    ===Section 1=== Intro
    _______________________________________________________________________

    Super Mario RPG is in the format of Hit Points (HP) and Magic Points only
    in this game they are called Flower Points (FP). Throughout the game you will
    recruit four other characters who you can switch to battle. You must always
    have Mario in your party though. What I love about this game is that there
    are so many different things to do. If you like the type of games that throw
    challenges at you than this is the ultimate game for you. Throughout the game
    you will recruit four other characters who you can switch to battle. You must
    always have Mario in your party though. SMRPG is, in my mind, the best game
    ever made so enjoy my FAQ.
    _______________________________________________________________________

    ===Section 2=== Main Characters
    _______________________________________________________________________

    Mario- The main character in the game who at first is determined to find and
    rescue the princess only during the game does he realize he has a much more
    difficult and important task to deal with.

    Princess Toadstool- The Princess of Mushroom Kingdom who disappears after
    a giant sword implanted itself into Bowser's Keep.

    Bowser- Some kind of a turtle who has his castle inhabited by a giant sword
    and Smithy's Factory thus leaving him homeless and wandering.

    Mallow- Mario meets Mallow in the Mushroom Kingdom and agrees to get his
    grandpa's coin back that the dinosaur crook Croco stole from him. He soon
    agrees to fight on Mario's side for the rest of the journey.

    Geno- A life form from Star Road who takes the body of a doll to help get
    the seven stars back to Star Road. Mario saves him in the Forest Maze and
    soon after Geno agrees to go with them to retrieve all of the stars.

    Frogfucius- Mallow's grandpa who resides at Tadpole Pond. He usually carries
    very useful information for Mario and the rest of the group.

    Smithy- The main villain who is determined to collect all seven stars and
    destroy the Star Road to make a world filled with weapons.
    _______________________________________________________________________

    ===Section 3=== Special/Magical attacks
    _______________________________________________________________________

    -**Note by "type of attack" I mean what you do with the controls to make that
    attack most affective.

    -**Also note that a single * before the name of the attack means that it is
    the best special attack for that character (in my opinion).

    ===Section 4=== Complete List of Weapons
    _______________________________________________________________________

    Weapons can be found anywhere in the game. They are either bought in stores
    or found in battle areas usually in treasure chests. Whenever you sell
    something, it will be half the price that you would buy it for.

    -**Note a single * will be in front of the name if the weapon is
    non-purchasable, or you can only buy it once, so if you sell it, you'll never
    get it again.

    -**Also note that a double // in front of the name means it is the best weapon
    for that character (in my opinion).

    SOLD FOR- 11 coins
    EXTRA INFO- These pants are great to use on everyone through most of the game.
    I used them all the way until I got the fire armor. I don't suggest you use
    them throughout the game because when you get to magical powerhouses like
    Zombone, Ding-A-Ling, Count Down, Culex, etc., you will definitely need that
    magical defense. These pants have practically no magical defense.

    *****************

    NAME- Lazy Shell
    OBTAINED/PURCHASED- After you beat the Smilax in Bean Valley Shy Away will
    drop a "legendary" seed. Soon after you defeat Queen Valentina and Dodo go
    to the far right of the town in Nimbus Land and you can walk on thin air!
    Go out and talk to the Shy Away and he will give you the "legendary" fertilizer
    this time. Now go to Rose Town and in the very back of the town there is a
    passage. Go through the passage and into the house where a very weird dude
    lives. Give him the seed and fertilizer and a bean stalk will grow out of
    his pot. Climb the bean stalk to the cloud and get the two treasure chests.
    They will be the Lazy Shell weapon and the Lazy Shell armor.

    SOLD FOR- 111 coins (but why would you sell it?)
    EXTRA INFO- If you're a defensive minded player than this is the armor for
    you. It's unbelievably great against very strong magical enemies. Every
    single regular attack, or magical attack used on you is either 1,2,3, or 4
    HP damage (except moves like silver bullet which are an automatic death if
    you don't block them).

    SOLD FOR- 350 coins
    EXTRA INFO- This is no doubt THE hardest thing in the game to achieve. It
    took me a VERY long time to get but it is definitely worth it. I will go much
    more in depth on the subject in section 11.

    accessory once.

    -**Also note that when it says estimated next to the stats it is my estimation.
    For example I used the Lazy Shell with Mario with the Quartz Charm on and
    did somewhere around 600 HP damage. Then I did it without the Quartz Charm
    on and did around 300 HP damage.

