1. What's the game about?

In the near future, the faltering "Family Restaurant Industry" began to 
sponsor fighting tournaments featuring members of their own staff in order
to boost their patronage...  
Thus began the sport of Full-Contact Waitressing. As it quickly becomes 
known as more of a success than even the most optimistic restauranteur had
hoped.

To enter the tournaments, one must have a sponsoring resturaunt (but those
who enter can be their own sponsors if they have a resturaunt), a will to
fight and be female.  If any waitresses were to win the entire sectional 
tournament (each section ending whenever the fighters felt like it and
starting the next spring), she would get ten million dollars and her choice 
of prime real estate in any city she desires.  However, losing can often
carry the burden of having to put on an embarrassing performance to the 
victor's whims or possibly even strip naked in front of the viewing audience.

Because of these embarrassing costs, not all fighter/waitresses desire to
enter the tournament and the tournament has come under fire from some strong
critics.  So, depending on the level of the victory, one might not have to
strip, but they will have to do something asinine and embarrassing. Besides,
they may not have a viewing audience as some fights quickly get out of hand.

Despite the more-than-blatant assaults on the sport and the high risk of 
embarrassment, there are still many brave waitresses that enter the
tournament in hopes of winning the money.  Some out of desperation, some out
of desire and others because they're secretly exihibitionists?

2. What features are there in the game?

There are 9 playable characters, the usual Street Fighter-esque gameplay 
and button layout, except Super VG doesn't use the L or R shoulder buttons.
There are 8 different difficulty settings.
And a cool anime-style intro! Sweet deal!

The most prominent feature of the game is the fact that there are only 
girls in it!

The battle stages are also in some cases parallaxing (a technique that
makes the stages look more 3D than 2D).

The modes in the game are as follows:
- Normal mode: Pick a fighter and beat all your opponents

- VS mode: You can choose between
           1P  vs  Com : Practice by choosing your fighter, then choose who
                         you want to fight against
           1P  vs  2P  : If you have a friend, sibling or animal, this is
                         the player versus player mode
           Com vs  Com : Watch two computer-controlled fighters duke it out


Handicap: In VS mode, you can choose a handicap if one player is better 
          than the other (like if you're playing against your dog). The
          higher the rating, the more beating you can take before losing

4. What options are there in the game?

The options menu has these options:

Game level: 1-8, with 8 being the hardest

Time: If you want the timer on or not. It will always start on 99

Control Pad: Change the controls used for player 1 or 2.
             *Note: You can only change player 2's controls with
             joypad 2

Sound Select: Listen to the music (00-0E), the sounds (0F-29) and the
              voice samples (2A-6E) in the game

Sound mode: Choose between Stereo or Mono sound

6.  What are the special moves for the characters?


Legend:
                    Layout of the Joypad    

NP = Normal Punch      	 bu  u  fu       Charge means hold the direction for

I'm going to use abbreviations for the most used joypad motions. These are:

qcf = quarter-circle forward. This means down-downforward-forward
qcb = quarter-circle backward
hcf = half-circle forward

Also, when I write 'Charge', it means you should hold that direction for
two seconds, then release and press the next button(s) in the sequence.
Just remember, you can charge back while crouching too. This is especially
advantageous in versus battles, since your friend will know what attack you
are going to use if you walk backwards for too long.

Notes on the different attacks:
-------------------------------
AA = Anti-Air. Use this attack to protect yourself from enemies attacking 
               from above. This includes uppercuts and the like.
P     = Projectile attack. 
H     = This attack hits high. It can be blocked by a standing opponent. 
        *Note: All air attacks hit high and cannot be blocked by a crouching 
         opponent
M     = This attack hits middle. It can be blocked by a standing or crouching
        opponent
L     = This attack hits low. It can only be blocked while crouching
multi = This attack hits multiple times


 qcf + HP  means you should press down, down-forward, then forward and 
           hard punch at the same time.



Note: All of the moves and button-pressing combinations listed are for a 
fighter on the left side of the screen attacking an opponent on the right
side of the screen. If you are attacking from right-to-left, the moves are
reversed. 

When you execute a special attack, you would usually use the HP or HK
(I would). However, the NP or NK will result in a slower or shorter version.
For example, a projectile will fly slower, and an uppercut will not go as 
high into the air, neither would it do as much damage. 

*A note on throws: To throw your opponent, stand close to him and press
forward into him. Now press HP or HK to throw the opponent to the right.
But! If you want to throw your opponent to the left instead after you've
pressed HP or HK, quickly press back to throw him the other way.

Appearance: Yellow uniform with white shirt. Pony-tail.
Goals: She enters the V.G. Tournament solely to test her strength and skill
Background: The main character of Variable Geo, Yuka is a normal teenager
            with a heart of gold who lives in Tokyo. Her parents died when
            she was very young, and she was raised in the ways of the 
            martial arts by her grandfather. She now practices the art of
            Full-Contact Waitressing at "Hanna Miller's" restaurant.
Win Quote: "Yosh!" (Alright!)


