How can I buy the Soul Steal spell from the Librarian?

I've already 100 percent completed the normal castle and I've just started the reverse castle. Whenever I go back to the librarian, he never has the Soul Steal scroll.

Answer

You don't need to buy it from him (I don't remember if you can); just input the combination and it will appear in your spell list.
Left to Right roll down around to Left, then Right, Attack (circle or square)

Soul Steal(50 MP):
Left, Right, Down-Right, Down, Down-Left, Left, Right + Square.
