Hiya! This is my first FAQ I've ever submitted...well, anywhere, really. Bear
with me if I screw up--I'll get around to fixing it.

2.0 Storyline
-------------------------
This part's under construction. I have to locate an instruction manual. If you
have one, e-mail me!
-------------------------
2.1 Game Concept
-------------------------
Wild Guns is hell to explain to someone who hasn't played it before, but I'll
try my best.
The game takes place with a view behind the characters. At the bottom, a bar
showing the player's stats is shown. You control your character and your
"aiming reticle" simultaneously. Remember this: YOU CAN'T MOVE AND SHOOT! To
walk, you'll have to release the fire button. See (2.2) Basic Controls.
I'll have some ASCII art here soon, but for now, you can tell what I'm talking
about.
A. The box on the left (right for 2P) shows your current situation. A face
grins (Clint) or winks (Annie) when you pick up nuggets or complete a stage. It
grimaces when you are shot/blown up/knifed/etc. If you pick up a special weapon
such as the shotgun, the face is replaced with the name of the weapon, a
picture of it, and ammunition remaining.
B. The number directly beside it is your score. You gain an extra life with
enough points.
C. The bar under your score is your Vulcan meter. As you fire your gun, this
fills. See (2.4) Weapons.
D. Under the Vulcan meter is your current lives, and bombs. You can carry up to
five bombs.
E. The numbers in the middle show your time. Unlike most games, you want the
time to run out. Every enemy you kill decreases the clock by one (some later
enemies take off two seconds). When time runs out, the boss appears, which you
must defeat to proceed.
-------------------------
2.2 Basic Controls
-------------------------
Directional Pad: Moves character/aiming reticle.
B: Jump. You can jump straight up or at a 45 degree angle.
Y: Shoot. All guns are fully automatic, which means the gun fires as long as
you hold down Y.
X: Smart Bomb. Kills/damages all enemies on screen.
A: Does nothing.
L: Does nothing.
R: Does nothing.
-------------------------
2.3 Advanced Controls
-------------------------
Double Jump: Press B while in the air to double jump. You can change directions
in midair.
Roll: Press B while shooting to roll to either side. You are invunerable while
you roll.
Lasso: Tap Y repeatedly to swing a blue lasso over your head. Release Y to
throw the lasso. When it connects, it will temporarily freeze enemies in their
tracks. Very useful on bosses, not that effective on regular enemies.
Whack: When Knifeman Joe or a miner is in your face, tap Y when your character
rares back their gun to give them a good whack.
-------------------------
2.4 Weapons
-------------------------
Rifle
------
Your primary weapon. It never runs out, and when you run out of ammunition, you
switch back to this.
Power: C
Rate of Fire (R.O.F.): C
Spread: D
Overall (Not an Average): C
S - Shotgun
----------------
Probably the first special weapon you'll pick up. Each individual shot is
weaker than the rifle, but it does more damage because it spreads out.
Power: C
R.O.F.: D
Spread: A
Overall: B
M - Machine Gun
------------------------
The boss killer. Shoots about four times faster than the rifle, but has ZERO
spread. If you use the "spray-and-pray" tactic, it shreds quicker enemies to
pieces.
Power: C
R.O.F.: A
Spread: D
Overall: A
G - Grenade Launcher
-----------------------------
The most powerful weapon, next to the Vulcan. It even has a little bit of
spread! However, the rate of fire sucks.
Power: B
R.O.F.: D
Spread: B
Overall: A
P - Pop Gun
----------------
This is a joke, right? This little bastard appears occasionally in random
weapon "?" boxes. Shoot all of its ammo out as fast as possible. It does NO
damage.
Power: F
R.O.F.: (not fast enough)
Spread: N/A
Overall: F
V - Vulcan
--------------
Ahh...the best of the best. The Vulcan only appears when you Vulcan meter
(under your score) is maxed, and your character is flashing gold. This baby
combines the spread of the shotgun, the rate of fire of the machine gun, and
the power of the Grenade Launcher. To top it all off, it has infinite ammo.
However, once your Vulcan meter depletes, you revert back to your rifle. My
advice: Don't stop shooting.
Power: A
R.O.F.: B
Spread: A
Overall: A+
Dynamite
-------------
Pick it up with Y and throw it. Of course, you only get one shot, but it's a
helluva lot better than it blowing up on you, and hits enemies in a wide area.
Power: B
R.O.F.: One shot, one kill
Spread: A
Overall: B
-------------------------
2.5 Pickups
-------------------------
Red nuggets are worth 1,000 points.
Blue nuggets are worth 1,500 points.
Bags with a large, red G are worth 500 points.
Missiles with a B on them award you an extra bomb.
-------------------------
2.6 Enemies
-------------------------
This section is under construction. Think about it--I have to shoot EACH AND
EVERY enemy ONE SHOT AT A TIME without them running off to get accurate health
measures. This could take a while.
Blue Cowboys
Green Cowboys
Baldy
Fatty
Knifeman Joe

3. Walkthrough
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
3.0 Carson City Bonus: 30,000
3.1 Carson City Streets
Ah. Your introduction to Wild Guns. The enemy bullets here are very
slow and easy to dodge. Blue jacket Cowboys will jump in from the right and
left, and line up to be shot. Baldies will appear behind the small wagon on the
right, inside the covered wagon on the left, and in the two windows above the
restaurant. At about the 55 second mark, a Gatling Walker will shuffle in from
the side. It takes a second for it to open and aim, so blast away at it.
Another one will appear at the 30 second mark--dispose of it as well. The water
tank at the far top left houses a bomb--blast it to add it to your stock.
BOSS: Machine Gun Android Mach 1 Worth: 1,500
This guy's a chump. Double jump over his autofire and just move out of the
way of his rifle shots. Aim at his ammo belt to take him down.
3.2 Carson City Tavern
Green Cowboys will roll in from the right. Don't bother shooting them
until they stop. Fatties will appear behind the bar, up to four at a time,
throwing dynamite at you. Early on, you should set off a bomb--this will clear
away the tables, not only giving you a better shot at the cowboys, but
revealing three Blue nuggets for the taking. Scoop them up. After a while, two
immobile Redeyes will drop from the ceiling. I suggest you either bomb them, or
dynamite them--trying to shoot them will more than likely get you killed. Stay
between them so neither of them can hit you with their fire.
BOSS: Carlos Worth: 1,000
You will bow down before Carlos. Carlos is your daddy. *ahem* This
pistol-packin' Mexican is no match for you. He'll crawl around on the floor for
a while (during which, he can't be hurt), then stand up to attempt to fire at
you. If you keep the fire rained down on him, he'll go back to crawling around
on the floor. It takes about four shots to scare him enough to do so. However,
if he does, it moves rather quickly, and will more than likely tag you. If he
misses, he'll stop for a second to comb his hair--blast his ass for acting so
cool.
3.3 Carson City Rooftops
STAGE BOSS: Giant Mech
Weak Point: Head
This guy's easy. If you have a partner, one of you can lasso his head to
keep him still while the other fires away. If you're on your own, it gets a tad
bit trickier. The Mech has two attacks--his autofire with his Gatling gun, and
a volley of six missiles from his back. You should double jump over and away
from the autofire. You can walk from side to side to avoid the missiles, but I
suggest just jumping over them. Shoot his face when you get the chance. He'll
go down before you know it.