Notes: 
Yuka is the Ryu of the game. She has the standard fireball and Dragon Punch
attacks, and all her moves are executed like Ryu and Ken's.
She even has the same goal as Ryu!

JUN KUBOTA

Appearance: Yellow uniform, red headband and long red boots
Goals: To prove she's the strongest woman in the world!
Background: Once an Olympic wrestler, Jun was disqualified for her continued
            unsportsmanlike conduct. She later turned to Full-Contact
            Waitressing at the Sukaraaku restaurant. Jun is the strongest
            woman in the world--at least in her own mind--and gets a special
            thrill out of being cruel to her opponents.
            She also has a real problem with Elirin being an American, or
            'gaijin' as Jun calls her.

Notes: 
The grappler character. Every fighting game needs one of these. Jun pays
her respect to Zangief by using one of his win poses :)

Also, I know nothing about wrestling, so if anyone wants to correct me on
the names of the throws and grapple moves Jun uses, please feel free to do
so.

I rate Jun as the worst character in the game, simply because I hate those
slow, strong characters. And I still haven't been able to perform her
Flying Backbreaker attack.

Appearance: Looks like a ninja, has a leather skirt, bracers and long

Goals: To win the million dollar prize of the VG tournament and ditch her 
       ninja clan to forge a new life of her own.
Background: Chiho Masuda is the last heir to the Masuda ninja clan who was
            forced into ninjitsu training by her grandfather. It seems that
            she doesn't like the harsh life of a ninja and wants to have 
            freedom. She almost never shows emotion, except at movies, which
            is why people think she'd make a good actress. She also enjoys 
            hanging out in bars and getting drunk.

            an Idol Singer, but she enters the world of Full-Contact 
            Waitressing at thinking it's all just a game. And of course,
            whenever someone tries to tell her otherwise, she either cried
            until her adoring fans took pity on her, or just hit them alot.

Notes: 
Every other time you use the Glove Boomerang attack, you will take damage
when the mitten returns to you, but only about 1 pixel worth. Just don't
expect any 'perfect' victories if you use it.

Goals: Her brother Daisuke is in the hospital, and she needs the money for
       a very expensive operation.
Background: She's a close friend of Yuka. She doesn't really like to fight,
            but is willing to do anything for her hospitalized brother.
Win Quote: "Yatta!" (I won!)


Notes: 
The CPU likes to use the Slide attack a lot, so watch out for that. Also,
the Fire Bomber attack only goes a set length, so it's generally pretty 
useless.

Background: SOTO is the hottest, most modern techno-rave dance club / 
            bar&grille in town, and one of the biggest attractions there is
            their star Full-Contact Waitress--Ayako. Ayako's hobby--when 
            she's not dancing or fighting--is beating up on would-be purse
            snatchers, rapists and other such thugs who abuse women.
            Ayako works for Reimi, but she is in love with Satomi.

Fun character. If this was a 3D-game, she'd be kinda like Eddie Gordo from
Tekken 3.

Goals: To get enough money so she can move her grandmother to Japan
Background: Originally born in the United States, Elirin came to Japan to
            fulfill her dream of owning a Full-Contact Waitressing 
            restaurant. Her high-spirited good nature coupled with a unique
            fighting style all but guaranteed her success. She takes quite
            a lot of pride in The Rival--the restaurant she owns--and acts
            as both manager and featured fighter.

Notes: 
She's a bit slow for me, but does a good deal of damage. Her Bunny Hop
attack is also really hard to dodge. That of course means that the computer
will use it a lot.

Background: Kaori is Reimi's long-term rival. They've worked together a 
            few times, and they may be friends on occasion, but Kaori is 
            determined to beat Reimi. 
Win Quote: "Gomen-nasai." (I'm sorry.)


Notes: 
Uses only her feet to attack (Kim Kahpwan-wannabe?). Since she is pretty
fast, and her HP and HK are automatic combo-attacks, she's pretty dangerous.
Oh, and also my favorite in case you wondered :)

            father (killed by her mom?). Reimi exudes arrogance and power 
            like a powerful perfume and proves herself to be the most 
            powerful VG fighter constantly.

7. What are the individual character endings?

Since I don't speak Japanese, and even less reads Japanese, I have no idea
what goes on in the endings.

If someone feels particularily generous, they can send in translations of
the endings, and make me very happy :)

9. Where can I get the game, anyway?

Since you downloaded ther FAQ, you probably already have the game, but if
you don't, there are three ways that I can think of.
You can go to the bargain bin at your local game retailer (if they sell
old, Japanese SNES games), you can maybe mail-order it, or *gasp* 
ILLEGALLY download a ROM of the game, and an emulator to play it on. Don't
ask me about this, I won't answer.
