what's up with Cell/Janemba's Smash High broken follow up?

when you do Smash High > X with these players, the Down Level 2 Charge Attack completely fails. Is there any way around this?

No not Xbox controls..... example, on PS3, choose any perfect Cell or Super Janemba and go into training. Do a Smash Attack High (Up + Triangle) then press X to follow up.... it should result in a Down Charge Attack Level 2.... now this will work fine for Goku (SS2 & 3), Kid Buu and other characters with the same move set, but about 85% of the time when I use Cell Perfect or Super Janemba, it just hits them in a way that allows my opponent to get away.

ok thanks for responding, but I'm sure it's a level 2 charge attack. It's impossible to have a charge attack level 1 follow up (seeing as charge attacks are not smash attacks LOL), but yeh you're right about them being glitchy. From now on for me, if I use a smash High with those 2 guys it's air combo time.

huh? strange since i don't really know what you mean unless you are talking about 360 controls. x is rush attack blast and smash high must be the up-triangle and square followed by square-hold.

Well the fighting style they have prevents it :( like dodoria jump-rush attack prevents him from continuing the combo as he will pause for a bit. I don't know why it is like that but again certain people have certain styles like videls high chase combo as well as cell jr. having slightly longer combos. Also, videl is the only character with a pink bacground for the chase and lss/ss3 broly is the only character with the green bacground.

Well janemba and perfect cell are the most glitched characters in the game. The follow up is actually a charge attack level 1 so make a quick cancel to rush attack. It does suck though either way. Janemba also has a broken smash attack 3 and perfect cell has a glitched charged ki blast. Every variation of cell's charged ki blast does the same damage. Also, it is obviously the strongest and fastest of any ki blast.

Really it is the game and its many glitches. Look at Tien's jumping charged ki blast. It is not a charged blast but rather a regular ki blast with the same damage. Weird huh?
