    in DarkStalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower for PlayStation
    Portable and it's also applicable for Vampire: DarkStalkers
    Collection for PlayStation 2 and Vampire Chronicle for Sega
    Dreamcast (imported only as released exclusively in Japan) 
    so don't expect anything answered like "Which character is 
    top-tier?", "What's the differences between each type of 
    character?", "How do I get unblockables?" or "How do I
    get through the Chaos Tower?". There are already FAQs
    located in Gamefaqs regarding character differentials so 
    please look at those. If this is not the information you are

    Background Information:
    Deep within the mountains of Romania lies a castle that 
    appears only on a full moon. The castle, named after the 
    owner of the land, was called Zeltzereich. This castle 
    belonged to a Makai noble, Demitri Maximoff. 
    
    Roughly 100 years ago, he had challenged Berial Aensland. 
    He lost the battle and was exiled from Makai to the human 
    world with his castle. Sunlight was something that was 
    troublesome for people of Makai. Especially for Demitri, who 
    was wounded severely from his battle with Berial. If he were 
    to be directly exposed, his body would be destroyed from 
    the inside and he would disappear. 
    
    To avoid the sunlight and humans, he used what he had left 
    of his powers and created a field to cover his castle. He used 
    this field to recover his strength and heal his wounds. For 
    50 years, he stayed within his casket. As he slowly regained 
    his strength, he would step out only one a full moon with a 
    field around his body. 
    
    By this time, there were already people that would wonder 
    into the castle. They would somehow hear rumors of treasure's 
    within the castle. They would bring crosses, stakes, garlic, 
    holy water and silver bullets thinking they were safe and 
    recklessly attack Demitri. Demitri couldn't help but smile as 
    such weapons had no effect on him. To Demitri, humans 
    were a low class vulgar race, but he enjoyed their blood. He 
    enjoyed the blood of innocent girls the most. To him, it was 
    like drinking the best wine in Makai. Those who had their 
    blood sucked by Demitri had their body and soul poised 
    with evil. They would become loyal servants to Demitri. 
    Currently, 40 people settle in Demitri's castle and care for 
    Demitri. 
    
    When Demitri recovered 80% of his powers back, he was 
    able to temporarily create an aura around him that would 
    protect him from sunlight. Demitri had conquered both night 
    and day and had no weaknesses. There was no means for 
    humans to defeat him. After 100 years of humiliation for his 
    loss, he had gained alot. He acquired various new abilities 
    and knowledge. The Prince of Darkness steadily readied 
    himself to take over Makai once again. 
    
    The presence of an alien life form on Earth was an unexpected 
    event for Demitri. Demitri seized this opportunity to further 
    gain strength and fought against Pyron and consumed the 
    alien life form. He was confident that he was strong enough 
    to challenge and defeat the ruler of Makai, Berial. 
    
    When he returned to Makai, he found out that Berial had 
    died and his daughter, Morrigan, had taken heir to the 
    Aensland family and the ruler of Makai. As Demitri prepared 
    himself to challenge Morrigan, he and his castle were sucked 
    into the Majigen by Jedah. Believing that defeating Jedah 
    was an important step, he went off to face Jedah. 
    
    About 'Real' Vampires:
    An undead that rises from the grave during the night to 
    drink the blood of the living in order to stay alive. Generally 
    the word undead refers to a creature that should be dead 
    but is still active within the realm of the living. The word 
    Vampire comes from the Slavic word obyri or obiri, which 
    evolved into the Bulgarian word Vampir. Although sources 
    differ greatly, some say that the Greek word nosophoros, 
    which means plague-carrier, that evolved into the Old 
    Slavonic word nosufur-atu is a synonym for the word 
    Vampire. In our culture, the words Vampire and nosferatu 
    are interchanged often. 
    
    The Vampire is truly a global creature, with myths related to 
    the dead which rise to drink the blood of the living coming 
    out of cultures all around the world. From Africa to Japan to 
    Spain and the UK, the Vampire has held humans enthralled 
    for centuries. Nowhere, however, do we see more Vampire 
    folklore than in the stories of the Slavic people. Perhaps the 
    reason for this is the historically high population of gypsies 
    in that area. The migration of the gypsies has been traced 
    back across the continent to northern India, where the 
    religion had a cast of certain bloodthirsty deities, such as 
    Kali, and creatures, such as a bhutu. It has been theorized 
    that with this as a base of folklore, the gypsies picked up 
    bits and pieces of other legends as they migrated toward 
    the north-west and as a result, altered the folklore of the 
    Slavic nations. 
    
    According to legend, the victims of a Vampire either dies or 
    becomes a Vampire. Vampires could also be made in a variety 
    of ways: a child born under certain omens, a cat or other 
    animal jumping over a dead body, someone who committed 
    suicide, and practicing witchcraft are some activities thought 
    to be the cause of Vampirism. Even inanimate objects and 
    animals were thought to be able to become Vampires: 
    pumpkins, watermelons and other fruit that was left out past 
    a certain amount of time, latches that were left unlatched too 
    long, dogs, horses, sheep and snakes are among the objects 
    with Vampiric potential in older superstitions of the Slavic 
    gypsy community. 
    
    Vampires were thought to be able to take the form of a bat, 
    or many other animals, as well as a mist. They were able to 
    control creatures like rats and wolves, and the elements 
    were at their command. Some kinds of Vampires were 
    thought to be endowed with the ability to fly. Most all 
    Vampires of legend slept either in coffins, or returned to 
    the earth to sleep in their grave. Among other superstitions, 
    Vampires were supposed to need to return to the earth from 
    their homeland each night, could not cross running water, 
    could not see their reflection in a mirror, could not enter a 
    place uninvited, and could not tolerate the symbol of the 
    Christian crucifix. 
    
    In order to protect yourself from a Vampire, the cross or 
    crucifix was thought to be very powerful in the Christian 
    countries. Little is known of how holy symbols were used 
    as Vampire protection before the Christian era, however, 
    folk-cures were often employed. Garlic was the most popular 
    Vampire repellent, as well as hawthorn and the mountain ash 
    or rowan. Another defense was scattering seeds. Vampires 
    were supposed to become so involved in counting every 
    single seed that they would either lose interest or be caught 
    counting even as the sun came up. Surprisingly, silver was 
    not as traditional a protective metal as supposed in popular 
    fiction, iron was the material of choice. Iron shavings were 
    placed beneath a child's cradle, a necklace with an iron nail 
    was worn, and other iron objects were placed strategically 
    around the place needing protection. 
    
    Once a Vampire was discovered, it could be destroyed by 
    cremation, cutting off its head, exposing it to sunlight or by 
    driving a stake through its heart. Other superstitions told 
    that a Vampire could be destroyed by touching it with a 
    crucifix, drenching it in holy water and garlic, stealing his 
    left sock, filling it with stones and throwing it in a river, or 
    using a Dhampir, or a Vampire's child. Dhampirs were 
    allegedly the only people who were able to see Invisible 
    Vampires and they often took advantage of this by hiring 
    out their services as Vampire Hunters. 
    
    Vampires in Literature:
    Demitri's date and place of birth are shortly after the death 
    of Count Dracula in 1483 and in the land that Count Dracula 
    once ruled, respectively. 
    
    Vampires were popularized by the Irish author Bram Stoker 
    with his story of Count Dracula, a Transylvanian Vampire, 
    in 1897. The story was probably based on Vlad Tepes, a 
    medieval character of exceptional bloodthirst. He supposedly 
    impaled his enemies, hence his nickname Vlad The Impaler, 
    and cut off their heads. He ruled Walachia as Vlad III in the 
    15th century, which is now part of Romania. He signed his 
    letters with Vlad Dracula, which can be translated as Vlad, 
    Son of the Dragon or Son of the Devil. His father was called 
    Dracul because he had a Dragon depicted on his coat of arms. 
    
    Before Stoker, Vampire literature was rare, but existent. 
    Perhaps the most popular pre-Dracula stories were Carmilla, 
    by J. Sheridan Le Fanu; Varney The Vampire, by James 
    Malcolm Rymer; and The Vampyre; A Tale, by John Polidori. 
    
    Vampires today, as they are often portrayed in modern day 
    literature, are much different than the Vampires of old. They 
    do not necessarily have the same limitations the Vampires 
    from legends had. Garlic and crosses offer no protection 
    against them, they are supposed to be able to walk during 
    the day, and sometimes are not considered to be undead, 
    but another species of humans. They usually still have 
    extraordinary powers: their strength and speed surpasses 
    that of humans, and their senses are heightened to a 
    preternatural level. The need for blood, however, has not 
    diminished, in spite of how we have seen in the last twenty 
    years a trend toward a conscientious Vampire who is 
    tormented by his/her own humanity. 
    
    Credit for many of the modern innovations with the 
    Vampire myth must go to Anne Rice, who is the author 
    of the immensely popular Vampire Chronicles, a five book 
    series concerning a Vampire named Lestat. The first book 
    from the series, Interview with the Vampire, was made into 
    a movie in 1994, and joined the ranks of many other Vampire 
    movies made over the decades. Bela Lugosi will always be 
    remembered as the first Count Dracula on the big screen, 
    and he is primarily responsible for the popular wealthy 
    aristocrat appearance, black cape, fangs, widows peak, 
    and Transylvanian accent that is so characteristic of the 
    Vampire stereotype.

    Chaos Flare [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: QCF + P:
    Demitri's fireball. In the Vampire/Hunter version, he claps
    his hands as fire comes out. In the Savior/Savior 2 version,
    he does a backhand as a bat comes out as it fades near full-
    screen. The ES version does more hits and has more height
    on the projectile.
    
    Kuuchuu Chaos Flare [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]:
    QCF + P (in air):
    Same description as above, except it can be done in the air.
    It's also a Guard Cancel in Vampire mode.
    
    Demon Cradle [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: F, D, DF + P:
    Demitri's spinning corkscrew attack that can act as an anti-
    air and a Guard Cancel. It can be also done after dashing as 
    the move does a 45-degree angle attack. The ES version does 
    multiple hits.
    
    Bat Spin [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: QCB + K:
    Demitri teleports into the air and drills his feet using his cape
    to the opponent from above. The ES version does multiple hits.
    
    Kuuchuu Bat Spin [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: QCB + K
    (in air):
    Same description as noted above as it can be done in the
    air.
    
    Negative Strain [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: 360 + P:
    Demitri does a variation of Morrigan's Vector Drain. There 
    is no ES version of this move.
    
    EX Moves:
    Midnight Pleasure [Vampire]: QCFx2 + Px3:
    Demitri does a short dash and when it connects, he bites the
    opponent multiple times and ends with a barrage of normals.
    
    Midnight Pleasure [Hunter]: QCFx2 + Px2:
    Same description as noted above except done with Px2 instead
    of Px3.
    
    Midnight Pleasure [Savior/Savior 2]: LP, MP, F, MKx2 (2 gauges
    required):
    Same description as noted above, except that it uses two stocks
    of meter and it uses a different command.
    
    Demon Blast [Hunter]: QCFx2 + Kx2:
    Demitri releases an army of bats in front of the opponent.
    
    Demon Billion [Savior/Savior 2]: QCFx2+ Kx2:
    Demitri turns into an army of bats and does a slight dash 
    which does havoc in front of the opponent of the get caught.
    
    Midnight Bliss [Savior/Savior 2]: QCFx2 + Px2:
    Demitri does a short dash holding a rose and when it connects,
    he turns the opponent into their female form and drains their
    blood which leads to an explosion. Demitri simply blows a
    kiss right after.
    
    Darkside Master [Savior 2]: B, D, DB + Kx2:
    Demitri summons bats around him to do some extra damage.
    
    Dark Force: 
    Darkside Master [Savior]: LP + LK or MP + MK or HP + HK:
    Same description as noted above.

    2) Victor:
    
    Full Name: Victor von Gerdenheim
    Race: Frankenstein
    Country: Germany
    Year of Birth: 1830
    Height: 249cm (8'2")
    Weight: 230kg (507lbs.)
    
    Known Players to use Victor:

    Background Information:
    Victor was a creation created by a mad scientist by the
     same name. However, Professor Victor Von Gerdenheim 
    died shortly after giving life to Victor. Believing that if he 
    proves that he is the strongest in the world, the Professor 
    would accept him, Victor leaves the castle. After Victor 
    had fought many Darkstalkers, he came back to the castle 
    hoping the Professor would accept him, but the dead 
    Professor did not wake up. Instead, the prototype Emily 
    welcomed Victor back. 
    
