Cloud Master is my next FAQ for the Sega Master System Completion Project. It
is a project set up at the FAQ Contributors Board at GameFAQs to give all Sega
Master System games a FAQ. It was started by Masamune3 in the case of the Sega
Master System but there are projects like that for other consoles too.

Enter the wild, fun-filled world of Mike Chen. He's out to learn the secrets of
the five lands so he can become a powerful wizard of the skies! Already he has
tamed a cloud to carry him around. He has learned the art of shooting Ki force
from his fingertips! But standing against him are more wacky, zany creatures
than you can shake your chopsticks at!

Bird men. Flying car heads. Pigs with guns. And flying bowls of soup! Sounds
funny... but remember that each can zap you with a touch! You do have a couple
of tricks up your sleeve. Collect power-up pots to fly faster and make your Ki
force even more powerful! Defeat the mid-round bosses and you will earn the use
of true magic... fireballs, guardian flames and bouncing bombs.

Defeat the five world guardians and you'll become a Cloud Master! Fail, and
you'll be locked in combat forever. Are you really going to let a flying
dumpling get the best of you?

[A] It is the search engine of this FAQ. Press Ctrl and F. Type in the
search code for the section you want to go to. You should be there in
        two steps.

>> CONTROL PAD >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You use it to control the Cloud you fly on. Beginning players will only have to
use the Up and Down part of the Control Pad to move the Cloud up and down. The
more advanced players should also use the Left and Right part to move forward
and back.

>> 1/START >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The 1/START Button isn't only used to confirm your actions in the menus but
also to shoot at your enemies. You can upgrade your weapons multiple times so
take the chance

>> 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You shoot your Special Weapon with this button. You have to buy those Special
Weapons though. This Special Weapons are different kinds of magic.

===============================================================================
     3.2- Weapons [A302]
===============================================================================

-- MAGIC WEAPONS --------------------------------------------------------------
To get these magical weapons, you have to defeat a certain mini boss that
shoots three way Thunder Bolts. You then enter a Door with a question mark on
it and choose a new Special Weapon. You control it by pressing the 2 button.

- Four Way Magic: This is the first Special Weapon in the first Magic Room. If
you release it, four fireballs will surround you. If one of those hits an
enemy, the enemy will die and that fireball will disappear. You can kill four
enemies with one special attack.

- Two Way Magic: It is next to the Four Way Magic in the Magic Shop and it
shoots Fire Balls in two directions. You don't need to be near the enemies to
kill them but they have to be above and beneath you. You can only kill two
enemies at the same time.

- Three Way Magic: This magic is similar to the Two Way Magic; you shoot
Fireballs in three directions. It has a downside though; the third direction
you shoot in is to the left so it is only really useful for those who want the
opportunity to kill every enemy in the game.

- Snake Fire: This is underneath the Four Way Magic in the first Magic Shop and
it launches a snake that is on fire. It will start by revolving around you. It
will start going ahead to kill the other enemies too.

- Bomb Fire: This is the fourth magic in the first magic shop. It launches
small bombs downwards. It will kill any non-boss enemy with one attack. It
isn't easy to aim and only hits one enemy. It is the worst of the weapons.

-- REGULAR WEAPON UPGRADES ----------------------------------------------------
The Power Ups for the regular weapons can be found easily. They appear as Red
pots on the screen after killing certain types of enemies. Some of these Power
Ups will update older ones but if nothing changes; the Power Up you picked up
was less powerful.

- Regular Weapon: This weapon shoots little, single orange Fireballs. It
doesn't shoot very fast and it is equally powerful as all other Fireballs so
the Power Ups don't actually raise the power of the attack.

- P Red Pot: This Red, flashing pot is marked with a giant P. It will change
your Fireballs into Blue Fireballs. You can shoot them a bit faster though. The
P Red Pot will keep adding one upgrade to your weapon every time.

- F Red Pot: This pot is marked with F. This doesn't Power Up your weapon at
all. Luckily, it doesn't downgrade your weapon either.

- A Red Pot: This Red, flashing pot is marked with a giant A. Your weapon will
become Yellow Fireballs again but they shoot faster now.

- S Red Pot: This Red, flashing pot is marked with a giant S. You keep the
colour of your weapon but it will shoot two Fireballs above each other, each
time.

- E Red Pot: This will upgrade your weapon to a state where in you shoots
vertical beams instead of Fireballs. There is only one upgrade after this.

1. The little thing at the left side of the screen is your character, our
little Cloud Master. You have to move him to dodge enemies, enemy fire, and
other obstacles.

2. The levels don't only contain enemies but there are also solid blocks
present that can kill you if you are stuck between them and the left side of
the screen. You won't even survive if you use an Invincibility Cheat.

3. These are your enemies and they come in all shapes and sizes. Everything
that is moving and appears on your screen besides your character is an enemy.
You have to shoot to kill.

