Well, hello again. This guide is going to give you all the information
about how to locate all of the bonus levels and help you get all of the
Banana Birds in DKC3. This is my second FAQ, and I intend to cover all
of that information to the very best of my ability. If there are any
concerns, questions, or whichever, feel free to contact me by e-mail.
Thank you so much.

C. About this guide
=====================
This guide will be separated into two sections. I will cover the
bonus levels first, and the Banana Birds afterwards. I will also label
each stage as a number, dash, then another number, such as 1-1 (in
this case, the first 1 would be the area number, the second would
be the stage number. I will also explain the type of bonus level,
time limit, and what you should do to complete the level to earn
a bonus coin. I will also give you some hints about what kind of
level you are dealing with.

=======================
D. Bonus Level Guide
=======================
Ok, on to the good stuff now! There are eight areas in this game
(including Krematoa), and five stages in each area. (Since you can
choose between two areas after clearing Kremwood Forest, I'll label
Cotton-Top Cove as area 3, and Mekanos as area 4.) Here we go.

========================
AREA 1: Lake Orangatanga
========================
A peaceful lake area that promises plenty of action for a beginner.
This area is pretty easy to complete and is a good place to warm up
your skills...especially finding bonus levels. ;)

======================
1-1: Lakeside Limbo
======================
As usual, the first stage is the easiest, and so are the bonus levels.
The first one is in plain sight, while the second requires you to
jump into the water to get into it...

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (50 stars)
Time Limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: To get here, use Dixie and perform the team-up maneuver.
Have her throw that overweight toddler at the cracked section of the
bridge to gain access to the bonus level. Inside, you need to collect
50 stars. It's all too easy, as all you have to do is use the rope
to collect the first 10 or so, then drop down and collect the rest of
them to earn your first bonus coin!

Bonus Level 2: Grab 15 Bananas!
Time Limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: Past the halfway mark, you might notice a bonus level
hanging under the bridge. Drop down into the water and jump into it.
Inside, get the bananas as they appear. 15 of them will earn you a
bonus coin. *These types are the hardest type of bonus level, so
get used to doing this.*

And your next stop would be...the inside of a mill, and the next
stage...

=================
1-2: Doorstop Dash
=================
Another easy stage; this one you'll need to use the levers to
open the doors and then dash under them quickly before they close
on you. Getting to the two bonus levels are simple, as long as you
know where to look...

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (60 stars)
Time Limit: 30 seconds
Strategy: After passing under the three green buzzers and through the
door, you should notice a rope leading up. Instead of going up, go
left and you'll see a lever and a 1-up balloon. Use Dixie to toss
Kiddy up to the lever to open the door, and then glide over to the
1-up balloon and the bonus level that sits behind it. Inside, use the
levers to open the door and collect 60 stars in 30 seconds to claim
another bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Find the Coin!
Time Limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: After the halfway mark and after climbing the rope guarded
by a buzzer, there'll be two paths: one leading left and the other
leading right guarded by a buzzer. Go right. Pull on the lever (while
watching out for that buzzer) and enter the bonus room. Inside, jump
from lever to lever (again, look out for the buzzers) and claim the
bonus coin that awaits you at the end of the level.

Back outside you go, but hopefully, you know how to swim. You
might need to do some swimming to fight the tide in this next stage...

==================
1-3: Tidal Trouble
==================
This is just like Lakeside Limbo, only you will be in the water for
most of the stage, and the current will be going against you, so
be careful. Getting to the first bonus room is easy enough, but you
might need to take a few tries getting to the second, as you'll need
to do Kiddy's bounce jump to get there.

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (30 stars)
Time Limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "O', drop down into the water.
Go left to find Enguarde the Swordfish and change into him. Supercharge
to the right, and he'll kill all of the Kocos as well as get you into
the first bonus level. Inside, collect the stars to get the bonus coin.
You can kill the Lurchin if you're careful enough.

Bonus Level 2: Bash the Baddies!
Time Limit: 10 seconds
Strategy: Collect the letter "N" and STOP! Get ready to perform
Kiddy's bounce maneuver to get to this next bonus level. If you
mess up, you can't get back up there, so you'll either have to
intentionally lose a life or retry the stage again. Inside, kill all
of the beetles to earn another bonus coin. It appears in the water,
so drop down off the rope and collect it.

If you're a winter person, you might enjoy this next stage. It's
also populated with guys called Skidda, so...stay alert....

=================
1-4: Skidda's Row
=================
This is one of three icy stages in the game, and it's the easiest.
Be careful not to slip into any holes, though, and watch out for
Skidda. Both bonus levels are in plain sight, and getting to them
shouldn't be too difficult.

Bonus Level 1: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 10 seconds
Strategy: Soon after you enter this snowy stage, you'll see a bonus
barrel out in the open. Take a leap off the top platform to get into
it. Inside, your job is to defeat four Skiddas in ten seconds. If you
succeed, you get the bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: After the blizzard recedes a bit (after the halfway mark),
you'll see two Skiddas slipping about on top of a house. They're
guarding the second bonus level, so be careful and jump on one them
and get in there! Inside, all you have to do is get to the end of
the level to get the coin. You can defeat all the enemies in your
way if you want, but it's not necessary.

You'd better not be afraid of the dark, because if you are, you
won't like this next stage. You're back in the mill, and you'll
have to guide a certain Ellie through a dark and spooky mill...

===============
1-5: Murky Mill
===============
This can be considered the hardest stage in Lake Orangatanga, mainly
because of those darned rats, and the darkness. But don't worry, it's
not too hard. Just look out for those bonus levels...they're not hard
to find.

Bonus Level 1: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: Directly after the halfway mark is a buzzer above a trap
door. Have Ellie grab a nearby steel barrel and get him out of the way,
then drop down the trap door and into the bonus level. Inside, use the
steel barrel to kill all four buzzers to get the bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: Drop down the shaft after getting the letter "N" and go
to the left. There is a hidden barrel which will shoot you upwards.
Use the steel barrel to destroy the bottom buzzer to gain access to
the second bonus level. Inside, use careful timing and avoid all the
buzzers. Get to the end to get the bonus coin.

After that, defeat Belcha and you should have a total of 11 bonus
coins already. Your next stop should be Kremwood Forest...

=======================
AREA 2: Kremwood Forest
=======================
These bonus areas are slightly harder, but still easy enough so
that you don't have too much of a headache trying to find them.

==========================
2-1: Barrel-Shield Bust Up
==========================
It's your first vertical stage, and it's not too hard finding bonus
levels, as long as you pay attention to your surroundings. As long
as you avoid the monkeys' nuts, you'll be alright...

Bonus Level 1: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: Play the stage until you see a TNT barrel placed on the
right side of the rope, and a banana placed on the other side of
the tree trunk. Use it to blow a hole and a path to the bonus level
that awaits on the other side. Inside, avoid the nuts and drop down
the other side to get the bonus coin. Don't take too long, because
you've only got 15 seconds to do it.

Bonus Level 2: Grab 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 35 seconds
Strategy: At the end of the level, there is a TNT barrel placed on
the ledge. Blow a hole in the trunk and jump to the top. Use Dixie and
glide through the holes to the bonus level. Inside, you must grab
15 bananas while avoiding the monkeys' nuts. It's not too hard, so
if you have trouble, keep trying until you get it right.