    The two lived happily for many years until one night, 
    Emily's functions came to a stop. Victor believed that if 
    he collects many souls, he could revive Emily. He entered 
    the Majigen to collect souls with this intent. In the end, he 
    sacrificed himself by using all his powers to revive Emily. 
    
    Professor Victor Von Gerdenheim:
    Every one of his research had some kind of humane or 
    ethical problems. He was also marked as a dangerous man 
    to the council that managed medical academic research. 
    His research on Revival of Dead Cells was a completely 
    new idea in the field but was nothing more than a nuisance 
    to those who lost their rights due to it. Although he was 
    known as a weird professor, people started spreading false 
    rumors about. Rumors that he was an inhumane, publicity 
    chaser and even a drug addict. Because of these rumors, 
    the public and the council were filled with suspicion and 
    contempt. Due to the power of the council, his chances 
    to speak in public were taken away as well. Soon, he was 
    forgotten by society. 
    
    He did not continue his research for fame. It was almost 
    better that the public ignored him for his research. He 
    moved his laboratory to an old hospital in a country town 
    and spent his days in the underground laboratory. The 
    creation of life was the ultimate goal that grabbed his heart. 
    According to his research, if he obtained the right materials 
    and enough electric power, he believed that he would be 
    able to prove his research. He used any measure to obtain 
    the materials he needed. He obtained various chemicals 
    and medicines in preparation for the creation of life. After 
    moving into the laboratory, no saw him for over 20 years 
    and this isolation drove his mind into further madness. 
    His will alone made him move and called miracles. 
    
    Professor Von Gerdenheim left some pieces of writing 
    before he died At present, it is very hard to obtain these 
    books, but they covered researching the reactivation of 
    electromagnetic waves and cells, the new boundaries 
    between life and death, Arkane's Theorem about the 
    research that Professor Von Gerdenheim put forward 
    about spiritual energy, the principless of brain wave 
    phenomenon that appears under special conditions, 
    the future of studying revival, and parts 1 and 2 of the 
    uncut reports of Professor Lugendreih, the head authority 
    on organic cell research 
    
    For most of his latter days of his life, he spent his time 
    experimenting on Victor. It was very difficult to read his 
    research material when he was insane and many mysterious 
    signs were used in his writings. This is the legacy of the 
    Professor who researched the creation of life that lies 
    beyond the darkness. 
    
    About Emily's History:
    Before the Professor went into his real experiment, he 
    did many tests on human bodies. Emily was made as a 
    prototype that couldn't generate electricity by herself 
    and could only be activated once. He failed many times 
    over and over until he finally succeeded in animating 
    Emily. But she was only a doll that moved by flowing 
    electricity into her constantly. 
    
    Her limbs could move temporarily and would only last 
    for about 30 seconds. But this was still one step closer 
    to his goal of creating new life. He began to design Victor 
    who could generate electricity by itself and increased the 
    size of the body to do this. It is still unknown why Emily 
    can move like Victor after the experiment. Most likely, 
    when Victor was created, a part of the large amount of 
    electricity used to animate Victor flowed into Emily as 
    well. She was able to store a vast amount of electricity 
    in her due to an accident. 
    
    About The 'Real' Frankenstein:
    Victor's date of birth coincides with the final revision of 
    Mary Shelly's novel Frankenstein. His name is derived 
    from the mad, obsessed scientist, Dr. Victor Frankenstein, 
    who experimentally creates an artificial life, an Unnamed 
    Monster, that ultimately terrorizes the Bavarian countryside. 
    In 1931, Mary Shelly's Frankenstein was adapted into a 
    Hollywood film that launched the career of actor Boris 
    Karloff. 
    
    Command Normals:

    Special Moves:
    Gyro Crush [Vampire]: QCB, F + P:
    Victor spins around and does an electric punch. In Vampire,
    he gets an extra punch and the ES version does more
    damage.
    
    Gyro Crush [Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: QCB + P:
    Same description as above, except does a different motion
    here and doesn't have that extra punch.
    
    Mega Stake [Savior/Savior 2]: Charge D, U + K:
    Victor does a huge electrical punch that takes up majority
    of the screen. The ES version does more damage.
    
    Giga Burn [Vampire/Hunter]: QCB + K:
    Victor does an upward-knee attack. The ES version does
    more damage.
    
    Giga Burn [Savior/Savior 2]: F, D, DF + K:
    Same description as above, except does a different motion
    here.
    
    Mega Forehead [Savior/Savior 2]: Charge B, F + P:
    Victor's forehead grows as he bashes the opponent while
    charging right ot them. The ES version adds a couple more
    hits.
    
    Giga Buster [Vampire/Hunter/Savior 2]: Charge B, F + K:
    Victor does a quick running kick attack. The ES version
    adds a couple more hits.
    
    Graviton Knuckle [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]:
    D, U + P (after his P throw):
    Victor slams the opponent to the ground. There is no ES
    version of this move.
    
    High Giga Buster [Vampire]: DB, UF + K:
    Same description as Giga Buster, except it does a hop

    Background Information:
    The 12th pharaoh of a great empire. He became the pharaoh 
    at the age of 12. Foreseeing his death and revival, he created 
    a pyramid and a place for his revival. 5000 years later, he is 
    revived with the coming of Pyron. He travels 5000 years back 
    in time to rule his kingdom once more. After fighting off the 
    invaders of his kingdom, he then attacks and conquers them. 
    
    Once his kingdom is saved, he hears a voice from the far future. 
    He travels to the present time and enters the Majigen. During 
    the battles within Majigen, he learns that the destruction of 
    his kingdom and people is un-avoidable. He then returns to 
    his kingdom and transports his kingdom beneath the Earth 
    into a new dimension so that it may be free of the wars of 
    Earth.

    to be protected equally under the name of god. But, if you

    who respect heaven will be given eternal happiness. Those 
    who look down on heaven must pay the price of one's 
    foolishness with one's own life I promise my eternal rule

    Background Information:
    Felicia was a Catwoman who was taken in and raised by a 
    Sister named Rose who gave her the name Felicia from the 
    word Felicity. When Rose passed away, Felicia left her town 
    hoping to be a musical star. During her travels, she met many 
    other Catwomen of her kind. With her newfound friends, she 
    set out for her dream of being on stage. Eventually, she and 
    her friends successfully started a musical with Felicia being 
    the main star. 
    
    In the events of Vampire Savior, she wondered about how 
    she could make others happy. In the end, she constructed 
    an orphanage and became known as a Singing and Dancing 
    Musical Sister. 
    
    About Catwomen:
    The existence of a semi-human race called Catwomen was 
    something shocking for humans. Although a huge panic 
    did not occur right away. The loving look that they had 
    soothed people's rejection to them. The look that people 
    gave them was a look of interest in a rare animal instead 
    of a monster. 
    
    In America, the public voiced their opinion about how the 
    Catwomen should be recognized and respected. Soon, 
    they were given fundamental human rights. But the look 
    prejudice didn't completely disappear. The musical that 
    starred Felicia was looked at as an exhibition. But once 
    they had seen Felicia's dance and her lovely voice, the 
    fact of being human or cat-woman made no difference. 
    Felicia's loving personality was able to cleanse the dark 
    parts of humans. 
    
    The Catwomen race are born as normal human babies, but 
    around the age of 4-10, they start to grow body hair, ears, 
    and tails. And although there are individual difference's, 
    they have the ability to transform, thus enabling them to 
    hide their limbs and tails and look like a normal human to 
    avoid attention. Their sense of smell is several thousand 
    times that of a human. They use this sense of smell to 
    find other Catwomen. They also dislike sunlight and 
    usually act at night. 
    
    As the name suggests, there are no men in the Catwomen 
    race. There have been Catwomen who married human men, 
    but their children are ordinary humans. At the present 
    moment, they have no means to giving birth to any more 
    Catwomen. Most likely, the existence of the male race of 
    Catmen cannot exist in the human world. 
    
    About Felicia's Companions:
    Grace: The big one with a pony-tail. She is 48 years old, 
    24 years in human age. Born in Utah, she is the guardian 
    of Alto. She has the best skills in turning into humans 
    and can stay in that form the longest. She is like a mother 
    to Alto and likes to take care of others. 
    
    Alto: A child with a ribbon. She is 20 years old, 10 years 
    in human age. It's unknown where she was born. She was 
    kept as rare pet by a rich man but escaped. She lived in 
    the mountains like a wild beast, but was saved by Grace. 
    She is very shy and afraid of strangers. She was named 
    Alto by Grace, possibly because of her voice type. 
    
    Nana and Mimi: Children with ribbons on. They are 22 
    years old, 11 years in human age. Born in Hong Kong 
    and raised in Saitama, Japan. They were taken to Japan 
    where they snuck into a trade ship. They were found and
     raised by an understanding old couple. Both are very 
    easy going. 
    
    Nonno: Also called Tama, she is friends with Nana. They 
    became friends in the mountains behind their house. Her 
    age and background isn't clear, but she likes to hide in 
    balls and play.
    
    Pico: A child with braided hair. She is 14 years old, 7 years 
    old in human age, born in Minnesota, America. She used 
    to live in an orphanage, but after she saw Felicia's stage 
    show, she left her orphanage to seek Felicia. She found 
    out she was a Catwoman after she met Felicia. She is full 
    of curiosity and fears nothing. 
    
    Lucy: The big one with a bandanna. She is 36 years old, 
    18 in human age. Born in Virginia, she used to work under 
    a circus. When one of her few understanding human friends 
    died of a sickness, she left the circus. While she was 
    wandering, she met Felicia. She's very cynical and likes to 
    make cynical remarks. She is the strongest out of the group. 
    
    About 'Real' Catwomen:
    There are no real myths or folk tales centered on a race of 
    Catwomen. However, the inspiration for our little Were-
    Kitty is most likely a poem called Curse of the Cat Woman 
    by Edward Field that just happens to coincide with Felicia's 
    given date of birth.

    love with is of that strange Transylvanian people with an 
    affinity for cats. 
    
    You take her to a restuarant, say, or a show, on an ordinary

    catlike walk, and afterwards of course you take her in your 
    arms and she turns into a black panther and bites you to 
    death. 
    
    Or perhaps you are saved in the nick of time and she is 
    tormented by the knowledge of her tendency: That she 
    daren't hug a man unless she wants to risk clawing him up. 
    
    This puts you both in a difficult position-- panting lovers 
    who are prevented from touching not by bars but by 
    circumstance: You have terrible fights and say cruel things 
    for having the hots does not give you a sweet temper. 
    
    One night you are walking down a dark street And hear the 
    pad-pad of a panther following you, but when you turn 
    around there are only shadows, or perhaps one shadow too 
    many.

    Background Information:
    Many creatures from Makai have already flowed into the 
    human world. Many of these creatures have high values 
    for humans for items used as decorations, materials that 
    doesn't exist in the human world such as the liquid and 
    blood from the internal organs, and research for bio 
    weapons and such. The demand for these are very high. 
    The job of the Darkhunter was born to meet the demand 
    for these clients. 
    
    These hunters track down these monsters and get the 
    reward money corresponding to the creature they hunt. 
    The risk level is very high but the reward is just as high. 
    Because they hunt the creatures of the night, failure is 
    not an option. Failing would mean one thing, death. To 
    fight against these Darkstalkers, merely having a fit body, 
    martial arts skills, and fire arms are not enough. It is possible 
    for a Class C creature to kill an entire army of first class elite 
    soldiers. A strong mind and spirit is also needed to keep one 
    self from losing their own sanity is needed. And a dark heart 
    is needed so that they are not poisoned with the aura that the 
    creatures give off. 
    
    Several hundred Darkhunters are said to exist in the world. 
    Their skills varying greatly. Some of these hunters can 
    barely kill a wild beast from Makai, let alone a Darkstalker. 
    Within these hunters, B.B. Hood is a Special S Class Hunter. 
    Her dark heart was dark enough that Jedah considered her 
    a Darkstalker and pulled her into the Majigen as a worthy 
    soul. Her stare alone can cause the lower ranking Darkstalkers 
    to be filled with fear, and she is able to deflect many kinds 
    of mind attacks. It would be fair to say that she was born 
    to be a hunter. 
    
