Electra and the Stone Flowers?

Okay, So this is actually a two in one question. A while back I gave the green core to Elena,who strengthened my Golem saying I could now cross strong ocean currents,as long as I remain in somewhat shallow waters. I have two quests for new islands, One is Electra's Legend of Stone Flowers. And then Bacchus also has a similar quest about raising a shipwreck,its roughly in the same region but for some reason everytime I try to walk there,I'm told the current is too strong. Why can't I get there? I can't get another core I have no other temples,I haven't been able to get to them!

I did the quest where I find the island for Joe,but now I'm trying the other too and I still can't make it to the sunken ships. It's getting to be so frustrating.

Ok, I literally slammed my head into a wall over this problem for 30 minutes before i noticed what was wrong. If you start from the town, head west and then go north. You can cross the streams, but the gigantic dark area stops you from going the shortest route.

Answer

You should have a request from Joe who will tell you to raise an island between two reefs that look like faces looking at each other, you can cross the current right between those face shaped reefs. From there you can jog around to the various locations for the next few quests.

As said by others,

You can cross the current where the 'Two Face' Reef is at, as well as an Island is at.
* X marks the spot *

From there use the 'Over Head Vie' (down on D Pad) to get a better view and to actually make progress.
*I had the same issue, TG!!4 Overhead View controls! ie way-points *
