How do I unlock the enhanced characters?

As far as I can tell, you get the enhanced forms simply by completing battle zone with the non-enhanced version of the character. Example: To unlock the enhanced version of Super Saiyan 3 Broly, clear a battle zone with Super Saiyan 3 Broly.
It appears that not all characters have an enhanced version, though.

If you happen to look closley at the scroll bar next to the enhanced character selection screen.You will notice there is plenty of room for eleven rows of six.I have unlocked 52 of them.i belive the larst fourteen must be done in the alternate paths.