    Straw Head 131 Sunken Ship "Gotta press this shirt!"
    Stumpet 500 Barrel Volcano "Express yourself!"
    *Tentacles (Left) 200 Sunken Ship "You wouldn't...EAT me?!"
    *Tentacles (Right) 260 Sunken Ship "Keep me in cool!"
    Terra Cotta 180 Bowser's Keep "Oh, Mr. Bowser**"

    The Big Boo 43 Kero Sewers "Stop staring at me!"
    Toadstool 2 120 Belome Temple "It's tough to be pretty!"
    *Torte 100 Marrymore "Cake! Vatch zee CAKE!"
    Tub-O-Troop             500 Bowser's Keep            "My shell's hot!"
    *Water Crystal 1600 Monstro Town "Get me back underground!"
    Wiggler 120 Forest Maze "I'm just a helpless
                                                               wiggler..."
    *Wind Crystal 800 Monstro Town "Whhhhhooooo..."
    *Valentina 2000 Nimbus Land "I tell ya, he's NOTHING!"
    Vomer 0 Barrel Volcano "Nobody, NOBODY likes me."
    **Yaridovich 1500 Seaside Town "My promotion's at stake."
    **Yaridovich (Mirage) 500 Seaside Town "I'm not the real McCoy!"
    Zeostar 90 Sea "Oh, I can't stand him!"
    **Zombone 1800 Barrel Volcano "Hey! We're not done yet!"

    ===Section 10=== Boss Walkthrough
    _______________________________________________________________________

    **Normal Attacks = Attack with A button

    =======================================================================

    Hammer Bros. - 54 HP Mushroom Way "I love my hammer!"
    TACTICS - Attack one of them with about 2 Jump Attacks and he should
              die, then the other one will use a defense modifier. Just
              keep hitting him with Unarmed attack and Jump attack and
              soon, he will die. This is a very easy battle. You'll get a
              Hammer, and a Flower Tab for winning the battle.

    =======================================================================

    Croco (First fight) - 320 HP Bandit's Way "Gosh, I'm good!"
    TACTICS - Keep using Fire Orb with Mario (let's hope you have it). Only
              use Mallow to heal everyone with HP Rain. Soon he will use a
              Mushroom to heal himself. Keep whaling away at him with Fire
              Orb. If you run out of FP, just use Mario's Hammer attack and
              have Mallow Defend. You'll get Mallow's grandfather's coin
              back for the victory.

    =======================================================================

    Mack - 480 HP Mushroom Kingdom "Boing, boing, boing."
    Shyster - 30 HP Mushroom Kingdom "Boing, boing, boing."
    Shyster - 30 HP Mushroom Kingdom "Boing, boing, boing."
    Shyster - 30 HP Mushroom Kingdom "Boing, boing, boing."
    Shyster - 30 HP Mushroom Kingdom "Boing, boing, boing."
    TACTICS - What level Mallow is on really makes a difference in this
              battle. If he is on a somewhat low level and you use
              Thunderbolt, you will do about 27-28 HP Damage to all
              enemies. Considering Mack's minions only have 30 HP, you may
              want to consider gaining an extra level. If you are on a high
              level for the area, keep using Thunderbolt whenever Mack
              summon's his Shyster's to kill them all. Use Jump Attack and
              Hammer with Mario on Mack. Only use HP Rain and Thunderbolt
              with Mallow. You'll get your first star piece for victory!

    =======================================================================

    Belome (First fight) - 500 HP Kero Sewers "I just...wanna sleep."
    TACTICS - Make sure you are on a pretty high level, at least 5. Let him
              eat Mallow, just keep hitting him with your Hammer, Jump, and
              Super Jump. You should have Honey Syrup, because if he turns
              you into a scarecrow and you have no FP or Honey Syrup,
              you're gonna be forced to use Defend. You get to leave the
              Sewers if you win the battle.

    =======================================================================

    Bowyer - 720 HP Forest Maze "What's with these folks?"
    TACTICS - This can be a pretty tough battle. You should use Normal
              Attacks on him for most of the battle. When he cancels out
              the A button, use Geno Beam, Super Jump, and HP Rain for
              magical moves. HP Rain can be very helpful if Bowyer cancels
              out the X button.

    =======================================================================

    Croco (Second fight) - 750 HP Coal Mines "Ooh! I'm good!"
    TACTICS - I usually just keep whaling away at him with Normal Attacks
              and Super Jump. Make sure you always have high HP and FP.
              When he steals your items, get ready to use HP Rain with
              Mallow.

    =======================================================================

    Punchinello - 1200 HP Coal Mines "Yeeha! I see we're already famous!"
    Bob-Omb - 90 HP Coal Mines "Ouch. HEY! Watch it!"
    Mezzo Bomb - 150 HP Coal Mines "Look out!"
    Microbomb - 30 HP Coal Mines "Small is as small does."
    TACTICS - Always aim your attacks on Punchinello, never at any bombs.
              You should just take the hits from the bombs. Super Jump, and
              Geno Beam are good here, Geno Boost is great if you have it.
              Don't use too much FP though. You should try to focus most of
              your attacks on Punchinello with Normal Attacks. You should
              keep your HP high for your characters for as long as
              possible. HP Rain is very useful in this battle again.

    =======================================================================

    ***Now that your this far in the game, your party should look like this: Mario
    Geno  Bowser

    =======================================================================

    Booster - 800 HP Booster Tower "This is like realizing you're outside
                                           without your clothes on!"
    Snifit - 200 HP Booster Tower "Minimum wage for THIS?!"
    Snifit - 200 HP Booster Tower "Minimum wage for THIS?!"
    Snifit - 200 HP Booster Tower "Minimum wage for THIS?!"
    TACTICS - You only fight him if you lose the curtain game. It is very
              hard to lose the curtain game. Aim Super Jump and all Normal
              Attacks at Booster and ignore the Snifits. An easy fight.

