"A great finale to an excellent series!"
So finally, it is here! The final game in the Metroid Prime trilogy. This is an awesome game well worth getting if you own a Wii.
Now the graphics for this game were actually well done. They may not be perfect, but they are well done nonetheless.
The story is decent. It starts off with Samus entering the Federation ship, Olympus. Soon after, the ship gets attacked by Pirates. This is where Samus's adventure begins.
Now the controls for this game are really awesome. This game probably interacts with the Wiimote's motion sensors the most. You will also require s Nunchuck controller, but you should already have that. At the beginning of the game, you will be taught the basic controls to cope with different environments.
I would say this is one of the top games for having the best gameplay. The bosses in this game are fun to face, and the missions are also challenging, but enjoyable. Also, the characters (except Samus) actually talk in this game. The battle style is essentially the same as the first two primes, except with some different weapons as well as different controls (which are way better). There are also two difficulties under which you can play: Normal and Veteran (the harder one), so if you feel like more of a challenge, choose the Veteran difficulty.
The sound and music are basically the same, with some new added tunes. Nothing really special.
Replay value: 9/10
If you beat this game once, you will probably want to beat it again, especially if you played it on Normal difficulty, whereas you would try it again on Veteran difficulty. You will probably eventually get bored of it, but that won't happen for a while.
So overall, I give this game a 9/10. It's not perfect, but it's pretty darn close. If you own a Wii, I highly recommend you get this game. It's a great first person shooter, with effective controls to enhance the gameplay.