    When she was pulled into the Majigen by Jedah, she simply 
    looked around and said, "Haha, they're all mine... It's been a 
    long time since a job this big." 
    
    The Darkhunter occupation has grown considerably, though 
    it has only started within the last year. This occupation is 
    quite different from what Donovan, a half-human, half-demon, 
    does out of fate. 
    
    B.B. Hood's Routine Activities:
    Attending the conference Hunters Guild of the Northern 
    European Alpine Branch to secure part of the final profit,
    interchanging with the other Hunters is necessary. 
    
    Obtaining weapons and ammunition through illegal means. 
    A first class job requires first class materials. 
    
    Maintaining portable weapons at home. To every Hunter, 
    skipping this is suicidal. 
    
    Making gunpowder mixtures for mines. Continuously 
    researching is a sign of professional. 
    
    Going to town to buy food and clothing, and going to 
    Grandmother's house to do errands. Her girl side can be 
    seen here. 
    
    Training for controlled shooting, such as shooting 50 targets 
    while performing a 100 m (328 ft) dash. Basic training is the 
    foundation for advanced stuff. One must not forget to always 
    return to the basics. 
    
    Using the satellite Catastrophe, a camouflaged military satellite, 
    to retrieve information on Darkstalkers. Information gathering 
    is the key to the current Hunter business. One must use any 
    means possible to eliminate the target. 
    
    Enter the Dark Hunting Grand Prix held twice a year. A target 
    is decided upon and they compete to see can hunt it down 
    first. This is a competition for the Hunters to test their own 
    skills, but not all Hunters compete in this tournament. 
    
    About B.B. Hood's Companions:
    Her two year old pet dog's name is Harry. The two men who 
    appear in Beautiful Hunting are John and Arthur. It is rumored 
    that their last names are Smith and Wesson, named after not 
    only the firearm manufacturer, but also John Smith, the famous 
    pioneer hunter who fell in love with Pocahontas. However, 
    this is probably fan-made conjecture as there is no record of 
    an Arthur Wesson with any historical significance. Horace 
    Smith and Daniel Wesson founded Smith and Wesson in 
    1852.

    Background Information:
    When Bishamon was looking around in an old antique shop, 
    as if drawn by fate, he found a piece of armor and a sword. 
    At this moment, he lost his own thought. When he realized 
    where he was, he was at his house. The armor and sword 
    sitting beside him. when he went back to the store to ask what 
    happened, he found out that he aggressively forced the owner 
    to give the armor and sword to him. Bishamon himself had no 
    memory of this. It made no sense to him but as he stared at the 
    armor, it felt meaningless to him. 
    
    At the time, his wife Orin worried about Bishamon as he sat in 
    front of the armor for days. She asked him to let go of the armor 
    and sword but, Bishamon heard nothing of it. Two weeks later, 
    he decided to ignore his wife and wear the armor. 
    
    The moment he wore the armor, he came back to his senses. But 
    he realized that everything was too late and screamed with his 
    last bit of strength, "Run......Run, Orin!!" 
    
    Bishamon's mind was full of hate and accursed power. He had 
    donned Hannya, the armor of hate and Kien, the blood sucking 
    sword. He went on countless days of killing as Hannya 
    demanded more sacrifices. 
    
    When Bishamon had fought against Pyron, Pyron's energies 
    caused Bishamon to be separated from Hannya's curse. To 
    make up for his sin's, he and his wife became priests/monks. 
    The practice he had started was called "Roppoudou". This 
    practice gave it's followers a strong mind and would cleanse 
    the mind and spirit its followers. Traveling throughout Japan 
    brought peace to his heart again. 
    
    Several years later, he had stopped by an old temple. There, 
    he found writings about a separate dimension called "Makai". 
    Within these writings contained drawings depicting the armor, 
    "Hannya", and the sword, "Kien" and other creatures similar 
    to those two in what seemed like hell. Bishamon thought to 
    himself, a careless person like himself may appear again. He 
    thought that he may not be able to make up for his sins, but 
    he may be able to prevent a similar tragedy from happening 
    again. He had already walked the path of darkness, he had 
    nothing to fear. 
    
    To make contact with this, "Makai" he secluded himself within 
    a deep snowy mountain. He sat down and held the Shakujou 
    and started to meditate. When his spiritual strength had reached 
    it's peak, he could see that of a different world with the eye's 
    of his heart. He was determined to seal Hannya at any cost. 
    
    At the same time, Hannya had started to thirst for blood once 
    again. Even without having a master this time, the armor and 
    sword started to move again. They gathered all the spirits 
    around them to create a body and moved out to hunt 
    Darkstalkers and their blood. When Hannya and Kien moved 
    out, they were sucked into the Majigen. But before Hannya 
    could kill, Bishamon had caught up to him and sealed him 
    way. After these events, Bishamon had disappeared and is 
    thought to have lead a peaceful life. 
    
    Hannya, The Cursed Armor:
    Hannya was formerly a Makai beast like Zabel's companion 
    Le Malta. It is thought that it came into the human world 
    roughly 600 years ago. Oda Nobunaga had also worn the 
    armor, though its appearance was different. The armor would 
    grant its master unhuman abilities, but in return would turn 
    them into a blood thirsty killer. The armor would shine the 
    more blood it bathed. While the person wearing it would lose 
    their life slowly and slowly. 
    
    After the age of war had ended, it would travel using antique 
    shops to find new people for it to wear. 
    
    Kien, The Blood Thirsty Sword:
    In the 1580's, a sword was forged by the name of "Onikiri." 
    As a sword is used to cut a human, it's edges would dull 
    because of the fat and blood within a human body. But the 
    Onikiri became sharper as it cut more people due to the way 
    its edges were made. People feared the sword to due the 
    illusion that it would suck into a human body. It was said 
    that if the user did not kill one man a day, the sword would 
    drive it's user insane and kill them. 
    
    After the time of peace had come, the Onikiri had disappeared 
    for roughly ten years only to come back in a set with Hannya. 
    By this time, it had already been affected by the aura of Makai 
    and had changed it's own name to "Kien." The cause is 
    unknown. 
    
    About 'Real' Cursed Samurai
    Long ago, when the Shogun ruled Japan, Samurai became 
    the heroes of Japan. The most skilled Samurai became legends. 
    However, this made lesser skilled warriors jealous and zealous 
    to become legends as well. There is an ancient legend that 
    says an Evil Sorcerer took advantage of this jealousy. He 
    sought out a handful of the most skilled, but under appreciated, 
    Samurai warriors in all of Japan. He offered them a deal. He 
    would give them enhanced abilities and great combat skills 
    which would make them legends in Japan for their Souls and 
    the Souls of their offspring. It is said that more than a few 
    Samurai were willing to trade their Souls for fame and glory. 
    
    These men became known as the Soulless Samurai, the 
    Damned Ronin. They were unstoppable in battle, but they 
    found that no fame or fortune was worth the price of their 
    Souls. At anytime he wanted to, the sorcerer would remove 
    their Soul. A body without a Soul, as these warriors soon 
    discovered, is transformed into Absolute Evil. These Soulless 
    Samurai became Wraith-like creatures with an unquenchable 
    thirst for battle. While they had their Souls, they were 
    legendary warriors of Japan that children dreamed of. With 
    their Souls removed, they became hideous demon knights 
    that tormented the nightmares of children. 
    
    In a later period, Japan had changed and there was no longer 
    any need for the warriors of old. With Japan united and 
    enjoying peace, the respect the Samurai once enjoyed turned 
    to contempt. It was made illegal for the peasantry to carry a 
    sword. Many Samurai tried to rebel, but found that sword-
    wielding Samurai were easily crushed by Gun-Toting Police
    men. Many of these Samurai went into hiding and formed 
    secret societies. But, even among the most secret societies, 
    the Cursed Samurai who had sold their Souls for fame were 
    outcasts. 
    
    Many of the other warriors thought it a great honor to eradicate 
    these Demons, the Cursed Samurai, from Japan. They hunted 
    these Ronin and killed any of their offspring they could find. 
    Soon these families went into hiding. They formed a secret 
    society to pass the knowledge and skills they had learned on 
    the battlefield down to the children, so that they might be 
    strong enough to overcome the terrible curse their forefathers 
    brought on them. 
    
    It has been said that the Sorcerer told the Samurai that if they 
    were to find the greatest warrior on earth and defeat him in a 
    fair battle, they would win back their Soul. It is believed that 
    they have been searching for the world's greatest fighters for 
    centuries.

    Background Information:
    Though he is over 6000 years old he is the youngest out of 
    the three High nobles of Makai. His liquid body allows him 
    to change into any shape he chooses. He is able to absorb 
    the souls of others and can instantly increase his own 
    powers. 
    
    He was always distressed about the future of Makai. He 
    believes that if Makai left to rule by Berial, the master of the 
    Aensland family and the true ruler of Makai, then it would 
    grow old and begin to decay. Berial would most likely say 
    that that is the destiny and life. To Jedah, Berial was a 
    being who should not exist. He had always looked for the 
    opportunity to kill Berial and waited for the right time to 
    strike. 
    
    After the death of Garunan, the master of the Bosital family 
    and the oldest of the three high nobles, Jedah had a young 
    confidant named Ozomu. Simply put, he was a gourmet. The 
    reason he came under Jedah was to be able to eat delicious 
    souls. As a noble, his skills were second class, but his ability 
    to deceive others were first class. He was a genius in using 
    others. He advised Jedah about using the gate of Makai. 
    Jedah, being confident in his ability to absorb souls, agreed 
    to this. He ordered Ozomu to break a part of the seal to open 
    the gate more. 
    
    When Ozomu arrived at the gates, he realized that enormous 
    powers lied within the gates. He realizd that even Jedah would 
    destroy himself if he absorbed all this power at once and sees 
    this as his chance to take over the throne. He lies to Jedah and 
    tells him that he must destroy all the seals because little power 
    was coming out. After destroying the seals, he ran off to the 
    far reaches of Makai. The destruction of Jedah meant his rise 
    in power and his plot succeeded. Though Jedah's absorbing 
    powers were greater than Ozomu predicted, he was still 
    destroyed due to the sheer amount of power seeping 
    through. 
    
    Ozomu gathered the left over power and stored it in Dohma 
    castle. This is how Ozomu became the new master of the 
    Dohma family. The birth of Emperor Ozomu. 
    
    100 years later, after a century long sleep, Jedah was 
    revived in Makai. He felt distressed towards the crazed 
    Makai, nobles fighting each other and spilling blood. 
    Instead of anger, he felt pity towards Ozomu, who had 
    betrayed him. Jedah had already made up his mind. His 
    complete revival and the cleansing of all souls. For this, 
    a new stage was necessary. A new dimension, the 
    Majigen. 
    
    Jedah arrived at Dohma castle and saw Ozomu and laid out 
    his hand. Although his powers were not yet completely 
    restored yet, he had enough powers to remove Ozomu. 
    Ozomu had become a spineless gourmet. Ozomu's eyes had 
    fear in them. Jedah quietly whispers, "Ozomu... I am sorry, 
    but please lend me your powers. Your soul would become 
    the foundation of Majigen and will help the future of Makai." 
    
    The Dohma castle was taken into the dark space along with 
    Ozomu. This was the beginning of Ozomu's salvation. Jedah 
    believed that he was the one that needed to recreate life by 
    fusing all souls into one life form, the Shintai. To do this, he 
    summoned all those with worthy souls to enter into his 
    newly created realm. 
    
    About The 'Real' Dark Messiah:
    In Islam, the Dark Messiah, or Antichrist, is known as Dajjal, 
    the Embodiment of Evil. Dajjal appears as a short man with 
    crooked legs, the hair on his head is extremely curly and 
    twisted, he is red complexioned, fat, and blind in the right eye 
    which looks like a bulging grape. The most distinguishing 
    feature of his face besides the bulging eye will be the Arabic 
    letters Kaaf (k), Faa (f), Raa (r), on his forehead. These letters 
    spell Kufr (disbelief). All believers, regardless of their literacy 
    will decipher these letters. 
    