    =======================================================================

    Grate Guy - 900 HP Booster Tower "Peace is just a dream."
    Knife Guy - 700 HP Booster Tower "Happiness is hip!"
    TACTICS - Stick to completely Normal Attacks for the entire battle and
              take out Knife Guy first. If you have Chomp with Bowser and
              Masher with Mario this should be an easy fight. Try wearing
              the Work Pants for the battle that you can buy in Moleville.

    =======================================================================

    Bundt - 900 HP Marrymore "Congratulations."
    Raspberry - 600 HP Marrymore "Congratulations!"
    Torte - 100 HP Marrymore "Cake! Vatch zee CAKE!"
    TACTICS - After you hit the Apprentice and Torte with Normal Attacks
              for a while they'll notice the cake is moving and run away.
              You may want to put some Fearless Pins on for this battle
              because they use Sand Storm like there's no tomorrow. Aim for
              Bundt (the top one) with every Normal Attack you have, no
              specials. Bundt's candles do regenerate back if you don't
              attack him enough. Once his candles blow out, he'll die, so
              aim all your Normal Attacks on Raspberry (the bottom one). He
              has barely any HP so it won't be too hard for you to defeat
              him.

    =======================================================================

    King Calamari - 800 HP Sunken Ship "The ship's MINE! SCRAM!"
    Tentacles (Right) - 260 HP Sunken Ship "Keep me in cool!"
    Tentacles (Left) - 200 HP Sunken Ship "You wouldn't...EAT me?!"
    TACTICS - After you type in the Pearls password, you'll fight three
              tentacles at a time. They'll take you away and throw like in
              the roof or something. When you come back down you will be
              scared, so a good idea is to wear Fearless Pins. The
              Tentacles are easy, just use Normal Attacks on them with
              Hurly Gloves, Masher, and Hand Gun. You'll go through six
              Tentacles before you reach two more and King Calamari. Kill
              the Tentacles first with Normal Attacks and then start aiming
              all your Normal Attacks at King Calamari. He'll be pretty
              easy, but watch out for his Sand Storm Attack.

    =======================================================================

    Johnny - 820 HP Sunken Ship "Whoa! It's all over."
    Bandana Blue - 150 HP Sunken Ship "Color me Blue, mates!"
    Bandana Blue - 150 HP Sunken Ship "Color me Blue, mates!"
    Bandana Blue - 150 HP Sunken Ship "Color me Blue, mates!"
    Bandana Blue - 150 HP Sunken Ship "Color me Blue, mates!"
    TACTICS - Defeat all of the Bandana Blues with Normal attacks and then
              focus in on Johnny. Beef up Mario with Geno Boost because
              he'll need it when he faces Johnny alone. When Johnny and
              Mario fight alone, use any Rock Candy that you have because
              you'll only have to get 400 HP out of him. Always keep your
              HP above 60 and you'll be fine. Make sure Mario has the
              Safety Ring on as well that you previously got in the last
              room with the water.

    =======================================================================

    Yaridovich - 1500 HP Seaside Town "My promotion's at stake."
    Yaridovich (Mirage) - 500 HP Seaside Town "I'm not the real McCoy!"
    TACTICS - Like in all other boss battles, Geno Boost works really well
              in this battle. Use it on everyone in your party and then
              birage Yaridovich with Super Jumps and Normal Attacks with
              the Masher, Hand Gun, and Hurly Gloves. When he splits up,
              which ever one you do a whole bunch more damage to is the
              mirage, so aim for the other form.

    =======================================================================

    *Belome (Second Fight)- 1200 HP Belome Temple "Gotta yummy in
                                                        my tummy!"
    Bowser Clone - 300 HP Belome Temple "Grr...my castle..."
    Geno Clone - 250 HP Belome Temple "Star Pieces...Star..."
    Mallow Clone - 150 HP Belome Temple "Ma? Pa? Where are ya?"
    Mario Clone - 200 HP Belome Temple "......"
    Toadstool 2 - 120 HP Belome Temple"It's tough to be pretty!"
    TACTICS - Just ignore the clones because they do practically no damage
              and hack down on Belome's HP with Normal Attacks like Troopa
              Shell, Hurly Gloves, and Double Punch. Once Belome dies, go
              after the clones. This should be an easy fight.

    =======================================================================

    For Jagger, Jinx and Culex Walkthroughs, see near the bottom of Section 11.

    =======================================================================

    Megasmilax - 1000 HP Bean Valley "I was a water baby!"
    Smilax - 200 HP Bean Valley "Turn your eyes!"
    Smilax - 200 HP Bean Valley "Turn your eyes!"
    TACTICS - You may want to use a Rock Candy, if you have it, just to get
              rid of those annoying little Smilax. Get rid of the small
              ones first with Normal Attacks if you have no Rock Candy.
              Then use all the Normal Attacks you have against the
              Megasmilax. This should be a pretty easy fight. Safety Badge
              is very helpful if you have it equipped.