You took your time getting through the first level, but this next stage
will keep you on the move. It really isn't a race, per se, but you'll
be racing to keep ahead of the angry swarm of bees that chase you...

===================
2-2: Riverside Race
===================
It's advised that you beat Brash's time of 1:15 before attempting to
get to any bonus levels. Therefore, you might end up doing this stage
more than once. If you haven't got the hang of Kiddy's bounce jump,
then you'll be in some serious trouble finding bonus levels.

Bonus Level 1: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 10 seconds
Strategy: After getting the letter "K", prepare to perform the bounce
jump across this next span of water. If you screw up, you can try again
but keep in mind that those bees are constantly following you, and you
may lose Kiddy in the process if you're not careful enough. Inside the
bonus level, defeat the four enemies to gain another bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Grab 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: After getting the letter "N", drop into the water and go
left. There is an invincibility barrel there that you can use to
kill the three red buzzers ahead. Jump from buzzer to buzzer to get
to the higher ledge and the bonus level. Inside, collect 15 more
bananas while avoiding the Koco in the water. Simple enough, right?

Another mill, another mouse. Well, the doors in this next mill stage
are all closed, unless you can defeat all the mousies in the wheels...

======================
2-3: Squeals on Wheels
======================
The mousies in this stage are located in wheels, and you'll need
to defeat each one to keep going through the level. Fortunately, the
bonus levels are easy enough to find...

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars (30 stars)
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: Get the letter "O" and keep going left. You'll
see a mousie in a wheel. Jump on top of the wheel and to the left and
you'll see the bonus level right there. Inside, collect the stars
and get the bonus coin. It might be better to use Dixie in this
bonus level, because you can glide through the stars.

Bonus Level 2: Grab 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: After the halfway mark should be two mousies. Defeat them,
and then use a team throw to get to the top wheel. Jump to the ledge
up there and enter the bonus level. Inside, get 15 bananas again.
No traps this time, but do watch your jumping, especially if you're
playing as Kiddy.

Arachnaphobics should steer clear of this next stage. There are
spiders everywhere, and they'll help you get to the top of this
seemingly long stage...

======================
2-4: Springin' Spiders
======================
The spiders in this level all have platforms on them, so you can
jump on them safely, while they carry you to higher platforms.
You might want the help of a feathered friend to gain access to the
first bonus level.

Bonus Level 1: Grab 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 45 seconds
Strategy: It's going to be hard to get in here without Squawks, so first
go find him, then fly straight up through a tunnel of bananas, and then
ultimately you'll find the bonus level. Inside, as Squawks, collect
15 bananas while avoiding the buzzer. You cannot kill this buzzer,
so don't waste time trying. Instead, treat it as an obstacle. Collect
the bonus coin at the bottom of the room and exit.

Bonus Level 2: Collect the Stars! (30 stars)
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: Near the end of the stage, there should be a semi-hidden
Swoopy that will let you gain access to the letter "G". After that,
is a red spider and a small pit. Drop into that small pit to find
the bonus level. Inside, use the spider to collect the first nine,
then (if you have Dixie), glide through the other 21. Otherwise, you'll
have to repeat the process until you get them all.

Another adventure with Ellie is coming up in the next stage, this time
she'll have to contend with Nibbla, a very hungry piranha who eats
anything that intends to take a swim in his water. Barrels are your
only hope of getting past him...

=========================
2-5: Bobbing Barrel Brawl
=========================
Again, you'll be in control of Ellie as you try to work your
way through this section of the forest. The first bonus area is
in plain sight, and should be obvious on how to get into it.
The second, however, is another story...

Bonus Level 1: Find the Coin!
Time Limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "O", you'll go into a blast
barrel and sail over the first bonus level. Hopefully you have some
water in stock with Ellie. Shoot the bird hovering above, and it'll
drop a TNT barrel on the red buzzer, killing it and granting you
access to the bonus level. Inside, use the barrel to make platforms
across the water to get to the other side where the bonus coin is.
If you fall in, you're most likely going to be lunch for Nibbla,
so be careful.

Bonus Level 2: Collect the Stars! (10 stars)
Time limit: 10 seconds
Strategy: Soon after getting the halfway mark, you'll cross a stretch
of water with no Nibbla guarding it. The bonus level lies under the
water, but remember that Ellie can't swim, so you'll have to find
some other way to get into it. Keep going until you see two beetles
play "take off" and stop in mid air. Jump on both of them and hold
left. You should land with enough force to get you into the bonus
level. Inside, get 10 stars while avoiding the Nibbla to get the
bonus coin.

After two areas, you should have 21 bonus coins by this point. Defeat
Arich to get the patch and then after you get the Hovercraft, sail
past the rocks to gain access to one of two areas: Cotton-Top Cove
or Mekanos. I'll cover Cotton-Top Cove next, so we'll stop there
first, since it's easier than Mekanos.

=======================
AREA 3: Cotton-Top Cove
=======================
This is mainly a watery area, so prepare to do a lot of swimming,
barrel-blasting, and jumping to find all the bonus levels located
here...

=====================
3-1: Bazza's Blockade
=====================
This is your first underwater stage, and it's not too hard. Bazza,
the green barracuda will try to stop you countless times, but as long
as you can maneuver around them, then you will be ok. Finding the bonus
areas are simple enough as well...

Bonus Level 1: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: Swim through until you find an arch of bananas and Bazzas
swimming below you faster than the last few you've seen. Swim under
them to locate the bonus level. Inside, get to the end of the
passageway while avoiding the evil fishies to get to the bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 30 seconds
Strategy: About 2/3 through the stage, you'll see a pair of Bazzas
blocking your way up a small underwater shaft, and Bazzas coming
from the left. Swim either above or below the Bazzas coming from
that way then drop down to find the bonus level. Inside, as Enguarde,
destroy all the Kocos peeping in and out of the holes to get the
bonus coin which appears at the top of the shaft.

Did you ever wonder what it would be like to ride in a rocketship?
Now you can find out...well, at least Dixie and Kiddy will.
In this next stage, you'll be using barrels that act like rocketships
to get to the top of this waterfall...

=======================
3-2: Rocket Barrel Ride
=======================
This stage is pretty easy, as well. You'll use the rocketship barrels
to work your way to the top and through the bonus levels. Nothing too
special about this level, although it does have nice music. :)

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (20 stars)
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: Soon enough, you'll come to a rocket barrel that has a
buzzer and a beetle flying next to each other. Shoot over the buzzer
and onto the beetles and into the bonus room. Inside, use the rocket
barrel to collect twelve of the stars, then find the other eight
on the sides of the waterfall. Very easy, if you ask me. ;)

Bonus Level 2: Collect the Stars! (60 stars)
Time limit: 35 seconds
Strategy: About 2/3 of the way through the stage, you should notice
a rocket barrel that is positioned behind the waterfall. Jump over it
and drop down to the ledge below and you'll see the bonus level in
plain sight. Inside, you'll need to use four rocket barrels to
collect 60 stars in 35 seconds. Collect them, then collect the
bonus coin to your right. Also very easy.

Prepare to do some rope rumbling in the next stage. It won't be easy,
as there are Klasps guarding those ropes, and if you come in contact
with one, your character will go boom...literally. As if that wasn't
enough, Nibbla's patrolling the waters below, making monkey sushi
out of anyone who drops in for a swim...

