Illusion of Gaia
Review by devilscontract
"Soul Blazer 2"
Illusion of Gaia is definitely one of Enix's great games! A great game with great attributes. If you liked Soul Blazer, then you will love this game!
STORY - 9/10
Great story line. It's a little similar to the story line in Chrono Trigger. You find a run-away princess, you go on an adventure with her and your friends, you kill the evil monster that will destroy all eternity, at the end of the game. Very fun and exciting story indeed!
SOUND/MUSIC - 10/10
Brilliant! Just Brilliant! A different music track for every mood, place, and time. The music wasn't just quickly made, because it fits the game perfectly. The SFX are just as good as the music is. There is a SFX for just about everything, which is good considering this is an action-packed game.
GRAPHICS - 10/10
The graphics are very good, considering that this is an SNES game. This game has a lot of bright colors, and some very good characters sprites! The graphics are very well done.
CONTROL - 10/10
It can't get much easier than this, unless you are playing Tetris :). Simply put.
GAMEPLAY - 10/10
Very fun from the start to the finish! A game with tons of action, and plenty of adventuring to do. It is a little bit boring at some points, but most games are. Lots of secrets to find. You will definitely lose a few weekends playing this game!
DIFFICULTY - 7/10 (1=very easy 10=very hard)
Very challenging, with mind-puzzling levels that you have to figure out. It's also a very long game, so it will definitely take some time to beat.
REPLAY VALUE - 5/10
Well, I'm not saying that I haven't beaten this game a few times, but it's a very challenging game a very long one too, so it'll get boring after you beat it a few times. Then again, that's normal.
OVERALL - 9/10
Enix spent a lot of time making this masterpiece! A fun, exciting, adventurous, action-packed game, that you will love (until you beat it a few times). It seems like it's a sequel to Soul Blazer, for the simple fact that there is a very lot in common between these two games. This game tells you how good Enix is at making games. I give it two thumbs up!
Thank you, Enix, for such a great game!
