 To navigate much easier through this guide, I added the search system, which
works just by following these simple steps:

- Highlight the "Section Code" of the section which you wish to go and copy it
  (CTRL+C).

- Press CTRL+F to bring up the search sub-menu.

- Paste (CTRL+V) the "Section Code" and press ENTER twice to be where you

 Howdy y'all and welcome to my Anima: Ark of Sinners FAQ/Walkthrough for the
Nintendo Wii. I bought a Wii a couple days ago with no games and my buddy
Bkstunt hooked me up with this game, and I love it.

 Despite what ALL the reviews say, I've enjoyed this game quite a bit. Love the
art put into it, love the music, and the story, which I still don't quite get
it, its interesting. The gameplay is a bit chuncky, but hey, that's not a big
problem for me.

 There're some things I want to address so please read the following
paragraphs:

- I'm writing this for free and because I like this game (just like I mentioned
above). If you are looking for tons of eloquent ways for me to say "move left,
kill the Shadows and proceed", you are going to be so disappointed. This guide
is way too big to begin with, and lofty language does not help.

- If you take a quick scan thru my guide, you won't find the explanations for
battle basics, main menu, saving-loading, etc. Why, you ask? Well, because the
game manual in the Wii Shop Channel and in-game tutorials do a perfect job
explaining 'em.

- The usage of abbreviations. When you're in my place or any who writes for
GameFAQ's or any other page, writing a guide for any game of such proportions,
people complain about using too many abbreviations. You have no idea how
helpful abbreviations are. It also looks better in every aspect you think.

- The spoilers are great issues in making guides. I am a player of the game,
just like you are. The first time I played through this game was completely
by myself. I didn't read any spoilers, therefore nothing was spoiled for me.
All the story's ups and downs that were supposed to surprise me had such
effect. And I really think it's not fair spoiling such story elements to you.
Even if I want to spoil it to you, I'll bite my fingers so you can get the most
spoiler-free walkthrough here.

 Ark, everything begins and ends in this forgotten city. While fleeing from her
pursuers, Celia and her partner Nemo fall into the depths of the earth. All
alone, she awakens in an unknown location; an empty metropolis inhabited only
by shadows.

 Refusing to abandon her only friend, Celia will initiate a descent into the
depths of Ark. A journey that will lead her to the deepest secrets of the
ancient city, and of her own soul.

 Everything about Celia is shrouded in mystery, even to herself.

 Without past or identity, her earliest memories were of wandering through a
deserted wasteland until falling unconscious. Her small body was then found,
barely alive, by members of an ancient secret society. And from the very
beginning they felt she was special. Rescuing from death's doors, her saviors
trained and prepared the girl to be a living weapon; a perfect fighter that far
exceeded human limits.

 At first, Celia absorbed their teachings with devotion, as a good daughter
trying to impress her parents would. However, as she matured, Celia began to
wonder if what she was doing was right.

 Finally, on the day that Celia became sixteen, she was sent to end the life of
a renegade agent who had betrayed the society. After a long chase she managed
to corner him. But despite all her skill, Celia was not a murderer.

 Letting him go, she realized that she could never return to her old life, and
ran as far as she could. Hoping to find her past. Something that she could call
her own and help to redeem her sins.

   ~-~  ID  ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

 ID is the name of the strange character who Celia meets in Ark City. Dressed
in Harlequin clothes and speaking in a mysterious way, this immortal being
claims to be so old that it doesn't remember even its own history.

 Neither friend nor foe, it helps Celia just for the pleasure of escape from
the eternal monotony in which its existence has sunk.

   ~-~  NEMO  ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

 Little is known about Nemo, the mysterious companion for whom Celia will risk
everything. Both knew each other before they arrived in Ark City, but after her
accident, the young girl is unable to remember the bond that exist between them
or even how they met.

 All she knows for sure is that he is someone important to her. And that saving
him will also save a part of her soul.

Game, Continue Game, Special and Options. Select New Game, pick up your
difficulty, Normal for the guide and let the magic begin.

 As we start, we appear to be in an unknown place, both for us and for Celia.
This place is easy as it's kinda like the tutorial for the game. Just go left
and do as it says, press 2 to jump, blah blah blah. When you get to the far
left, you'll be surrounded in fog and a little scene triggers. After it, you'll
be at...

 Ok, so you'll be introduced to the normal enemies of the game, the Shadows. At
least that's what Celia calls them. Just wait for it to do its attack (double
hit) and combo him. 1 + 1 + 1. That should do. Go left while you check out the
backgrounds and delight yourself with the music. In the next room, you'll find
some statues, so break 'em to get some HP orbs and NK orbs.

 In the third area, keep on going left and watch out for that green fog. If you
fall into it, you'll die and have to start from the beginning of the area. Jump
over the gap and a little bit more left, you'll find some more Shadows. Jump
over the second gap and you'll find a new enemy, the Red Shadow. These only use
beam attacks, so when you see it moves its arm backwards, crouch to evade it.
They die in one hit, so just evade and attack.

 Keep on going to the left. You'll find another Red Shadow, but beware of not
getting hit by this one because if you do, you'll end up in the pit with green
fog, so that's a no no. Now jump over the last gap and go left to trigger
another scene, in which we meet ID. After the scene, you'll have to fight a
larger Shadow. These are stronger, of course, but also slower and a tad easier
to hit, IMO.

 Kill it, save your game using the crystal on the left just floating there and
go left to enter...

 This area looks exactly the same as the Oriental Gardens, but it's more
annoying. As you can see by checking the map, we have 2 exits from this area,
the upper and lower exit. We're gonna go for the lower exit first, since we
need to do something in this lower exit to be able to get to the upper exit.

   <vin> To many times the word "exit" in that last paragraph, XP.

 Go on left and you'll be in a forced fight with some Shadows. Nothing to worry
about. Go left some more, kill some more Shadows and when you reach a statue
with nothing but green fog behind, jump on the ledges of the pillars right next
to the statue. At the top, go left and you'll have to fight a new enemy, the
Mouth.

   <vin> That's what I call it. It has a mouth (what looks like a mouth),
   several arms and something that looks like eyes. They remind me of the
   sorcerers of Kingdom Hearts 2 XD.

 The best thing to do against them is to jump and do an air combo against them.
Their attack consists of using a quick attack orb that lunges against you. When
you evade it, it turns into a homming orb. Just use your sword to get rid of
it. Annoying, but there aren't many of them at the beginning of the game.

 Remember this area, where you fought this Mouth. The path starts going
downwards after it, but if you look closely, there's a couple of ledges coming
out of the pillars that allow you to go upwards. There's a Red Shadow waiting
for you up here, so dodge it and go left. You'll see that you won't be able to
proceed, so return to where you killed the mouth and go left following the
lower path.

 Jump over the gaps, kill the annoying Red Shadows and you'll be yet in another
forced battle against a large Shadow. Go left and you'll see 2 Red Shadows.
Kill 'em and go up, behind the upper Red Shadow. You'll find a large gear
that's shinning. Hit it and remember the ledge on the pillar that was moved and
you couldn't proceed? Well, remember that we already moved it, so return to
where you killed the Mouth and follow the upper path and move into the
building.

 Destroy the lone statue here and proceed left. A scene triggers where you find
your first 'MONOLITH'. Watch the scene and you'll obtain your first Monolith.

 After the Monolith, you'll have to fight a large Shadow and some normal ones.
Then go left, save your game and go left ALL the way until you reach...
