Question from Sharius

Where can I find stats modify item?

Is there any other way to increas the stats in this version?

QuinSertorius answered:

Yes. In the bonus dungeons (like the Soul of Chaos dungeons; see FAQs) you can find items that permanently raise different stats by a small amount. Certain enemies also rarely drop these items (see Bestiary FAQs).

If you just go through and complete all four Soul of Chaos dungeons fully, you will have stockpiled a nice collection of stat-increasing items.

If you're a hardcore grinding-type player, you can goto the Cavern of Earth B4 and fight Hyenedons for Power Pluses. Go to the north of the floor to a room with 5 treasure chests and 1 bat. The two immediate boxes in the room will automatically put you in a fight with 3 possible monster combonations:

1 Ogre Mage 1 Ogre Mage 1 Ogre Mage
1 Ogre Chief 1 Ogre Chief 1 Ogre Chief
2 Hyenedons 1 Hyenedon
Now, I'm up to about 250 Hyenedons killed this play-through, and have gotten about 2 power pluses... kinda low chances, but very easy grinding. Just set your cursor for auto defend, and use a Black Robe (blizzara) with your fastest character (ninja).
For the rest of Stat Bones items, just play through Soul of Chaos until you're comfortable with your stats.

The available Plus items are Power (strength), Mind (intelligence), Stamina, Speed (agility - also raises Accuracy), and Luck. All are only available in Soul of Chaos dungeons (except not in Earthgift Shrine) . Power Plus is the only one available elsewhere, as said before from Hyenadons on B4 of the Cavern of Earth. Each plus item can be used once on one team member to permanently raise the applicable stat from 1 to 3 points. Save before you use one, check the stats, use it, check the stats again, if you didn't get 3 points, reset the game and try again till you do get a 3 point increase in the stat. There are also Silver and Golden Apples for one team member to raise HP by 5 and 10 points and there are Soma Drops to raise MP by 5 points -- these are available from various monster drops and chests throughout the game, including the Soul of Chaos dungeons. There are also stat raising tonics that can be used in battle for a very temporary effect during that battle.