====================
3-3: Kreeping Klasps
====================
The Klasps are the guys in TNT barrels who are climbing the
ropes along with you in this level. Stay clear of them, or else,
you'll get blown to bits. Also, watch out for Nibbla in the water!
This also holds true for the second bonus level.

Bonus Level 1: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: You'll notice two buzzers guarding the upper rope soon
after you enter this stage. Carefully avoid the buzzers and get into
the bonus level that's above. Inside, you'll need to get 15 more
bananas to get the bonus coin. This is just like the bonus level
from Lakeside Limbo, only Nibbla guards the water below, so don't fall
in!

Bonus Level 2: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: After the halfway mark, you'll see a pair of Klasps on the
rope below you, as well as a Klasp on the rope you're using. Below the
pair is a blast barrel; carefully get past the Klasp pair and get to
the blast barrel, which will shoot you to the bonus barrel, which
shoots you to the bonus level. Inside, dodge the Klasps and get to
the end of the level to find the bonus coin.

Whew, that's over with. Now this next stage has you going up another
waterfall, but this time, you'll be using a different type of
barrel and a familiar friend to get you past this stage...

========================
3-4: Tracker Barrel Trek
========================
The tracker barrels (the ones with a "T" on them), automatically
shoot you upwards and will catch you as you fall back down, but
their range is limited. Use these barrels to maneuver around in
the bonus levels. Also, Ellie returns to help you out in the second
half of the stage, and in the second bonus level.

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (70 stars)
Time limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: When you get to the second tracker barrel, use it to get to
the higher ledge, and then use Dixie to glide to the right and into
a bonus level. Inside, use the two tracker barrels to collect 70
stars to get the bonus coin. Very easy.

Bonus Level 2: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: As soon as you transform into Ellie, go to the right to
take out the two big guys, then jump onto the small ledge above. Use
the tracker barrel and shoot down two buzzers and then blast into the
bonus level ahead. Inside, fall into the tracker barrel, then use it
to maneuver and kill all the beetles. Just remember NOT to jump at the
start or you will get hit. The last beetle is on the ledge to the
far right; kill it and claim your prize!

You'll have to do a bit of babysitting for this next stage, or should
I say, Nibbla-sitting! Take care of him, and he'll let you go
through without a scratch, but neglect him, and you'll wish you
hadn't plunged into that water...

=====================
3-5: Fish Food Frenzy
=====================
Baby Nibbla follows you through the entire stage, and his mood depends
on whether you get through there alive or not. Make sure you feed him
lots of Kocos (the clownfish), and have him stay away from the Lurchins.
He'll have a feast in the second bonus area, though.

Bonus Level 1: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 35 seconds
Strategy: Shortly after entering this stage, you might notice a
Lurchin swimming up and down pretty fast. This is where the bonus
level is. You can either dodge it, or have Baby Nibbla munch it,
it's your choice. Inside, get 15 bananas, no traps this time, and
claim another bonus coin when done.

Bonus Level 2: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 35 seconds
Strategy: Near the end of the stage, there'll be three Lurchins in
three small shafts swimming up and down very fast. Have Baby Nibbla
eat the last one, and swim up to get into the bonus level. Inside,
have Baby Nibbla munch on all the Kocos and then claim the bonus
coin which appears in the middle.

If you've been following this guide so far, you should have 31 bonus
coins total. After defeating Squirt at Cotton-Top Cove, you'll gain the
ski. Skis come in pairs, and the other part is in Mekanos, which is
where we're going next...

===============
AREA 4: Mekanos
===============
An industrial area with factories, sewers and stuff. Here is where
the bonus levels get challenging, as well as the stages themselves.
Hope you're ready for this rather tough area.

=====================
4-1: Fire-ball Frenzy
=====================
This stage takes place inside a factory, which has bats in the
background constantly shooting fireballs into the foreground, lava
vats and trecherous ropes. Try not to get burned looking for those
bonus levels in this stage, ok?

Bonus Level 1: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: The first bonus level is located shortly after the
halfway mark. Slowly drop down the shaft until you see another bat
off to the lower left. Make your way to that platform. Now quickly
jump to the left following the trail of bananas or gliding, whichever,
and you'll see the bonus level off to the left on the other side
of the lava vat. Inside, use Squitter (hey, it's about time we've
seen this guy!) and shoot web shots at all the buzzers to get the
bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 30 seconds
Strategy: Before reaching the letter "N", you might notice a bat
that shoots three fireballs at a time really fast, a banana and a
platform above you. You'll need both Kongs for this one. As Kiddy,
take Dixie and throw her to the platform above and then jump to the
right, while avoiding that same bat. The bonus level is to your right.
Inside, get 15 bananas while avoiding the fireballs from the bats, to
get your bonus coin.

Now, if you like riding toboggans, you might enjoy this next stage.
Instead of riding on snow, you'll be riding in the sewers, and those
bonus levels are hidden, so be on the lookout for lone bananas...

=========================
4-2: Demolition Drainpipe
=========================
You can tell by the music that this level is a speedy level, so
get ready to take a wild ride through a buzzer infested sewer.
The two bonus levels are hidden, so follow closely...

Bonus Level 1: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 10 seconds
Strategy: To get here, look for the bunch of bananas at the top
portion of the pipe. Go past that and there should be two buzzers,
one on the bottom and one in the middle with a lone banana hanging
directly above him. This lone banana is the bonus level, so bounce
off the lower buzzer, onto the middle buzzer and into the bonus level.
Inside, you'll have to defeat six beetles to get the bonus coin.
If you miss one, you'll have to restart the entire level again,
or intentionally lose a life (if you have lives to lose.) If you don't,
just continue on with the level and after you've beaten it, come back
and retry that bonus level.

Bonus Level 2: Collect the Stars! (20 stars)
Time limit: 10 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "N", look for a lone beetle
sitting in the middle of the stage. Bounce off of it to get to the
top portion of the pipe, then quickly hold down and B to get to the
lone banana that's below you. This is the bonus level. Inside, you
need to collect all 20 stars to get the bonus coin. If you miss one,
you have to retry again, so be careful.

Now apparantly, someone is taking a giant hacksaw and cutting down
the nearby forest. Unfortunately for Dixie and Kiddy, they must get
through this forest to proceed, and that hacksaw looks pretty
nasty...

================
4-3: Ripsaw Rage
================
This stage is dangerous. A giant hacksaw will be on your tail through
the whole stage, and if you touch it, you lose a Kong. Plus, the stage
is autoscrolling, so you need to keep an eye out for any other enemies,
as well as lone barrels, which lead you to the bonus levels in this
stage.

Bonus Level 1: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "O", you'll notice a barrel off
to the right. Use it to destroy the nearby green buzzer, and then
quickly run left and jump into the bonus level. Inside, quickly get to
the top of the level without being diced up by that nasty hacksaw
to get yet another bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: Shortly after the second DK barrel that's after the halfway
mark, you need to run left to locate a steel barrel on the lower
ledge. Quickly pick it up and use it to get rid of the green buzzer
to get into the second bonus level. Inside, you'll automatically
hit an invincibility barrel, which means you can stand on the hacksaw
without getting sliced. Collect 15 bananas on the hacksaw and claim
your prize at the top of the level.

It seems that someone has supplied some Kremlings with some heavy
duty artillery. And there's an army of them which will attempt to
blast your head off with all sorts of barrels in this next factory
stage...

