My reason for doing so is I am a huge Persona/SMT fan and after playing through P4G once, I've come to realise it is now my favourite video game of all time. Persona 4 was a fantastic game in it's own right, but Golden took every gripe or small issue P4 had and fixed it, enhanced it, and made it a fantastic experience. That being said, my obsession with this game has lead me to trying my hand at writing a walkthrough. I'm a very thorough and obsessive gamer, and I am not fufilled until I have happily experienced 100% of a game. I've used this... drive to build this walkthrough in an attempt to help others who may be feeling the same way about this game. Thanks for reading. ------------------------------ About This Guide - PLEASE READ ------------------------------ As this is my first guide, there may be some mistakes, and at this point of writing, it is not complete. I'm trying to complete my guide in the most timely manner possible, but I do work and have other resposibilities so it may take a little time. Not all information has been fleshed out, but I assure you I am working to make the most comprehensive and complete guide as I can. ---------- IMPORTANT! ---------- I want to let it known that this guide is intended for NEW GAME+ runs. That is, once you have finished the game, you can play through a second time with all your money/stats/compendium from the first play through. P4G cannot be 100% completed in the first playthrough. The compedium cannot be 100% completed in the first playthrough, a secret boss will not be available until NG+, and you cannot get all trophies on your first playthrough. I recommend for your first playthrough, to sit back, relax and enjoy the game. Don't focus and stress about 100%ing it on the first try because it is impossible. Max all your stats on your first playthrough so they will carry on to your new game. To repeat: THIS WALKTHROUGH IS BASED ON NEW GAME+ You will not be able to follow this walkthrough on your first playthrough. You may use it as a base for teacher's questions and social link answers, but the dates will be wrong. You have you warned. They're weak to electricity so just Zio them both. Shortly after you'll have your first boss fight. --------------------------------------- Shadow Yosuke - Lv? Magician - ?HP, ?SP --------------------------------------- Wk: Electric Abilities: Wind of Oblivion, Attack, Guard Drop: - An easy battle, but a couple things to note is that Protag will be weak to wind damage, so Wind of Obilivion will knock him down. When Shadow Yosuke Guards, he won't be weak to Zio and won't get knocked down. After guarding, he will cast Wind of Obilivion. If you guard, you won't be weak to it and won't get the knockdown. Other than that, just guard if you need to, use any items you have if you need, and just keep using Zio. Yosuke will gain his Persona Jiraiya and become part of your party. ---- 4/16 ---- >S.Link Magician LV.1 Automatic Yosuke will be able to wake up a knocked down ally in battle ---- 4/17 ---- Talk to Teddie at the dungeon entrance before you go in the castle to get 3 x Revival Bead, 5 x Peach Seed, 5 x Soul Drop. Try to get as many Personas as you can from Arcana Time. You'll need these for Social Links. On the 2nd floor, you will enter a boss battle. ------------------------------------- Shadow Chie - Lv? Chariot - ?hp, ?sp ------------------------------------- Wk: Wind Str: Physical Abilities: Green Wall, Bottomless Envy, Mabufu, Mazio, Attack She has a weakness to Wind so use Yosuke to exploit it until she casts Green Wall on herself, which will nullify the Wind weakness. If it says she looks scornfully at Yosuke, her next move will be Mazio so use Yosuke to guard, and make sure you switch to a Persona that doesn't have a zio weakness. If you got a Pixie as I said before, switch to her to use Dia if needed. Shadow Chie is also strong against physical attacks, so just try to use spells a lot. Another easy boss, you shouldn't have too much problem with this one. After defeating Shadow Chie, Chie will get her persona Tomoe and join the party. >S.Link Fool Lv.1 Automatic When you go home and try to enter your room to rest, you'll get a phone call from Morooka. Talk to Dojima and he will let you leave the house. Go to the shopping district and talk to Morooka to get Yaso High Jersey costume. You can look in the Shiroku Store to see it changes into a pub at night. This is where you can trade gems you find for armour and weapons, but you won't have any at the moment so the owner will brush you off for now. If you have high enough courage you can visit the shrine, but there's nothing there at the moment. ---- 4/18 ---- >S.Link Chariot Lv.1 Automatic Chie will be able to wake up a knocked down ally in battle >Teacher's question: "Beta" - Knowledge gain >Afterschool: >Quest 01: "Who's the Riddle Master!?" On the third floor, there is a student with an afro near the