"Mario moves to 16 Bits."

Super Mario World: One of the best Mario Games in the Series, One of the best games for the Super Nintendo, and one of the greatest games of all time. Just what makes this game so great? Is it the return of such classic Characters like Mario and Luigi? Or Maybe the excellent platforming the Mario series has always delivered? It could even be the large range of playable levels. Just what is it that makes the game so great?

GAME-PLAY:10/10
The classic platforming system. Move with D-Pad, Jump with A. Couldn't be any easier, and its simple enough for even our parents to understand. You can hit a box to get an item, which can give you new powers plus more life. You simply jump on an enemy to kill it, and
the goal of every level is simply to make it to the end. Its very simple and requires little understanding, and often thats the best type of game-play system there is.

CHARACTERS:8/10
Who doesn't love the Mario Characters? Mario, the Italian Plumber, Princess Peach, the helpless damsel who seems to be kidnapped every other week, or Bowser, the Koopa with a scary demeanor, who may not have the greatest mind in the world. This game also introduced one of the best Mario characters in the entire series: Yoshi. The cute green dinosaur would accompany Mario on many more journeys in the future, and even star in many of his own games. Who doesn't love him?

STORY:5/10
Okay, the I always dock points off the story for Mario Games. The reason behind that? The story is ALWAYS THE SAME. Princess Peach is captured by Bowser, Mario must rescue her. This was a good idea for the first game, because nobody had heard of kidnapped princesses at the time, but after several games, the idea gets tired. Aw, well.

GRAPHICS:8/10
This was one of the first games to feature 16 bit graphics. As such, that was considered and incredible technological advancement, and my personal favorite in terms of look. The game looks beautiful, and Mario truly takes on his look for the first time.

MUSIC:8/10
The classic score of Super Mario World will probably never be forgotten. The dark, mysterious symphony of the caves, the pleasant, morning-like sounds of Yoshis Island, and the scary, cruel music heard when you enter a castle. All of these make for a game with great music.

OVERALL:9/10
And So, When you combine awesome characters, beautiful music, excellent graphics, classic game-play, and a so-so story, you have one awesome game, truly a great one to package with the Super Nintendo as a way to showcase it. So definitely, play it.
