Is there any solution on going after the opposite wall in Oceanum in Hades ?

I got to this level practically in one sitting. It's very much an enjoyable game, except when after I do everything right, I go for the opposite wall, sorta with an angle and I can't get to it. The wall isn't directly in front of Kratos, it's off centered and I keep going into the drink! Can anyone offer a solution? ?????