4. You aren't the only one that can shoot fire at his opponents. Several of
your enemies can do the same thing although their fire is usually limited to
single, little fireballs.

Due to the nature of the game, I can only give pointers on where the important
enemies will appear. To play out this game you just have to avoid Fireballs and
kill enemies. I'll describe all enemies in Section A502 if you don't understand
which one I mean.

     4.1- Round 1 [A401]
===============================================================================

You start your first level at Mt. Gogyo. It will take a while before the first
enemies appear. Shoot down those two birds first and start shooting at the
Bowls, you have to shoot those to get your first Power Up. After that, there
will appear more Flying Birds, Bowls, and Soup Bowls.

The Sugar Cans you see will leave a Power Up for you. A bit further, around the
time you see the second turtle on the floor, a Hawaiian looking person will
appear. He'll shoot Thunderbolts at you and is hard to kill. You have to kill
him to get to the Magic Door. The best way to kill him is keep shooting while
going up and down to avoid those Thunderbolts. This gets harder when there are
many enemies.

You'll be able to get three more Power Ups from those Bowls and Sugar Cans.
That is all for this level. Before reaching the second Hawaiian dude, you'll
see new Ground Troops. Equally hard to defeat as the Turtles but with a bit
more Fire Power. They are walking pigs. You'll quickly reach the Boss after the
Hawaiian dude.

This is a giant bird with two wings and a beautiful tail. If he couldn't
fly, you'd think it was a chicken instead of a Phoenix. He has two
attacks. The first one is shooting two feathers from his head. He also
has a stronger, more difficult to avoid attack. He shoots multiple
feathers, up to ten, at you. You'll have to search for the hole in the
formation. Anyway, killing him is a bit easier if you still have one of
your stronger weapons. Aim for his beak to kill him.

===============================================================================

The level starts off with a couple more Birds and Bowls. They aren't hard to
defeat. Soon after that, catheads start to appear. They are very fast. They
will continue to come at you for a while combined with Pig Heads and new Ground
soldiers.

A bit further, a queen like figure will appear. She'll shoot Thunderbolts at
you and is hard to kill. You have to kill her to get to the Magic Door. The
best way to kill her is keep shooting while going up and down to avoid those
Thunderbolts. This gets harder when there are many enemies.

The first set of Bowls after her will give you a Power Up Item. After that,
you'll see monkeys running on the ground. On a certain moment, rocks will start
to appear. They are part of the background. The first soldier you'll see after
them gives you a Power Up. After that, a new Queen will appear. You'll reach
the boss soon after that.

This is a giant froglike creature with a spear in his hands. He floats on
an object just like your cloud to make him float. His only attack is

===============================================================================

You're at the Great Wall of China now. The level starts with a couple of Cat
Heads and regular bowls. You'll see a new type of ground soldier too; he shoots
less than the other types but carries a shield. You won't get any Power Ups
until you kill the Sugar Cans. You'll see a couple of new enemies appearing
like the Mushrooms.

There will be knifes on the background, they can't hurt you. A bit further, a
Buddha like figure will appear. He'll shoot Thunderbolts at you and is hard to
kill. You have to kill his to get to the Magic Door. The best way to kill his
is keep shooting while going up and down to avoid those Thunderbolts. This gets
harder when there are many enemies.

When you see two Cat Soldiers at the bottom of the screen, kill them to get a
Power Up. You'll encounter another Buddha like figure a bit later too. You'll
find the boss about thirty seconds later, he is another Buddha like figure but
a big better.

This is a big Green Dragon so he doesn't need a cloud like the last two
bosses. That isn't a big problem. He uses the same Circle Waves like the
last opponent but he shoots more of them. His weak spot is also at the
top of his head. Any weapon will do.

===============================================================================

You're in heaven now and the level starts with Birds and Bowls but you'll
encounter all kinds of enemies in this level. The Guardian is a golden Lion
now. He'll shoot Thunderbolts at you and is hard to kill. You have to kill his
to get to the Magic Door. The best way to kill his is keep shooting while going
up and down to avoid those Thunderbolts. This gets harder when there are many
enemies.

You'll encounter another one of those when you have seen the third dragon.
You'll reach the last boss of the game after another five Dragons.

This is a giant samurai on a cloud. He has a sword that he uses to shoot
fireballs with. He'll usually shoot one fireball followed by a parade of

This is a giant froglike creature with a spear in his hands. He floats on
an object just like your cloud to make him float. His only attack is
releasing Thunderbolts from his spear. His weak spot is the Red/White
flashing spot on his head. You have to hit him there. Only attacks that
go in three ways can hit that spot so you can't do anything there when
you have only your regular weapon.

He sits on a cloud and shoots circle waves and fireballs at you. That are
the only attacks he has. His weakness is the flashing dot on his head. It

give you many Power Ups but he is hard to kill because of the shield.