    =======================================================================

    Birdo - 777 HP Nimbus Land "I just love life!"
    Shelly - 500 HP Nimbus Land "Slow down!"
    TACTICS - Crack open the egg with normal attacks and then you'll fight
              Birdo. She has some crazy defense, but even better magical
              defense, so stay away from special attacks. Use Rock Candy if
              you have it and just keep using your Normal Attacks with your
              new weapons you bought in the Nimbus Land Item Shop. Keep
              your HP high and sooner or later she will be defeated and
              give you the key.

    =======================================================================

    Dodo (First fight) - 800 HP Nimbus Land "I'm STARVED!"
    TACTICS - You only fight him the first time if you miss running into
              him and defeating him automatically with the star. He'll use
              Flutterhush and Multistrike but they're no match for Spiked
              Link, Hand Cannon, and Mega Glove (Let's hope you have them).

    =======================================================================

    Dodo (Second fight) - 500 HP Nimbus Land "I'm starved...later!"
    Dodo (Third fight) - 500 HP Nimbus Land "I'm starved...later!"
    Valentina -2000 HP Nimbus Land "I tell ya, he's NOTHING!"
    TACTICS - Who ever is in the middle of your party, Dodo will take away
              so you fight him one on one. I suggest you put Bowser in the
              middle. Use Spiked Link on Dodo until he is defeated then he
              will run away and the scene will shift to Mario and Geno
              fighting Valentina. Start off with Geno Boost on Geno and
              then cut her down with Normal attacks such as Mega Glove and
              Hand Cannon. Once she loses a certain amount of HP, Bowser
              and Dodo will come back and everyone will fight each other.
              First use Geno Blast on everyone, then defeat Dodo with
              Normal attacks. He will kind of jump, indicating he is
              defeated and can no longer attack. No we fight Valentina.
              She's gotta lot of HP but no defense. Use all your Normal
              Attacks until she is defeated.

    =======================================================================

    ***After you defeat Valentina, go get the Lazy Shell in Rose Town (see section
    4 or 5). Immediately equip the Lazy Shell armor on Princess and the Lazy Shell
    weapon on Mario. Your party should be: Mario Princess Geno. Now that Princess
    has that armor on, she will practically never die and always alive in battles
    to heal everyone.

    =======================================================================

    Czar Dragon - 1400 HP Barrel Volcano "Flamin' hot, right at ya!"
    Zombone - 1800 HP Barrel Volcano "Hey! We're not done yet!"
    TACTICS - Now that you have Princess, only use her for Therapy, Group
              Hug and Come Back. Use Normal attacks with her if everyone
              has full health. For the Czar Dragon, you will want to stay
              away from magical attacks against him. If you have the Star
              Egg or Rock Candy, use it when he summons those red lava
              balls that explode. When he dies, the most powerful magically
              enhanced boss will arise, Zombone. I just think that he has
              such awesome magical defense and magical attack that he is
              better than Culex or Smithy. DON'T USE MAGICAL ATTACKS. Stick
              to your Normal Attacks. By now you should have Lazy Shell,
              Hand Cannon, and War Fan. They should do a pretty good amount
              of damage. Keep using Group Hug on everyone with Princess
              once their HP gets low and you should be fine for this
              battle.

    =======================================================================

    Axem Black - 550 HP Barrel Volcano "You're timing stinks!"
    Axem Green - 450 HP Barrel Volcano "Are we done here?"
    Axem Pink - 400 HP Barrel Volcano "Red, WRONG POSITION!"
    Axem Rangers - 999 HP Barrel Volcano "It's a melee!"
    Axem Red - 800 HP Barrel Volcano "I'm all thumbs today."
    Axem Yellow - 600 HP Barrel Volcano "We're lookin' GOOD!"
    TACTICS - I usually take them out from weakest to strongest. Here's the
              order you should take them out in: Pink, Green, Black,
              Yellow, Red. Use Star Egg and Rock Candy if you have them,
              and just hack away at them with Hand Cannon and Lazy Shell
              and let Princess do the healing. Once you take them out
              they'll all use Breaker Beam on you which does about 110 HP
              damage to Mario and Geno, and probably 10-20 HP damage to
              Princess with the Lazy Shell on. Don't use magical attacks in
              this battle, try sticking to Normal Attacks like in most
              other battles.

    =======================================================================

    Magikoopa - 1600 HP  Bowser's Keep  "That's...my child?"
    TACTICS - Hammer him down with the new weapons that you got after you
              defeated the Axem Rangers (Frying Pan for Princess, Star Gun
              for Geno). You may not have the Star Gun, it just depends on
              what door you went through. Soon enough Magikoopa will
              summons someone that she can hide behind. Defeat this monster
              and then keep aiming for Magikoopa with your Normal Attacks.