====================
4-4: Blazing Bazukas
====================
The Bazukas, obviously named because they use bazookas to shoot
different types of barrels at you, are the main threat in this level.
Keep moving before you get your head blown off. Also, you'll get to
play as Squitter for a little while, too. But also beware that these
guys are also guarding the bonus levels.

Bonus Level 1: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: When you reach the TNT barrel, try and keep it until you
reach that Bakuka who's firing the TNT barrels at you. Let him have
it, then change into Squitter. Go back and shoot platform webs up the
nearby shaft to reach a hallway in which a bazuka is firing TNT barrels
at you. Use web shots to destroy the barrels before they hit you, and
then sneak into the bonus level without getting blown to bits. Inside,
use a combination of web platforms and web shots to get yourself past
the green buzzers and the acid vat (at least it looks like acid.) to
gain another bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: Get to the barrel that's next to the yellow acid vat, and
shoot upwards until you reach a bazuka who's firing normal barrels.
If you are controlling Dixie, just glide to the left to find the
bonus level. Inside, use the barrels to get across the room to find the
bonus coin on a ledge above the bazuka.

Ever wanted to go to the moon? Well, now's your chance to play
Neil Armstrong. The gravity in this next level is super low, meaning
you can jump high distances and fall slowly. Doesn't mean the stage
is going to be easy though...it's a sewer labyrinth of buzzers....
literally...

====================
4-5: Low-G Labyrinth
====================
This stage is unique. You can jump super high, and fall incredibly slow,
as if you were in outer space. You'll also meet barrel-carrying Squawks
in this stage, and he'll help you get to the bonus levels...

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (80 stars)
Time limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: The bonus level is right before the halfway mark, but it
is hard to reach with the Kongs. So, go right, get the halfway mark,
turn into purple Squawks, and fly back to the left and above the
three green buzzers to get into it easily. Inside, you need to collect
80 stars to get another bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 35 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "N", fly up and to the left.
You'll notice three bananas, a buzzer above and a faster buzzer
below you. Sneak past the buzzer below you (you might get hit),
and you'll find the light at the end of the tunnel...well, you'll
find the bonus level at least. ;) Inside, you'll automatically
change into green Squawks (the egg-spitting one). Your job here is to
eliminate all the green buzzers in 35 seconds. If you succeed, you get
a bonus coin.

After completing that level, go fight Kaos and claim the other ski,
then travel back to Funky to get the Turbo Ski. Travel up the waterfall
to the right of Mekanos to find the next area, K3. You should have found
41 bonus coins thus far. We're halfway through!

==========
AREA 5: K3
==========
This is a snowy mountainous area in which the stages are even tougher
than Mekanos stages, so get ready to do some serious climbing in
the next couple of stages.

=====================
5-1: Krevice Kreepers
=====================
Remember the Klasps you met back in Cotton-Top Cove? You've stumbled
upon their home turf, and they're not too happy. They'll be out in
full force trying to stop you as you make your way up this clifflike
stage. Remember to search high and low, and left and right for those
bonus areas...they're starting to get harder to find now.

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (30 stars)
Time limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: Shortly after you climb up some ropes, you should notice a
Klasp sitting off to your left waiting for you to get onto the rope.
Lead him to the right then jump over him and go all the way to the left
to find the bonus level. Inside, you have 25 seconds to get the 30
stars which are being guarded by a menacing Klasp. Avoid him while
collecting the stars. Get them all and receive another coin!

Bonus Level 2: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: After the halfway mark, you'll need to get past three Klasps.
Then you'll see a blast barrel pointing up, and a ledge off to your
right where you can collect the letter "N". Get the letter "N", and
then as Kiddy, team up and throw Dixie to the ledge above to your
right. Jump over the enemy there and into the bonus level. Inside, make
your way to the top while avoiding the Klasps to claim another bonus
coin.

This time, it's back to the toboggan, and you'll actually be riding on
snow! It's a perilous level, so buckle up and get ready for a snowy
ride in this upcoming snowy stage...

======================
5-2: Tearaway Toboggan
======================
The second ice level in the game has you riding on a toboggan (just like
the one in Demolition Drainpipe). Again, you'll need to keep an eye out
for the bonus level on your way to the finish. The first one can be
found before getting on the toboggan.

Bonus Level 1: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: At the very beginning of this level, aim the blast barrel
so that instead of shooting you to the blast barrel that shoots you
to the toboggan, have it shoot you southeast into the pit, and into
the bonus level. Inside, pick up whoever you don't have from the DK
barrel, and use the team throw to defeat the three beetles above for
another bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Collect the Stars! (50 stars)
Time limit: 10 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "G", you'll see an arrow pointing
to the right and a buzzer. Jump over the buzzer and into the bonus level
behind him. Inside, ride the toboggan to collect all 50 stars in one
go to snag a bonus coin.

It seems that this mountain isn't entirely snowed and frozen over.
The next stage is dry and has serene waterfalls flowing ever so
smoothly just like the ones in Cotton-Top Cove. And yes, you'll
come face to face with another type of barrel, but this time...well,
let's leave that up to you to find out, eh?...

=======================
5-3: Barrel Drop Bounce
=======================
It's back to the waterfalls for you, and this time, they'll once again
introduce a new type of barrel for you. You'll need to get used to
these and quick, as they are in both bonus levels.

Bonus Level 1: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 35 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "K", go left and find two
barrels floating down the waterfall. Use them to get to the ledge above
then stop and turn around. Use Dixie and jump and glide to the right
and land on another barrel then quickly jump into the bonus level.
Inside, you'll have to use precise jumping skills to leap from
barrel to barrel as they fall, collecting bananas as you go. You've got
35 seconds, so don't rush. If you screw up, you can always try again.

Bonus Level 2: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "N", use Dixie and glide to the
right (after jumping, of course) to find a floating barrel and the next
bonus level. Inside, again you'll have to leap from barrel to barrel to
reach the top ledge where the bonus coin awaits you.

What the heck is going on now? It seems that a snowed-in building is
the next stage, but someone is in here attempting to shoot any intruder
whether it be Kong or spider. There's lots of machinery around and
it looks like a Mekanos factory stage. That's because it IS...

====================
5-4: Krack-Shot Kroc
====================
Someone is operating this small factory atop K3, but no one knows who
it is, and this someone is shooting fireballs at any who try to get
through it. You'll have to take command of Squitter for the entire
stage, so hop to it....and don't get shot looking for the bonus levels!

Bonus Level 1: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 35 seconds
Strategy: Soon after entering this stage, you'll come across not
a lava vat, not an acid vat, but...a hot taffy vat? Yeah, it's a hot
taffy vat, or that's what it looks like. But anyway, cross that vat,
and look for a small shaft in the ceiling. Shoot web platforms to get
up there and you'll find the bonus level at the top of the shaft. :)
Inside, use the 35 seconds given to you to collect the 15 bananas.
There aren't any traps, so take your time and get them all for a bonus
coin.

Bonus Level 2: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 30 seconds
Strategy: Soon after crossing two hot taffy vats, you'll reach a shaft
and at the top lies a DK barrel, a hidden bunch of bananas and a red
buzzer flying around in circles. Keep going up to find the bonus level
making sure you don't get hit by the red buzzer and kroc anonymous
who's shooting at ya. Inside, well, you take control of the target that
has been firing fireballs at you for the entire stage thus far, and
you need to shoot down all of the baddies and buzzers to claim the
bonus coin. Shoot it to get it.