stairway, talk to him to begin the challenge. The answers are as follows: "Group A" "They're the top 6 flag colors" You will receive 3 x Chest Keys and complete the quest. The 'Housewife in farming clothes' at Junes will sell you 3x Tiny Soul Tomato for 800 yen. The boy at the shrine is talking about wanting a Dr. Salt NEO. You can buy one at the vending machine outside the Konishi liquor store for 120yen. Bring it back to him to receive 2 x Tatsuhime Ladybug. You'll need these later on. Go to the Shopping District South and enter the Velvet Room. (You may need to exit and re-enter to get Marie and Elizabeth to talk to you) Choose the 'Check on Dwellers' option and choose Marie to agree to take her outside. >S.Link Aeon Lv.1 Choose any option for all the prompts. >Night: If you visit the shrine tonight you will notice a woman in white standing near the fortune box. She's asking for a Red Goldfish. You are now free to join the soccer or basketball club. In town, the boy at the shrine wants a Grilled Steak Croquette from Souzai Daigaku for 150yen. Trade with him to get 1 x Tatsuhime Ladybug. Remember to make sure you have a Magician and Strength Persona, fuse or buy from the compendium if you need to. Go back to school and go to the field at the end of the 1st floor hallway. Just be careful when it charges as it will attack an ally for high damage. So guard with your MC if you're worried. When it casts Red Wall on itself, it will no longer be weak to Fire so heal up and use other abilities. --------- BOSS (8F) ---------------------------------------- Shadow Yukiko - Lv? Priestess - ?hp, ?sp ---------------------------------------- Wk: Ice Drn: Fire Abilities: White Wall, Summon, Double Fangs, Agi, Burn to Ashes, Terror Voice, Shivering Ronso She's weak to ice, so use Bufu with Chie to get in one or two All-Out Attacks. She'll usually cast White Wall on herself after getting hit with ice, so you'll have to wait for her ice resist to go back down again to use the same trick. Whatever you do, don't use fire attacks, as it'll heal her. Beat her around a bit until about 50% health, at which point she will use summon and a Charming Prince will join the battle. If it gives her a warning sating Yukiko is staring passionately, guard with Chie and switch Protag's persona to something with fire resistance, because her next attack will be Burn to Ashes which is a powerful multi-hit fire attack. ----------------------------------------- Charming Prince - Lv.? Emperor - ?hp, ?sp ----------------------------------------- Wk: Electric Str: Wind Abilities: Makakjam, Diarama He will use Makajam (usually on Chie) to inflict silence, and use physical attacks on the rest of the party. He has the ability to heal Shadow Yukiko so it's in your best interest to kill the prince first and get him out of the way. He's weak to Electric so use Izanagi to exploit this. When he gets to about 25% he will escape, and Yukiko will try to call another prince, but none will come. You can go back to focusing on Yukiko. After the Prince is gone when she gets to about 25% health, she'll start using a few more tricks like Terror Voice which will inflict Fear on one target. And also Shivering Ronso which will do high damage to one character, so keep everyone topped up so they don't get one-hit by this attack. She will also do Burn to Ashes without the 'staring passionately' warm-up turn so watch out for that. If it hits Chie she'll get a second turn. This can be a hard boss, since you only have limited resources, no healing fox to return to, and only a few personas to choose from. So I'd recommend to be at least level 15. Just remember with Chie in your team to guard with her frequently to avoid Yukiko abusing her weakness. Having a persona with Fire resist is a huge help too. After beating this boss, Yukiko will recieve her persona Konohana Sakuya and after her rest, will join the party. ---- 4/22 ---- >Afterschool: Personas needed: Magician Sell your dungeon monster loot to Daidara to get money. The boy at the shrine wants Orange Smash (120yen from the Shiroku store vending machine) for 1 x Tatsuhime Ladybug. >Speak to Yosuke. s.Link Magician Lv.3 1. "Hmm you're looking hairier." 