"Super Mario Galaxy is a pure joy to play."

Gameplay 10/10: Whether you are fighting a boss (like the epic first Bowser battle), or completing a string of difficult jumps to get a star (in Sweet, Sweet Galaxy), you are constantly being filled up with the same joy as the first time you opened Super Mario 64 anpd began the first level. Although it is more linear than previous Mario games, and the hub is unexplorable, it is a much welcome change to the flipping and diving neccesary to get to a level in Isle Delfino, and the sense of confusion as to where to go for the star in both SM64 and SMS. Super Mario Galaxy goes back to the 2D roots.

Graphics 9.7/10 Sit back, look around, and enjoy the wonderful textures and lighting effects.

Story 9/10 No, the story is not great. Yes, there's barely a story at all. But play through the prolouge, and tell me that isn't epic.

Performance 10/10 No slow downs or loading, a solid 60 fps all the way through.

Use of the Wiimote 10/10 Special category. Everything feels natural, and the Wiimote finally feels like it compliments a game, as opposed to being tacked on and unnesecary.

Overall 10/10 What can I say? Best Mario ever.