    Dajjal will emerge from between Syria and Iraq, and his 
    emergence will become known when he is in Isfahaan, at a 
    place called Judea. He will be of Jewish origin and the Jews 
    of Isfahaan will be his main followers and they will refer to 
    him as the Messiah. As he goes on through the world, Jews 
    and a great number of non-Jewish women will flock to him 
    upon witnessing his false miracles. 
    
    He will also have Paradise and Hell with him. Though his 
    Paradise will appear as Heaven, in reality it will be Hell, and 
    likewise, though his Hell will actually be Paradise although 
    it will appear otherwise. Those who obey the Dark Messiah 
    will enter his Paradise, and thus enter Hell, and those who 
    denounce him will enter his Hell, and so shall in reality be 
    entering Paradise. He will travel by means of a gigantic 
    mule, at impossible speeds. He will cause droughts and 
    famine upon those who reject him. But the remembrance 
    of the true Lord will satiate them. 
    
    He will remain on the Earth for a period of forty days, of 
    which the first day will be as long as a year, the second 
    day as long as a month, the third as a week and the rest 
    will be normal in length. He will try to gain entry to the 
    two holy cities Makkah and Madinah, but the angels who 
    guard them will bar him from them. From there, he will flee 
    to Syria, where he will meet resistance from the forces of 
    Imam Mahdi, the leader of the Muslims. Then shall the 
    battle between Good and Evil begin in earnest. 
    
    In Christian Theology, the appearance of the Antichrist, the 
    opponent of Christ, is believed to signal the Second Coming, 
    at which Christ would conquer his opponent. The concept 
    may stem from the idea of conflict between Light and 
    Darkness, which is present in Persian, Babylon and Jewish 
    literature and which influences early Christian Theology.

    Jedah floats in the air for a bit laughing, then tries to capture 
    the opponent and when it connects, throws the opponent
    from a higher elevation then spins his scythe wings while
    their on the floor. Easy to get attacked via opponents anti-

    Background Information:
    She is the leader of the Soul Bee race. A race that east 
    souls to live. Q-Bee stands for Queen Bee. But this is not 
    her name but a title name. Their race lived in the lands of 
    the Dohma family. But during the time when Jedah was 
    dead, her home began to crumble and her race was in a 
    crisis of dying. When Jedah was revived and created the 
    Majigen, she notices the vast amount of souls in the new 
    dimension. She heads towards the Majigen to gather 
    souls to satisfy her Soul Bee's hunger and to satisfy her 
    own hunger as well. 
    
    About The Soul Bee Race:
    In a one family of a Soul Bee race, roughly 50-150 bees 
    live The leader of the family is called Q-Bee. Q-Bee is a 
    title instead of a name. The others are either called P-Bee 
    or just Bee. 
    
    A Q-Bee works to raise the next leader of the family Out 
    of the baby bee's born, certain bee's are born with a
    honey capsule. An organ that is used to concentrate 
    and accumulate nutrition. This bee is raised to become 
    the next Q-Bee. 
    
    Within P-Bee's there are male and female with the ratio 
    being 2:8. Their physical appearance is almost identical, 
    with the male being slightly smaller. The male exists only 
    to help reproduce. A male's regeneration ability is very weak 
    compared to a female. And because the current Soul Bee 
    race has a very strong self-reproduction and regeneration 
    system, it is possible to give birth to new Soul Bee's without 
    the help of a male. In the near future, the male Soul Bee's 
    will most likely disappear. 
    
    Their true eyes are the large discs on their head What 
    seems to be their eyes on their face is actually an imitation 
    used to deceive other creatures 
    
    Their sense of touch can catch the smell of food with a 
    range that is said to reach several hundred kilometers 
    
    Their intelligence level is equal to a human baby around 
    4-5 years old They are able to carry on simple conversations. 
    
    Their appetite is the most important aspect of their behavior 
    To them, everything that moves besides themselves is food 
    that is meant to be caught. Their digestive ability is incredible 
    and their stomach is rarely upset from eating a bad food. 
    Because their metabolism is incredibly high, they will die if 
    they don't eat something. Not eating for 36 hours will kill 
    them for sure.

    were re-written in the nearest sounds to the human language.

    Background Information:
    Hsien-Ko and Mei-Lin were twins born in a family of 
    Senjutsushi's. Both of them were raised to be Senjutsushi's 
    and were taught Senjutsu. On the ceremonial night when 
    they were to become a Senjutsushi, their village was 
    attacked by Darkstalkers. The mother of the twin girls 
    gave her life to protect the sisters. But because of this, 
    the mother's soul was trapped in darkness. To release 
    their mother's soul from the darkness, Hsien-Ko uses the 
    Igyo Tenshin no Jutsu to turn into a Kuang Shi. Mei-Lin, 
    her older sister, turns into a ward to make sure Hsien-Ko 
    doesn't lose control of herself. The two set of to hunt 
    down Darkstalkers as a Darkhunter of the night. 
    
    After the two had freed their mother's soul from the 
    darkness, the two were reincarnated with the powers 
    of their mother. The two were reborn in a normal family 
    and were raised in happiness. On their 16th birthday, the 
    two sisters had awoke to their powers. These powers had 
    been passed down from the very first member of the Shao 
    family. This was their mother's way of repaying her 
    daughter's for her soul. But because the two of them 
    awoke to their powers, Jedah sensed this power and 
    deemed them as worthy souls. 
    
    The two dreamed again on the night their powers awoke. 
    It was a nightmare which was caused by Jedah's summoning. 
    Their souls were instantly transferred to Majigen. This place
    was where the Senjutsushi's and the Darkstalkers battled. It 
    was a legendary land and Hsien-Ko and Mei-Lin's homeland. 
    Their leftover bodies had no soul in them anymore. They 
    lied their side by side with no sign of life. 
    
    The two of them have no memory of their previous battle. 
    They do not know why they are in Majigen. But they both 
    feel strongly that they must win the battle to return to the 
    real world. To them, it is a weird feeling, like watching a bad 
    nightmare. 
    
    Their form in Majigen is the form which is best suited for 
    battle. The same form they took when Pyron came to Earth. 
    This is due to their mother lending them some powers.
    Though the two of them had experience as Darkhunters, 
    they were now just ordinary girls. To survive in the world 
    where demons live, they needed their powers of Senjutsu. 
    With help from their mother, they could use various arts 
    without any thought. However, the moment the two sisters 
    lost trust in each other, their powers would be lost instantly. 
    After the events of Vampire Savior, the two sisters go back 
    to the human world and go back to their normal lives again. 
    
    About 'Real' Kuang Shi:
    Geong Si, Jiang Shr (Putonghua) or Kuang Shi (Cantonese) 
    are the zombies of Chinese myth. They are caused by the 
    demonic poession of a recently deceased corpse and said to 
    have a terrifying apperance. They have physical bodies, but 
    they are not alive, nor have they will or thought. They are 
    closer to Haitian zombies than to anything else in widely-
    known Western folklore. As it matures, it gains new skills 
    with the older among them rumoured to have the ability to 
    fly. 
    
    Before the Civil War and before World War II, it was said 
    that the dead still walked the roads of rural China in parades 
    marching toward their ancestral villages. Buried away from 
    the family, a dead Chinese had no feasts, no paper clothes, 
    slaves, boats, food, or incense burnt to him, since all these 
    things are in the hands of his descendants. Such is the 
    spiritual importance of the Chinese ancestral village. 
    
    When a Chinese person dies away from home, there are 
    several ways to return his body to native earth, but the less-
    than-rich rural Chinese once used this form of underground 
    railway. A medium or priest, especially a Taoist priest who 
    had toiled in a specialized apprenticeship, would be hired 
    by the village to bring their dead home, walking them along 
    the roads, perhaps as one still sees geese herded down 
    multi-lane highways in modern China. 
    
    Spells had a part in this ritual and in controlling the dead 
    when they were made to walk, but there is nothing special 
    or extraordinary about spells in the Chinese world. A wide 
    variety of spells, usually written out on red paper called Dzi 
    Dzat, the generic name given for the paper grave goods and 
    ancestral sacrifices burnt to make a comfortable life for the 
    dead. 
    
    Paper and bamboo mansions were burnt at funerals and at 
    regular festivals. These dwellings for the spirits of the dead 
    were filled with paper representations of everything the 
    ancestors knew or had wanted in life: favorite food, books, 
    signs of rank, a pleasure boat or a young mistress, all in 
    painted and folded paper. 
    
    In some accounts of the Kuang Shi, a spell glued to the face 
    of the body is the medicine that makes it move. This method 
    is favored in popular film, since it is visible to the camera, 
    and the viewer can always tell a Kuang Shi by his label. 
    Traditional accounts do not agree on this point. In modern 
    Hong Kong film, the Kuang Shi is the slave of the character 
    of an evil Taoist priest, who launches platoons of these 
    animated corpses at heroes of kung fu and even gangster 
    movies. This picture of Kuang Shi in current film does not 
    represent their old form. Nevertheless, the Kuang Shi 
    remains one of the current, tangible, commonly believed 
    myths of old China.

    Background Information:
    Talbain was born between a human mother and werewolf 
    father. Talbain's mother died shortly after giving birth to 
    Talbain and their was no way to look for his father. 
    Although Talbain was alone, he had lived a peaceful life 
    as a human until one full moon. That night, the beast 
    within Talbain awoke and Talbain turned into a wolf. 
    This caused Talbain to be shunned from human society. 
    When he found out he was a Darkstalker, he felt no 
    anger towards his parents. To him, his parents were 
    just conceptual parents. He was alone since he could 
    remember. 
    
    He maintained his human self by cursing his fate. His 
    heart was not strong enough to accept everything and to 
    move as his heart desires. Following his inner voice, he 
    devoted himself to fighting to take himself past his limits. 
    This was part of his pride as a human to fight against his 
    other half. Believing that if he takes himself past his own 
    limit, he may be able to turn back into a human again. 
    
    After the events with Pyron, he had lifted his curse and 
    regained his human form. Although the adults did not 
    accept him anymore, the children accepted him. Although 
    he was able to sustain his human form for many years, he 
    could feel that a beast still lived within him. But this was a 
    temporary illusion that he caused. One day, he heard a 
    voice in his mind and turned back into a Werewolf. It was 
    impossible to cleanse his own blood. His will couldn't 
    change the future. 
    
    During the battles in Majigen, he came face to face with his 
    dark self within. The fate that was pulled by his battles. To 
    flee from his curse, he kept taking himself past his own limits. 
    Though there may be irreversible consequences, he had no 
    choice but to keep going forward. In the end, he realized 
    that he is a Darkstalker and decides to live his life as a wolf. 
    
    Talbain's Bloodline:
    The Kreutz family is one of the seven noble families of 
    Makai. Though its title is a noble, it would be more suitable 
    to call it an army of warriors and fighters. The current master 
    Xell stands at a height of 5meters and is a war dragon. He 
    has the most unique appearance out of all the noble classes. 
    And those who are of his family also have appearances that 
    are far from a human form. But there is no vulgarity and 
    roughness within the family. Unlike their savage forms, they 
    are all first class fighters who are highly trained. They are 
    an organized group who follow orders under strict discipline. 
    They are very loyal to their master. Failing to complete an 
    order or betrayal is paid off with death. Though their numbers 
    are few, they possess powerful one hit attacks and are feared 
    as the "bullet of Makai". 
    
    Baraba Kreutz. Titled as the "Wolf Lord", is the leader of 
    the royal guardsmen of the Kreutz family. His eye's were 
    the eye's of those who survived countless life-or-death 
    situations. Twenty years ago, he had wandered into the 
    human world. But he had forgotten most his memories of 
    his time in the human world. Though he vaguely remembers 
    about the woman who cared for him when he was injured 
    in the human world. 
    
    When he came back to Makai, he played an active role as a 
    fighter of the Kreutz family. Demitri had even said, "He is my 
    best rival in my life". Demitri felt a certain kind of beauty in 
    Baraba's fighting. A kind not found in the lower darkstalkers. 
    But roughly ten years after he returned to Makai, he suddenly 
    disappeared. Master Xell had searched for him for many years, 
    but he could not be found. Some say that he had returned to 
    the human world to reunite with the woman again. But no one 
    knows the truth of the events. 
    
    About Werewolves:
    In popular folklore, a man who is transformed, or who 
    transforms himself, into a wolf in nature and appearance 
    under the influence of a full moon. The Werewolf is only 
    active at night and during that period he devours infants 
    and corpses. According to legend, Werewolves can be 
    killed by silver objects such as silver arrows and silver 
    bullets. When a Werewolf dies he is returned to his human 
    form. 
    