2. Choose any option Yosuke will now be able to perform a follow-up attack in battle >Night: You should have won some gems from Yukiko's Castle, so you can now visit the Shiroku store during night and exchange your gems for items. Exit and re-enter for the lady to speak with you about her fish. She will ask you for one of your Tatsuhime Ladybugs that the boy at the shrine has been giving you. Give it to her to receive Fish Hook and Bread Crumbs. You'll get a River Rod back. You'll now be able to fish! Save your game, then eat at Aiya. With all your stats maxed you will receive the 'Food Fighter' trophy. Reload your game from the save after nabbing the trophy. He requests you get him a drink from the Konishi Liquor Store, but we actually need to get this from inside the TV. The boy at the shrine wants a TaP Soda for 1 x Tatsuhime Ladybug >Once you've brought an Aeon persona, talk to Marie (if you had to go in the velvet room to buy your person, select talk talk to the dwellers then Marie) S.Link Aeon Lv.2 Select anything for all choices >Night: Read/finish The Lovely Man --- 5/2 --- >Afterschool: Accept Quest 04: "Acquire an Angel Statue" Talk to the girl with black hair in your class to accept this. This is another TV quest. Accept Quest 05: "Acquire a Demon Statue" Talk to the 'Shady Student' in the 2F hallway to accept this. Another TV quest. Accept Quest 06: "Acquire a Ritz Wire" Talk to the male in the 1F practice building to accept. A TV quest. The 'Housewife in farming clothes' is selling 3 x Tiny Soul Tomato for 800yen today. Since there's nothing else to do today, head into the TV to finish the quests and train. Firstly once you enter, talk to Yosuke and go to the shopping district. There are no enemies here, but there are two items inside to pick up. Search the table for 1 x Mori Ranmaru, quest item. Then search the barrels at the bottom of the screen for 1 x Skill Spanner - a weapon for Yosuke. Go back to the main hub. Talk to Teddie at the TV world entrace and he will tell you to talk to Yukiko and Chie, before giving you Gag Winter Outift costume. Head on to Yukiko's Castle again. Teddie mentioned a new shadow at the top of the dungeon, so you'll have to climb all the way back up again. You'll find the Demon Statues on Magical Magnus which you can find rarely on 5F or commonly on 6F & 7F. You'll find Ritz Wire on Heat Balance which you can find rarely on 6F or commonly of 7F To get Angel Statue, pick a fight with a Positive King on 7F and wait for it to summon. It will summon an Avenger Knight which drops the statue after the battle. After you've found one of each of the above items, go onto 8F and use a Goho-M to go back and save. Fuse a persona with physical resist/null if possible, and then head back to the castle and straight to 8F to face... ----- BOSS: ----------------------------------------- Contrarian King - Lv.? Emperor - ?hp, ?sp ----------------------------------------- Drn: Fire Nul: Wind Abilities: Hysterical Slap, Kill Rush, Rampage, Red Wall It'll drain your fire abilties, so don't even bother with fire. It has a lot of powerful physical attacks that can hit for 1-3 times. Rampage hits all, while Hysterical Slap and Kill Rush is one-target. Hysterical Slap also has a chance to inflict Rage on the target. While this will make that character's attacks super-strong, it also means they will take a lot more damage and will probably be one-shotted. So it's in your best interest to cure that ASAP. Rampage is the most deadliest of these attacks, as it can wipe out your entire party in one swoop if you are not leveled high enough and don't buff your defense. If you can, lower the King's attack, and raise your party's defense and evasion. This is really the first fight that will teach you to use buffs and debuffs. Have Yosuke buff evasion, Protag buff defense and lower attack if you can, Chie to deal damage and Yukiko to heal. When you win inspect the throne to find 1x Suzaku Feather (Yukiko weapon) Use a Goho-M to go back and go quit exploring by leaving the TV world. >Night: You won't be able to go out or study tonight from being too tired. If you still need more courage, you can eat from the fridge though. --- 5/3 --- >S.Link Justice Lv.1 Automatic >Night: Personas needed: Magician Go to the shrine to meet the lady in white again. This time you can give her your Red Goldfish and she will give you 1 x Kingyou Stone >In the North Shopping District talk to Yosuke. 1. "Sounds tough." 2. Choose any Receive 1 x Caramel Drop --- 5/4 --- Personas needed: Chariot Yosuke will call you to hang out, decline his offer. Sell your dungeon monster loot to Daidara and upgrade your weapons/armour if you need to. The boy at the shrine want a The Natural today for 2 x Tatsuhime Ladybug Complete Quest 03: "Acquire Mori Ranmaru Shochu Turn the Mori Ranmaru in to the man on the floodplains. You'll get 4000yen as reward. >Talk to Chie in South Shopping District S.Link Chariot Lv.3 "It's cute." (need courage) Chie can perform a follow-up attack in battle. >Night: Go fishing with the new ladybugs you've got. You'll need these fish for later. --- 5/5 --- You've got a choice of where you want to go but you'll end up at the shrine regardless. >S.Link Hermit Lv.1 Automatic This social link levels up through quests which I will guide you through. >Night: You wont be able to go out tonight because of Dojima. So spend the time leveling up any stats you still need, or do some work for money. --- 5/6 --- Complete Quest 04: "Acquire Angel Statue" Give your Angel statue to the girl in your class, and receive 3 x Chest Key as reward. Complete Quest 05: "Acquire