You thought that penguins lived in the polar ice caps, eh? Well, they
live in this next stage as well. This icy level has penguins, err...
Lemguins, as they're called, out the yizzang, so you'll need to stay
on your toes...

==================
5-5: Lemguin Lunge
==================
The Lemguins in this stage are annoying as they just keep on coming and
coming and coming. You can jump on them, but it's better to avoid them
especially in the bonus levels.

Bonus Level 1: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: This bonus level is at the very beginning of the stage,
as it's being guarded by a red buzzer. You can't miss it! To get inside,
have Kiddy throw Dixie above the barrel so that she doesn't get smacked
by the buzzer. Inside, get to the end of the level without being ran
over by the oncoming Lemguins. The prize is yet another bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Collect the Stars! (30 stars)
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: You can see this bonus level in plain sight after getting the
letter "G". The problem is getting into it. You'll need to avoid the
oncoming Lemguin traffic to get into it. Inside, collect the stars
while avoiding Lemguins and claim another bonus coin.

After that, your bonus coin count should be at 52 (this is if you have
not spent any tokens in Krematoa yet.). Defeat Bleak, then travel east
to the next area, Razor Ridge. Now you've really got your work cut out
for you.

===================
AREA 6: Razor Ridge
===================
The stages get even tougher here, and so do the bonus levels. You'll
need all the skill you can muster here, so get ready to take on Razor
Ridge.

===================
6-1: Buzzer Barrage
===================
Yeah, that's right. Buzzer Barrage. There's a lot of those guys in
this underground stage. Purple Squawks will help you out through the
entire stage, and even with him, it's going to be pretty tough.

Bonus Level 1: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 55 seconds
Strategy: Fly ALL the way to the right, past the Kopter and you should
find a pair of buzzers, one red and one green, and a barrel. Pick up
the barrel and drop it on the green one, then swoop down and enter the
bonus level. Inside, you have to use the one barrel to kill every buzzer
in the room, and it's a large room so look everywhere for buzzers. You
do have 55 seconds, which is quite a bit of time, so take your time.
Your reward is another bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Collect the Stars! (40 stars)
Time limit: 30 seconds
Strategy: As you bring Squawks to the No Squawks sign, you'll notice a
Kopter off to your right, flying up. You need to jump on his head
and repeatedly bounce upward until you get high enough to reach the
bonus level above. Inside, use the Kopter to snag 40 stars (be careful
not to hit his blades) and then snag another bonus coin.

Ever watched those Bugs Bunny cartoons in which he secretly takes some
matches, places them on Elmer Fudd's foot and lights them up? He goes,
"Yeeeeoowwwww!", right? Well, in this next stage, you're the one given
the hotfoot treatment...err, in this case, the hot rope treatment...
and there's no putting out this fire...

======================
6-2: Kong-Fused Cliffs
======================
This next stage has you climbing a burning rope up a dangerous, buzzer
and kopter filled cliffside. You'll know what it feels like to be given
the hotfoot treatment after losing a few lives in this stage, unless
you're good....;)

Bonus Level 1: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: There's two ways to get here. On the second rope, you'll
shortly see a banana on the side of the mountain, you can leap towards
it and keep jumping (to avoid falling off the autoscrolling stage) to
get to the bonus level, or you can risk gliding from above. Inside,
leap from the rope to the barrels to avoid the flame and the buzzers
and get the coin that awaits you at the top.

Bonus Level 2: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: After the halfway mark, you'll eventually get a part with
three buzzers. There's a lone banana directly after the third buzzer
to your right. If you're Dixie, and I hope you are, glide to the right
to find the bonus level. Inside, dodge the Kopters by going to either
side of the rope, while climbing up avoiding the flame at the same
time. Your prize awaits you at the top again.

If you're a creature of the darkness, like myself, then you'll enjoy
this next stage. It's the last underwater stage, only it's almost
pitch black and the only light sources come from the strange yellow
fish that are swimming around. Beware, as these light sources last
only temporarily...

==================
6-3: Floodlit Fish
==================
You'll be using Enguarde for the whole stage here, and it's not an easy
one, not because of the darkness, but because of the insane amount of
Lurchins swimming about the stage. The bonus areas are pretty easy to
find, but you'll have to tangle with some Lurchins to get to them.

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (90 stars)
Time limit: 30 seconds
Strategy: It's dark, so take it slow and easy through this level. You'll
come to a shaft in where three red Kocos are swimming back and forth
soon enough. Go to the third one, stab him and go right and down to
enter the bonus level located here. Inside, just collect the 90 stars
scattered about. It's dark inside, so you might not be able to see
them too well. Get them to earn yourself another bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Collect the stars! (40 stars)
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: After the halfway mark, soon enough you should come to a shaft
with four pairs of fast swimming Lurchin going up and down. The fourth
pair is found at a four-way junction. You'll notice them as they are
the fastest moving ones of the group. Kill them (you might get hit)
and enter the bonus room at the bottom. Inside, swim through the tunnel
and grab the 40 stars to earn another bonus coin.

You'll have to use every animal buddy you've met (except Parry) in this
next stage. And the Klasps here now carry bombs, so beware and get
ready to face the wrath of...

===================
6-4: Pot Hole Panic
===================
It's another underground level, not as long as the first one, and you'll
have to use all the animal buddies in here, too. Look for bonus levels
once you've acquired Ellie and Squitter.

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (20 stars)
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: In Ellie's section, once you drop down the shaft into the
water, swim to the left to locate the letter "N", then jump and grab it.
As you grab it, push X to jump off of Ellie and into the bonus level
above. Inside, you'll get another Ellie, use her to get the stars
and get the coin that appears.

Bonus Level 2: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 30 seconds
Strategy: At the end of Squitter's section, there is a No Squitter sign,
and a hidden Klasp dropping bombs down on you. Make platforms up so
that you get to the Klasp above you, and enter the bonus level that he
guards. Inside, collect 15 bananas while avoiding Klasp's bombs to
earn the bonus coin.

I bet you're tired of ropes, aren't you? Well, too bad, because you'll
be on the ropes for the next stage, and you'll have to contend with
about a hundred or so buzzers at the same time....

=================
6-5: Ropey Rumpus
=================
This mountainous stage has you climbing ropes like you did in Kreeping
Klasps, only this time, public enemy #1 is the buzzer. Your job: Stay
away from them...especially Parry. If Parry gets smacked, you won't
get to enter the second bonus level unless you die and try again.

Bonus Level 1: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: After climbing up the shaft with a few buzzers flittering
about, you should notice a TNT barrel at the top. Use Kiddy to grab it,
hold on to it, and drop down the right part of the shaft. If you did
this right, a hole should blow open at the bottom, allowing you access
to the bonus level inside. Inside, simply avoid all the buzzers (easier
said than done, by the way) to get yet another bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 40 seconds
Strategy: Parry is the key to getting into the second bonus level.
Make sure you keep him alive until you reach the No Parry sign, once
there, touch it and you can enter the bonus level. Inside, you must
collect 15 bananas while avoiding two green buzzers. Go figure. It's
not easy, so if you screw up, you can always try again, ok?

Now, you should have hmm....63 bonus coins in stock. The final area
awaits you now. Defeat Barbos to get a bonus coin, then watch as a
passage to the next area opens up for you. If you thought Razor Ridge
was hard, you haven't seen anything yet...