    The origin of the word is a contraction of the old-Saxon 
    word wer, which means "man", and wolf to arrive at werwolf 
    or manwolf. A Lycanthrope, a term often used to describe 
    Werewolves, however, is someone who suffers from a mental 
    disease and only thinks he has changed into a wolf. 
    
    The concept of Werewolves, or lycanthropes, is possibly 
    based on the myth of Lycaon. He was the king of Arcadia, 
    and in the time of the ancient Greeks notorious for his cruelty. 
    He tried to buy the favor of Zeus by offering him the flesh of 
    a young child. Zeus punished him for this crime and turned 
    him into a wolf. The legends of Werewolves have been told 
    since the ancient Greeks and are known all over the world. In 
    areas where the wolf is not so common, the belief in 
    Werewolves is replaced by folklore where men can change 
    themselves in tigers, lions, bears and other fierce animals. 
    
    In the dark Middle Ages, the Church stigmatized the wolf 
    as the personification of evil and a servant of Satan himself. 
    The Church courts managed to put so much pressure on 
    schizophrenics, epileptics and the mentally disabled, that 
    they testified to be Werewolves and admitted to receive 
    their orders directly from Satan. After 1270 it was even 
    considered heretical not to believe in the existence of 
    Werewolves. 
    
    The charge of being a Werewolf disappeared from European 
    courts around the 17th century, but only for the lack of 
    evidence. The belief in Werewolves, however, did not 
    completely disappear. In Europe after 1600, it was generally 
    believed that if there were no Werewolves, then at least the 
    wolf was a creature of evil. This resulted in an unjustified 
    and negative image of the wolf; an image that most people 
    still have today. 
    
    The Wolf Man:
    Talbain's date of birth more or less coincides with the release 
    date of the classic Werewolf tale The Wolf Man. In this film, 
    Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.) is bitten by a Werewolf (Bela 
    Lugosi) while visiting a gypsy camp. He turns into a Werewolf 
    and is killed by his father Sir John Talbot (Claude Rains) using 
    a silver wolf's head cane. This movie brought silver, wolfbane, 
    and the pentagram into the Werewolf film genre and laid down 
    much of the folklore and legend for decades to come.

    Background Information:
    Berial foresaw that Makai would be exposed to the crisis of 
    perishing soon. Someone great Life Form would be needed 
    to maintain the unbalanced world of Makai. He foresaw that 
    one with such power would not be born in the family of 
    Aensland for another 1,200 years. Knowing this, he decided 
    to leave the future of the Aensland family in Morrigan's 
    hands. To Berial, the future of the Aensland family was the 
    same as the future of Makai. 
    
    Morrigan was a very special Succubus, even within all of 
    the Darkstalkers. She was born as an S Class noble. But at 
    that time, roughly 300 years ago, a struggle for power had 
    already started. Various battles had occurred in various 
    locations. It was unacceptable for a Succubus child to be 
    given rights to power at the time. The problems didn't end 
    their either. Morrigan had no way to control the enormous 
    powers that she held within. If she were to be left alone, she 
    would destroy herself and the land around her. Berial decided 
    to split her powers and isolate them to protect her. Morrigan's 
    soul was split into 2, one half was closed off into a space that 
    Berial had created. 
    
    But her powers weren't simply split evenly. Because her 
    powers were forcefully divided, they kept drawing each 
    other with a powerful force. To control this, Berial took 
    part of her powers and sealed it within himself. Thus, 
    Morrigan's soul had been divided into three. One in 
    Morrigan, one in the sealed space, and one in Berial's body. 
    When these become one, Morrigan can regain her full 
    powers. But if one doesn't recognize their own powers, if 
    is difficult to sense its existence, let alone control it. 
    Morrigan herself found out about her other half after 
    Berial had died. 
    
    When Berial died, the sealed off power was supposed to 
    return to it's rightful owner. Once this was complete, the 
    next ruler of Makai was supposed to be born, as Berial 
    foresaw it. But because the part which Berial contained 
    had been lost, Morrigan's power had not returned to 
    completely. And a certain accident had occurred in the 
    sealed space that even Berial himself did not notice. 
    
    The sealed off power had begun to have it's own will. She, 
    Lilith, had began to recognize herself roughly ten years 
    after the sealing. It was Morrigan's heart which slipped into 
    Lilith's consciousness, although Morrigan herself never 
    noticed this. As Lilith found about Makai, her feelings grew. 
    These feelings were different from normal emotions like 
    admiration and jealousy. They were closer to a primitive 
    instinct to want to go back to its home. 
    
    In Makai, power is indicated by the strength of the soul. 
    If a soul is forcefully divided, it is not surprising that the 
    soul will try to return to its full self. Morrigan's soul was 
    powerful enough that it was able to produce a will of its 
    own. 
    
    Due to Jedah's plot, Lilith was able to attain a body. In 
    return, Lilith was to lure Morrigan and the other Darkstalkers. 
    Morrigan's true powers were something that Jedah could not 
    overlook. It's unknown if Lilith understood Jedah's intention 
    and the meaning of his salvation, but Lilith enjoyed her 
    newfound freedom. To Lilith, the Majigen was a real world 
    that she was able to be born in. Her enjoyment will last as 
    long as she can fight someone who can satisfy her curiosity, 
    and to be able to somehow return to her true body. She is 
    like a child who doesn't know the true darkness yet. 
    
    After she and Morrigan met, Lilith was finally able to return 
    to her true self when she and Morrigan fused back together 
    into one. 
    
    About Succubi/Succubuses:
    It is generally said that the Succubus race absorbs the spirit 
    of the opposite sex and uses it as their own energy source. 
    But the succubuses that live in the Aensland family are 
    slightly different. They create a special secretion liquid in 
    their body when they are either physically or mentally 
    stimulated. They use this liquid to maintain their life. If one 
    were to be trapped inside a small secluded area, she would 
    die within two days due to the lack of stimulus. 
    
    This is because the liquid needed to maintain her life can't 
    be secreted. But to make up for this, they have become able 
    to look into the dreams of others. When no stimulus was 
    given, they evolved to look for other ways to look for 
    excitement. When a creature dreams, a special secretion 
    liquid is formed in the brain. A succubus can take this 
    liquid from the outside. Those who have been robbed feels 
    a strange feeling. As if ones dream was completely taken 
    away. This is quite different from not having any memory 
    of a dream. This liquid, which the succubus robbed, is 
    dissolved into the body of the succubus and is composed. 
    
    Their blood and saliva has a powerful lustful effect. A human 
    would instantly die the moment they come in contact with it.
    Their body odor causes their blood vessels to dilate and 
    causes a large amount of perspiration. If a man is confronted 
    by a succubus, unlessthey have a very strong mind, they 
    would instantly be under her spell. 
    
    The succubus race lives about 400 years. Roughly ten years 
    after they are born, they gain their adult appearance and keep 
    this beautiful form until they die. Their beautiful appearance 
    is kept intact even when they are old. Over the past several 
    hundred years, their ability to reproduce has been in danger. 
    The amount of spirit that can be taken from an individual is 
    limited. Their search for new dreams have caused them to 
    reach into the human world. But it is becoming more and 
    more difficult to reach a good amount of nutrition. When 
    Morrigan became the successor of the Aensland family, 
    there were roughly only 200 Succubuses left. At this rate, 
    the Succubus race would disappear after one or two 
    generations. However, the Succubuses themselves do not 
    care about the crisis and are enjoying their everyday lives. 
    
    About Incubi/Incubuses:
    The Incubus race is said to be the opposite race to the 
    Succubus race. The Incubus is not simply a distinction 
    like a male and female in a race but a completely different 
    race. Although they are treated as a lecherous race like the 
    succubus, they are quite different. First off, their physical 
    looks are not all handsome men, unlike the succubus where 
    they are all beautiful women. 
    
    Many of the Incubuses are inhuman and may have four feet 
    or may be dragon types. 60% of the Incubus race is made 
    up from these types. They have a powerful aphrodisiac 
    digestive fluid in their body and they pour this into their 
    victim. This fluid causes the victim's elements inside to 
    change and becomes a very efficient food type for them. 
    This method is similar to an insect or an animal. they prefer 
    women because they are better food type than men. They 
    only eat men when they have to. 
    
    About Lilith's Gender:
    Physically, she is a female. The body she received from 
    Jedah was the image that Lilith wanted to be, obviously an 
    imitation of Morrigan. But it is obvious that she couldn't be 
    a complete copy of Morrigan. Although it is a guess, her 
    childish look most likely comes from her own feelings. She 
    feels that she is not a perfect existence and this reflected 
    on her appearance. Like a child who yearns to be an adult, 
    a girl who has yet to become a woman. But there is no 
    evidence if she could maintain that body. If she wishes to 
    be something, as long as Jedah's power is intact, she could 
    even become a man. If she wishes to become one with 
    Morrigan, she could even take the form of a man to be the 
    dominant one. But a vast amount of power and belief is 
    needed to do this. And it would be very difficult without 
    the help of Jedah. 
    
    Early Stages of Development:
    In the early stages of development, Lilith was quite 
    different from her current form. She was Morrigan's older 
    sister at first and had the blood of angel's mixed in her. She 
    had angel wings on her head but this was always folded to 
    hide them due to her being a darkstalker. Physically, she 
    looks like Morrigan. She was always picked on by Morrigan 
    as a child. But this was cut because their were enough angel 
    types in games. Her next design was much closer to the 
    current Lilith. The only difference is she was either a male 
    or a hermaphrodite. 
    
    About 'Real' Succubuses:
    Lilith takes her name after the first wife of Adam who was 
    said to suck the blood of infants and from whose name the 
    word Lullaby (Lili Abi) is supposed by some to have been

    Succubuses. 
    
    In medieval European folklore, a Succubus is the female 
    variety of an Incubus, the word Incubus being Latin for 
    nightmare. According to one legend, the Incubuses and the 
    Succubuses were fallen angels. The ordinary phenomenon 
    of nightmare, as the name imports, was associated with their 
    belief. The Succubus is a female demon or evil spirit who 
    visits men in their sleep to lie with them in ghostly sexual 
    intercourse. The man who falls victim to a Succubus will 
    not awaken, although may experience it in a dream. 
    
    During these times, consortion with demons was long one 
    of the most ordinary accusations in witch trials. Morrigan's 
    date of birth coincides with the first appearance of a 
    Succubus in Scotland. Although the appearance of 
    Succubuses were comparatively rare to that of the Incubus, 
    there are anecdotes of a priest who had commerce with one 
    for more than forty years and another priest who found a 
    faithful mistress in a devil for half a century: They were 
    both burnt alive. 
    
    About 'Real' Incubuses:
    More common than their female counterparts, hundreds, 
    perhaps thousands, of women have been burnt on account 
    of the belief of consortionw ith an Incubus. It was observed, 
    that they had a peculiar attachment to women with beautiful 
    hair, and it was an old Catholic belief, that St. Paul alluded 
    to this in that somewhat curious passage, in which he 
    exhorts women to cover their heads, because of the 
    demons. 
    
    The Incubuses generally had no children, but there were 
    some exceptions to this rule, for Nider the inquisitor assures 
    us, that the island of Cyprus was entirely peopled by their 
    sons. Should the female victim get pregnant, the child 
    would grow inside her as any normal child, except that it 
    will possess supernatural capabilities. Usually the child 
    grows into a person of evil intent or a powerful wizard. 
    Legend has it that the magician Merlin was the result of 
    the union of an Incubus and a nun.

    Background Information:
    Deep beneath the Amazon lied a kingdom of the 30,000 
    Mermen. One day, this peaceful aquatic empire was 
    shattered and destroyed by a tremendous earthquake and 
    volcanic eruption. The Merman Emperor and hero Rikuo, 
    was alone. His empire destroyed, he was filled with rage 
    and, when he found out that Pyron was the one who caused 
    the fall of his empire, he vowed to destroy him. But when 
    he met another survivor, Aqueria, he settled down with her 
    to rebuild his empire. He and his wife moved out of the 
    Amazon into the great ocean to raise their family. Currently, 
    family consists of his wife Aqueria, his three sons and 12 
    soon to hatch eggs. 
    
