"The most expnesive castlvania finally comes to the middle class people."
Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles is a game that is based on the original pc engine Akumajo Dracula X: Chi no Rondo. This Castlevania game is probably the most expensive one in the series however Konami decided to let every one enjoy this game by making it $29.99 and on the psp. The art in the game is no longer like the anime-ish drawings that were on the various version for the Nintendo GBA and DS so I don't know if that is plus or not?
Game Play 8/10: Chi no Rondo's game play is like the Castlevanias before Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was made. This means that it is based on stages. You couldn't really explore the castle, you can't level up if a boss is too hard and there are no fancy weapons to equip. However if you do like thew old Castlevania or would like to see how it felt to play back in the day then this game would be perfect for you. As Richter Belemont, you still at least have your assortment of sub weapons to defeat Dracula. The game in general actually requires skill however it should not be too difficult to beat.
Music 7/10: The music in the game are all re mixes of the original Chi no Rondo game as well as some even older Castlevania theme songs like Vampire Killer.
Length 7/10: the game it self has the 8 original stages and then 8 alternative stages. So beating it 100% might take a while. Also since Richter has an awkward double jump it might take even more time since it some what easy to fall in to pits and etc.
Replay Ability 9/10: In the game you can unlock quite a bunch of good stuff like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and the original version of the game. For Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Konami also included a few extras. Personally (for the extras) I would have wished that they put ion the Sega Saturn port of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night if they were going to put that game in.
So is it worth it to get? Yes because you are getting the most expensive Castlevania game for like about $32.00. That is pretty good since the original version costs like about 200-300 online. Also getting this game would also tell the story of what happened before Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