=================
AREA 7: Kaos Kore
=================
You'll finally get to see who is the mastermind behind all this (as if
you didn't already know) in the Kaos Kore. There are some insanely
tough levels ahead of you. Use these for practice for Krematoa.

========================
7-1: Konveyor Rope Klash
========================
There's good news and bad news. Good news is that you're almost done!
Bad news is....well, you're back on the ropes in this fetid jungle
stage, and what's worse is that the ropes are moving like conveyor
belts. And of course, they're being guarded by, what else, buzzers.
Treat this stage like Ropey Rumpus and add some spice to it.

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (30 stars)
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: Get to a rope with three buzzers on it and a trail of bananas
below. Drop down and walk left to find the bonus level. Inside, use the
rope to collect all 30 stars (a few may be hidden, so search carefully)
to get another bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 30 seconds
Strategy: Shortly after the halfway mark, you'll come to a rope with a
pair of buzzers flying around in a circle. Right before that, look up
toward the top of the screen. There's a lone banana up there and the
bonus level. Simply jump from the rope and into the partially hidden
bonus level. Inside, you need to get another 15 bananas, this time
use the ropes to get them all. Your prize is a bonus coin.

Now if you think that there are no such thing as ghosts, well, you're
probably right. But this next stage introduces a new type of barrel:
the ghost barrel. These spooky barrels fade in and out like ghosts,
and you don't want to be hanging around this level for long...

===================
7-2: Creepy Caverns
===================
Ack! Ghosts! Err, ghost barrels! These barrels appear and disappear at
will, and will shoot you in different directions depending on which way
they are pointing when you jump into them. These barrels are also found
in both bonus levels, so keep your eyes peeled for them.

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (50 stars)
Time limit: 40 seconds
Strategy: Shortly after getting the letter "O", you'll come to a ghost
barrel that shoots you up a shaft, into a blast barrel, and you'll be
shot to the right. There is a passage going left, though, and that's
where the bonus level is. Simply do a roll jump under the blast barrel
to get over there, and use the team throw to get into the bonus level.
Inside, use the ghost barrel to collect the stars. Try and wait until
it points up, then jump into it to get the most stars at a time. You
get another bonus coin when you're done.

Bonus Level 2: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 30 seconds
Strategy: Shortly after getting the halfway mark, you should notice a
buzzer at the top of the screen guarding a blast barrel. Use a nearby
barrel to dispose of it, then use the team throw to locate Squitter.
Ride Squitter until you see a lone banana near the top of your screen.
Shoot web platforms carefully up the shaft, because the ghost barrels
that appear there will shoot you back to the ground if you touch one.
Make it to the top and the bonus level is directly to your left. Inside,
you'll need to make web platforms to get across the level. But, do not
simply shoot them toward the center. Ghost barrels haunt the middle of
the passage, so instead, shoot them toward the pit (but not too low) and
then cross under the ghost barrels. If you touch a ghost barrel, they'll
send you into a red buzzer and you'll have to start over. Make it across
and claim another bonus coin.

It looks like someone forecasted a thunderstorm for tonight's weather.
This next stage will have you constantly moving to avoid thunderbolts
that appear randomly, and there's little shelter. Oh, just remember
that water and lightning don't mix, either...

=======================
7-3: Lightning Look-Out
=======================
A storm's a-brewing in this forest stage, and Dixie and Kiddy must
brave through it to get past it. Be careful not to go swimming while
lightning strikes, because if you do....well, you'll get a little jolt.
Both bonus areas are very easy to find, so be on the lookout.

Bonus Level 1: Bash the baddies!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "O", drop down into the water
below (make sure you don't get shocked by the thunderbolts) to find the
bonus level. Inside, bounce on top of all the beetles and find the bonus
coin on the other side. Simple level.

Bonus Level 2: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 30 seconds
Strategy: Shortly after collecting the letter "N", you'll come across
a span of water with three barrels in it. The bonus level is in plain
sight; just perform a team throw and carefully throw your partner
into the bonus level. Inside, you need to grab 15 more of those darned
green bananas, but look out for the thunderbolts! If you succeed, you
will earn yourself a bonus coin.

Apparantly, this next stage is the home base of all those Koin guys.
There's a slew of them, and you'll need to be extra careful when jumping
around in this stage...

======================
7-4: Koindozer Klamber
======================
The Koins in this stage make it tough for you to get through. You might
want to use Dixie for this stage so that you can glide safely on top of
each Koin. The bonus levels are easy to find, just like in the previous
stage, but they can be tricky, so stay alert.

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (30 stars)
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: You should hear barrels being shot at you soon enough. Jump
on each barrel to get across the pit (and to find out who is shooting
them - go figure, it's a Bazuka.). Jump onto the rope above, and then
jump to the left to find a partially hidden bonus level up in the
trees. Inside, switch to Dixie and carefully land on the Koins and
get those stars above them. Find them all and you've earned yourself
another bonus coin!

Bonus Level 2: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 40 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "N", you'll see the second bonus
level at the top of the screen. If you're playing as Kiddy, you can just
use a team throw and throw Dixie into the barrel. Simple as pie. Inside,
collect 15 Bananas while avoiding falling into the pits. Land on the
Koins carefully and take your prize.

Did I say there were three underwater stages in this game? Well, this
next level can be classified as an underwater stage, too...only you're
going to be swimming through a water-filled pipeline. Oh, and if you've
ever played any RPG's like Final Fantasy, you'll know the true meaning
of the word "confused", because that is what your controller is going
to be like...

=======================
7-5: Poisonous Pipeline
=======================
The controls will be reversed through this underwater sewer stage, and
that makes it tough to complete. Plus, there's numerous baddies all
around, so you might want to have a couple of lives in stock for this
stage. The bonus levels are easy to find, if you know where to look.

Bonus Level 1: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: At the far left end of the pipeline going horizontally, you
should notice two Lurchins (one at the top, one at the bottom), and
a fast Koco swimming back and forth between them. Carefully swim past
the Koco and you'll find the bonus level behind him. Inside, you'll
automatically change into Enguarde (which is good, because you can
keep him for a short time in the main stage). You need to stab all the
Kocos in the level to gain the bonus coin, which will appear at the top.
Keep in mind that the controls are reversed.

Bonus Level 2: Collect the Stars! (30 stars)
Time limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "N", keep on moving until you see
two Lurchins and two Kocos together. Move left past them, until you see
three Lurchins guarding the passageway. Carefully get past them and then
you'll see two Lurchins moving up and down in a small shaft. Take
extreme care getting past them (especially if you're down to one Kong)
and swim into a well hidden bonus level below them. Inside, the stars
are placed in a circular fashion - just follow a path of stars and
collect them all and the bonus coin will appear where you started.

Defeating K. Rool at Kastle Kaos will net you another bonus coin, which
will bring the grand total up to 74. After completing the game, reset
and locate Krematoa, the Lost World, and the final area of the game.
You can make Krematoa appear as soon as you clear Kremwood Forest.
You know those four rocks that are east of Mekanos Island? Travel
in a circle around them a few times and Krematoa (which looks like a
volcano) will appear before you. Are you ready for the final area?