Demon Statue" Give your Demon Statue to the guy in the 2F hallway and receive 3 x Dokudami Tea as reward. Complete Quest 06: "Acquire a Ritz Wire" Give Ritz Wire to the guy in 1F practise building. He will give you 1 x Olympic Tape Quest progress: Go to the roof and talk to the girl near the fence. "Ask about her hobbies" New books are available. Go to the bookstore and purchase Off Today and Office Work Manual. The boy at the shrine will trade an Orange Smash for 1 x Tatsuhime Ladybug. You'll also notice the old man that the fox helped here, talk to him. He's restored the fortune box and you can now draw fortune to help towards social links. While you're at the shrine, call the fox to accept it's ema. Accept Quest 07: "I Wish For Love" Quest progress: Once you've accepted the ema, go back to Yasogami. Next to the footlockers on 1F is a girl next to yours. Talk to her to find out she's the one who wrote the ema. You will meet her again another day. Take the bus-stop at South Shopping District to the day care job. Working here today will open up the Temperance S.Link next time. >Night: Personas needed: Chariot (for tomorrow) >Talk to Dojima. He will only attack if he has all three buffs (Power Charge, Rebellion, Tarukaja) active, then he will use Single Shot. If any of his buffs fall off, he will buff himself instead of attacking. Of course, his buffed Single Shot is pretty much a guarnteed one-hit shot, but if you guard the turn he's going to use it, a buff will fall off after he uses it and will start buffing again. Use this predictable cycle to your advantage and guard when needed. He will also Counter physical attacks sometimes, so keep everyone healed up. ---- BOSS ------------------------------------- Shadow Kanji - Lv? They will put buffs on Kanji and one can do Rampage, so it's in your best interest to get rid of them first. Focus on the Nice Guy first, use Bufu on him as much as possible. Tough Guy will cast White Wall on him eventually, so stop with the Bufu and just pound away at it until it dies. If you're stuggling to keep your health up, then focus on Tough Guy next. Use Fire attacks on him until he dies (with Nice Guy dead there will be no one to Red Wall him). For this fight you'll want to have a persona that is strong to Electricity since three of Kanji's attacks are electric-based. If you can find one that is strong to electricity and physical as well that that's even better. Keep in mind the electricity will be exploiting Yosuke's weakness, so he will be knocked down a lot. If Shadow Kanji knocks down someone, his second move will be Spirit Drain. Which isn't too bad. But if this worries you, cast an electric resist wall on Yosuke, or have him guard a lot. Shadow Kanji will do two attacks that cause ailments. Forbidden Murmur will cause Poison on Protag and Yosuke, while Roar of Wrath with inflict Rage on Chie and Yukiko. You'll need a persona with Me Patra for your protag to cure the girls. At about 25% health he'll cast Revolution which will make his crit rise and will start using Kill Rush. Go all out and keep everyone topped off with Yukiko healing and you'll eventually win. You will find Crooked Cross on Tranquil Idols, found rarely on Bath#3 & Bath#4 or commonly on Bath#6, Bath#7 You will find a Grand Horn from Grave Beetle, found on Bath#9 and Bath#10 Reflecting Board drops off of Crying Tables on Bath#10 You will find Coal on Selfish Basalt on Bath#5 Be on the lookout for Rainy Brothers and Rainy Sisters too. Both are weak to Ice, and are only found on rainy days so the materials they drop are rare. Once you get the Bath#11 use a Goho-M to go back and save as there will be a boss battle again. ----- BOSS: ------------------------------------------ Intolerant Officer - Lv? Hiero. - ?hp, ?sp ------------------------------------------ Wk: Zio Abilities: Bufula, Single Shot He has Bufula, which of course exploits Yukiko's weakness (which he has no reservations about targeting her). I find he Bufulas her constantly unless you guard with her, then he will move onto Bufulaing someone else or using Single Shot. If you can cast White Wall on Yukiko that would be a huge help, and bring in a persona that is strong to Ice and physical is possible. Other than that, keep healed. If you're at a decent enough level he shouldn't be too bad. Keep in mind he is weak to Zio so if you chose to have Kanji in your party, use him to exploit the boss for All-Out Attacks as much as possible. Once you defeat it, check the floor to find Iron Plate (Kanji's weapon). Use Goho-M to return to the hub. While Mind Slice does inflict Panic, this guy is not much of a threat if you have Me Patra. You'll also notice Yukiko will be able to exploit his weakness, so do so as much as possible. ---- BOSS ----------------------------------- Shadow Rise - Lv? Lovers - ?hp, ?sp ----------------------------------- Abilities: Agi, Maragi, Agilao, Bufu, Mabufu, Bufula, Garu, Magaru, Garula, Zio, Mazio, Zionga, Mind Slice, Supreme Insight This is a temporary, un-winnable fight. And you will have another serious fight after it. So the trick is to save your SP as much as possible for this fight, and try to end the fight with high health, ready for the next fight. She is a bit predictable in what abilities she will use next, so use this to your adventage and block with characters to avoid them getting hit with their weakness when appropriate. For example, if she uses Agi, her next ability will be Maragi - so guard with Chie. If anyone gets hit with a weakness she will follow up with an even more powerful fire attack. She will do this for each element, so just be aware of what she is casting and you should be able to keep yourself safe. After she casts Supreme Insight, all your attacks will miss her. Do not waste any SP by trying to hit her with spells, just guard with all your characters until the battle automatically ends a couple turns later. Having a persona equipped that has no Fire/Ice/Wind/Electric weakness will help your Protag greatly in this fight. Once you win it's an immediate second boss fight: ---- BOSS ------------------------------ Shadow Teddie - Lv? - ?hp, ?sp ------------------------------ Drn: Ice Abilities: Marukunda, Heat Wave, Dekaja, Attack, Foolish Whisper, Mind Charge, Mabufula, Ultra Charge, Mihil Hand, Nullity Guidance, Whatever you do, do NOT use ice attacks, they will heal him. Having a persona with Ice dramge/null on Protag will be of help for the first half of the fight. Shadow Teddie starts the fight by using Marukunda to lower defence, then Heat Wave. He will also use a regular Attack, Dekaja is you put any buffs on yourself, Foolish Whisper to inflict silence, and Mind Charged Mabufula. When he Mind Charges, he'll use Mabufula next so if you have Yukiko guard with her to avoid the weakness hit. At about 60% health left, his tactics will change. He will use an ability called Ultra Charge. This takes one turn to charge, and on the second turn he will do Nihil Hand. Nihil Hand is an instant-kill attack and the only way to avoid it is to guard. If you do not guard with you protag for Nihil Hand, you will wipe and it will be game over. Luckily, as I said it is a very predictable move. When he uses Ultra Charge, you make attack/heal with each character for that round. Teddie's next move will say he is charging. After that battle message, that is the turn you will have to guard. He will sometimes use an ability called Nullity Guidance that will down/dizzy one party member and give Teddie and extra attack, which he will either Nullity Guidance someone else or use Ultra Charge. While this might panic you, it is fine. Your party members will recover from the Dizzy in time to guard from Nihil Hand. So basically keep calm, plan your guards, and keep healed up and you will eventually win. If you're having difficulty fuse a persona with ice and physical resist, and have a persona handy for taking off Marukunda. Just use ice attacks to keep the Almighty Hand down and beat away at Killing Hand and you're done. It may use Deathbound (physical, hits all) but if everyone's topped up it's nothing to worry about. Before you proceed with fighting Mitsuo, make sure you have a Lovers and a Justice persona in your party for after-dungeon events. Lv.? - ?hp, ?sp ----------------------------------- Abilities: Command:Fight, Command:Item(bomb), Comman:Spell(Gigadyne) This boss can be quite a nuisance if you are playing on Normal, Hard or Expert. The boss is made up of two parts, the real boss that you need to defeat to win is the fetus inside the pixel hero. When you get the hero dto no health, it will disappear and you will be able to damage the fetus. The fetus will then rebuild his character and start again. As the hero, for the first round he will only use Command: Fight (physical one ally) and Command: Item (physical one ally, can cause Enervation). The status infliction is a bit of a pain so try to cure it. If you don't kill fetus Mitsuo in the first round and he rebuilds his shell, Hero Mitsuo will level up and be able to sue the skill Gigadyne, a all-party attack that can be very devestating. It classes as no-element so switching to a electric-absorbing persona will not help either. You may buff/debuff against Hero, but be mindful that fetus Mitsuo will remove your buffs if you break the Hero shell. You will have to keep everyone healed constantly and hit it as hard as you can to get it to the fetus stage as fast as possible. --------------------------------- Shadow Mitsuo - ? Lv.? - ?hp, ?sp --------------------------------- Abilities: Character Setup, Dekaja, Blue Wall, White Wall, Red Wall, Green Wall, Mazionga, Mabufula, Maragion, Magarula, Stagnant Air, Whisper, Evil Touch, Ghastly Wail, Attack, Arm Chopper, Chant Once you break down the shell, the real boss, Shado Mitsuo will be