How do I wear the costumes?

It says you can wear it at the start of bonus play, but i don't know what they mean.

Based on my experience, you have to finish a game mode at least once (i.e. mortal, spartan, etc...). When you finish the game under that mode, you can replay the game (using the same mode or an easier mode) with your choice of costume, assuming you've unlocked the lot.

Finishing the game once (on any mode/level) will grant you the "Spud of War" costume...

You must click the costumes you want and then start a new game

To start a bonus Play game, select New Game from the main Menu, chosing a difficulty equal or easier to one you have already completed. When it asks If you want to play with all your upgrades, select Yes and it will then let you choose from the costumes you have unlocked, or choose no costume.