================================
AREA 8: Krematoa: The Lost World
================================
This is DKC3's Lost World. To gain access to each stage here, you need
to visit Boomer's Bomb Shelter and pay him 15 bonus coins to unlock one
stage. If you followed this guide all the way through so far, you should
have 74 bonus coins on you, which will let you visit the first four
stages of Krematoa. The final stage, will cost you 25 bonus coins, and
the other 11 bonus coins are hidden in the bonus levels of Krematoa.
And these stages are far from easy, so I hope you're ready for them.

====================
8-1: Stampede Sprint
====================
The first stage (as if you can tell by the music when you enter) is a
speedy stage. As Ellie and Parry, you must guide them through the
jungle. Kuff and Klout, the Tyrant Twins and other baddies will try to
stop Ellie on the ground, while the buzzers will attempt to stop Parry
in the air. You need to make it through the stage with BOTH Ellie and
Parry in order to gain access to the third bonus level. The first two
are located in the beginning of the stage.

Bonus Level 1: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 40 seconds
Strategy: At the beginning of the stage, there is a bonus level hidden
on the far left of the trees at the top. Simply perform a team throw
(with Kiddy) and toss Dixie into the barrel. Inside, break open
Squitter's crate and get on his back. Use web platforms to snag the 15
bananas and avoid falling in the pit. Your reward is a bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 45 seconds
Strategy: At the beginning of the stage, jump up on the higher ledge and
perform a team throw with Kiddy. Toss Dixie in the bonus level located
in the trees here. It's next to the first level, so you can't miss it.
Inside, you might still have Squitter, but it's easier if you complete
this one with Squawks. Ditch Squitter, and use Squawks to grab 15
bananas in 45 seconds while avoiding the two red buzzers for another
bonus coin.

Bonus Level 3: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 40 seconds
Strategy: First of all, you need to escort Parry to the No Parry sign,
which is at the end of the stage. If he gets hit on the way, you'll
be unable to get into this level, and you'll have to start the stage
over again. Make it to the sign and he'll change into the bonus level.
Inside, you'll find another Parry crate. Break it open and get 15
bananas. Some appear above the red buzzer out of Ellie's reach, so
Parry will have to get it. Be very careful when getting past the red
buzzer. Jump when you approach it, because if Parry gets smacked by
the buzzer, the level is over, and you'll have to retry the stage
again! If you manage to complete this task, your reward is a hard-earned
bonus coin.

This next stage will have you zigzagging from side to side of this
mountain, and the only way up are steel barrels. Bazuka has incredible
range if he can shoot barrels all the way up this stage...

=======================
8-2: Criss Kross Cliffs
=======================
You need to use the steel barrels to get through this rather tough
stage. Change the barrel switches to TNT to dispose of any red buzzers
along the way, then change back to steel barrels to continue on your
way. You'll need to contend with barrels in the bonus levels as well.

Bonus Level 1: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 30 seconds
Strategy: This bonus level is located near the beginning of the stage.
What you need to do is bounce on the steel barrels and continue to do
so until you spot two red buzzers on the right side. Carefully get over
them and enter the bonus level. Inside, an angry Bazuka is firing TNT
barrels straight up, and you need to carefully jump over them to get
the bananas without being blown to bits. Achieve this task and you'll
earn yet another hard earned bonus coin.

Bonus Level 2: Bash the Baddies!
Time limit: 25 seconds
Strategy: Shortly after collecting the letter "G", use the barrels to
bounce up and to the left. You'll notice a barrel switch and a DK barrel
at the top of the shaft. Change it to TNT, and drop back down. Let one
destroy the red buzzer, and then go back up the shaft. Change it back
to steel barrels, then continue your bouncing. Stop at the next ledge
and pick up a DK coin, then go up again. Stop at the next ledge and go
right. Now as Kiddy, use the team throw and throw Dixie into the sky.
If you throw her in the right spot, she'll land inside a bonus level.
Inside, use the steel barrels to bounce up and kill all the beetles in
the stage in 25 seconds. Kill them all to receive the bonus coin.

You know those big guys that tried to hit you in Stampede Sprint? Well,
this next underground stage is home to Kuff and Klout, otherwise known
as the Tyrant Twins. You'll have to rumble with them in order to get
past this short, but difficult stage...

=======================
8-3: Tyrant Twin Tussle
=======================
Kuff and Klout are dominant in this underground stage, and in the bonus
levels. You might want to locate Squitter early on, to help you through
the first half of the stage and in the first bonus level.

Bonus Level 1: Collect the Stars! (40 stars)
Time limit: 20 seconds
Strategy: Find Squitter in a small room above near the beginning of the
stage, then continue on, shooting Kuff and Klout whenever you see them.
Soon enough, you'll come across a No Squitter sign, and the bonus level
which is directly above you. Make web platforms and get in there.
Inside, if you have Squitter, shoot Kuff and Klout to make this level
that much easier, and then simply collect all the stars to get the
bonus coin. If you have the Kongs, you'll need to do some gliding and
serious jumping to get those stars, and it's not easy with Kuff and
Klout in the way.

Bonus Level 2: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 35 seconds
Strategy: After the halfway mark, but BEFORE collecting the letter "N",
look up and you'll see a shaft in the ceiling. As Kiddy, use the team
throw to throw Dixie into the hidden blast barrel located there. Shoot
up into the room, but watch out for Kuff and Klout. The bonus level is
located to the far right, guarded by two red buzzers. How to get into
it without getting stung, you ask? Well, one way is to use the TNT
barrel found at the far left of this room to dispose of Kuff and Klout.
If you do it this way, you need to use the team throw to throw Dixie
into the bonus level without having her get hit by the buzzers. The
other way is to use the TNT barrel to dispose of the buzzers, but then
you might hit Kuff and Klout on the way over there. Either way is pretty
difficult, but it's your choice on how you're going to get yourself in
that bonus level. Inside, you'll have to face Kuff and Klout AGAIN.
I prefer to use Dixie in this bonus level as she can hover above
the two pairs of Kuff and Klout that appear at the same exact time in
the middle. Carefully avoid those tyrant twins, get to the other side,
and claim your bonus coin. You've earned it.

Bonus Level 3: Get 15 Bananas!
Time limit: 50 seconds
Strategy: At the very end of the stage, right next to goal pulley, is
a lone banana. Touch it and you'll be teleported into the third bonus
level. Inside, you need to get 15 bananas, but this time you'll also
have to avoid....yes, Kuff and Klout again. Move from side to side
following them to ensure that they won't land on you, and collect the
bananas as you go. You've got plenty of time, so don't rush this.
Your reward is another bonus coin.

Bombs away! Or, should I say, swoopies away! This next stage has loads
of these guys, and they are EVERYWHERE!	You'll need all the skill you
can muster to get past this difficult treetop level. And trust me, it
isn't easy...

=================
8-4: Swoopy Salvo
=================
The bonus levels here can be a pain to find and get to, and even harder
to complete (with the exception ot the third one). The stage itself is
a true pain in the neck, with Swoopies coming from almost all sorts
of places, so keep your eyes peeled. You might end up losing a few
lives in this stage, too.

Bonus Level 1: Find the Coin!
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: After collecting the letter "K", go right and then down to
find the first bonus level. Inside, you will temporarily lose Squawks,
and you'll need to complete this bonus level with the Kongs. Use the
Swoopies to get to the top and claim your bonus coin!