    =======================================================================

    Boomer - 2000 HP Bowser's Keep "It's all over now..."
    TACTICS - Don't use magical attacks again on this battle cause Boomer
              has just about the best magical defense in the game. Stick to
              Normal Attacks again. As a matter of fact, you should never
              use magic on bosses now, only in the very beginning. It seems
              that the farther you get in the game, the less and less
              damage your magical attacks do. Anyway, soon Boomer will use
              a defense modifier, then an attack modifier. When he uses the
              attack modifier whale away at him with the Lazy Shell, Star
              Gun, and Frying Pan. Watch out for mortal blows though.

    =======================================================================

    Exor -1800 HP Bowser's Keep "Gotta mow the lawn soon."
    Left Eye  - 300 HP  Bowser's Keep  "I can't see a thing!"
    Right Eye - 500 HP Bowser's Keep "I've got an astigmatism!"
    Neosquid - 800 HP Bowser's Keep "I'm so utterly alone..."
    TACTICS - Start the battle off with some Rock Candy or some Star Egg
              attacks, then aim all of your Normal attacks at Left Eye. For
              the rest of the battle, ignore Right Eye and Neosquid. Once
              Right Eye faints, aim all of your attacks at Exor. Soon Left
              eye will come back, so hit him until he faints again and then
              aim for Exor. Keep repeating this process until Exor is dead.
              Try using Geno Whirl on Exor, I actually got it to work once!

    =======================================================================

    Count Down - 2400 HP Factory "We're into overtime!"
    Ding-a-ling - 1200 HP Factory "Wake up sleepy heads!"
    Ding-a-ling - 1200 HP Factory "Wake up sleepy heads!"
    TACTICS - Take out the Ding-a-lings first with Normal Attacks and Star
              Egg. Next go after Count Down. He will use Mega-Recover, so
              be prepared. You should always keep everyone's health high
              with Group Hug because some of their magic damage can be
              extremely harsh. This should be a pretty easy fight if you're
              using the Star Gun, Lazy Shell, and Frying Pan.

    =======================================================================

    Cloaker - 1200 HP Factory "I love cold hard steel!"
    Domino - 900 HP Factory "MAGIC! DEAL with it!"
    Earth Link - 2500 HP Factory "What a royal pain!"
    Mad Adder - 1500 HP Factory "I'm alive and kicking."
    TACTICS - If you defeat Cloaker first, you'll fight Domino and Mad
              Adder. If you defeat Domino first, you'll fight Cloaker and
              Earth Link. I suggest you kill Domino first because Mad Adder
              can be pretty difficult, even though he has much less HP. Use
              Normal Attacks throughout this battle with some Rock Candy
              and Star Egg attacks if you want to. Once you get to Earth
              Link, take out Cloaker first, then attack Earth Link with
              everything you've got (preferably Normal Attacks). Earth
              Link's biting attacks like Poison can be very damaging, so
              watch your HP and heal with Princess' Group Hug Special.

    =======================================================================

    Clerk - 500 HP Factory "10 years I've been here!"
    Mad Mallet - 200 HP Factory "Work, work, work..."
    Mad Mallet - 200 HP Factory "Work, work, work..."
    TACTICS - This is really easy. Just use Normal Attacks on everyone and
              that is that. I don't even know why I designate him as a
              boss.

    =======================================================================

    Manager - 800 HP Factory "25 years of working, sigh."
    Pounder - 180 HP Factory "Wham bam SLAM!"
    Pounder - 180 HP Factory "Wham bam SLAM!"
    Pounder - 180 HP Factory "Wham bam SLAM!"
    TACTICS - The same battle as the last one except he has 200 more HP.
              Take him out with Normal Attacks.

    =======================================================================

    Director - 1000 HP Factory "I just lost EVERYTHING."
    Poundette - 150 HP Factory "Love conquers ALL"
    Poundette - 150 HP Factory "Love conquers ALL"
    TACTICS - Same thing as the last two. Use Normal Attacks. Very easy.

    =======================================================================

    Factory Chief - 1000 HP Factory "Who DARES to fight ME?!"
    Gunyolk - 1500 HP Factory "If we're beaten, the boss is alone!"
    TACTICS - Take out the Factory Chief first with some Rare Candy, Star
              Egg Attacks and Normal Attacks. Soon he'll be defeated and
              you're left with the pleasure of taking out Gunyolk. Keep
              everyone's health high with Group Hug cause he uses the ultra
              powerful move Breaker Beam. If you don't have Princess
              equipped with the Lazy Shell Armor then you're pretty much
              screwed. Keep attacking him after using Geno Boost with
              Normal attacks and Gunyolk should be defeated soon.

    =======================================================================

    Smithy - 2000 HP Factory "Eh?! Not bad!"
    Smelter - 1500 HP Factory "I brush after each meal!"
    Shyper - 400 HP Factory "Ooh! This will be fun!"
    TACTICS - You're just gonna want to keep using Star Eggs and Rock
              Candies when Smelter makes all those annoying Shyper's,
              otherwise aim all of your Normal Attacks on Smithy. Never
              attack a Shyper individually, always use moves that do damage
              to all enemies. Soon enough, Smithy will get cheesed off,
              wreck the Factory, and show you his true form.

