Why does the game keep erasing my save files every time i turn off the game?
After i save my progress either at a dragon statue or a church when i turn my console off and turn it back on my save files have been erased.

The battery in your cartridge is dead. You need to replace it. This is not a gameplay issue, and as such I can't help you any further with it.