    Rikuo and his family live in a crack, 150 m (492 ft) deep. 
    The current of the ocean doesn't make it's way into the area 
    and is a perfect location to protect their eggs from danger. 
    His current job is to search for any other survivors of his 
    kingdom. He searches in a radius of 200 km (124.27 miles) for 
    any other surviving Mermen. Though close to his home is a 
    deep oceanic trench and a fast ocean current runs through it. 
    If Rikuo fell into the teach, even he couldn't swim against 
    the strong current. And the deepest he could search was 
    1000 m (0.62 miles) deep. 
    
    It was a endless search but Rikuo believed that other mermen 
    had survived. Ever since he and his family had moved to this 
    sea, although very faint, he had sensed the life of something 
    similar to his own race. As days pass, his search for his fellow 
    merman increases in area and the time he spends with his 
    family decreases. During one of his searches, one of his sons, 
    Alba disappears. He ponders to himself about how one could 
    defend a kingdom if he cannot protect his own family. 
    Believing that his son was sucked into the Majigen, Rikuo 
    heads his way into Jedah's realm. But when the powers of 
    Makai start to fade, the dark sea of Sargasso was opened 
    and Rikuo found his son along with a new race of merman. 
    The two families now help to build the civilization of the sea. 
    
    Aqueria's History:
    Aqueria was an ordinary female of the Merman race. At 
    the time of the destruction of her kingdom, she had been 
    swimming on the outskirts of the kingdom. She was 
    swallowed by the current caused by the eruption. When 
    she awoke, she was thrown into an unknown world, onto 
    land. She had been thrown into the dense forest of the 
    Amazon. Not knowing how to get home, she searched 
    for any place with water. After searching for half a day, 
    she found a lake which was like a puddle of water. This 
    also happened to be a lake that Rikuo visited often. 
    
    She waited for a few days but there was no signs of her 
    friends coming to save her. After making up her mind, she 
    follows a faint smell to an entrance to an underground river. 
    She then makes her way back to her kingdom. 
    
    When she came back, she saw her kingdom swallowed by a 
    dark crack in the sea. She intuitively realizes that she had lost 
    all her friends and crumbles to the ground without any words. 
    But she still had not lost hope. She believed that king Rikuo 
    would have somehow survived the disaster and he is still 
    alive somewhere. And that he will come save her soon. 
    
    After believing and waiting for half a year, the young girl and 
    Rikuo are re-united. A new love is born and the beginning of 
    a new kingdom had started. 
    
    Mermen Social Structure:
    Rikuo's kingdom is different from a Monarchic Government or 
    Imperical Rule. There are no royal families. Each king is chosen 
    by the previous king. After obtaining the people's consent, the 
    next king is chosen. Every Merman is given a rank, they are 
    strongly united, and they keep a mutual trust with this. 
    
    The ranks do not mean a social position but it is more used 
    to give each one a job that suits them: those who gather 
    food, those who protect their own from danger, those who 
    create habitats, those who care's for the young. Out of these 
    many jobs, raising the young is usually done by the males. 
    Similarly, the females are raised by their own mothers. 
    
    In the case of males, their mimicking abilities is usually used 
    to scale their strength level. It is important for those caring 
    for the young to teach theyoung this ability. This mimicking 
    ability is not just changing the appearance but to also use 
    the ability of which they are mimicking. One who excels in 
    this wins everyone's respect. 
    
    Rikuo had cleared this ability beyond anyone else. It can be 
    said that, for his son Alba, he is the greatest teacher. 
    
    Mermen Reproduction:
    The merman race have reproductive periods. The average 
    time for Merman's to lay eggs is around the human age of 
    16 to 22. They bear eggs two times within one year averaging 
    about 10 to 20 eggs. On average, a couple lays 60 to 120 
    eggs. But only 10% of these hatch and out of those, only 
    2 to 5 % of these survive. A few hundred years ago, the lake 
    they used to live in was fresh water. But within the last 10 
    or so years, sea water had flowed in and caused the salt level 
    to rise. This may have been the reason why Rikuo and his 
    family could live in the sea without much trouble against the 
    salt level. But this may also be the reason for the decreasing 
    birth rate. 
    
    About 'Real' Merfolk:
    7000 years ago in Babylonian mythology, there was a god, 
    Ea (who would later would be called Oannes by the Greeks), 
    who was a water god. He was depicted as having the upper 
    body of a man and the lower body of a fish. From the 
    beginning of civilization as we know it, there have been 
    Merfolk. 
    
    The idea of Merfolk could be based on these creatures from 
    Greek and Babylonian mythology: Sirens and Tritons of the 
    Greeks, and the fish gods, who were half human and half 
    fish, from the Babylonians. The belief in Merfolk is not 
    limited to a few countries, but there are tales from all over 
    the world. For instance, in India there are the Apsara, 
    beautiful water nymphs. The most well-known of the 
    Merfolk are the Mermaids. 
    
    Mermaids are marine creatures with the head and upper body 
    of a beautiful young maiden and with the lower body of a fish. 
    They can be found in seas and lakes or lying on a rock and 
    combing their hair with one hand while holding a mirror in the 
    other. Mermaids sometimes foretell the future and are often 
    accompanied by seals. 
    
    According to myth, they lure sailors by singing and with 
    lovely music. They live in a kingdom on the bottom of the 
    sea, and it is here they take their prisoners to. From this story, 
    the fear amongst the sailor grew and they thought that seeing 
    a mermaid would cause bad luck: it could predict death by 
    drowning. 
    
    Creature From The Black Lagoon:
    Rikuo's date of birth coincides with release date of the 
    classic tale The Creature From The Black Lagoon. In this 
    film, a team of scientists descend upon the Amazon 
    prompted by archaeologist Dr. Carl Maia's (Antonio 
    Moreno) discovery of a strange, half-man, half-amphibian 
    skeletal hand from the Devonian period. Led by scientist 
    David Reed (Richard Carlson), fellow scientist and girlfriend 
    Kay (Julie Adams), and their jealous benefactor Dr. Mark 
    Williams (Richard Denning), they soon discover that the 
    fossil they seek is alive and well and hopping mad from 
    their intrusion in his territory. 
    
    The Creature was so successful that it spawned two 
    sequels, Revenge of the Creature and The Creature 
    Walks Among Us. 
    
    The Creature, or Gillman, is either the last remnant of a 15 
    million year old species, or has itself survived since the 
    Devonian age. He is substantially taller than the average 
    uman male, thought to be between somewhere between 
    173 cm - 196 cm (5'8" - 6'5"), although never accurately 
    measured and it is estimated his weight is around 136 kg 
    (300 lbs). 
    
    He behaves much like the African lungfish, which lives 
    underwater during mating season, but breathes surface 
    air when its lake habitat dries up. His composition is 
    approximately 35% white corpuscles, or halfway between 
    marine life and mammal. It is also important to note that 
    these white corpuscles have no nucleus. 
    
    His outer layer of marine scales cover a layer of mammalian 
    epidermis. Living primarily in the dark depths of the sea, the 
    Creature reacts adversely to bright light. Although it has 
    been known to exhibit violent tendencies, such actions can 
    be classified as defensive. Typically, it usually hunts fish 
    for its food.

    Background Information:
    A young and charismatic young rocker who killed himself 
    and 100 other fans in his final live performance. Because of 
    his thirst for power, he was noticed by Emperor Ozomu. He 
    resurrected him as a Zombie and told him that if he wishes to
     be stronger, he would have to kill the Darkstalkers. Although 
    Rapter agreed, his true plans were to kill Ozomu himself and 
    to take over the spot of being the Emperor. But when Ozomu 
    and Ozomu's castle disappeared, Rapter was puzzled. When 
    he arrived at the location where Ozomu's castle stood, he 
    found the entrance to the Majigen. This time, he intended 
    to kill the creator of Majigen and take over his spot. 
    
    The Rock Star Life:
    Lord Rapter had the charisma like that of a Young Ozzy. He 
    was an expert guitarist, a mass murderer, and was known as 
    the God of Metal. No one knows when he started his music. 
    The only thing clear is that he was unknown before he 
    released his first album, Oral Dead. 
    
    Although his first album, an indie album, did not sell in 
    numbers, he received a good amount of support from certain 
    groups. Eventually, he became the next big sensation in the 
    metal scene. He instantly became famous in all of Australia. 
    His second album sold 200,00 copies in a month, and reached 
    one million in three months. But the age group that bought 
    his albums were small. Most of those who bought his CDs 
    were in their teens. They were more like cult followers than 
    a fan of an artist. 
    
    His fearful death is talked about to this day. On his final live 
    performance, 100 of his fans were sucked dry of their blood. 
    Every victim died with the look of happiness. Rapter himself 
    turned into a skeleton instantly and died. To this day, the 
    truth behind this incident is unknown. 
    
    The Leather Covered Book:
    Days after Rapter's death, a strange leather covered book 
    was found in his house and people hoped that this book 
    would uncover some truth to his death. The book was called 
    A Chapter of Tolagido and was written in ancient Hebrew. 
    In this book, it explained the existence of another world called 
    Makai. The words in this book resembled the lyrics to his hit 
    songs. And in a topic titled "A Curse To Give Sacrifices To 
    The King of Makai", the horrifying truth was hidden. Rapter's 
    last song at his last live was called, "Sacrifice". This song 
    was played for the first time and was Rapter's final song of 
    his life. The lyrics in this song were identical to the lyrics 
    found in the curse. 
    
    With further research, they found out that the preparation 
    for the curse took a long time. Since the first album was 
    released, Rapter had already started to brainwash his victims. 
    His aim was to start the curse with his music and to get his 
    sacrifices. But there is no way to prove this at present. 
    
    The songs he created are still sold on the market. And 
    according to those who went to his live, Rapter's enigmatic 
    voice were lost on the CD's. In the end, there is no rational 
    explanation for the incident. The only thing that is certain 
    is that a simple musician could not do such a thing. Unless 
    he used the powers of the devil... 
    
    Lord Rapter's Discography
    Oral Dead: His first album which includes his hit song, 
    "Oral Dead".
    
    Punishment: His second album. A million seller album 
    that was sold by word of mouth. 
    
    Noise of Heaven: The third album, which is more religious 
    and ceremonial. It contains the song "Soul Beats". It's 
    theme is the rebirth of souls. It also contains the song 
    "Black Justice".
    
    Tripper: His first memorial live album which took place in the 
    Southern Cross Hall and gathered 60,000 people. 400 people 
    went unconscious, and 18 people had heart attacks (two of 
    which died). After this had occurred, entering the live 
    became harder and the police began to monitor his lives. 
    
    Fangorra: His compilation album which contains un-released 
    songs. There was a rumor that the album contained a track 
    zero, so the record companies called back the CD. Before the 
    first track, there were 16 seconds of silence. Many people 
    claimed that a devil's curse would play during that time. 
    Although there was no music actually recorded during this 
    silence. After the CDs were called back, the first press 
    became premium items. 
    
    Devil: His final album which was released after his death. 
    Contains the song "Sacrifice", which was played at his 
    suicide live, which became a legend. 
    
    The Book:
    In the voodoo-cult of the Caribbean, a Zombie is a soulless 
    body that serves a sorcerer as a slave. The soul could have 
    left the body through the regular death rituals, but could also 
    have been removed from a living body by the power of the 
    sorcerer. These Caribbean Zombies are brought back to life 
    through means of voodoo or necromancy, destroying the 
    mental processes of this person through the process. 
    
    In the present day, Haitians believe Zombies to exist in their 
    lands. Thousands of people in Haiti are considered to be 
    Zombies, some of which lead normal everyday lives with 
    families, jobs, and are respected citizens. Itıs considered to 
    be a crime to make a Zombie in Haiti. 
    
    Haitian Penal Code:
    Article 249. It shall also be qualified as attempted murder 
    the employment which may be made against any person of 
    substances which, without causing actual death, produce a 
    lethargic coma more or less prolonged. If, after the person 
    had been buried, the act shall be considered murder no 
    matter what result follows. 
    