    =======================================================================

    Smithy (Body) - 1000 HP Factory "What a heavy head!"
    Smithy (Regular Head) - 8000 HP Factory "This isn't good at all!"
    Smithy (Tank Head) - 8000 HP Factory "Don't shock me! DON'T!"
    Smithy (Magic Head) - 8000 HP Factory "Good magic, bad defense."
    Smithy (Treasure Box) - 8000 HP Factory "What's hidden inside?!"
    Smithy (Vault Head) - 8000 HP Factory "Nothin' can hurt me!"
    TACTICS - You will first want to take out his body with Normal Attacks
              so he can't do those annoying Finger Shot attacks. As soon as
              his body comes back, take it out again. He will soon change
              heads. You should use fire attacks on the Vault Head, and for
              all the others you should just use Normal Attacks. Keep
              having Princess heal everyone with Group Hug, Therapy, and
              Come Back if they need to be revived. It will take a long
              time to defeat but it won't be too hard.

    =**Pipe Vault Goomba Thumping**=
    ================================

    This is a fun little mini game in the Pipe Vault for some sweet prizes. To
    get there go down the second to last pipe in the long row of green pipes in
    the pipe vault. The game is set up with 4 green pipes like this: P= Pipe,
    M= Mario
        P

    P   M   P

        P

    You're gonna want to always have Mario in the middle while playing the game.
    The game consists of a system of points. You get points by jumping on the
    enemies that come out of the pipes. A regular Goomba is 1 point a Golden Goomba
    is 3 points and a Spikey is -1 points. You can get a Flower Tab and a Flower
    Jar. After you get those prizes the rest are Frog Coins. Be sure not to go
    over the amount of points the Mole asks you to get or you will miss prizes.
    My record is 40 points.

    REWARDS- Frog Coins, Flower Tab, Flower Jar

    =================================
    =**Yo'Ster Isle Mushroom Derby**=
    =================================

    This is a fun Mini Game with Yoshi. To start, go get some cookies from the
    red-orange Yoshi if you don't have any. He'll give you three cookies. Then
    go talk to Boshi, the blue one with the spikes. He'll offer to race you. Here's
    how you should wager your cookies. If the odds are good in your favor, i.e.
    2:1 or 1 and a half:1 , then get off Yoshi and race but only wager a couple
    of cookies. If the odds are high, like 4:1 you should race with Yoshi and
    bet a good number of cookies, if you're good at it, if not only bet one cookie.
    To race, simply keep hitting the A and the B buttons simultaneously to keep
    with the beat of the music. After you get 20 cookies go give them to the baby
    Yoshi in the egg nest. Then exit and come back and you'll notice the Baby
    Yoshi has gotten quite big. Now, the more cookies you give him the better
    your prize will be.

    REWARDS- Red Essence, KerokeroCola, and a bunch of Yoshi Cookies

    ===================

    to ride this for free. When you go back you have to pay 10 coins. If you wager
    some coins and beat your high score you'll get 50 coins. Not exactly a very
    rewarding Mini Game. Here's what the controls are:

    D-Pad - Move left and right
    A - Brake
    B - Jump
    X - Boost with a Mushroom
    Y - Brake

    REWARDS- Coins

    =**Curtain Game**=
    ==================

    You must do this Mini Game to proceed in the game. When you get to the very
    top of Booster Tower you'll have to hide behind curtains from the Snifits.
    The Snifits will open the curtains up to try and find you. You can move behind
    the curtains to avoid them. Here's what the curtains are like. M= Mario S=
    Snifit

    =**Marrymore Hotel SUITE**=
    ===========================

    Go to the Marrymore Hotel with no more than 299 coins and tell the person
    you want to stay in the SUITE. Once inside turn off the lamp and go to sleep.
    When you wake up, go back to the lamp and turn it off again. It'll say "You've
    only payed for one night's stay, do you want to stay one more?" Say yes and
    go to sleep. Do this as many times as you want to and then go back downstairs.
    The person will make you work at the hotel to pay off what you owe her. If
    you have anything over 300 coins, she'll make you pay 100 coins for each extra
    night you stayed there.

    All you do is simply show guests to the SUITE. Once you escort a person to
    the SUITE do not talk to them again. Go down the stairs and then wait until
    they come down the stairs to ask them for a tip. The old man will give you
    a Flower Box sooner or later! The couple will never give you anything, cheap
    punks.

    =========================
    =**Beetle Mania (Game)**=

    little star things. Try to wait a while without firing, then hit one of the

    =**Sky Bridge**=
    ================

    the bees you'll find the Sky Bridge. All you have to do here is jump across
    donut holes across the bridge. There are three difficulty levels, Normal,
    Special. and Expert. Normal you get 5 coins, Special you get 8 coins, and
    Expert you get a Frog Coin for getting across safely.

    REWARD- Coins and Frog coins

    =====================
    =**Scale The Cliff**=
    =====================

    Scale the Cliff is the best and easiest mini game for getting Frog Coins.
    It's located at the very end of Land's End, it's free, it's easy, and it's
    very worthwhile. All you do is jump from Troopa to Troopa as fast as you can.
    The faster you go the more Frog Coins you'll get. Here's the exchange rate
    if you complete scaling the cliff:

    First Time you Go (Under 12 seconds) - Troopa Pin
    Under 12 seconds - 1 Frog Coin
    Under 11 seconds - 5 Frog Coins
    Under 9 seconds  - 10 Frog Coins
    Under 8 seconds  - ????????????