Bonus Level 2:
Time limit:
Strategy: This is the hardest level to get to in the stage. After
exiting from the first bonus level, you'll change back into Squawks.
Keep going until you get to a green buzzer that's guarding the passage
to the right, and a shaft leading upwards. Go up and you'll see
countless Swoopies approaching from your left. You need to get into
the passage where they are coming from. Shoot the Swoopies and slowly
advance to the left then quickly fly up before the next Swoopy smacks
you. You should now see two red buzzers flying in a circle very fast,
four bananas on the left side, and a lone banana in the middle of the
buzzers. Time it right - quickly fly between the buzzers and touch the
lone banana and you'll be teleported into the hidden bonus level.
Inside, you have to get 15 more bananas in 45 seconds. But, watch out
for the Swoopies in the process. They move in a sort of a "X" fashion,
so be very careful not to get hit. Remember, that you CAN shoot them
down if you need to.

Bonus Level 3: Collect the Stars! (20 stars)
Time limit: 15 seconds
Strategy: Shortly after getting the halfway mark, you'll notice some
Swoopies flying to the right into a passageway coming from the
upper left. You need to bounce from swoopy to swoopy to get up into the
bonus level that is positioned above. Inside, all you have to do is
collect the stars to make the coin appear. Collect this coin and that
should be your 25th bonus coin, which is just enough to open the
final stage of Krematoa.

By this time, you should have found all 85 bonus coins in the game.
The final stage, called Rocket Rush, has no bonus levels, so all
you have to do is complete it. That's it for the bonus level guide!
Now on to the Banana Bird Guide...

====================
E. Banana Bird Guide
====================
There are several ways to collect the banana birds. One way is to find
secret caverns on the world map, and in each area (except Krematoa)
and play a game similar to "Simon Says". In this game, you are given
a random sequence of buttons to push, and when it's done, you must copy
it by pushing the buttons in the exact same order. Failure to do so,
will throw you out of the cavern, forcing you to try again. The second
way to get banana birds is to converse and trade items with Brothers
Bear. Some hold Banana Birds, so make sure you talk to all of them.
Here is the guide. Below, are all the places where you can obtain a
banana bird in order from beginning to end.

1. Bounty Beach
Strategy: You can get here as soon as you get the motorboat from Funky's
Rentals. Bounty Beach is located om a small beach directly east from
Funky's place. Press B to open up the cave and play the simon says
game to earn the first banana bird.

2. Smuggler's Cove
Strategy: This one is found in the Lake Orangatanga area. After
completing Doorstop Dash, you can swim under the top bridge (where Tidal
Trouble is located) and walk on the beach there. Press B to open up the
cave. Play another game of Simon Says to earn another banana bird.

3. Arich's Hoard
Strategy: This one is located in the Kremwood Forest area. Complete
Riverside Race with a time less than 1:15, and then visit Brash's Cabin
after completing Springin' Spiders. He'll blow his top and shake the
area so that you can get into the cave, but you can't actually get into
it until you complete Bobbing Barrel Brawl. Open the cave with the B
button, and then play another game of Simon Says to get the banana
bird.

4. Kong Cave
Strategy: This one is located on the world map northwest of Bazaar's
General Store. You need the Hover Craft to get here, so sail on over
past Wrinkly's Save Cave and past the rocks next to the small waterfall.
Open up the cave with the B button and play another game of Simon Says
to get another banana bird.

5. Bounty Bay
Strategy: This one is located in the Cotton-Top Cove area and can be
found before entering the first stage. Travel past Blue's Beach Hut and
swim directly north. Press B at the wall to open up the cave and then
play Simon Says to get the banana bird.

6. Undercover Cove
Strategy: This one can be found west of Cotton-Top Cove at the top of
the waterfall. You need the Turbo Ski to get up the falls, so after
clearing Mekanos, travel over here and land on the beach, open up
the secret cave with the B button, and play yet another game of Simon
Says. If you win, you get the banana bird.

7. Glacial Grotto
Strategy: You can take a guess where this one is located by the name.
Yeah, it's located in the K3 area. To find it, you need to complete
Lemguin Lunge first, then press up to locate Blizzard's Basecamp. Push
left to open up the cave. Play a game of Simon Says to win another
banana bird.

8. Sky-High Secret
Strategy: You need to converse with three of the brothers bear to get
into this cave. You know that floating platform in the Mekanos area?
That's where it is, but you have to get the cannonball to shoot up
there. First, visit Blizzard's Basecamp to get the birthday present,
then travel to Cotton-Top Cove and visit Blue's Beach Hut. Give the
present to him. Turns out that he doesn't want it, so he gives it to you
instead. Take the cannonball over to Bazooka in Mekanos, and give it
to him. Now the cannon will shoot you over to Sky-High Secret. Go in
and play Simon Says again; win and you'll get another banana bird.

9. Clifftop Cache
Strategy: Again, you'll need to converse with brothers bear to gain
entry into this cave. If you have 60 silver bear coins, travel to
Bazaar's General Store and purchase the seashell (for use later on)
and the mirror. Now take the mirror over to Barter's Swap Shop
which is located next to K3, he'll have the monkey wrench. Trade the
mirror for the monkey wrench, then travel to Razor Ridge. Visit Benny's
Chairlifts to get to the other side of the area; at Kong-Fused Cliffs,
go right and visit Bjorn's Chairlifts. His are broken, but you have the
monkey wrench to fix them. Ride the chairlift over to the cave. Win
another game of Simon Says to earn the banana bird.

10. Sewer Stockpile
Strategy: In the Kaos Kore area, after Creepy Caverns, jump into the
water and swim around the rocks in a figure eight-like fashion to open
up the grate nearby. Enter and play, what else, Simon Says to earn yet
another banana bird.

11. Hill-Top Hoard
Strategy: You need to find all 41 DK coins to get the Gyrocopter from
Funky's Rentals to locate these next few caves. Hill-Top Hoard is
located above the Razor Ridge area, so once up there, push B and the
cave will open up. Play Simon Says (now these are starting to get
tougher) and catch yourself another banana bird.

12. Belcha's Burrow
Strategy: You need the Gyrocopter to find this one, too. On the world
map, fly south of Wrinkly's Save Cave and go left slightly. Now press B.
If you're in the right spot, a cave will open up to reveal Belcha's
Burrow. Play Simon Says yet again, and win to add another banana bird
to your collection.

13. K's Kache
Strategy: Yeah, you guessed it, you need the Gyrocopter to find this
one, too. This one can be found in a lake north of Cotton-Top Cove on
a small island next to Banana Bird Heaven. Open up the cave with the B
button, and play a hard game of Simon Says. Win and catch yourself a
banana bird.

14. Barnacle's Island
Strategy: This is a brother bear who lives in Lake Orangatanga. Purchase
the seashell from Bazaar's General Store for some silver bear coins,
then take the seashell to Barnacle's Island. You'll exchange the shell
for his banana bird, which is added to your collection.

15. Bramble's Bungalow
Strategy: Sometime after clearing the Mekanos area, you should notice
a red flower that's growing along a path next to Bramble's Bungalow.
Take it to him and he'll gladly exchange the Banana Bird for your
flower.

Now that you have all the banana birds, take the Gyrocopter up to the
banana bird heaven located at the top left portion of the world map
to see an extra scene. ;)

That's all, folks! If you've followed this guide all the way through,
you should have found all 85 bonus coins, and the 15 banana birds, not
to mention the 41 DK coins, because you need all of them to get all 15
banana birds! :)