    To create these Haitian Zombies, a voodoo practitioner 
    makes a potion that consists of mainly the poison of the 
    pufferfish and is given to the intended victim. This causes 
    severe neurological damage, primarily effecting the left side 
    of the brain, which controls speech, memory, and motor 
    skills. The victim suddenly becomes lethargic, then slowly 
    seems to die. In reality, the victimıs respiration and pulse 
    becomes so slow that it is nearly impossible to detect. The 
    victim retains full awareness as he is taken to the hospital, 
    then perhaps to the morgue, and finally as he is buried 
    alive. 
    
    Then, the voodoo practitioner's leisure come at his leisure 
    to retrieve the victim, who has now become a slave, as a 
    commodity. At one time, it was said that most of the slaves 
    who worked in the sugar cane plantations of Haiti were 
    Zombies. A Zombie will remain in a robot-like state 
    indefinitely until he tastes either salt or meat. At that point, 
    the Zombie becomes aware of their state and immediately 
    returns to their grave. 
    
    The reality that there may be actual Zombies has only been 
    taken seriously by medical science within the last ten years, 
    since the use of CAT scans of the brain, along with the 
    confessions of voodoo priests, explaining their methods. 
    Previous to that, Zombies were considered mentally defective 
    by science or explained as stunts to try to confuse scientists. 
    
    There are many examples of Zombies in modern day Haiti. 
    A case reported a writer named Stephen Bonsal described 
    a Zombie he witnessed in 1912 in this way: A man had at 
    intervals a high fever he had joined a foreign mission church 
    and the head of the mission saw the patient die. He assisted 
    at the funeral and saw the dead man buried. Some days later 
    the supposedly dead man was found dressed in his grave 
    clothes, tied to a tree, moaning. The poor wretch soon 
    recovered his voice but not his mind. He was indentifed 
    by his wife, by the psysicain who had prounced him dead, 
    and by the clergyman. The victim recognized no one, and 
    his days were spent moaning inarticulate words no-one 
    could understand. 
    
    The Country of the Comers-Back:
    Rapter's date of birth coincides with the release of Lafcadio 
    Hearn's short story about Zombies entitled the "The Country 
    of the Comers-Back." Although I have been unable to obtain 
    a copy of The Country of the Comers-Back, one could 
    surmise, given Capcom's tendency to infuse the character 
    of the Darkstalkers with real-life references, that the story 
    is set in Australia.

    Background Information:
    Sasquatch is the most noble of his tribe of Bigfoot that live 
    deep in the Rocky Mountains of Canada. When he sensed 
    the powers of the monster Pyron, he set out to find out 
    what it was. After returning to his village, he finds members 
    of his village have disappeared. In the center of his village 
    was a huge hole. Determined that his fellow villagers have 
    been pulled into trouble, Sasquatch jumped into the hole to 
    help them. In the end, he found out that his fellow Bigfoot 
    went willingly because Jedah offered them lots of bananas. 
    
    Village of Bigfoot:
    The village lies in a basin within the Rocky mountains of 
    Canada. It is surrounded by steep mountains. Below their 
    village is a huge frozen lake which is covered with thick ice. 
    This is where they catch their primary source of food, fish. 
    About 100 Bigfoot's live in this village. To them, it is more 
    like a big family than a tribe. 
    
    The temperature is constantly at -30 degrees celcius (-22 
    degrees fahrenheit). Near the entrance to their village is a 
    village called Crevasse. A snowstorm blows at a rate of 20
    m per second (45 miles per hour). It is very hard for a human 
    to enter this village. Even if they somehow do, if they make 
    the Bigfoot's mad in ay way, their chances of making it out 
    alive is slim. 
    
    The Communication Network:
    They have their own distinct network using Makai Seals 
    called Makai Postal. This is the Bigfoot's information source 
    and it proves a cultural and modern standard of living. Even 
    when Sasquatch left his village, they used Stone Mail to 
    contact each other. It's delivery service spans all over the 
    world. It can send mail to the South Pole or North Pole 
    within 4 days. This is due to the Makai race of Mach-Crab 
    beasts. 
    
    Human Relations:
    The Bigfoot race is not a violent race. In fact, they are 
    friendly towards other races. But this is only if manners are 
    shown. As long as you don't treat them as wild beasts or 
    show beasts, and show signs of friendship, they will 
    reciprocate by also showing signs of friendship. To them, 
    human sincerity means bananas or other delicious foods. 
    To keep a good relation, food is an essential item.
    
    About Sasquatch's Companions:
    They Bigfoot live together in the same village with the 
    Makai Snowslide Penguins. They help Sasquatch when 
    they hear about the disappearance of their village members.
    Their desperate attacks tend to draw tears. 
    
    The Snowmen of Bigfoot Village belong to a Makai race 
    called the Snowman race. They have the ability to make it 
    snow or to cause the temperature to fall. To aid Sasquatch, 
    they follow him into Majigen. 
    
    The Snow Beast race are a very shy Makai race that resemble 
    sled dogs. They are very friendly towards the Bigfoot race, 
    but rarely show themselves. When it is urgent, they quickly 
    appear and pull Sasquatch very powerfully. 
    
    The small Makai Whale is a long time friend of Sasquatch. 
    It's huge blow from its tail is always powerful. There have 
    been interchange since the tribe leader Tundra was young. 
    
    About 'Real' Bigfoot:
    The North American version of the Abominable Snowman, 
    or Yeti, from the Himalayas. In Canada it is called a Sasquatch, 
    while in the United States they popularly refer to it as Bigfoot. 
    
    The word Sasquatch closely resembles and is derived from 
    several native names for the creature used by tribes in the 
    coastal area of the Pacific north west. The creature is 
    supposed to be at least 2.1 m (6'9") tall, but adults can be 
    as tall as 3.5 m (11'5"). Its footprints measure somewhere 
    between 40-55 cm (16-20 inches). It has long arms, an ape-
    like face with a flat nose, and thick hairy fur. Sasquatch 
    lives in the caves and hidden valleys of Canada and North 
    America. 
    
    It was first seen by white men in 1811 and since then there 
    have been hundreds of reports on sightings and encounters. 
    There are several photos and films of the creature, besides 
    casts taken from its footprints, but many of these turned 
    out to be forgeries. There are numerous people who claim 
    they have either seen the creature itself or its tracks. 
    Expeditions set out to search for Bigfoot have never 
    found it, nor is there scientific evidence for its existence. 
    
    It is believed by some that the Sasquatch may be related to 
    Central Africa's mountain gorilla which Western scientists 
    first discovered in 1903. This coincides with the date of birth 
    given to Sasquatch. In that same year, a newspaper printed 
    the testimony of a man who said he watched as a man was 
    killed by aborigines, which he said looked like a black man, 
    but covered all over with gray hair.

    Background Information:
    Berial foresaw that Makai would be exposed to the crisis 
    of perishing soon. Someone great Life Form would be 
    needed to maintain the unbalanced world of Makai. He 
    foresaw that one with such power would not be born in 
    the family of Aensland for another 1,200 years. Knowing 
    this, he decided to leave the future of the Aensland family 
    in Morrigan's hands. To Berial, the future of the Aensland 
    family was the same as the future of Makai. 
    
    Morrigan was a very special Succubus, even within all of 
    the Darkstalkers. She was born as an S Class noble. But at 
    that time, roughly 300 years ago, a struggle for power had 
    already started. Various battles had occurred in various 
    locations. It was unacceptable for a Succubus child to be 
    given rights to power at the time. The problems didn't end 
    their either. Morrigan had no way to control the enormous 
    powers that she held within. If she were to be left alone, she 
    would destroy herself and the land around her. Berial, her 
    adoptive father and head of the Aensland House, split her 
    soul in three to protect her. Without knowing this, Morrigan 
    grew up. She found her life in the Aensland castle dull. She 
    visited the human world many times to look for some kind 
    of fun. One night, she was drawn to the strange power 
    permeating from Pyron and ventured into the human world 
    again. 
    
    After she came back from the human world, she was told 
    that Berial died and she was the next successor to the throne 
    of the Aensland family. Although she is rightfully the ruler 
    of Makai, she avoids her duteis and continues her life like 
    before. But when Jedah created the Majigen, she and her 
    castle are pulled into Jedah's dimension. Sensing Lilith, 
    the now sentient remainder of her soul, Morrigan sets off 
    hoping to find some sort of enjoyment. After meeting with 
    Lilith, she was finally able to return to her true self when 
    Lilith and Morrigan fused back together into one. 
    
    About Succubi/Succubuses:
    It is generally said that the Succubus race absorbs the spirit 
    of the opposite sex and uses it as their own energy source. 
    But the succubuses that live in the Aensland family are 
    slightly different. They create a special secretion liquid in 
    their body when they are either physically or mentally 
    stimulated. They use this liquid to maintain their life. If one 
    were to be trapped inside a small secluded area, she would 
    die within two days due to the lack of stimulus. 
    
    This is because the liquid needed to maintain her life can't 
    be secreted. But to make up for this, they have become able 
    to look into the dreams of others. When no stimulus was 
    given, they evolved to look for other ways to look for 
    excitement. When a creature dreams, a special secretion 
    liquid is formed in the brain. A succubus can take this 
    liquid from the outside. Those who have been robbed feels 
    a strange feeling. As if ones dream was completely taken 
    away. This is quite different from not having any memory 
    of a dream. This liquid, which the succubus robbed, is 
    dissolved into the body of the succubus and is composed. 
    
    Their blood and saliva has a powerful lustful effect. A human 
    would instantly die the moment they come in contact with it.
    Their body odor causes their blood vessels to dilate and 
    causes a large amount of perspiration. If a man is confronted 
    by a succubus, unlessthey have a very strong mind, they 
    would instantly be under her spell. 
    
    The succubus race lives about 400 years. Roughly ten years 
    after they are born, they gain their adult appearance and keep 
    this beautiful form until they die. Their beautiful appearance 
    is kept intact even when they are old. Over the past several 
    hundred years, their ability to reproduce has been in danger. 
    The amount of spirit that can be taken from an individual is 
    limited. Their search for new dreams have caused them to 
    reach into the human world. But it is becoming more and 
    more difficult to reach a good amount of nutrition. When 
    Morrigan became the successor of the Aensland family, 
    there were roughly only 200 Succubuses left. At this rate, 
    the Succubus race would disappear after one or two 
    generations. However, the Succubuses themselves do not 
    care about the crisis and are enjoying their everyday lives. 
    
    About Incubi/Incubuses:
    The Incubus race is said to be the opposite race to the 
    Succubus race. The Incubus is not simply a distinction 
    like a male and female in a race but a completely different 
    race. Although they are treated as a lecherous race like the 
    succubus, they are quite different. First off, their physical 
    looks are not all handsome men, unlike the succubus where 
    they are all beautiful women. 
    
    Many of the Incubuses are inhuman and may have four feet 
    or may be dragon types. 60% of the Incubus race is made 
    up from these types. They have a powerful aphrodisiac 
    digestive fluid in their body and they pour this into their 
    victim. This fluid causes the victim's elements inside to 
    change and becomes a very efficient food type for them. 
    This method is similar to an insect or an animal. they prefer 
    women because they are better food type than men. They 
    only eat men when they have to. 
    
    About 'Real' Succubuses:
    Morrigan's date of birth coincides with the first appearance 
    of a Succubus in Scotland. In medieval European folklore, 
    a Succubus is the female variety of an Incubus, the word 
    Incubus being Latin for nightmare. According to one legend, 
    the Incubuses and the Succubuses were fallen angels. The 
    ordinary phenomenon of nightmare, as the name imports, 
    was associated with their belief. The Succubus is a female 
    demon or evil spirit who visits men in their sleep to lie with 
    them in ghostly sexual intercourse. The man who falls victim 
    to a Succubus will not awaken, although may experience it 
    in a dream. 
    
    During these times, consortion with demons was long one 
    of the most ordinary accusations in witch trials. Morrigan's 
    date of birth coincides with the first appearance of a Succubus 
    in Scotland. Although the appearance of Succubuses were 
    comparatively rare to that of the Incubus, there are anecdotes 
    of a priest who had commerce with one for more than forty 
    years and another priest who found a faithful mistress in a 
    devil for half a century: They were both burnt alive. 
    
    About 'Real' Incubuses:
    More common than their female counterparts, hundreds, 
    perhaps thousands, of women have been burnt on account 
    of the belief of consortionw ith an Incubus. It was observed, 
    that they had a peculiar attachment to women with beautiful 
    hair, and it was an old Catholic belief, that St. Paul alluded to 
    this in that somewhat curious passage, in which he exhorts 
    women to cover their heads, because of the demons. 
    
