Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

"The Best MH Game Yet"
Since the very first MH game for the PS2 , I have been completely hooked on the Monster Hunter Since this game is the latest entry of the MH series it is a definite must-buy for gamers.
The graphics are AWESOME for a PSP game. The enviroments look great to look at and it seems that you are really hunting in a real environment. The details in your characters armour looks great to look at. The graphics in this game is the best in the PSP period.
The gameplay is exactly the same, same controls, same concept. There is however, one BIG difference. There is the felyne fighter which is very useful. Some quests are "gathering" quests and require you to collect samples in the field and return them. It's third person view and is made very well. You cannot "level" up and there is no magic. To get better armor and weapons, you must fight for them and carve materials from said beast. You can also collect a wide variety of herbs, mushrooms, bugs, etc. You will never get tired.
Monster Hunter is so hard at times, it will make you mad just starting your first hour playing it. Although this is a minus, it can provide a challenge for the hardcore gamers. G-ranked quests in this game make group-hunting essential since it is impossible to beat alone.
The controls maximizes the the limit of the psp. Basically, to move the camera, you either hit the L button, or use the directional buttons. It may sound easy but the camera is quite awkward to use at first and may be frustrating when your are fighting the bigger bosses. It takes a lot of practice to do this right. Otherwise, controls are near perfect.
Overall value: 10/10
This game will hook on you immediately. After the ftraining quest defeating the giadrome you feel the satisfaction and is left wanting more. If you are looking for a game which takes all of your commute spare time Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is the game for you. Oh, and don't forget the brilliant 4-player ad-hoc gameplay.
Sometimes the loading can be a pain, but thanks to the new data install feature 2/3 of the actual loading time is cut. How AWESOME is that?
All in all:
Go buy this game now if you have a PSP. You will never regret it.