vulnerable. You can perform an All-Out Attack when he is revealed. If anyone buffs themselves, he will use Dekaja to clear it. He will then cast a Wall onto himself, pay attention to what colour it is. If he puts up a Blue Wall, the next attacks will be Electric spells, if he puts up Red Wall he will use fire attacks, etc. Use this knowledge to switch to a persona that will null or drain the spells he is going to use, as well as guard with any party members that are weak to that spell. After a couple rounds he will use Stagnant Air and then Whisper to start rebuilding his shell. His next turn he will probably cast Evil Touch on a couple people to inflict Fear on them. YOU MUST DISPELL THIS. If you leave it on anyone, the next turn he will use Ghastly Wail, which instantly kills anyone with the Fear infliction. If you manage to inflict enough damage onto him, you may knock him down and get another All-Out Attack and his shell will break. Aim for this if you can, as his Hero shell is much more of a pain on the second round. He also has a few physical attacks he can do, so keep people topped up. Crazy Chain is physical damage to all enemies with a chance to inflict rage. It will cast this for most of the fight until about 50% of it's health is done. Then it will start yo use it's other abilities. Make sure you have a persona that nulls darkness, but he does have Mudoon. He usually casts it after using Foul Breath, so use this information to your advantage. Mind Slice has a chance to inflict Panic, and Blade of Fury just does physical damage. Keep everyone topped with your healer and use Amrita if you need. This should be an easy battle because no matter what your party make-up is, you will have at least 2 people in your party that can do a Wake-Up Hit to cure ailments. So you shouldn't have any trouble with this. Look at the skull pile on the wall to receive Gaia Sword. Use a Goho-M to return. It will usually be one turn Power Charging, and the next turn attacking. He will do a normal one-person physical attack or sometimes Herculean Strike, which hits everybody. Keep everyone topped up, have a physical resist or nulling persona equipped, and beat him down. He has no weakness to exploit so use whatever your strongest abilities are. When he gets down to about 25% and starts using Stand By, use these free turns to get everyone's health up to full, because it will use Last Resort if not defeated quickly enough. If you've been levelling diligently it should not bother you too much, but keep everyone at full health anyway. ---- BOSS -------------------------------------- Shadow Naoto - Fortune Lv.? - ?hp, ?sp -------------------------------------- Str: Fire Abilities: Brave Blade, Element Zero, Galigim Eyes, Mabufudyne, Heat Riser, Maragidyne, Maziodyne, Magarudyne, Debilitate, Nind Charge This can be a tough encounter, especially if you war playing on a Hard difficulty or have neglected your party member's S.Links. Hopefully you should be good with the later of those things because you'll have been following my guide! Anyway. She will use Brave Blade for the first couple of turns, which is just a one person physical attack that also drains some SP. It is annoying to lose your SP but it's not too bad. But all the fun starts at about 70% health when she will cast Element Zero, nullifying all your party's resistances, including your own. Even though she casts this, choose to bring a persona that has no weaknesses for her to exploit. During this phase she will use Galigim Eyes which lowers one target to 1HP and can inflict Exhaustion. Obviously this is a bad status and needs to be cured or else that party member will pretty much be useless. She will cast Madyne (strong multi-hitting) magic spells on the party, the element being pretty much random. But she will try to use ones that the members in your party are weak to. If she gains a weakness hit on someone and gains an extra turn, she will cast Heat Riser on herself, buffing all her stats and becoming very deadly. Your main concern to using Dekaja or a debuffing item to get those buffs off her, because depending on your level she could very well wipe out your party with those buffs. She can also use Debilitate if she gains an extra turn too, lowering all stats of one party member. Again, try to get rid of this debuff as if she decides to cast something that character is weak to, and can very will one-hit them. Dekunda is good for this. If by any chance she has a turn where Debilitate and Heat Riser are still active, she will also buff herself with Mind Charge. So the best way to avoid this is keep Heat Riser debuffed and you wont get her to Mind Charge. Obviously, always keep your party's health up the best you can and debuff. You'll definately want to equip a persona that can hull or reflect physical if possible, to eliminate the possibly of him critting your protag and wiping you out with Cruel Attack. He