    The Incubuses generally had no children, but there were 
    some exceptions to this rule, for Nider the inquisitor assures 
    us, that the island of Cyprus was entirely peopled by their 
    sons. Should the female victim get pregnant, the child 
    would grow inside her as any normal child, except that it 
    will possess supernatural capabilities. Usually the child 
    grows into a person of evil intent or a powerful wizard. 
    Legend has it that the magician Merlin was the result of 
    the union of an Incubus and a nun.

    Background Information:
    Huitzil is one of many robots that were created by Pyron 
    who came to Earth 65 million years ago. When they were 
    created, they were inputted with orders to destroy all life 
    on the planet. After destroying all the dinosaurs, they went 
    deep underground. Huitzil had gone into a long sleep and 
    its functions had been dead ever since. Around 520 A.D., 
    they were found by the Mayans and were used for many 
    purposes. 
    
    Later they were put into the Teotihuacan ruins and went 
    into a long sleep again. When their creator Pyron came back 
    to Earth, one of them awoke again and prepared to complete
    it's inputted order's again. Later, due to a malfunction, 
    Huitzil carried out new orders: to protect a child named 
    Cecil. 
    
    About The 'Real' Phobos:
    Phobos is the larger and innermost of Mars' two moons, 
    with the other moon being Deimos. Phobos is closer to its 
    primary than any other moon in the solar system, less than 
    6000 km above the surface of Mars. It is also one of the 
    smallest moons in the solar system. 
    
    Phobos is doomed because its orbit is below synchronous 
    altitude and tidal forces are lowering its orbit at a rate of 
    about 1.8 meters per century. In about 50 million years it 
    will either crash onto the surface of Mars or, more likely, 
    break up into a ring. 
    
    In Greek mythology, Phobos was one of the sons of Ares 
    (Mars), the God of War, and Aphrodite (Venus). The 
    personification of fear and terror, he usually accompanied 
    his father in battle and instilled fear in all he saw. Phobos 
    also had a brother named Deimos. Phobos is Greek for Fear, 
    the root of the word Phobia. 
    
    About The 'Real' Huitzil:
    An Aztec myth tells of a valiant warrior named Huitzil, who 
    led his people to a new homeland, then helped them defend 
    it. This famous hero's full name was Huitzilopochtli, which 
    means "Hummingbird From The Left." The Left is the Deep 
    South, the location of the spirit world. 
    
    The woman who gave birth to Huitzil was Coatlicul. She 
    conceived him from a ball of feathers that fell from the sky. 
    Huitzilopochtli's siblings thought that their mother Coatlicul 
    had dishonored them with her mysterious pregnancy. One 
    sister of Huitzilopochtli, Coyolxauhqui, encouraged her star 
    sisters and brothers to kill their mother Coatlicul. However, 
    Huitzilopochtli sprang out of his mother and saved her. 
    Coatlicul regretted such violence. Thus, Huitzilopochtli cut 
    off Coyolxauhqui's head and threw it in the sky to become 
    the Moon. 
    
    At a key moment in an important battle, Huitzil was killed. His 
    body vanished and a green-backed hummingbird whirred up 
    from the spot where he had fallen to inspire his followers to 
    go on to victory. After Huitzil's death, he became the Aztec 
    god of the Sun and War. 
    
    His temple was the focus of fearsome sacrifices of prisoners 
    captured by Aztec warriors. Victims' heads were strung as 
    trophies on a great rack, the Tzompantli, erected in the 
    precinct below. Aztecs used to offer human sacrifices to 
    Huitzilopochtli. The sacrifices were intended to secure rain, 
    harvests, cosmic creation, success in war, strong government, 
    and healthy economy.The most common form of sacrifice 
    practiced by Aztecs was to tear out the heart of a living 
    body and offer it to the Sun.

    legend, he was defeated by Demitri and was consumed 
    by him. Originally, he came to Earth 65 million years ago 
    and created the army of Phobos to destroy life on Earth. 
    It is unknown why Pyron didn't consume Earth back then. 
    
    About Mars and The Antichrist:
    Pyron is most likely an alien being meant to be representative 
    of one of the fabled cosmic beings from Mars. The planet 
    Mars is often associated with Fire because of its Japanese 
    name Kasei, which means Fire Planet. 
    
    According to the Bible, the Antichrist will honor a Foreign 
    God, which literally means an Alien God, and the two of them 
    will rule together. This god will be the God of Fortresses. In 
    Greek and Roman mythology, the god Mars is said to have 
    been worshiped in the form of two idols, one called Mars 
    Gradivus-Mars of War and the other Mars Quirinus-Mars 
    of Fortresses. It is because of this that it is believed the 
    God of Fortresses will come from Mars.

    Soul Smasher [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: QCF + P:
    Pyron shoots a flaming sphere towards the opponent and
    goes upwards by pressing either with MP or HP. The ES
    version does a couple more hits.
    
    Kuuchuu Soul Smasher [Vampire/Hunter]: U, UF, F + P (only
    in air):
    Same description as Soul Smasher, except it's done in the 
    air.
    
    Kuuchuu Soul Smasher [Savior/Savior 2]: QCF + P (only 
    in air):
    Same description as Kuuchuu Soul Smasher, except the 
    motion is done as the ground version.
    
    Zodiac Fire [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: F, D, DF + P:
    Pyron turns into a wheel of fire as he rushes towards the
    opponent. Also his Guard Cancel and the ES version does 
    multiple hits.
    
    Orbital Blaze [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: QCB + K
    (only in air):
    Pyron spins around fast with his foot in flames that's
    outstretched. Also his Guard Cancel in Vampire and the
    ES version does more hits as he spins around a bit more
    faster.
    
    Planet Burning [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: HCB + 
    MP/HP (close only):
    Pyron's command throw as he grabs the opponent and
    turns himself into a sphere of flames burning the opponent.
    The ES version does more damage.
    
    Galaxy Trip [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: B, D, DB + 
    P/K:
    Pyron teleports from various parts of the screen depending
    on which button pressed. No ES for this move.
    
    EX Moves:
    Cosmo Disruption [Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: HCF + P/Kx2:
    Pyron throws out little exploding rocks to the screen as
    it makes a huge explosion. The long the buttons are held,
    the more rocks he throws out.
    
    Piled Hell [Savior/Savior 2]: F, D, DF + Kx2 (only in air):
    Pyron turns into a pillar of flame then does his win pose
    where he laughs from that animation.
    
    Shining Gemini [Savior 2]: F, D, DF + Px2:
    Pyron is followed by s shadow that does special moves
    when Pyron attacks.

    18) Donovan:
    
    Full Name: Donovan Baine
    Race: Dhampir
    Country: Unknown
    Year of Birth: Unknown
    Height: 194cm (6'4")
    Weight: 98kg (216lbs.)
    
    Background Information:
    Donovan was a half-vampire, half-human child. He and his 
    mother were outcasts of their village due to Donovan's 
    cursed blood. During his childhood, something caused his 
    cursed blood to awaken and he killed everyone in the village 
    including his mother. 
    
    He cursed his blood and went out looking for peace. He 
    devoted his life to Buddhism, but, even after ten years, his 
    heart could no find peace. During one of his travels, he met 
    a girl named Anita. Her heartless, empty eyes told him that 
    she was the same as he. Wanting to save Anita's heart, he 
    set off with her to hunt all the Darkstalkers in the world. 
    
    Donovan uses a torturing device called an Iron Maiden to 
    seal any Darkstalker he hunts. He gave it the name Brad 
    Abrude. Inside is also the severed head to the doll that 
    Anita carries. 
    
    As he traveled with her, he found a Sword that was said to 
    give off un-Earthly powers in the Tibetan mountains. This 
    Sword granted Donovan more powers than ever before, but 
    he also had to use large beads to contain the powers as well. 
    Using the powers of the Fire, Lighting and Ice Spirits, he 
    hunts the Darkstalkers as a Darkhunter. 
    
    About Anita's History:
    The small girl that always follows Donovan around. She is 
    84 cm (2'9") and 13 kg (29 lbs). Anita carries an old doll that 
    seems to be a memento of her mother. She had always been 
    with Donovan ever since she was adopted by him from her 
    orphanage. Because of her un-human powers, she was 
    shunned from society. This caused her to lose her emotions. 
    She regained her emotions back as Donovan lost his 
    humanity. She is also the one destined to become the 
    ruler of the humans.
    
    About 'Real' Dhampirs:
    The name given by the Slavonic Gypsies to the child of a 
    vampire. Dhampirs possess certain unique powers in 
    combating their undead sires and relatives, though their 
    title and characteristics change from region to region. 
    
    Traditionally, the male Gypsy vampire had an insatiable 
    need to have sex with his widow, doing this before anything 
    else. It was possible that his spouse could become pregnant, 
    giving birth. The offspring was often called a Dhampir but 
    was also known to other Gypsy groups as the Vampir, if 
    male, Vamuiera, if female, and Vampijerovic or Lampijerovic 
    in either gender. Some believed that the child was always a 
    male. Others claimed it was short-lived because of a jellylike 
    body or that it could not come from the family of an Orthodox 
    or Muslim cleric or that it was a normal human. 
    
    Dhampirs were known to be very effective in detecting 
    and destroying their Vampiric families. They were found in 
    Serbia and elsewhere in parts of Yugoslavia, many making 
    comfortable livings as Vampire Hunters. Only they could 
    see the nosferatu, Serbian undead being invisible and 
    Dhampirs being allegedly the only people who were able 
    to see Invisible Vampires. 
    
    They performed bizarre rituals, whistling, running about, 
    undressing, and using shirtsleeves as a kind of telescope. 
    Wrestling furiously with an invisible foe, the Dhampir 
    finally declared dramatically that the feared Vampire was 
    dead. A large fee was then collected. The last known 
    dhampir ceremony was held in 1959 in the Yugoslavian 
    province of Kosovo.

    Donovan does a divekick with his sword at a different angle
    depending on which K button is pressed.

    Donovan does a simple fast, overhead hop kick.

    HP + HK:
    Donovan simply plants his sword into the ground. The ES
    version is ready for more hits.
    
    Katana o Hanasu [Savior/Savior 2]: QCB + K:

    Katana o Modosu [Vampire/Hunter]: LP + LK or MP + MK 
    or HP + HK (during Katana o Hanasu):
    Donovan summons the sword off the ground and spins to
    the opponent, cutting in the way. The ES version will cut
    both on the way and the way back before Donovan gets it.
    
    Katana o Modosu [Savior/Savior 2]: QCB + K (during Katana
    o Hanasu):
    Same description as noted above.
    
    Katana o Rakurai [Savior/Savior 2]: B, D, DB + P (during Katana
    o Hanasu):
    Donovan summons lightning from above to the spot on 
    where his sword is planted. The ES version does more hits
    and there's more time on the lightning.
    
    Ifreet Sword [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: F, D, DF + P:
    Donovan summons the spirit of Ifreet as he does a vertical
    flaming sword attack. The ES version does a couple more hits.
    
    Blizzard Sword [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2] HCF+ P:
    Donovan summons a spirit and she shoots a crystal snowflake
    that freezes the opponent for a second. The ES version summons
    a couple more snowflakes.
    
    Lightning Sword [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: B, D, DB + P:
    Donovan summons a spirit on he shoots massive electricity
    currents in front of Donovan for a few seconds. Slow recovery
    and the ES version does multiple hits.
    
    Sword Grapple [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: HCB + P (close 
    only):
    Donovan command throw on where he summons for the opponent
    to float as his sword as slices and stabs the opponent. There is no
    ES version of this move.
    
    EX Moves:
    Press of Death [Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: HCF + K:
    Donovan summons a spirit to which it'll stomp  a big foot from
    high above. LK does up close, MK does mid-screen and HK
    does full-screen.
    
    Change Immortal [Vampire/Hunter/Savior/Savior 2]: MP, LP, B,
    LK, MK:
    A spirit takes over Donovan's body and flies straight towards
    the opponent.
    
    Slay Shred [Savior 2]: B, D, DB + Kx2:
    Donovan's sword flies towards the opponent everytime he does
    an attack.
    
    Dark Force:
    Slay Shred [Savior]: LP + LK or MP + MK or HP + HK:
    Same description as noted above.
