What's up with the yellow light?

When i turn my Wii off the light turns yellow; not red. I either have to hold the power button down for a few seconds or unplug it to make the light go red.
Why is this happening and is there anything i can do to fix it?

It means that your Wii is in standby mode, and talking with Wii Connect 24. You can disable it by doing what pkmi said.

You have the wireless adapter always on.
To disable it, Options>Settings page 2>Wiiconnect24 and turn off Standby mode.

I have the same thing and dont worry about it. If you have the Wii Connect 24 on then you may unplug your TV and plug it back in.It will happen again if you turn it back on. If you dont have a Will Connect 24 and is still Green or Yellow when you turn it off its warning you that something is wrong with it and should be fixed someplace. This also means if it is off and is still Green or Yellow you should still take it someplace for it to be fixed and dont ever open up your Wii if you dont know what your doing. If I did know what to do I whould still not open your Wii up. It could still PERMINLETLY DAMAGE your Wii and would not be able to be fixed.