will use Virus Wave sometimes, which is physical damage to all with the chance to Posion. When he gets past 50% helath he will Mind Charge, his next turn will be a Magarudyne so block with Kanji if you have him in your party, and switch to a persona to drain/null wind for that turn if you are worried. Even though he uses Garu spells, he is also weak to them. So if you have Yosuke or the recently-acquired Naoto in your party, use them to exploit his weakness as much as possible. Once you win, check the machine to find Algermon, a weapon for Naoto. When it Mind Charges, block with your protag if you're worried, and make sure the persona you have equipped is not weak to any of the 4 magic elements. Just beat on it until it's down. If you're worried about it abusing your teammates' weaknesses, use walls on them or your Paprikas that you've harvested. You can also use Mekaracorn or the Makarakarn spell to put a magic reflect barrier on an ally member to reflect the next attack. ---- BOSS --------------------------------- Kunino-sagiri - ? Lv.? - ?hp, ?sp --------------------------------- Abilities: Mabufudyne, Maziodyne, Magarudyne, Maragidyne, Garudyne, Bufudyne, Agidyne, Ziodyne, God's Judgment, Quad Coverage, Control, Unerring Justice This can be a tough battle if you're playing on a Hard difficulty. At first he will cast random ice, fire, wind and electric spells, sometimes one-hitting, sometimes party-hitting. If he gets a weakness crit, he will use God's Judgement on one person, which lowers their HP by half. The only things I can recommend is to choose a persona that has no four-element weakness. Trumpeter is a good choice if you are level 67 or over, or even a lower-level Black Frost to drain some of his spells is also fine. If you have Naoto in your party she has no weakness, so it's one less person to worry about. But you may want to uses your walls/Paprikas to shield your other characters. Or, again use Makarakarn to bounce the spells back onto the boss. At 70% health, he will use an ability called Quad Coverage. You will notice some of your magic spells will be very weak. If you wait til his next turn (by guarding with everyone) he will use a spell of one of the 4 elements. Whichever spell he uses, he will now be more vulnerable to now. For example if he uses Mabufudyne, use ice attacks on him, but fire electric and wind will be very against him. He will continue casting the spells of that element until it says 'The atmosphere reverted', so you can guard with any characters that are weak to the element he is using too. Once he gets to about 30% health, he will start using Control. First he will usually Control just one party member, and then control all three. How much damage they do to you is dependant on how leveled they are, so when he controls all three sometimes things can go badly. Guard or cast physical/ magic-reflecting barriers on yourself if you feel threatened, even though they will reflect back and damage your allies, it's better than a game over because your protag got killed. Luckily Kunino Sagiri will only use a normal and weak Attack while your allies are controlled, and Rise will sometimes drop in with Himiko to heal you if you are lucky. He will control them for 2 rounds, and then they will all return to you. Heal everyone up if you damaged them with reflects. Towards the end of the fight (below 25% health) he will start to use Unerring Justice instead of a 4-element spell. This is non-elemental damage to all the party so you won't be able to avoid it with drains or nulls from equipped personas. Just keep healing everyone to full and pound away until he's dead. You will save Nanako and return to the real world. He'll usually cast Stagnant Air first, and then use Navas Nebula and Mustard Bomb. Keep everyone topped up and use Amrita if needed. At about 40% health he'll start using all his -dyne spells, which can be a pain since he usually exploits your ally's weaknesses. So have a persona equipped with no four-element weakness like Trumpeter. There's not too much to say about this guy other than that. You'll have to use Wind/Fire/Electric spells to damage him, but do not use Ice as it will heal him. Having a good healer in your party, such as Yukiko with Salvation can make this fight very easy. So just keep healed, buff up if needed and go for it. Once you beat it, check the left pillar across the bridge to get Chakra Ring, one of the best accessories in the game. Note that to finish the Empress S.Link you must be at level 67, so if for some reason your protag is not 67, train some more. Return, and head into the velvet room. The trick here is to kill them all at the same time. If you only kill one at a time, the other ones will summon. If you kill them all at the same time then they cannot summon and you will win. So try and use multi-hitting magic spells to kill them/bring them down by the same amount. -------- MINIBOSS ----------------------------------------------- Envious Giant - Magician Lv.75 - 3333hp, 3333sp ----------------------------------------------- Str: Wind, Ice, Fire Drn: Electric Abilities: Megidolaon, Tentarafoo, High Counter This thing is a bit of a pain, as he will drain Electric, and Wind, Ice and Fire are not very effective against him. BUT he also has a really high counter rate so just beating of him with physical attacks can lead to you killing yourself sometimes. You'll want a good healer for this fight - youself or one of your allies that can full-heal everyone in one turn. Because Megidolaon really hurts. Luckily uou can use his stragey and bomb him with Megidos with your protag if you are having a hard time with his counters - Megido is non- elemental so he doesn't resist it. He will sometimes try and cast Tentarafoo to confuse people, but at this stage in the game, all of your party members will have Wake-up Hit because you've been following my guid so they will cure each other without any issue. If you want, just play it safe and keep healed and whittle him down with spells until he dies. ---- BOSS -------------------------- Adachi - ? Lv.? - ?hp, ?sp -------------------------- Abilities: Heat Riser, Vorpal Blade, Maziodyne, Dekaja, Magarudyne, Power Charge, Atom Smasher One thing to keep in mind is that this is not the final battle, and you will have a fight right after it. So do not expend too much SP or waste items on this easy-ish fight. Keep everyone topped up with health near the end, so you can go into the next fight ready. He will usually use Heat Riser first, use Dekaja to dispell it from him, as it really make him a bit of a pain. He will usually spam Vorpal Blade at the beginning of the battle, it's physical damage to the whole party, but all you need to do is just heal up. When he gets below 50% health he will start using spells. Maziodyne and Magarudyne will hurt if you have Yosuke, Kanji or Teddie in the party. Having Trumpeter or something else that has no weakness, that will help you out. If he gets another turn because of a weakness hit, he will use Dekaja if you have buffed yourself, or if you have no buffs he will Power Charge himself. After Power Charging he will use Atom Smasher which is a physical attack that hits everyone a couple times. If you need to, block with your protag. He can be a bit of a pain, but he's not too bad. He's more of a time-waster boss before... ---- BOSS -------------------------------- Ameno-Sagiri - ? Lv.? - ?hp, ?sp -------------------------------- Abilities: Bufudyne, Agnestraysa, God's Judgement, Nebula Oculas, Bewilding Fog, Mind Charge, Tarukaja, Sukukaja, Megidola, Dekaja, Quake Keep in mind this boss gets two attacks per turn. Usually at the start he will use Bufudyne first and Agnestrays or God's Judgement second. Agne is physical damage to the whole party, and God's Judgement takes exactly half hp. If you're a bit low on SP from the last battle, use these opening turns to use some items to get your SP back up, because later on in the battle you might not be so free to do so. Sometimes he will use Nebula Oculas which is just physical damage to all. At about 50% health, he will start using Bewildering Fog. He will use Mind Charge on the second turn. During the fog, you won't be able to hit him, so don't even try. Use this turn to heal/buff everyone up. On the second turn he is covered in fog, he will buff himself. Use one person (preferably Kanji since he has the most health) to debuff the boss while you guard with everyone else. He will lift the fog and used a charged-up attack on the party. Since everyone was blocking and you used someone with high health to debuff, everyone should survive so heal them up. He will go through this fog phase a few times, depending on how well you are getting his health down. Just remember when he uses the fog, he has one turn in the fog not attacking so you are safe to heal up, but guard or raise your defense for the second turn, because he will lift the fog and attack. At about 30% health, he will start using Megidola too which is a bit of a pain. Having a really good healer for this battle is definately essential. And if they are running low on SP you may be able to use the 'safe' fog round to restore some of their SP. He will also start using Quake at this time too, which is a pain because it usually critical hits someone. Quake is usually followed by Bewildering Fog though, unless you are unlucky. When you eventually win, you capture Adachi. You'll get some messages to hang out with people that you are in lovers relationships with. Choose to spend time with Naoto, as you will get a special costume for doing so. If you wish to see the other scenes with other people, you can load your save and watch them if you wish. If you don't choose to hang out with any of your lovers, you can hang out with the guys instead for an amusing night.