    The very first time you scale the cliff you'll get a Troopa Pin accessory,
    but that is the only time you'll get that accessory.
    Here is how the cliff will look:
    F = Finish, S = Start, 1-8 = order of Troopas you go in

    Of course this is not an exact interpritation, but it's the best I can do.

    REWARD- Frog Coins, Troopa Pin

    ===================
    =**3 Musty Fears**=
    ===================

    Go to the room in Monstro Town with the bed and the mushroom lamp in it. Turn
    out the mushroom lamp and take a snooze. In your dreams the 3 Musty Fears
    will come and talk to you and tell you to play a game with them. They hid
    their flags "Behind a wooden flower," "Under a green bed," and "Between a
    O and an A." So go to Rose Town and press A behind the wooden flower. Go to
    Yo'ster Isle and press A between the O and the A. And then go to Mario's Pad
    and press A by the bed. Go back to the room in Monstro Town and go to sleep
    again. They'll give you a reward for retrieving their flags.

    REWARD- Ghost Medal

    =====================
    =**Dojo Tournament**=
    =====================

    This is another fun side quest in Monstro Town. Go up the stairs and into
    the fighting Dojo. Jagger will be there so challenge him to a fight.

    Jagger - 600 HP "Oh! I'm so excited!"

    That was easy. Next Jinx will challenge you and I have to admit I laughed
    the first time I saw him. Each time you battle him he will tougher and tougher.
    Make sure you have Geno and Princess in your party and also make sure you
    have the Lazy Shell.

    Jinx (First Fight) - 600 HP "You're just a beginner!"

    That was a little harder than Jagger wasn't it? But hopefully you still didn't
    have trouble with him. Just stick to normal attacks with the first fight
    against him.

    Jinx (Second Fight) - 800 HP "Sympathy?! Not from me!"

    Wow, now it's getting' tough. He'll use mortal blows but you should still
    stick to normal attacks against him even though it will probably take a while.

    Jinx (Third Fight) - 1000 HP "Ooh! I'm gonna hurt ya!"

    Ok, now that is just plain hard! This guy has some mad defense but still stick
    to the strategy of normal attacks, NO MAGIC ATTACKS. You'll be rewarded
    handsomely if you win.

    REWARD- Jinx Belt

    ===========
    =**Culex**=
    ===========

    This is my favorite side quest in the game. To get to Culex simply go to
    Moleville and buy Fireworks from the father mole in one of the houses. Then
    go outside and talk to the little girl with the pur-tend store. Trade her
    the Fireworks for a Shiny Stone. Next go to Monstro Town and use the Shiny
    Stone on the sealed door. Go inside to fight Culex and his crystals!

    Culex - 4096 HP "A little off, eh?"
    Earth Crystal - 3200 HP "I hate being awakened!"
    Fire Crystal - 2500 HP "I gotta vacuum tonight!"
    Water Crystal - 1600 HP "Get me back underground!"
    Wind Crystal - 800 HP "Whhhhhooooo..."

    This is a very fun battle. Have Princess and Geno in your group and make sure
    you have Mario's weapon as the Lazy Shell, Princess' armor as the Lazy Shell,
    and Geno's weapon as the Star Gun. Also make sure you have plenty of syrups
    and let Princess heal everyone. The Star Egg helps in this battle too. If
    you beat him, you'll get a sweet reward.

    REWARD- Culex Charm

    ======================
    =**Grate Guy Casino**=
    ======================

    This is a fun Side Quest. After you beat Bundt and Raspberry at Marrymore
    go back to Booster Tower. Go all the way up until you find Knife Guy juggling
    balls. Tell him you want to play and guess which ball the hand is in correctly
    13 times and he will give you the Bright Card. Next, when you get to Bean
    Valley, let the Shy Away water the far right pipe with the Smilax thing. Defeat
    and go down. Then, right to the left of the Chomp thing jump and you will
    reveal a secret block. Go up it to find Grate Guy's Casino.

    There are several games you can play once inside. The Slot Machine is a game
    that costs 10 coins per play where you must match all three pictures to get
    one Frog coin (waste of money and time). You can play Blackjack which is like
    21 where you have to get as close to 21 as you can without going over using
    cards. This is pretty fun and reward for winning is a Frog coin.

    Another thing you can do is play Look the Other Way. Go up and talk to Grate
    Guy several times and ask him to play his game. There is no true way of winning
    this game as it is completely random so you must guess. Win 100 times (not
    in a row) and he will give you a Star Egg which can never be used up and always
    does either 100 or 150 HP damage to all enemies.

