Change The Screen Color
At the main menu, choose the first option. Then, at the next menu press Down 4 times to place the cursor on the empty space. Now, press Button 1 five times and a new option will appear there.

Pick The Same Character
At the main menu, choose the second option (Rock, Paper, Scissors). At the mode select screen, press Left, Right, Select, II, Run, II. A sound will be heard if done right. Now you can select the same character in 2 Player mode.
