"An epic story of sacrifice, betrayal, love and friendship"
Square has always been the king of rpg's and i guess they have once again proved it.Final fantasy 2 is not the greatest FF but surely worth more than a glace. With an epic storyline revolving around sacrifices, what else can you expect? The story is as usual just what you would expect from Square. The plot twists and turns and spins and will keep you glued in front of your tv till you finally confront the final boss.
Although Nobou Uematsu did a fantastic job in composing the music,i woudn't excatly say it's perfect. When you compare to other masterpeices such as music from Yasunori Mitsuda it really pales in comparison. There's one particular love them in the game however which really caught my attention. The theme was so beautifully orchestrated that you really feel as in you are part of the game.
Every game has it's flaws.I guess FF2 do has some major ones. The main complaint i have are the controls. You can only move your characters in 4 directions.Up,down, left and right. This is okay but the speed of your characters are also pathetically slow. There is no run button for you to make your character move faster. The second thing is the game is too freakin easy. The bosses are too easy and i only died once in the entire game.
Aside those few complaints, these game still kicks ass. It's really hard to find now but if you could still manage to get hold of this fabulous game,i suggest you be prepared to lock out your love ones for the next week or so.