    REWARDS- Red Essence, Moldy Mush, Rotten Mush, Wilt Shroom, Star Egg
    EXTRA INFO- I see walkthroughs say that you must win 100 times in a row to
    get the Star Egg. This is false. I also see people say that it does 200 HP
    damage but that is false also.
    _______________________________________________________________________

    ===Section 12=== Hidden Treasure Chests
    _______________________________________________________________________

    There are a total of 39 hidden treasure chests in the worlds of Super Mario
    RPG. You hit a hidden treasure chest by jumping in a certain spot and making
    the chest appear. The rewards for finding these chests are great. If you want
    to know how many hidden chests are left, go talk to the treasure chest with
    the eyes in one of the houses in Monstro Town. Many people think that once
    you collect them all the treasure chest guy will give you a special reward
    but that is not true.

    1) When you first enter the Mushroom Kingdom Castle Toad will talk to you.
    When he tells you to follow him jump on his head, then once you reach the
    door jump above the door to the ledge. Once up there, jump straight up to
    reveal a hidden chest with a Frog Coin.

    2) Go into the Mushroom Kingdom Item Shop and go down the stairs. Jump on
    the guy's head and then jump again to reveal a hidden chest with a flower.

    3) In the same room, wait until the guy goes to the far right corner. Jump
    on his head and then jump again to reveal another hidden chest with a Flower.

    4) In Bandit's Way in the area with the yellow blocks go to the end of the
    area with the spinning flower. Get on the spinning flower and then wait until
    you are facing the other flower and then jump to reval a KerokeroCola.

    5) In the Rose Town go to the house in the top-left corner where you have
    to jump on the guys head to get in. Once inside, go upstairs and jump on the
    drawer to get a Frog Coin.

    6) In the Rose Town Item Shop jump onto the cupboards and go to the top-left
    corner and jump to get a Frog Coin.

    7) As soon as you enter the Forest Maze jump in the bottom left corner to
    get a KerokeroCola.

    8) As soon as you come out from the first tree stump go directly left and
    jump for a Frog Coin.

    9) In the section of the Forest Maze with all the stumps go through the bottom
    right stump and jump where there is a light spot near the bottom of the area
    to get a Flower.

    10) In the section of the Forest Maze with all the stumps go through the stump
    in the middle on the left. Go past the trampoline and then jump to get a nothing.
    No that's not a typo, you get nothing.

    11) In the section of the Forest Maze with all the stumps go through the last
    stump. Go past the wiggler without touching him and then jump to get a
    KerokeroCola.

    ===Section 13=== Strange Observations of SMRPG
    _______________________________________________________________________

    This is kind of a humorous section with some strange observations I have taken
    from the many years of playing SMRPG. If you have answers to any of these
    questions or if you have an explanation different from mine e-mail me at
    firm1314@cs.com.

    1) Does anyone actually know what Culex's move Shredder does?? What does it
    do? Whenever you play Culex he'll use it like a million times but it seems
    to do nothing. It does no damage, no special effects, nothing. It seems like
    the whole internet is stumped. I don't even want to try asking the Message
    Board on GameFAQs.com cause I'll get about a thousand different answers. My
    theory is that it does absolutely nothing. Square just programmed the move
    to give you a chance to heal or even survive when you're playing Culex and
    his damn crystals.

    2) Is there anyone out there that has actually gotten the Super Suit?? I have
    gotten it, but seriously, it was damn hard. Of course it was worth it, but
    imagine how many frustrated people there must have been trying to get it.
    Try to make it a little harder Nintendo.

    3) Who is that guy that you can't see behind the house in Mushroom Kingdom
    that tells you useless information?? The big theory all over the message
    boards is that he is Luigi and I agree with that. There is also one in Rose
    Town. That one seems stupider so I'm gonna say it's Wario.

    4) What's so legendary about a seed and fertilizer? Why doesn't Mario just
    go debo fertilizer from some farmer and find the seed in the damn forest.
    I get so cheesed off every time that damn gardener tells me how legendary
    they are. And what's up with that gardener?? Is he on speed or something?
    He's probably got a stash up on his magic beanstalk.

    5) What's up with these Link and Samus cameos in Rose Town?? I guess it's
    just Nintendo trying to get some cheap advertising. If it was up to me, I'd
    recruit them both. Try jumping on there bed for a while. See if Link will
    bust out his Master Sword. Maybe even boomerang your ass.

    6) Has anyone else noticed how easy it is to get Frog Coins on the Scale the
    Cliff Mini-game?? I got so many frog coins so fast. I drove Frogfucius' nephew
    out of business, that was pretty cool. If you need some Frog Coins, go to
    Land's End!

    7) What Final Fantasy is Culex from????

    ===Section 14=== Closing Statements
    _______________________________________________________________________

    SMRPG was the best game ever made. It's kind of a shame that Nintendo and
    Square didn't get back together again to make a sequel. Instead Nintendo
    decided to make Paper Mario which is, in my mind, a pretty bad game with the
    worst, most annoying graphics you could ever imagine. As of this moment
    GameFAQs.com is the only site that has permission to put this FAQ on their
    website. If you have any questions about SMRPG that I didn't cover in this
    FAQ feel free to email me at firm1315@aol.com. You can also email me if you
    have any suggestions or tips about my FAQ page. If you send me an email giving
    me a suggestion about my page I will fix it and add your name to the Special
    Thanks list.
