upgrading? Good.

 Head outside and grab the orb on the left. You'll see a scene with some
leeches grabbing on. Grab the Plasma Ammo and shoot them off. You'll then
have to fight a couple of mechs. Take them down and you'll see a scorpion
mech in the distance. Heh. Grab the rest of the orbs and ammo and head to
the end of the walkway.

 Jump out to the handhold by the wires (you can alternately use a pipe from
the walkway to get higher up and then take this path) and head left. This
leads to another platform. More leeches will show up so take them down.
Gather the ammo and orbs here and then jump up to the handhold on the wall.
Wait for the fire trap above you to finish and then jump to it and quickly
jump to the left. Follow this path as it leads to another platform, watching
out for the fire traps.


 Once you get to solid ground a scene will play. Well damn, old scorpy
(that's his official name) wasn't alone. More leeches will come in so be
ready. One in front of you and two behind you. You can shoot all three of
them down before the mechs hit you, but be ready to fight three mechs as
soon as you shoot them down. One is a defect so you can use it to blow up
the other two if you wish.

 Once they are dead gather up the orbs and continue on. Head down the grating
(grab the orb by the gear) and drop down a bit for two orbs and a group of
three orbs. Jump past the gear when you can for more orbs and a room. Clean
the room out and then use the pipe to get further up. On this higher floor
check behind you for more orbs and then go outside once you got them all.

 Pigsy will fire the cannon again. Another one down. Some mechs will show up
to party though. Take them out. One has a defect so you can use it to blow up
the other ones if you wish. Once they are dead grab the orb in the corner then
turn around and face the door. You'll see a path off to the right with an orb.
Go grab it and jump on the pipe to reach a lower area to find another orb and
the last [_MASK 26/26_]. If you've been following the guide this should be the
very last orb and mask of the game:

 Head back up and follow the path. The camera will show you the way down.
Head down to a pipe and note the fire traps to the left. Once the first one
stops jump over and head down when you can. Grab the Stun Ammo and follow
the path. This entire path is very linear, so keep going and avoid the very
obvious flame traps. You'll eventually head up and come to a room with two
Plamsa Ammo in it. Just chill here as Pigsy fires the cannon again (the pause
between getting here and cannon fire is a bit weird).

 Once he's done the door will open. Exit and follow the path upwards. You'll
have to kill four more leeches here. Take them out and continue on, heading
up. At the top some mechs will come fight. These mechs mean business, so go
full out on them! The stun mech that comes out is defected, so take it down
with a takedown to stun all the mechs in the area (which helps a lot).

 Once you take them out advance forward to see a scene. Looks like one of
the buggers got through. He'll rip the cannon off and climb up near us. We
have to face another wave of mechs (again, the stun mech is defective) so
take them out and afterward Trip will point out our next objective.


 Collect the orbs/ammo/health and jump the gap. Head to the right and use
the wheel to start a gas leak, then shoot the gas. Fun. Hide behind the pipe
now and kill a ranged mech to the left. Stay hidden until Trip points out a
hydraulic system. Head down to the middle and jump onto it. Follow the path
until you get to a platform and are shown three marks to shoot. Shoot all
three of them and then QUICKLY retreat using the path you came in on back to
the middle area.


 You'll face more melee mechs here. Take them out and watch for a defect
stun mech to use. After that Trip will identify the next gas wheel, so go
use it and shoot the gas again. Another set of hydraulics (to the east this
time) will pop up, but they are guarded by a mech. Take the mech out and use
the hydraulic path to get up and shoot the scorpion's arm again. Once again,
QUICKLY retreat using the path you came in on back to the middle area.


 Watch the scenes here as the scorpion moves to the back. We can shoot two
spots on the right but watch out for mechs as you do so (you can get them
both before battling, but it is unnecessary and hard). Take out the mechs and
finish up the right side to find three more spots to shoot on the left.

 Now here's the trick: only two of those spots are easy to hit from here.
If you hit L1 you'll see a path leading down to the left. The tail laser fires
here often though, so wait for it to finish firing and quickly head over there
and jump to the pipe. Head down ASAP (one hit from the laser is instant death)
and make your way to the lower platform and shoot the final mark.


 This makes three marks appear on the tail. Fun. You can get one of them from
down below fairly easily so do so and then head back up. Be careful of the
tail laser! Once you are back up here watch out for mechs and shoot the middle
mark. The last mark (closest to the tail) is best shot from the far right.

 Watch the scene now and we'll have to make our way to the icon. There's a
gap here we have to jump. Wait for the laser to finish firing and jump the
gap. Make your way to the mark and hit circle for a takedown.


 That's really all there is to the rest of the chapter. The rest is just
scenes. There's quite a few of them, so sit back and enjoy. You'll finish
off this chapter and then get to enjoy a VERY eye-opening epilogue.


 Wow... just wow. Pyramid makes a lot more sense now. Perhaps my opening
quote at the beginning of the guide holds some special meaning now? What
